Good value handy stop off point on your journey, but a little in the middle of nowhere. Just Burger King next door. Will use it again. Found a good local place Betty Berkins (5 stars) for for breakfast just down the A55 five minutes away. Staff very helpful and Dog friendly. Watch out cat lives in reception.

Went there for the weekend as we cant fly due to the pandemic. Must say the place was very clean...I was hesitant initially because of the covid situation but like I mentioned, it really was spotless..service was really good with friendly staff

Really handy Travelodge with a friendly team. We stopped her overnight on route to Birkenhead port as it was way better priced than the ones near to the port, and it fit our needs perfectly. Comfortable beds and clean rooms, and they had pet friendly rooms too.

Partner and I stayed for a night at the end of a rather wet week camping nearby. Room was a decent size, with a small bath (at 5'2" it was perfect for me, if rather shallow), and the bed was comfortable. Ample spacious parking onsite and a Burger King attached (that doesn't open until 11am on a Saturday, for some reason...) The only issue I had was the state of the kettle in the room - I had to clean it out with an antibacterial wipe before using it!

Comfy bed. Clean room. Friendly staff. The only downside was how warm the room got. And how complex using the wifi you’ve paid for is. (However there was a fan provided which did help with the heat issue)

A great budget stopover or even good for a short stay in the region. Good size room, with on suite bathroom. Very clean with a comfy bed, large desk, kettle, tea, coffee etc. Private rooms only with no lounge or similar meeting/break out area. Room prices vary a lot depending on demand, so best to go to web site directly and check ahead. Very friendly staff. Useful 'Burger King' next door for quick eats and drinks - which closes at 21.00.

This place was amazing! Was staying overnight at wales and needed a cheap option for the night, though it was some distance away from Llandudno it was an amazing stay. Very clean and tidy rooms. Will be visiting again if I need too.

I stayed one night with my family on 6th May 2023. it is a small service hotel. Very reasonable price. I paid £3 for wifi. Convenient to visit any where in North Wales. It was clean, well maintained, friendly staff though. Highly recommended.

One of the best travelodges i have ever been . The manager Scoott, Ellie , and one more person on Sunday evening were so helpful and kind to us. Helping us whenever needed.

Bed linen in child's bed hadn't been changed as a pair of dirty pink children's socks had been left in the bedding and one pillow had a child's dirty shoe footprint on it. TV didn't work and plug socket was making a cracking noise.went to reception and were given an extension lead to use instead Staff member was very apologetic. Bed linen was changed whilst we were out but plug socket had not been repaired. Overall a very unsatisfactory visit. We have used Travelodge many times before and never experienced this before.

Nothing around but good scenic view. A short drive into the local towns takes about 10 mins. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

We have stayed at this travelodge a couple of times now, and both times have been a very pleasant visit for my wife and I. The rooms are very good, well kept and cleaned and the employees were always polite and helpful. We would definatly stay there again on our next visit to North Wales.

Located along A55 Friendly and welcoming staff Clean basic rooms with all amenities Comfy bed and good size bathroom Definitely need more charging plugs in the room especially the family room The only negative part is that Our room facing A55 so traffic noise is constant even with windows shut

Stayed here as a base for a short break in the area. For five nights as a bed for the night it’s spacious enough. The team are friendly and always smiling. The location is a bit odd, what could he described as an old service station on the main road, but the services have closed? There is a Burger King next door which opens after breakfast and closes at 8:30 pm. Food is impossible therefore here. As it’s on a dual carriage way it’s a fair drive to get anything so you need to plan ahead. The breakfast pack is poor value considering you can get all the items for four people at a supermarket for the price of one pack? The room was ok but damp. Not helped by the fact the window barely opens and the room never sees sunlight. The back of the tv has never been cleaned as evidenced by the dust, the mold in the bathroom has been painted over and the bedding felt damp. Typically four bodies of the family staying in travel lodges warms the room to requiring the fan. In fact the opposite was true here, we ended up putting the musical heater on to try and warm the room up! Coming home our toddler and I became ill and it was deducted by the hospital it was caused by the damp in the room. Four weeks of trying to get toddler to take antibiotics was not fun! Thankfully they offered a third refund although the fact they contested the damp and despite photos evidencing it, made it all the more frustrating. I have seen painted over damp before, hence why I knew to take a picture! Just accept it, and pay a contractor to remedy it. Overall if they sort out the damp, I would stay here as a base for a night, but lack of food is an issue.

Very good. Had to call reception to give us alternative directions as roadworks blocked off the entrance on 2 roads, she stayed on the phone for about 15 minutes until we finally got there.. What a star she is !! Can't fault anything.

Have stayed in various travelodges in North Wales lately due to relocating, so house hunting. This one is definitely my favourite, the staff were so polite and friendly, my room was absolutely immaculate, bed was so comfy and I slept really well. Great location easy access to both directions chester or north wales. I'd definitely stay here again.

Been staying at Halkyn and Northop Hall Travelodges on a regular basis due to my homeless situation past few months while awaiting permanent accommodation. I cannot fault the staff at both places they go above and beyond there job description it makes it a better place to stay. My only negative is the fluctuations of costs toward weekends but that's no reflection on the staff at all. Keep up the good work keep smiling😄would highly recommend 👍 A special mention to Ellie the supervisor at Halkyn who stayed at my side when I was taken ill in May 2021 until ambulance arrived a true angel.

Nice place, very close to the beaches, (about 15 min drive away) no floors above ours so no one stomping around above us, a little noise from A55 but bearable. Very very friendly receptionist, over night and morning, booked again for 3 weeks xx

Affordable price, friendly staff, clean room and extremely comfy bed!! Only negative thing I could say is that there were no cups (plastic glasses) in the bathroom and no toiletries, otherwise a very lovely stay, there were even two friendly on site cats. 😉

Good location for A55, reasonable price for overnight stay. Room clean and comfortable. Only problem was getting wheelchair in and out of the accessible room and building

  • 2/5 Dagmara S. 2 years ago on Google
I wouldn't come back there. service by the reception is very kind and friendly but I am not happy about housekeeping as they didn't want to change our bed sheets because we didn't stay longer than 2 days. Veeeeery bad air circulation that causing water drops govering on windows and after taking shower cousing to create a Swimming pool in a bathroom. Taking a bath? Forget it as It's size can work only for kids.

Lovely clean and tidy lodge , with friendly staff , the only downside is the lack of amenities, its burger king or nothing, there is nothing in sensible walking distance.

Very pleased with our stay here, great price, good location for what we needed it for, room was clean, bed was very comfortable. A fan was provided due to the warm weather which was great. The lady on the check in desk was very friendly, all in all a good experience.

Really nice and friendly staff. Rooms basic but clean and dry, what I would expect from a travelodge. Good location for Chester and North Wales. Liverpool an hour down the road. Good location for a stopover.

Stayed at Halkyn Travelodge whilst visiting some friends in the local area, absolutely ideal for what we needed. A bit out the way possibly, but just off the A55 so it's straight forward to get anywhere. Clean and basic, friendly reception staff. There is a Burger King next door - didn't have the breakfast here, but can recommend Betty Berkins cafe (as others have) about 5mins down the road. Five stars from us.

Location and staff great, helpful and friendly. Rooms in definite need of makeover but served purpose for one night. The Burger King food served next door was really tasty actually with very friendly staff.
