By Golly it's Good ! Upon arrival, we were met by Mandy who was extremely welcoming. It is a beautifully appointed guest accommodation, with everything you could possibly need in the way of utilities. Reasonably priced, can't wait to rebook. The environs ensure a relaxing and utterly enjoyable stay. Thank you, just what we needed.

We stayed at Golly Farm at the Oak cottage, it was cosy, clean and met all our needs. The setting had a very tranquil atmosphere and wonderful views. The outside space was excellently presented with splendid floral displays well looked after by our host Mandy. On arrival we were given milk, a delicious orange drizzle cake and fresh eggs, Mandy was always delighted to provide us with fresh eggs every day, on request as they were a delicious addition to our breakfast. Mandy was very friendly, responsive and helpful but not intrusive. We would definitely recommend staying at Golly farm.

We have never experienced a rental property so comprehensively equipped and Mandy had furnished and decorated it beautifully. The bathroom has two basins, a large shower and a bath and the kitchen has everything you would need. Our flat was light and airy and wonderfully peaceful with a great outlook over a field . Golly is a great jumping off point for all sorts of treasures - Llangollen, Chester, National Trust properties and gardens, and Snowdonia is well within reach. We couldn't fault it. Go.

What a beautiful place to stay and an amazing host! Golly Farms is picturesque, exactly what you think the Welsh countryside would be. Mandy, had a welcome gift for us and a seperate welcome gift for my teenage daughters! The renovated buildings are stunning and the interior is quaint, cozy and adorable!

My return visit to the farm was as brilliant as ever. My son and the 3 granddaughters stopped as well. It worked perfectly for us with him and 2 girls in the studio, and my husband and I with the youngest in Holly. Mandy was brilliant, setting up a lovely comfortable cot for us and checked that we have everything we needed. As normal, everything was impeccably clean, the welcome basket was even better with the addition of freshly made bread. The grandchildren loved it and adored Dyllis the dog and also enjoyed collecting the eggs with Mandy from her chickens! The farm is well situated as a base,, so you can get to Chester in 30 minutes, Llandudno in 40 minutes We booked up for next year before we left!

Golly Farm Cottages are in a very peaceful rural location on the Welsh/English border. Well equipped and extremely clean. I used the Studio with other members of the family in Oak Cottage. It says everything when we are looking forward to our return next year. Big thank you to our excellent host Mandy.

Stayed in Holly Cottage for 4 weeks. This place has it all!! Well stocked kitchen has everything you could possibly need included and if eating out is your thing a great number of places to eat are very close. Holly Cottage is outstanding; we had such a comfortable stay the cottage is spacious and in a beautiful location. The field across the courtyard was a brilliant as it enabled our dogs to have a good run in a safe environment. Short drive to Chester and Wrexham, we found the location a brilliant base. Made to feel so incredibly welcome, we will definitely be back when we next visit.

Had a very lovely stay in the Studio at Golly Farm. It was extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The area is beautiful. Mandy was extremely helpful from start to finish. I can’t wait to stay again!

I stayed at Golly Farm in the Studio room whilst away on business for 3 weeks. I came across the space online and was not disappointed! Mandy, from the start was so lovely and welcoming and the studio was very clean and tidy. I was welcomed with fresh eggs and cake at the beginning of every week. Mandy was a wonderful host (and her lovely dog) and I would definitely recommend/stay here again.

Lovely cosy cottage and beautiful surroundings. Mandy really knows how to add those extra touches. The cake was delicious.

This year I have been working in North Wales and needed somewhere to stay. After quite a bit of research I came across the Golly Farm website. The accommodation is really comfortable and well equipped. During my time I’ve stayed in both Oak Cottage and The Studio. Don’t be put off by the label of The Studio. Yes, it is a studio as the bed is in the main room but the room itself is very spacious with a high ceiling. The main road to Chester is around 10 minutes drive and it’s a few minutes more to the A55, making the whole of North Wales visitable. So access is fantastic yet it’s such a tranquil location. Mandy, the owner, is delightful. She is attentive though never intrusive. I would love to stay again.

The first and lasting impressions of Golly Farm Cottages is that they are very well maintained and spotlessly clean. They are set in beautiful countryside and a very peaceful location yet within a few miles of Chester city centre. We stayed at Holly Cottage which was perfect for our needs. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. On arrival we were met by our host Mandy who showed us around the cottage and was always available if needed but maintained a very discreet distance as to not invade your privacy. There are several local pubs/restaurants nearby so great if like us you fancied eating out. If you wish for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings then you simply can't go wrong with Golly Farm Cottages, we will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Our return visit to Golly Farm was just as welcoming as our previous visits. We stayed in the newly refurbished Studio which is lovely and spacious, very comfortable, very clean and warm. Mandy's lemon drizzle cake a delight with or without a cup of coffee while sitting looking at the countryside. Just the perfect getaway. We will be heading there again soon.

We were booked to stay at Golly Farm Cottages over Christmas. Unfortunately we couldn't because of the Covid situation. Mandy could not have been more understanding and swiftly refunded the full amount. We will definitely be staying as soon as we are out of lockdown!

Golly Farm is a wonderful, peaceful retreat set in the beautiful countryside of the Welsh borders. The accommodation is beautifully maintained and super clean. If that wasn't enough to recommend it, there were freshly laid eggs from the farm and a delicious home-made cake made by Mandy. A very comfortable and restorative stay. I really wanted to keep this place a bit of a secret.

We stayed at Golly Farm in September, and loved our time there. Golly Farm is a wonderful peaceful place set in the lovely countryside of the Welsh Borders. Everything was spotlessly clean and Mandy was so helpful and friendly. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you need for a break away. The cottage was cosy and so homely and the little touches of the freshly laid eggs from the farm and delicious home-made cake made by Mandy were very much appreciated. Even our black lab Missy got little treats of dog biscuits & a bowl to use during her stay. We loved our time here, and we will most certainly be back. Thank you Linda, Garry & Missy

we absolutely love Golly Farm. accommodation is A1 and the owner Mandy is a fantastic host. we have booked up two more visits in the coming months and we can't wait.

We had a lovely stay at Golly Farm cottages. Every detail was covered from electric blankets to hot water bottles and a fan. We have stayed in a lot of different cottages and some are very trendy but not comfortable or with the same attention to detail. Mandy was very responsive and helpful but not intrusive. The location was peaceful but convenient for travelling around the area and beyond. We would definitely recommend.
