Handy location for the hospital. The hotel sits in lovely and well maintained grounds. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and competitively priced. The pool and sauna aren't huge but they are well kept and as there wasn't a crowd of people clamouring to get in the size wasn't an issue. Our room was nicely appointed - not huge by any stretch but more than sufficient for one night. The bathroom was lovely and clean. Both rooms got very hot, even with heating off and window open! Breakfast was served between 7 and 10. Continental and full cooked were tasty and hot. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be returning

Fantastic hotel. Highly recommended . We have just spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel . The rooms were clean and comfortable and facilities excellent. You could not wish to find a more relaxing setting to unwind for a few hours , between the grounds and the lounges we were spoilt for choice . What made the stay special however was the superb customer service, probably the best we have come across and we stay regularly in hotels both UK and abroad. The staff were lovely from the Receptionists to the house keeping staff everyone had a smile and polite hello. It really did stand out . We will certainly be visiting again very soon

Great I adored the lady who checked us in the was fantastic with the kids and gave such a great welcome she is perfect front of house. The swimming pool needs work the lights all have dead bulbs in so a bit dark and my son stood on a foreign object which wasnt great. Menu was not good or priced well so we went out. Breakfast great absolutely fantastic coffee and plentiful. An easy simple check out topped it off.

Its closed at the moment as its being used for emergency accom due to C-19. It was a shock to my system to be here, majority are working people like myself. Cant fault the staff, grounds, rooms and other residents. Everyone is so friendly and I will gladly return in better times.

Lovely anniversary trip away. Nothing to fault. A wedding was going on at the same time but didn't impact on service we received. Every member of staff we spoke to or came into contact with couldn't do enough for us. Food was excellent. Had 3 course meal in the evening and breakfast next morning. Would definitely stay again.

Tale of two halves, most of the staff where very attentive and the hotel is set in lovely surroundings. Very bad experience with the evening meal service, rushed to finish our food, then presented with the bill before had finished our meal even though we had not asked for it. Never offered or had the chance to have coffees or brandy, was also looking forward to the cheeseboard, but alas, it was never going to happen on that particular evening. Seemed the guy on service wanted to be somewhere else! Breakfast was also a disappointment, as food was cold and some food had even congealed. Would not recommend! Gave feedback to management, via email as requested. though to date, (some three weeks later) we never got a response.

This is actually a really nice place, the architecture is elegant and stylish but, it needs a refreshing. Rooms are big so are the beds and comfy. There's a gym, I didn't use and a pool, the pool looks to be 12 may be 15 metres, due to my late arrival I didn't use the pool either. Access is along a single track road that you can get a caravan or motor home down.

My wife, baby and I stayed for two nights over the weekend of my sisters wedding. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay and very helpful. The wedding was fantastic and the grounds a beautiful setting on a lovely summers day. The bar prices aren't cheap, but what you would expect for a spa hotel. The food provided was delicious and well presented. Our room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed, but if I'm being picky the decoration was a little tired in places and we had two out of four light bulbs in our room not working on arrival. The room was also very hot, but reception provide a fan on request and I've found all hotels to be this way for some reason. Overall a very nice weekend and an excellent hotel.

Good Value and Brilliant Staff and Breakfast. Only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because their were some problems with electrical items. Hairdryer in room did not work and both lights by side of bed did not work. Reception and staff at breakfast were very attentive and had been well trained. Room and bed were very big. Plenty of hot water for shower. Enjoyed a swim before breakfast. Disappointed jacuzzi was filled in. Breakfast was fabulous the next day. Felt good value for money. Would recommend as a place to stay for someone visiting Chester/Wrexham. Grounds were lovely.

The hotel itself was well presented with lovely grounds however when you looked with a little more scrutiny you could see some issues. A lot of the carpets in the main corridors were coming up along the walls and in the corners. Although we had a double room we got given 2 single beds pushed together and the mattresses were old, squeaky and curled at the edges. However we found all the staff to be exceptional and more than happy to help with any problems we had. Also the free drinks vouchers were a nice touch.

Lovely hotel but second visit when I have had my sleep disturbed by noisy pipes or heating system. It sounded like swooshing water! Shame as hotel and setting are lovely. Staff also very friendly and helpful. We also had nice meal in the evening and breakfast was fine. Not having much sleep spoilt it though.

The hotel itself was nice, bedroom lovely and clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Set in pleasant grounds. Breakfast very nice. However, we arrived on NYE, to find out the pool was closed, which we hadn't been advised. This was one of the key factors for choosing the hotel. For some reason there was also no hot water in the bathroom first thing in the morning, although we did get some after breakfast. All in all, a pleasant stay.
