👍👍 Light and airy refurbished pub restaurant with a good varied menu, excellent food and service. We had Garlic mushrooms, Cauliflower steaks in a peppercorn sauce followed up with sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and wouldn't have changed a thing. People often mention staff, service, time, good, views, lovely, excellent, great, Sunday,

This year my husband and I decided to go to a nice restaurant on Boxing Day for dinner. Our choice fell on the Tyn-y-Capel. We were definitely encouraged by the price of a great set, for a three-day meal we paid £ 22.95 per person. The restaurant is located in the new part added to the old pub building. A quite attractive place, from the windows you can admire the beautiful panorama of the mountains. It was already dark and foggy (we will definitely come back to see this view for sure). The place is refreshed but rather modestly decorated. We did not wait too long for the meal, the staff has a little communication problem because earlier I sent our selection of the set by e-mail and on the spot it turned out that they do not know anything about it in the kitchen. For us, it was not a problem, we chose what we wanted once again, but in the future the hosts should pay attention to it, because maybe someone will write to them with some special dietary recommendations, etc. First class starter, we liked it very much. Main course ok but somehow nothing special and delicious cheesecake for dessert. The place is very clean, a bit off the beaten track so there are no crowds here.

Where do I start . Very poor from the staff from the moment we walked in it’s as if they know your not local . On arrival we walked the the bar as we had a table booking so sat at a table decided what good we was having and went to the bar to order . Whilst stood at the bar for a short while the bar staff went to serve someone who just walked up to the bar after me , this happened about 3 times when I went to the bar the attitude on them wasn’t very good it was as if they was on community service and not getting paid for being there . So the food came and we was offered no condements so I ask the (MANAGER) for some sauce his reply was what I’ll get some now which never arrived . I think this is a real shame as the place and setting is lovely whoever owns that place needs to sort the staff out they are dragging the place down as I went there on recommendation never again and I won’t recommend it to anyone else

I was really looking forward to going here as ive never been before but if im honest was quite disappointed. Felt uncomfortable if im honest. Staff werent very friendly. My partner was going to the bar and a couple of times they served someone who came to bar after him.We ordered food. It came and we were offered no sauces etc. My partner asked for sauce and the guy abruptly said he would get some but never did. Some off the staff are seriously lacking in customer service. A smile would be nice. Such a shame as what a beautiful setting. The view was amazing and thats what the stars a for. I wouldnt return or recommend here.

Wowzers, what a great menu. Delicious homemade quality food. Amazing views across the mountains too. Great beer garden. Had the parmesan chicken and was thrilled.

I'd never heard of this pub before until my granddaughter moved nearby recently. Food was lovely. Sunday lunch was 3 courses £19.50 and very generous portions. Thoroughly recommend the black pudding, smoked bacon and goats cheese stack. A beautiful view across to what I think is the start of World's End. It must be fantastic to sit on the terrace on a sunny day. Lots of tables and booths outside. Will be back to try their regular menu.

Called to this pub after a very wet dog walk. Had a very warm welcome from staff and locals! Food is good, but the service was amazing.!! Would definitely come again for the staff. They were friendly, attentive and smart.

Attractive and quaint village pub with a large bar area and a number of smaller rooms. Each time I've been I've been it's been with a private party and the food, both buffet and table service, has been very tasty and the staff very pleasant.

We arrived just after 12pm on a Sunday. It was quite quiet, and we were seated almost instantly. Food took under 10 minutes to arrive after ordering and was the best Sunday lunch I've had at a pub ever. The leek was a nice Welsh touch on the turkey lunch. By the time we left, the place was starting to fill up with what I expect is the usual Sunday lunchers. Would definitely go back.

I am glutenfree, food was delicious but a small choice. We went previously and had an offer 2 meals for so much, plus it was a better choice on gluten-free. Bring back more choices for us, please. Thank u, though, and great staff xx

4 of us had Sunday lunch here today and were really impressed with the food. One starter of black pudding, goats cheese and bacon stack which was absolutely delicious. 2 mains of lamb and 2 of the roast beef dinner followed by apple pie and sticky toffee pudding. All the food was excellent and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be returning

I’ve always had a good experience. I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered the black and blue chicken for the first time which is the house special. I’ve never been so fascinated with food that I couldn’t decide if I liked or not. It’s like marmite. I decided in the end that do I like it.

Pretty much a rerun of our last visit with Tyn-Y-Capel providing excellent service, atmosphere and food. Like last time we enjoyed the Garlic Mushrooms, Culiflower Steak and Sticky Toffee pudding. One thing I forgot to recommend last time was to have salt and pepper wedges with the cauliflower steak, it's totally to die for. Enjoy your visit 😁

Visited here for the first time since the new owners took over. Service by the staff was top class, and they were all very attentive and friendly. Food was absolutely gorgeous and served very quickly! Only thing I would change is a few more dessert options if possible. Love that we have this as our local and the new owners have really made a great impression! Will be back really soon!

60th Party for my wife. Amazing 3 course meal for 20 people and a gorgeous buffet later for 100. Staff couldn't have been better. Every one who attended said they Loved it all. Thanks for a special day.

Beautiful location, stunning views from beer garden and plenty of parking. We hired the function room for a wake, lovely and intimate, as we had around 40 people. Excellent service, delicious buffet with more than plenty to eat. No rush to get us out, stayed for a few hours. Highly recommended, thank you Tyn y Capel for an amazing service xx

Nice food lovely views and setting. I think we visited at the wrong time as diners as there was a party in full swing so the staff weren't as attentive as they could have been. Hopefully that was just because they were busy. I would definitely try again 😊

First time here with a few friends. Place was clean and tidy. Main meal was served quickly. I had the lamb burger and my friends all had the hunters chicken, both were very good, cooked to perfection. Asked for dessert menus but the girl forgot so we were waiting a short while for them, then we all ordered the fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. It was served to us with mint ice cream instead, not a problem for me but two of my friends didn't like mint, I feel the staff should have mentioned this when taking our order. One suggestion I would also give is to move the table right next to the entrance/exit to somewhere else, as every time someone walked through it we were freezing. Overall I enjoyed my visit and will be visiting again.

Great contemporary decorated pub restaurant, keeping traditional feel to it in a fantastic location with stunning views from the outside seating terraced area. Good selection of drinks and good food all at reasonable prices. Could become my local.

Honestly what a lovely pub, I took my better half to this pub and it didn’t disappoint. Loved every moment, from the music on a Thursday night to the lovely food and drink selection. The only reason this pub isn’t 5 star is because of the managers tie selection lol! What a great local pub.

Our first visit in 5 years for a lunch. The restaurant had definitely improved from then with a good selection. My daughter had the Chicken in Stilton sauce and my Wife ate the Fish and Chips both said it was excellent. Only missing the 5 stars by a whisker but will return again.

Brilliant as usual. A perfect local Welsh pub with everything you’d expect. Staff were excellent and accommodating. Food was lovely and many options for veggie/vegan/gluten free which was a big plus. Always look forward to coming to the Tyn and it never lets me down. Best Moretti in North Wales!
