As a large extended family we had three pods and it worked out well. Boys all had their own toilet. Girls their own. Showers were lovely and the social distancing worked really well. While still having a very relaxing couple of days. Hot tub is a must 😉

I had such a nice time here. I've never been glamping before and wasn't sure what to expect but it was fantastic. I'd communicated with the owner during the week before and she got back to promptly to explain a few things I'd missed in the booking email. The cabin itself was really quite spacious, I've been led to believe they're slightly bigger and more equipped than other glamping pods out there. It had heating too which was much needed on the mornings. The facilities were all brilliant, nice warm showers, big sinks to wash up the dishes, picnic table to eat on. There's even a place to sit in besides the pods with comfy chairs and enough tour guides to give you endless possibilities. Honestly couldn't recommend this place enough and we'll definitely be booking again in the future.

We have recently come back from a lovely break at castle farm. We hired most of the pods and one of the cottages. It was perfect for our family group. Pods and facilities clean upon arrival and hosts were there if needed hut not intrusive. We used the field opposite to run our dog off the lead, which was a bonus for us. Would recommend and will be back.

The pods were very clean and included very good amenities ie fridge, kettle and toaster. There were even treats for our lil pooch. We used the air beds we had taken to make sleeping more comfortable. The shower and toilet block were kept very clean. The owners were very helpful and no problem was too much trouble. The people in the other pods were very friendly too. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to try glamping. Sitting out under the stars with fairy lights around the pod gave it a magical touch. Really enjoyed are stay and everyone we met in Shropshire and Wales were very friendly.

Brilliant glamping experience. The pods have everything you need and the owners were very helpful and friendly. The communal block was clean and modern and the site itself is in a peaceful location with lovely views. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic glamping pods in rural Shropshire. Very well looked after, friendly owners, fantastic toilet facilities. Covid secure. We spent 2 nights here and have thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful location, with plenty to do to entertain the children. I would recommend to anyone looking for a glamping getaway!

Wonderful site. Very well organised for Covid safety. Excellant facilities that wouldn't be out of place on a much larger site. Welcoming host. A relaxed place where we were left to our own devices. Cabins felt spacious, warm and well equipped!

Love this place. So quiet and peaceful. No traffic, down country lanes. Hot tub was amazing. Huge fenced field to excercise our two dogs. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again.

I hired the whole site for a surprise birthday party for my girlfriend. Cottages and the pods are absolutely stunning. So clean too. Helen was so friendly. We had an absolutely amazing time. My girlfriend was overwhelmed when I arrived and she saw the whole family and friends.... Next surprise came at dinner... Whilst out for an amazing Meze in Ellesmere I proposed. Was a perfect and magical weekend. Castle Farm Holidays will be seeing us return every year.

This place was not suitable at all. Firstly, I am not a pet owner so was not impressed with the dog/cat hairs everywhere, especially on the blue old fashioned bath mats. It's advertised as suitable for disabled but disabilities are vast and for a person with visual impairment the lighting was poor. The wet room floor was super slippy when wet. No slip mat was provided so we had to use towels. The layout of the property is strange. The two bathrooms are through the bedrooms. So needing the loo during the night meant disturbing someone who was sleeping. The upstairs bedroom is too small for the furniture it has. The stool for the dressing table cannot be pulled out because the end of the bed it there. The kitchen could do with updating. The microwave had some rust on it. And there was a material table cloth that couldn't be wiped clean. Perhaps the host should stay at other cottages to see what level they are and try to catch up.

We stayed here for Easter bank holiday,.x3 nights, last minuite thing, never done pods before, I was pleasantly suprised how nice they are so pretty, and cosy too, everything you need, so warm inside, lots of outside space, lovely little gestures, like doggy biscuits, tea and coffee, milk too... Beautiful views at night and sunrise, the lady owner, who popped by just to say hi and see of we settled in, was lovely and very helpful Will definitely go back xx

Place is a bit tired could do with a bit of a refresh. Hot tub is brilliant. Very private . Very quiet rural location. WiFi is very slow due to location but not too bad. Furniture is all old needs updating. Kitchen is very well equipped.

👍👍 A beautiful, quiet place to walk, picnic and let dogs roam. Previously a disused coal mining area, the locals have done a fantastic job in repurposing the space into something very pleasant and very practical. Because it is generally not so well known other than to locals and with the bike restric...
