Staff were busy on the day of my appointment but i had no help in choosing my glasses what so ever, i felt like i was being rushed into choosing glasses and there wasnt much choice to choose from.I choose 2 pairs of glasses i asked the girl if they suited me she said yes even without looking properly. After i came out of store i was abit worried if i had choosen the correct glasses, a week later i picked the glasses up, a gentleman served me but on opening the first pair of glasses he was shocked to discover there were scratches on lenses and a big scratch on frame he did his best to take the scratches away i stated they shouldnt be like that new glasses i tried them on but on looking at them on me i knew they didnt suit me, he said to take them and see how i get on with them i was annoyed they were scratches on them as i have paid extra for these glasses i got home and nobody liked the glasses on me i persarvered for a week but i went back to store to tell them my concerns i was able to choose another pair of glasses but i feel this is unacceptable as i was also not helped with choosing any glasses this time either ,i have always gone here but i think i will be looking else were when my next checkup is due as they have gone downhill.I know we have a pandemic going on and maybe they are short staffed but they still should be doing the job they were trained to do this shouldnt change due to covid i understand they have different measures in place now but there's no need for all this rushing and not helping customers out because of covid. Terrible workmanship, no help ,no advice ive picked up my new glasses but i can assure you i will never go into specsavers ever again.About 5._6 ladies on the shop floor some were busy doing there job but the others to busy talking amongst themselves personally i think they need to be retrained customers look elsewere, surely there are better opticians in Wrexham even if the town has a bad name due to no shops .

I do not look forward to my eye-tests here. I do not find the staff particularly friendly or helpful. I am elderly and partially disabled. The chairs are much too low . The young woman who did a preliminary test with a large machine in a tiny room (not the optician) actually got up at the end of it and pushed the heavy machine into my chest as she did so. I was pinned against the wall with the machine pressing against my chest, and she just walked away. I had to try and push this heavy machine away and struggle up from a low chair. On my two visits, I have found the opticians not really friendly either. I do wonder if it is because I am an NHS eye-test client. Whatever, they could be more respectful. I think I will go elsewhere in future.

Absolutely disgraceful service. The staff were rude, disrespectful and have absolutely no customer service skills. My appointment was 3.50 I had test after test due to them needing to redo them. All I could hear was the staff discussing how they were due to go home and what an inconvenience I was behind the curtain. I needed to choose glasses and had an extremely rude member of staff a blonde lady with glasses being ubrupt with me stating how they needed to close. Fair enough but I had an appointment at 3.50 I was there on time. I was made to wait. I was polite and went to the optiticians to get new glasses. I came away with no glasses and was extremely disappointed with the service.

Great experience and swift service. I'd popped in on the off chance that a pair or old glasses could have plain glass fitted for a theatre production and quickly! They went above and beyond and the glasses were ready within hours, a fantastic result!

My first time there. I didn't have to wait long before I was fitted for two pairs of glasses, a BOGOF deal. The staff were friendly, if not charming, and highly professional. I would definitely recommend it to anyone

My wife and I both had appointments at Specsavers in Wrexham last Wednesday and I have to say we received top class attention. The technology is amazing and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming.

After an eye test in Boots I wasn’t convinced I’d been given the correct advice about my prescription so popped to specsavers to have a look at their range of glasses. I chose some and saw James who did in fact give me the best care and advice and said I did in fact need different lenses. I paid more than I expected to but his care and attention was second to none. When I picked them up he once again was so fussy (in a good way!) and made sure they fit me perfectly. Thankyou James you’re an asset to this branch

Really good and highly recommended. The treatment both in the opthalmic and audiology areas is excellent. More personal and thorough than somewhere like Specsavers! Nice atmosphere and very friendly.

Always busy. I was pleased that they picked up an anomaly, and I was sent the the Eye Unit at the Countess for more tests.

Busy but well ran. Staff friendly and competent. Brilliant with my children. I found the range of designer glasses a bit limited, looked like a reasonable amount but lots of duplicates. Would have liked a bit more choice

Very happy with the clinical staff and option during an eye test. They were kind and engaging and friendly. I have never had glasses before so it was all quite new to me. The bit I really did not enjoy was the salesman at the end. He seemed impatient and frustrated at my questions about what seems like quite a complex pricing structure. He dismissed the glasses I had picked and generally made me feel very uncomfortable. I didn't really understand what his purpose was either. He is clearly paid handsomely judging by his expensive watch, suit and shoes. I got typical salesman vibes. Sorry not for me and I had to leave as quick as I could. Will only use again because work provide a voucher for the eye test exclusively with them

Went in without appointment to browse new glasses after recent eye test. I was sat down and spoken to and given more information than I needed and without pressure to spend more than I wanted to given 1st class service as though I was the only customer in the shop. Thank you James ( I think) White man in his 40s to 50s with South East accent who was very well presented. You are an asset to the store.

Arrived Friday 3.15pm very busy in the store. Asked to sit down, then up and down for variety of tests. Shop was very warm and strong smell of BO was apparent in the small testing rooms. Not good. Finally had my eye test 40 mins after I arrived. Shop still to busy so didn’t manage to purchase new specs as it had all taken so long, and most of that was waiting around, I then had to go back to work. Very disappointed, got out of shop 5pm with no new specs and prescription had changed. Now need to factor in time to buy new glasses !!!

Popped In for some advice about new glasses. Spoke to James, he was really professional and gave me a much better insight than my current Opticians. I will definitely be buying my next glasses here.

