Great to explore and lovely walks. Also even more to explore if you know where to look and dont mind going a bit underground but your obviously not meant to go inside these parts as there fenced/gated off for safety reasons but people have forced some open.

Impressively big quarry remains, with loads of interesting ruins to see and paths to explore. Not a lot of signage but enough to follow, and all the paths downwards cross main roads and lead to the Lead Mines about two miles away where there's free parking.

This was my first visit to the Minera Quarry. It was quite a surprise. It’s a large area and it was good to walk right up to the top of the quarry and look back at the view. A very good walk.

Free parking, lovely walk with plenty of routes to choose from. If you get onto the top of the quarry there are horses in the field you walk through. Can also see part of the old lead mines

What an amazing resource, right on our doorstep. Love bringing my dog here for walks off the lead. All paths safely fenced and the scenery is spectacular. I can't guarantee the weather however!

What a wonderful place to walk,,, only downside is the uneducated dog owners who pick up their dog's poo in a bag, then leave it in the trees or on the fencing

Very quiet! There's lots of stones, rocks and trees and nothing else, apart from lots of paths to walk.

This could be a great place to visit. We visited it on a Thursday afternoon and found there were no signs, story boards, restoration work, staff or even any other visitors. Most of the former buildings, stonework, etc. were covered in overgrowth which limited what you can see, and you can't venture past the barriers for your own safety. Some of the barriers were fallen which gave it a derelict feel which made me wonder if we should have been there. The place had a similar vibe to a Welsh version of "The Hills have Eyes".

Lovely dog friendly walking area. You can follow paths either up to the disused quarry, or to the disused lead mines . There are some signs , and there is a stream for dogs to have a drink.

Nothing really special. There is more things to see in that area. I believe it’s a good walk with the dog for local people

Despite its industrial heritage, that reserve is a wonderful oasis of open space and a sanctuary for wildlife. I have seen cuckoos, skylarks and a peregrine falcon.

What a hidden treasure. The site is much bigger than you'd expect and is redolent of centuries of mining history and evidence of all the mineral layers laid down over millennia. We went in winter, so no wild flowers, but it was still a good walk, and lovely to hear the ravens.
