This
a
lovely
peaceful
site.
The
family
owners
are
kind
and
helpful,
but
the
best
welcome
was
from
Winston
the
family
dog,
a
handsome
Black
Labrador.
The
site
is
well
maintained
and
in
the
process
of
being
updated.
The
fabulous
new
cabin
style
toilet
block
is
unfinished
(Sept
2020)
but
items
being
installed
are
of
high
quality.
Though
with
plans
to
expand
into
a
lower
field,
there
may
be
an
issue
with
only
two
toilets
and
two
showers,
however,
there
is
third
by
the
house
next
to
the
small
car
park.
Note:
once
you
have
unloaded
(a
first
for
us)
cars
are
NOT
allowed
to
remain
on
the
site.
There
are
approximately
6
hard
stands
and
7-8
grass
areas
for
tents,
(most)
with
hook
ups.
It
was
a
little
cramped
at
the
back
of
the
caravan,
though
on
the
two
different
occasions
around
the
weekends,
the
tents
erected
there
where
quite
large.
But,
most
of
the
time
we
were
there
with
4-6
others.
When
expanding
I
hope
the
owners
maintain
a
dog
walk
area
and
a
place
for
children
to
run
round.
We
had
some
lovely
walks,
but
to
get
to
them
was
via
the
busy
entrance
road
and/or
narrow
lanes.
The
only
issue
is
the
lack
of
safe
walking
route.
There
are
an
excellent
number
of
arrowed
foot
path
signs,
unfortunately
within
the
site
area
most
are
either
blocked
off
or
very
badly
over
grown
-
a
call
to
arms
to
the
UK
ramblers.
The
nearest
village
of
Horseman
Green,
boasts
a
post
box.
So
maybe
the
site
could
set
up
a
pre-order
shop
and
a
couple
of
route
plans
of
nice
walks.
The
pretty
villages
of
Arowry
and
Hammer
are
within
a
few
miles,
and
5
miles
to
Whitchurch
with
Ellesmere
town
a
short
drive.
its
a
15-20
minutes
drive
to
Wrexham,
30-40
to
Chester.
So
this
small
site,
whilst
having
a
lovely
rural
setting,
is
within
easy
reach
of
historical
towns
and
castles.
Highly
recommended,
we
will
be
back.
