After visting this pub for the past 8 years and always enjoying it we will not be going back again Food was okay although we had to wait for a few missing items from our order. Staff extremely rude,we arrived as large group of 18 which I understand is a lot of people but as the pub was empty we thought they would of been grateful of our custom. Staff made us feel like an inconvenience been there, management could do with some training in customer service.

The offer on the main sign outside (6oz steak dinner and dessert of strawberries and cream) was a disappointment. Steak was tough and stringy and the dessert was literally strawberries cut in half with cream over, no effort made on presentation (or sweetening do the cream as usually done) My son had the 8oz steak on its own and that was much better. My wife loved the pie and chips. Lovely atmosphere and top notch staff

Very nice little pub with very pleasant, friendl and helpful member(s) of staff. We had two beef burgers (think its called tower burger) and a lamb burger and some other food. All food was excellent but I can only comment on the burgers as I ordered the lamb one and my daughter the tower one. She was unable to even finish it how massive it was, very good meat, nice balanced and some vegetable at side. The lamb one was the same, very tasty and enjoyable. In conclusion very very pleasant experience and can only highly recommend. Thank.you

Food was lovely. We had the steak and strawberries offer. Watched the other orders go past which looked fantastic. Beautiful surroundings and ambiance. Lots of staff on duty so inside and outside customers catered for.

Booked a table here for Sunday dinner, we arrived 30 minutes earlier than was planned but the staff said they were happy for us to have a drink and can order food when our table was booked for. Whist sitting down awaiting our drinks the chef came through into the bar area and was very vocal in telling the serving staff that we were there too early and they should get rid of us, we were shocked at his behaviour but he then appeared behind the bar again looking over at us and swearing in the worst possible way, my partner felt extremely uncomfortable, so we explained to the staff what had happened and they were not shocked at all, probably not the first time it has happened. I payed for the drinks and found a place near by and ended up having a lovely meal.

Booked for 20 for a Christmas meal and it was perfect. We had a vegan, someone who was gluten free and another with dairy sensitivity and they met all our needs (apart from the mince pies). Service was friendly and efficient, food was tasty, plentiful, well cooked, seasoned perfectly, hot and the ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend!!

Called on a glorious Monday so we sat outside to enjoy the view and sun. First impression was that the interior was really neat and tidy, as was the spacious outside seating area. There was plenty of parking space. We had fish and chips. I'm usually disappointed when I'm served a frozen fish so I asked the question before ordering and it was fresh. Delicious - Tickety boo! Menu available to download from the website. Give them a visit, well worth it And dog friendly

Family of 5 seated on the round corner table. Food was amazing...particularly the roasts. The gravy was gorgeous 😍

Not been in since pre-Covid as have since moved from the area but recently stopped off for a quick drink. Surprised they're able to charge £5 for a pint of IPA which seems steep/more than a lot of Chester pubs and far more than other equally picturesque pubs in the area. Food was always decent quality/value (2018/19 when used to go there often) but given cost of a pint now feels like a tourist tax pub so won't be rushing back.

Booked a table over the phone for 6 people for 7.30 on a Friday over a week in advance, for a special occasion with family, today, at 5pm the day before the booking, get a phone call to say they stop serving food at 7pm! Really? No availability at other local places, really dropped us in it, decidedly unimpressed.

Just lost my review somehow but in essence a busy tourist pub. Food and staff very good though some of my Sunday lunch items had got a little cooler than I expect but they were busy to say the least and a long wait that they warned me about was only half that in the end.

It was where we needed a place to stay. Room was clean and nice, but up stairs, no a/c. Booking agency said another place nearby had a better breakfast, so did not reserve breakfast here... Did not reckon on departure day being Sunday. No other place open, and they did not allow us to add a breakfast! Not sure it is right called a B&B...

Came here to try the Sunday roast and was pleasantly surprised. Excellent service and tasty food. They had a large display showing all the local suppliers which was a bonus, really lovely local place to go. The dining seating area was a lovely spacious room and they hadn't crammed too many tables in which gave the room a good feel. We will definitely be back!