Absolutely wonderful lady called Barbara helped me with finding the right glasses after feeling swamped and unable to make a choice with having to wear a mask and try and choose. Nothing was too much trouble and she went into great detail, despite my having had help the previous day after my test, which was also conducted meticulously. I didn't feel rushed or pushed, I felt listened to and my questions properly answered. They've won me as a customer because the level of personal care was unlike I've experienced from the Wrexham's other opticians.

Went to NHS GP who advised me I need an operation but first I need to have wax removal which the NHS don't do anymore. I booked to see the Audiologist at Wrexham specsavers some months ago, two days before the appointment I was contacted to say that the Audiologist had been involved in a car accident and will not be in work. I kept checking dates and they were fully booked, 2 months later (last week) I booked my second appointment to see the Audiologist for this week 15th. Had a call today informing me that the Audiologist is on long term sick so they are not offering the service at present. But they are training a lady at present, from my understanding you would need a qualified Audiologist to teach and instruct audiology. So something is a miss with this branch. Even though they cannot offer this service they still have all the appointments online, have active marketing campaigns on social media pushing wax removal due to NHS demand. The receptionist was kind and polite so not her fault, but this branch is a shambles, I could potentially loose my hearing due to the negligence of this business. I will be reporting to head office, and also to my health insurance who use specsavers.

It was a bit of a waiting time to get inside to my appointment, because of Covid 19 restrictions and only so many people aloud in at a time, but it's a well respected opticians for a reason, and I think it's a respectable place to visit

Just want to thank the whole team for a really efficient and professional service from start to finish. Especially Gemma Harris who today clearly explained everything in a very understandable way so I left feeling confident we are on the right track and on the mend. Instead of confused and full of doubt like I experienced after talking to an Optometrist doctor. Also thank you to John Kamaluddin who over a year ago discovered concerns and forwarded my details to the Maelor hospital.

We are on holiday from Northampton and the screw fell out of my wife's glasses! 🤦 Popped in in the off-chance to see if they could be repaired, the lady who greeted me was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful! She fixed them in five minutes and didn't even charge. Thank you so much, disaster averted! 10/10.

I went for my yearly check up. I was seen very quickly although whilst I was there it came to light that an elderly gentleman had been sitting there for 1 hrs 20mins because someone crossed his name off as being seen already. I have mobility issues so they do ask this when booking and arrange for you to be seen downstairs. I then went back a week later and service was not so good. As I waited in the queue someone smelt badly of Body odour and when that person who worked there came to me I quickly realised it was them. They took me to a desk so sort out the glasses but the smell was awful. It's not very good when your working closely to people and you smell awful. I did try to email specsavers but it was coming up as being under management and was unable to do it. They got me to try the glasses on but did not check how tight the arms were like others have done in the past. You could also do with having little bags there, just small enough to pop glasses in. I had picked up two pairs and don't have any handbags due to using crutches and they get in the way. I am unable to carry the cases due to crutches but a little bag can be hooked through the fingers. Just an idea for people on crutches like myself.

After having double vision where another opticians failed to diagnose, specsavers wrexham were highly professional and thorough in finding out the cause of the issue. Same day appointment from booking. Highly recommend.

My 88 year old father has just had his appointment cancelled for the 4th time!! I cannot believe how bad the service is here. He was faithfully promised this one would not be cancelled as he has been waiting for months. Today was very important to him as it was preparation for his cataract surgey, appauling it was cancelled! I think anyone should seriously consider other opticians

Terrible customer service! Went in to look for some sunglasses to be rudely told that it’s appointment only, even to just browse their frames. They have lost a potential customer, very unhappy.

The staff were very professional and polite. The Covid restrictions were adhered to and in no way impacted on my experience. I didn’t wait for long between tests and was able to find spectacles to my taste. I chose the comfit range and they are far and way the most comfortable spectacles I have ever worn. I have no complaints with the service at all.

My wife and I recently had eye tests and subsequently new glasses at a vision express store - there service and quality was shocking (Sunglasses that were sent with clear lenses being just one.) So we did like the advert says - we went to Specsavers- what a difference much more thorough and accurate exam and the optician(sorry didn’t get a name) was very thorough when it came to selecting frames one of the store assistants- Phil, was a huge help helping us to get the best suited frames. Overall a fantastic service from all involved at Wrexham Specsavers

I was sent an email to say my eye test was over due, so booked online to get it done in the Wrexham branch, confirmation email received with the branch name, date and time. Arrived at the date and time booked in for to be told we have no record of your booking. Showed the email confirming the date and time, was asked to wait in waiting area, asked if I was paying or had a voucher said I was paying. Funny in less than 10 minutes I was whisked through for every test they could throw at me I declined one but still had it done then after that they Well and truly robbed me blind for 1 set of glasses. I paid the same price for 2 sets of glass on my last trip there. Not amused by it all seems that my 1st trip they bent over backwards to get my custom now they just want to fleece you, if got 2 pairs of glasses it would of been close to £600.00 . Would mind the 2st trip I asked for the 2 sets of glasses to be done exactly the same, they never put my reacter lights on my second pair as I suffer from migraines and nothing can be done with them, as they are over 12mths old when my glasses broke and I needed to use the second pair. So not impressed by them at all. No they can't put a tint on them either waste of £250.00 .

Very nice staff but I can't review anything else because we were five minutes late so they cancelled our appointment! Make sure you get there early because parking is a nightmare and they won't bother to wait for you!
