Lovely old coaching inn along the Glyn Ceiriog valley. Free house. 3 ales on with at least one from local stonehouse brewery. Well known for its food and also offers rooms. Lovely vibe in the pub with really nice bar and separate dining room which is also very nice. Nice sheltered outside beer garden. Very friendly woman who runs it too. Highly recommended 🍺 🦢

Nice old pub with lots of atmosphere. Standing room only yesterday it was full. Which was fine, we only popped in for one drink. Shows how nice it is if it's this popular!

My first visit to this cosy pub. A post walk pint. A roaring fire. A really nice pint of Butty Bach (Wye Valley Brewery). Hopefully I can visit again soon, try the food too.

Lovely vegan nut roast. Really nice pub and people behind the bar. Great to see some good vegan options on the board. Will have to come back to try the other vegan options. Diolch yn fawr!

Stopped for lunch. The food was delicious, packed with flavour and very friendly staff. Traditional pub and dog friendly. Good selection of beers too. Only gave 3 stars for the room as we didn't stay or see one but would be happy to stay here.

From the time I walked in the door. I was made welcome and was taken care of. Excellent range of ale's and lager's and any other drinks. Food is so fresh and tasty. I just can't fault this place

Lovely cosy country pub. Staff very welcoming and always a lovely friendly atmosphere in the pub. Have eaten there twice - sharing platter was a huge and perfect mix of cheeses pate, bread, olives, dips etc and a more recent lunchtime visit of panini's and a bowl of delicious proper chips. Cant comment on rooms as never seen them.

Perhaps the best Sunday lunch we have ever had. The roast beef was melt in the mouth, absolutely delicious, as was all the vegetables. First rate, can't recommend it enough.

We love this place. The lamb we had last time was beautiful. :) :) Our dog likes it here by the open fire 🔥 Definitely our holiday local.

Impossible to fault this pub and the owner. We were walking the Offa’s Dyke Path (2 miles from the pub). The owner collected us (by prior arrangement), made us extremely welcome and is an excellent chef. Top marks. Dinner was outstanding as was the breakfast, after which he drove us back to the foot path. Room was lovely, clean and very nicely decorated. The bar was lively with locals and tourists alike with a great selection of ales. 11 out of 10!

The Swan inn pub was an amazing experience, amazing menu with a great team. By far one of the best pub dinners we have ever had. I would recommend the Rich Chocolate and Sour Cherry dessert pot. Thank you Swan Inn Team.

While staying in Glyn Cairog, we popped in the Swan for a few drinks. Lovely atmosphere, great customers, made to feel welcome. The landlord and lady are great hosts, quality beer, and very clean pub. The outside garden is beautiful. They serve food will be back to try next time.

The room and breakfast for 2 was £100 and not worth even 60. Had to shuffle side on holding th wall as there was max of 8ins to get into the bed on either side. If a single bed was in the room instead of a double it may work. Turns out there was a bigger room available and it should have been shown to us. Very very disappointed would NOT STAY AGAIN AND DON'T RECCOMEND. Staff and locals very friendly. Worse room ever stayed in.

Amazing stay... Fi and husband were fab. Food delicious, her hubby is chef. Bar manager very lovely too. Room gorgeous with so many extras. The finer touches were so good and really appreciated. Food and breakfast all spot on. Certainly be back again. We explored Llangollen but will go elsewhere next time and use swan inn as a base. If you stay eat there.

Lovely little pub, with really nice food. Sat on the outdoor sofa and watched the rain pass through. Really nice location.

I call in for lunch with 11 other members of the Wirral Triumph Owners Motorcycle club as part of are Wednesday ride out. We were made to feel very welcome, by the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. The service was very fast and efficient, the food and drink excellent. I will definitely be calling back in the future.

We ate here whilst on holiday over the Easter weekend. It is a lovely traditional pub, with a roaring fire and well kept beer. The staff were very welcoming and our meal was absolutely delicious. Water was available for our dogs near to where we were seated. If we are in the area again, we will definitely return.

A gem of a place, found after looking for accommodation in Llangollen. The pub and beer was excellent as was the breakfasts - I had to ask for a smaller portion on my 3rd day! The room was small but comfortable and along with Fiona and Steve, the customers were very friendly. Definitely going back (although might not make the climb over the hill to Llangollen again!)

Very nice pub run by a lovely couple. Acceptable light lunch but other options quite pricey I thought. Good ambience but there were only two other people in there. Very good pint of Cambrian bitter. Give it all a try, I'd certainly go back.

Brillant accommodation , wonderful food , excellent location and great friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for us - in a relaxed calm environment. And packed lunches were the best of our two week Offas Dyke hike !

Stopped off today as in the area. Was really impressed. The room is unsophisticated and quaint with a real log fire burning bright and warm. Food was terrific. Went with pigeon, pheasant and mushroom pie. It was huge with loads of really well cooked meat. There was a plentiful supply of vegetables; carrots, sprouts, peas, carrots & turnip and roast potatoes. Very glad that we stopped in this little treasure. Well done to the owner, chef and excellent host.

Fantastic. When we visited, there was 1 gentleman who was working the bar and kitchen. He was brilliant. Food is the best we've had in a long time. Will be going back. Very friendly, great selection of beer and delicious homemade food with good options.

Had a fabulous Sunday roast dinner. Loads of beef on the plate and with roast potato's, cauliflower cheese and 4 vegetables. Also caters for coeliac... amazing 6 out of 5. Nothing is too much for the staff and very friendly. Will be going back and definitely will recommend

A great looking stone building and some say it dates back to the 13th century, not sure if it's listed! The inside is very warm and special. It's cosy, full of beams and the open fire lit, made my visit here extremely enjoyable.. Very welcoming, friendly staff and Sharon the bartender wss lovely. My pint of Butty Bach cask ale was superb and having this in a proper handle pint glass made it exceptional...well kept and perfect. The locals were friendly and engaging and good to see that The Swan Inn hasn't changed much or lost it's attractive, warm and friendly atmosphere. Well done to you all and highly recommend this lovely, local pub and restaurant!!
