There is a lovely walk around Fernilee reservoir that is highly recommended, we parked up free of charge and walked along the reservoir track and came back up the woodland track, we were pleasantly surprised how dry it was considering how much rain had fallen in previous weeks, most of the walk is a stoned path, we loved it here and so did the dogs!! We drove out the opposite side to which we came in and stopped off at some lovely viewing points within 2 mins drive of the reservoir that over look all the moors, great day out!!

Amazing place for a walk, picnic or jogging! Free car park with very limited spaces.

I went on a beautiful walk around the waterside reservoir with my nan and the dogs. Next time I shall include the forest walk too.

We spent a week in the area and done some lovely walks around the lower reservoir and the upper. Great for dog walkers.

Went to Goyt Valley and followed the signpost through a magical pine forest. We walked around the whole reservoir which took just over an hour. Pine and oak trees, bluebells, streams and rocky beaches.. Took stunning photos, never knew this was here despite coming to Goyt Valley for a few years!

A lovely morning walk around round resovoir. Very relaxing

Done this walk several times and has been amazing every time. You can walk all the way round the reservoir with one way being a gravel path and the other through a loverly conifer woodland. Its also very good for riding bikes as well.

Great place to walk around with lovely views. There are plenty of places to park at either end of the reservoir. Good for off lead dog walking & there's a decent footpath all the way round.

What a gem! Lovely 3 miles walk around the reservoir mostly paths but not ideal for a buggy all the way around.