Salutations, tis a fine establishment ye have here. For the mighty price of £2.50 (or 86 smeckles) one would expect a bowl of steaming , quivering , juicy chips. Yet we were offered nothing but the sweet smells of disappointment. This is the highest of crimes. The family next to us had children with them which I found sickening as well. One of the horrible youths wouldn’t even offer me one of their chips for a toke. All hail Zorp

Great place to have a late lunch after a nice long hike at Loggerheads Park! Conveniently located across the road from the parking lot for the park - a lovely outside space with picnic tables and patio umbrellas- it was a little cool so we sat inside for our lunch/eats - very quaint/clean and there was lots and lots of space inside due to the timing we chose to eat

We'd been walking in Loggerheads country park and needed somewhere to eat for lunch. We Three Loggerheads was the perfect place as it is dog friendly, and as it was a sunny day we used one of the outdoor covered tables. (Dogs allowed inside as well) Steak and strawberries was excellent. Visited again a few days later, this time indoors, same great service, same great steak ! Location is perfect after some dog walking in the park. Lovely scenery.

Booked in for their Friday Steak & Strawberries Special. Service was very good, Steak was Rump, which we ordered Med Rare, my Husbands was spot on, mine was very chewy and more on the rare side. (Rump can be bit hit & miss) couldn't fault anything else!

Enjoyed the stay. Only one night. The room was a bit musty and the sheets needed changing so took a couple of stars off for that. The staff were nice. Food was ok. Word of advice if you're having the lasagna though. If you can't find it it's under the garlic bread.

The best vegetarian burger I've ever had! Good drinks and lovely outdoor area. They take real pride in all they're food, not a bad price for top class food. Highly recommended!

3 of us had the most amazing meal here tonight. Lovely staff, everything is home cooked and reasonable prices. One of our 3 is vegetarian and she was really pleased with her options. We were all so impressed we cancelled our works Christmas meal and booked it here instead. We will definitely be back lots more.

Excellent, loved it. Theres alway a nice pint on the pumps here, good food, and the added bonus of the fish and chip truck outside which does salt and Pepper chicken ball, and s+p chips aswell, makes for a lovely outside experience too.

Felt bad giving them a 1 star as it had been challenging enough in recent times. There's no excuses for poor food though. The one ok thing was home cooked chips, keeps cost down but actually tasted okay still room for improvement though. The steak and ale pie was simply poor as was the veggie burger, the guiness was below average overall a ruined our first nights meal.

We called in here for a drink and some food. It was about three thirty and we were told that they had stopped serving. Which was very disappointing. I think that some pubs aren't fully set up yet, Which is a bit sad really. We had a drink any way and the amount of people that were stopping for food only to be told they had stopped. The pub missed out on a lot of revenue. And

The staff was really friendly, the food was OK. My wife ordered a Vegi dish that was good, I ordered lasagne that had garlic bread as a side. The lasagne was good but the garlic bread tasted like it was a week's old bread. I just went there as we found it while driving. It was nice enough, but probably won't return.

Had a lovely stake and ale pie with new potatoes and veg. Ice cold Pepsi Just what the doctor ordered. Friends had a stack burger which looked delicious and a chilli con carne which also was reported to be yum. Cheers peeps

Decent pub food. Ideal for after a walk up Model Famau! A disappointing beer selection that was significantly down on previous visits, though.

4 of us had meals here yesterday and they were all very good and well worth the price. We had beef lasagna, the tower burger and 2 fish and chips (1 with chip shop style curry sauce which was excellent). The portions were generous so we didn't have space for desserts. We booked for 4pm and whilst there were a few people in it was fairly quite. The service was good from start to finish with no searching round to get someone's attention. We'll definitely be going again.

Had the steak and ale pie today , served in a ceramic dish that was piping hot, however the contents only luke-warm. Clearly a microwave warm up and not worth the £22 paid for two. Was asked by staff how the food was, so I told them, no offer of a discount or any apology. Lazy chef, lame food!

Amazing food, lovely staff reasonably priced and beautiful location! Been here twice this week and both times me and my partner have really enjoyed ourselves. Five bean chilli is 10/10!

😐 Bread is all gluten free, so it falls apart and it's all expensive. Coffee and sausage butty for one £9.70. brown gluten free bread is not very nice at all. Both brown and white fall apart. Very difficult to eat and end up with food all over your fingers. Fish finger butty is 90% batter, very little...

👍👍 From the moment we stepped in, we were made to feel very welcome. The Guinness was excellent and the food was the kind of comforting 'pub grub' we were after. With the great personable service, delicious food, great drink and open fire, it's the perfect village pub. We'll be back again for sure
