Visited recently asked for advice on plants and fish for my small garden pond, was told that I should check the labels on plants as all the information was there and that I couldn't have a fish as they would grow too big. The lady however didn't ask how big my pond was? Clearly didn't have the time or felt she had better things to do.

Staff were too engrossed in their own little worlds to even greet people, and unapproachable. Fish tanks overcrowded, sick fish in need of treatment and quarantined and sadly there were quite a few deaths, admittedly there's a large variety of fish, but insanely expensive. Shop floor was blocked off in areas where stock was just left there, so couldn't take a full look at their Tanks. Safe to say won't be visiting again.

One of the best Maidenhead aquatics branches out there. There is a massive selection of both cold water, tropical and marine fish. Very knowledgeable staff (Brandon) a real joy to shop or just visit as a fish keeper

Brilliant bunch of guys, willing to help you in any way they can. Have been going to Maidenhead Aquatics for around 4 years. Many times just for advice and have NEVER been expected to purchase anything. Graham is there most of the time and has a minefield of aqua knowledge on t'fish. Currently I'm having a problem with weight loss, have lost about 6 fish 🐠 in the last week, so I'll be paying him a visit shortly 👌👌. Will post short video of my aquarium Jewel Vision 240 ltr. 🇬🇧

Staff are very knowledgeable and so helpful even when you want a particular fish from a tank full of almost identical fish, nothing is to much trouble. I would highly recommend them

First of all this shop is fantastic the staff are very friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable too.its more expensive here than other aquatic shops but the service is excellent I would highly recommend Maidenhead aquatics just wish they would change the name as not very local sounding shop name but i would reconsider Maidenhead aquatics.

Cannot fault them, been getting all my fish from here for a couple years now. staff are really helpful and always happy to chat! Carry the rarer species too which is great. It’s cheaper to go to smaller shop for your bread and butter stock but these fish are always good quality and worth the extra

I got my two axolotls amd fish tank from here two years ago, theyre still going strong and are very healthy. The staff are quite helpful with any questions

Went for the first time today and had a lovely experience. Great selection of healthy looking fish, all the tanks looked well maintained and there was a good range of dry goods too. Tall male member of staff was lovely and helpful, seemed really knowledgable and pleasant to talk to. Keep up the great work :)

Went to buy our first fish. So much to choose from and the staff are super knowledgeable. We were served by Brendon and he was brilliant. Won’t be going anywhere else when expanding our fish community!

The shop was very busy and understaffed they need more staff. I managed to get some of the guppies I wanted in the end the person who caught them ended up giving me one of the wrong ones. I bought 6 with the 6 for £24 deal. 3 males and 3 females they was put in seperate established tanks of the same gender, 2 of the males died within a week and one female has died in the last few hours and another female cant use one of its fins properly. All of my other guppies are perfectly fine and also the tank parameters but half of the ones I bought are now dead. They was meant to be my birthday present total waste of time and money.

Excellent service, and very helpful staff. We found exactly what we wanted (water plants) for our outdoor pond, and were given good advice re: pond stabilisation and potential fish to go in it. Would definitely recommend.

One person serving.?? Attended one customer who was just chatting. One man waiting for 20 before me getting very frustrated. 20 minutes later and the serving guy was still chatting to original customer. Me and another customer got no service whatsoever. Not a good experience. I left with my money in my pocket.

I've purchased a few things here, the staff are so helpful. I have called 2 times in 2 days for advice and they are so eager to help and are very polite :)

After many years of misinformation by a large franchise it was a delight to find this store. Always provide great advice, are not looking to make you purchase items you don't need. Very honest and have provided me with great advice which has been backed up by double checking with various forums. Prices comparable to online retailers in many cases.

Fantastic shop. Maidenhead has always been a little overpriced in comparison to my other local fish stores but it has more options. All staff are really helpful apart from one who would rather speak about what he has done well in his tank than help us. Hopefully this was just a one off.

A big thank you to the polite, knowledgeable and very patient James, who went above and beyond this week in helping me choose a goldfish and some floating pond plants. The new goldfish has settled well and a joy to watch with our existing larger goldfish, like two peas in a pod, they both appear happy and swim together often. Thank you again, your help and experience was much appreciated.

Very busy on a Sunday afternoon, good service as usual and we were able to get everything we wanted. Got some healthy and happy fish and plants.

Koi fish with sores around mouths and fish look generally unhealthy, staff appear to be uninterested and seem to have little knowledge.

Knowledgeable staff and very good quality animals. Will be coming here for all my aquarium needs. They even take fry off you if you have had live bearers fill your tank with fry! I'm not sure if you have to have bought the mother with them, but I wouldn't be surprised if he took anyone's fry in... The only thing that lets it down is that it's a maze to get in and out of (through the garden centre) but I'd never take a star off for that!

After walking round discovered they had a good choice of tropical fish and as I had a Betta fish in need of a separate tank in the kitchen, I decided to buy a small 30 litre tank for him there. Wish I hadn't bothered. The filter immediately fell off the attachment supplied, which they in fairness did offer to replace. But that would have meant a 150 mile round trip to buy something for a tank which is a total load of rubbish and it wasn't cheap. I will buy locally in future. Oh and the heater isn't supplied either.

11 dead fish 2 members of staff leaning on counter looking at there phones,still boxes of stock on the floor and not once was I spoken too Drove to another maidenhead to get the fish I wanted and they were a lot cheaper there.

Friendly, helpful service. I bought a UV pond filter and got a good quality product at a reasonable price.
