I am a male, a Marriott Platinum member and I stayed in the hotel for 5 days, 28 Dec to 2 Jan,, room 1202. Prior to my arrival, I wrote to inform the hotel that the stay is for celebration of my wedding anniversary and they replied that they will provide some snacks amenities for the event. Upon my arrival and seeing that my partner is a male, the staff who checked us in looked at us with dismay. At that point in time, I thought it was my own sensitivity. After I got into the room, though my 'not disturb' button was on, I requested via the mobile app chat for the snack amenities to be served. There was no respond for 1 hour 30 mins and I made the request a second time. After a few minutes, a staff came knocking on my door. He did not look happy and handed me (with one hand) a packet of palm size cookies and walk off!. The next day, I then wrote to Marriott to raise my feedback that I am well aware of how 5-stars hotel show appreciation towards their guest for staying with them on special occasions. I highlighted that In this specific situation, it is not the snack that matters. However, despite Westin being a 5-stars hotel and I being a Marriott Platinum member, the packet of cookies reflects how the hotel view their platinum members, in particular, LGBTQ guest! The following day, I receive a call from the hotel expressing their apology and offer to provide the wine and amenities which I accepted. However, after the delivery, I noticed there was a letter which states the same apology and saying they could not deliver the amenities the night before due to my 'not disturb button' was on! I responded with a subsequent email asking why did they give the excuse that it was due to the 'not disturb button' when they have actually delivered a packet of palm size cookies? I highlighted that it was such an insincere apology with an excuse and they could take back all the amenities. After I completed the stay with the hotel, I received another email of apology. In all, their service and attitude has affected my stay and I must say it has not been pleasant one. I will not spend my money in a hotel that does not believe in human equality.

Very polite staff but in the end they screw you. I am a life time titanium member but maybe they didn't like that I'm staying with points. Upgrade was denied because they were unusually busy. Which is fine. Told me high floor rooms are getting renovated and gave me a low floor room. But I saw everyone going to high floor guest rooms in the elevator. Told me I can ask for take out service instead of visiting the lounge during happy hour. The take out was a joke. Bottle of red wine with little bit of food. Probably didn't want the lounge to be too crowded with points staying guests. And wifi was horrible. You can't have zoom calls for work. It keeps disconnecting. Not a good Marriott experience overall.

Room and bathroom looks outdated. Service is minimal and definitely not 5-star standard as luggage assistance is not consistently provided during the stay. We booked a package that included a bottle of whisky but it was not given until we asked for it. Staff seems confused and unfamiliar about the package as well as club lounge asked for a coupon to exchange for the whisky but front desk said it would be placed in our room. When whisky was delivered to our room, it did not come with tonic water as stated in the package - again we had to ask for it. Our duvet had a huge stain and was revealing in between the sheets and was directly in our faces as we pull up the duvet. I assumed that they ran out of duvet covers and used 2 sheets as replacement. We reported this to front desk and a kind gentlemen came to assist. However they ran out of king sized duvets and we had to make do with 2 single duvets. We were offered a change of room to a suite, and that made us wonder why we were not upgraded to a suite in the first place as part of the Elite benefits. Overall, poor value for money and insincere service.

This is a busy hotel in an amazing location for just about everything- seeing the sights, shopping, and near govt offices. Metro is about 3 min walk. Staff were wonderful, helpful and the concierge also deserves special attention for always giving me directions to different places. Seems safe and secure. That said, the rooms really need an upgrade. Bed was very uncomfortable because the bedsheets were old and scratchy, blankets were musty, the bathroom wasn’t clean when I arrived, and the walls are thin. Room was small. Also, the WiFi barely worked- for video calling it’s nearly impossible as I got thrown off my zoom calls several times. The dining options are extremely overpriced for what you get (think $60-70 for a buffet lunch). Overall I thought the service was good but there are many hotels in the area and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Would stay here again. Great lounge and reception. Great pool and fitness center. Great location. Restaurants got a bit busy and we had a hard time just grabbing a drink at the bar as a result. Best part of this hotel is it’s an easy bus ride from the airport to the front door. Staff was amazing. We also stayed at the Aloft right nearby on our last night. It was also excellent - fewer amenities but also less expensive.

The property has been in Seoul for quite some years. The rooms and amenities are indeed dated. The foyer, entrance and check in area is maintained very well despite the age. Surprisingly the hospitality level is quite good and even with a smile! Lots of bars and restaurants in house, oh the location is superb! Next to Lotte and loads of coffee places.

Yesterday, on Saturday evening, my daughter's wedding was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Westin Josun Seoul Hotel. The atmosphere was so nice, the food was very delicious, and the wedding hall filled with flowers was enchantingly beautiful. I liked it overall. And above all, I really liked the professional and friendly service of the hotel staff. I was so grateful that the hotel even took care of cakes and flowers when I came back. Hi there, We stayed at this classical, but sparkling hotel from Jan. 20th to 21th, 2023. We are totally satisfied with this stay at the Westin Josun Seoul hotel. Because of very close location from the hot spot, Meyeng-dong downtown, it usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes from the hotel to these hot spots by stroll. It is suitable to romantic couples or families seeking out a chill, vibrant, but easy-going vacation. In addition, the gym is one of the best places I have ever experienced. However, let me express my discomfort about Marriott Bonvoy sweet night award redemption. Nowadays, request for sweet night award redemption, which is permitted by the headquarter of Marriott, has been accepted very few time. Before M & A by Marriott, SPG commonly accepted this kind of request irrespective of request over weekends or holidays. Anyway, I could barely use my award: I have been a member of titanium/platinum elite and stayed no less than 50 times a year over 9 years. The hotel is located at a walking distance to a subway station, a shopping district and local eateries. You can also reach a library and tour attractions on foot from the hotel. The room was clean and impeccable. The bed was comfortable. They have a nice gym you can workout and a well appointed swimming pool with a steam room and two whirlpools. The issues I have with this hotel is its restaurants, I liked the previous lower floor Italian restaurant than the current one. The current restaurant on the lower floor is poor both in portion and presentation and quality of food is not so good. Even the fruit juice seemed to be watered down and the size got smaller. If you have a business account it won't matter but if paying it out of your pocket, I recommend eating at some place else.

This iconic location was the perfect home base in Seoul. It’s a great spot to get familiar breakfast items like oatmeal and pancakes. The Sunday brunch is really special too. Use their convenient ATM for safe cash access. The staff is absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to return.

I ate at the buffet Aria. Pretty nice experience and may go again. Food was excellent and the lines for food were not bad. They had a great variety, in which i helped myself too aplenty. Stayed here for 3 nights, I liked the location which was close to popular streets and easily accessible subway stations. The staffs were professional and especially great thanks to the lobby ambassadors, who continously assisted us throughout our stay, they are very attentive and caring towards good service. I find the hotel to match people who enjoys the heritage of the property as it can be little outdated to some. I had breakfast at the executive lounge but there were not too much options and the sofa chairs needed replacement. There were some waiting time but the staff kindly assisted us to our seat within 5 minutes. The staff speaks multiple languages and so would recommend for foriengers to stay as well! I enjoyed my stay and would return in the future!

Stayed here for 4 nights in Seoul. This is the "City Hall" - Financial District of Seoul. Everything about this hotel is 5 stars only with the slight exception that the room was only slightly lacking relative to an earlier stay at the Westin in Osaka. Impeccable service by front desk and concierge. Excellent service and food/wine/cocktail selection in the executive lounge on the 20th floor (definitely get a room with lounge access; you really don't need to go anywhere else for breakfast or dinner). Spa and Gym were to die for (it is open to the public as a public facility and the equipment and trainers there is appropriate). They provide gym shorts but you'll need a sweat top/sneakers. There are 3 massage chairs in the men's spa. The hotel provides bus service to Incheon airport for only 18,000 Won (more than half less than a cab), The Citibank ATM is English friendly at the hotel (I use the Cirrus network). Location is one of the best in the financial district within walking distance of 2 of their larger palaces, a beautiful Honook village, and more shops than you can possibly survive. All the big buildings are multi-story levels of top-level goods (Gucci, Versace, Louis Vuitton) on the upper levels and below street "underground" shopping centers for the cheaper stuff. Restaurants galore. Korean Beef restaurant just opposite the Seoul Plaza was a great find. Huge meal of Korean for only 40,000 Won. The reason for the 4-star room rating was that we didn't have a walk-in separate shower from the tub like we had in Osaka. Otherwise, this was an impeccable stay.

Wonderful and attentive staff, from the beginning when we arrived, the belldesk were quick to gather our luggages for us. We got our rooms, which were nice and comfortable, from the slippers to bathrobes and even complimentary water, everything was taken care of diligently. Props to housekeeping for keeping our rooms nice and clean without ever disrupting our stay. Never once did they interrupt or try to barge in while I was in the room. The sheets are typical of Westin, luxurious and soft, with a crisp and cool feeling the moment you sink your body within. This hotel is in an excellent location, close to Myeongdong and Namdaemun, as well as the green and blue metro lines. It is also relatively close to the palaces, and easy to get around. Very central Seoul, close to subway stations and also myeongdong. What really blew me away was their pool facility. I've never been to a more efficient pool ever in my life. Easy to navigate, lockers were right beside the pool. They had everything in the shower room, even skin care products and spare shirts and shorts so I didn't have to bring anything with me except my bathing suit. They have 2 hot tubs with different temperatures! You have to have a swim cap to enter the pool but they lend them to you for free.

We are returning guests after the pandemic and the main draw for Westin is its full spa facilities. 3 months prior to visiting, we made a long distance call to Westin Josun just to confirm that the spa facilities are currently operational and complimentary with stay. The staff reiterated that sauna access "is free, one day, one time". On arrival, we were told that spa facilities were payable for each visit and they were unable to honour the information fed to us over phone. As frequent travellers, it would not be uncommon for 5-star establishments to rectify such by honouring what was promised to patrons or with a complimentary upgrade as an extension of goodwill. The way in which the matter was handled is definitely ill-befitting of the Westin/Marriott tradition. In this case, we are disappointed in the less than stellar service of Westin and will choose not to return next time.

Be ready for lots of noise and inconvenience of arranging them as you toss and turn during your sleep. After a terrible sleep on first night, the housekeeping was able to attend to my preference of not having that layer altogether. Restaurants are very very pricey - us$55 for breakfast ans us$65 for happy hr. We dined in myoung dong instead. Overall, convenient business hotel.
