Dropped by this American diner on the last day on our trip. We wanted to try something different besides Korean food and we definitely made the right choice. We ordered the sets and everything was delicious and amazing. I especially loved the pancakes, paired with the maple syrup it was the best. Portions are huge by Asian standards, so you can definitely order to share. Totally recommend this place for a change.

Great American style breakfast and a reasonable price. Ample seating and service didn't take long. I loved it enough to go two days in a row haha!

Very good traditional USA breakfast. Small wait when we got there. Other than that, great experience and great food.

Very small and super packed . You will have to wait so I suggest you check into the little kiosk in the entrance for the waiting line . The food was pretty good, pretty basic , but homey. The French toast split between 2 ppl because it was that much food .

...nothing really special to write home about. 1pc bacon, 2 small pcs of sausage, scrambled egg and self-made hash brown swimming in oil. Pancakes, cheese toast & coffee were ok....tomato soup tasted instant. Took some time for the wait, could have been faster if we wer offered the "bar", due to their own concept of "reserving & we will talk to you once yur table is available". Customers wait downstairs. Not really customer friendly....

The Mac n' Cheese was a comforting delight, the Breakfast Jumbo Burrito was a hearty and flavorful creation, and the Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese was a perfect harmony of textures and tastes. The restaurant's dedication to delivering delicious American breakfast classics is evident in every bite. I highly recommend "Travel Maker" for a delightful morning or brunch outing.

Great place for a true American breakfast in Seoul. Eggs were so fluffy, hash browns were so crispy. The whole place smells like an IHOP, I live in Asia, so I hadn’t had a breakfast like that in a while and I was stoked to say the least. It was delicious. Mac and Cheese was also incredible! Hit the spot!

American breakfast all day as the concept. The homemade sausage is very good, but the eggs can be bit better.

Expected much better service. Burrito was still cold when it came out. Surprisingly not the first occasion when coming here. Only pro here is they open early. Rather visit somewhere else a little bit later though.

Super basic menu. No decent vegetarian options. I got a cheese toastie with tomato soup. The tomato soup tasted like tomato-flavoured dishwater. The cheese toastie was basic. Cheap cheese. Macaroni cheese plastic and tasteless and scalding hot in a tiny pot. Worse than your worst English breakfast cafe. If this is a "taste of America," then I don't want to go to America. Only positive is that it was fairly cheap. They also don't accept foreign cards.

American vibe with mostly foreigners. It's like you had a breakfast/brunch in the US. Food is basic but good. Coffee is refillable.

It's a good place to go when you just need an American breakfast/brunch. It's affordable but can't be a bit pricey. Don't get the orange juice!

We ordered: two eggs with hash brown + bacon as well as a “jumbo” breakfast burrito. no frills and simple items. The burrito was good but small and not filling. I think I was just happy to eat some tapatio and salsa. I was excited to see that you can actually ask for the kind of egg you want instead of just scrambled This review might be a bit biased bc we were super hungry. The lemon tea was kinda watery and the Jasmine tea was just normal. The diner is quite small but they do have bar seating for those who come alone! The price wasn’t too expensive and I left with a half filled stomach.

The food was delicious. There was a bit of a long wait time and if you do not have a Korean phone number you cannot log in for a wait time. You have to go upstairs and be written in on a wait time. But the service and food were good. There is plenty to do around the area while you wait to be called.

Simple american breakfast alll day. It's very quiet in the afternoon but quite busy in the mornings.

Great! Especially when you're missing a nice American breakfast. But be prepared to wait a bit!

Just about the only place in this area to have breakfast...and the only American breakfast we found at all. They open at 8 a.m. and the food is acceptable. There are limited options of food, the Cafe lattes are good, and the atmosphere is quiet. You must climb steep stairs to enter.

Great American food found in the middle of all the Korean dishes. If you need a piece of home(US) for breakfast this is the spot.

  • 5/5 Andrea S. 1 year ago on Google
I’ve realized Korea is not a breakfast place so this was a good experience for those missing a western American breakfast. I had the Obama breakfast set and added cheese on the eggs for extra. Definitely hits the spot if you are missing and craving a good American breakfast. Also recommend to anyone wanting to try the typical American breakfast. Portion sizes are good sized, sausage and hash browns were perfect. 👌🏻

Was excited when I saw this strawberry and banana french toast in the menu. Looks really good when it came…. But once I started, I saw that there were too much liquid. First time having such a wet frencb toast so I was disappointed. I tried to finish so as not to waste but really couldn’t.

Could be mistaken in thinking the Valdez ran aground here. The amount of residual oil warrants a multi national clean up effort. However, the bacon and eggs were cooked well and tasted good. This was let down by the pancakes that were doughy and overcooked. Unfortunately, they use mock cream and the berries don't offer any tartness to balance the dish, instead they're over sweet like they've been soaked in a syrup. Lastly, the coffee was great which deserves a 🌟.

The one place which actually serves breakfast. Thank you for that. And the food is excellent for sure. The hash brown is really awesome. Portion is quite big. Can give you enough energy to start your day in Seoul.

Recommend not to come here unless you are willing to wait at least 30mins. Not suitable for families or big groups. There is a steep flight of stairs to go up to the restaurant and my kid fell and cut his knee. Terrible queue management system. After entering the restaurant, we were told to go downstairs to register ourselves on waiting list and wait there. There was a big table available but the staff followed the waiting list blindly and gave the table to a couple instead of the next big group in line which was us. Left after waiting for 15min downstairs. Kids were getting restless and there was nothing to do around there. Plus even if there was a table available we won't be able to fit as they have given the big table to the couple. Disappointing experience.

Since we’ve started our Christmas vacation in Seoul, we have eaten at the Travel Maker every morning for breakfast. It’s good comfort food for those of you visiting from the USA. All others, it’s just good food. 😊

Cozy all day ABF spot on the 2nd floor. It can get pretty busy on weekends.

One of the cheaper places for Western-style breakfast in Seoul, and to get what you pay for. Don't expect any fresh fruit or inhouse specialties. It's very low-grade diner food. But if you just want some scrambled eggs and hash browns, it does the job.

Nice staff. Great menu. Good portions. If you are looking for American-styled breakfast, look no further. AND they open at 8am!

The food was mediocre and the presentation reflected that. The menu is expensive for what you get. I got the large burrito and it was disappointing. It was mostly scrambled eggs with a tiny amount of protein. We waited 20 minutes to get a table but the food came out pretty quickly. I wouldn't go back tho.

Was craving pancakes and this hit the spot! Actually tastes like Maccas hotcakes (minus the whipped butter)! Food was surprisingly on the cheap side. We paid 5000W ($5.5AUD) for the stack of pancakes and the breakfast burrito was 7500W ($8.5AUD). The burrito was a bit plain, although there’s salsa on the side. A really cute fit out, but the cafe itself it quite small and limited seating so I would come during off peak time.

There's a lot of delicious looking American breakfast items here... I love breakfast burritos, though, so that was my choice! I got the "jumbo" breakfast burrito, which contained eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. It was really great. It also wasn't super massive, so I didn't feel insanely full after. Great food, great service, and not crazy expensive. ☺️👍👍👍

So amazing!! Fair prices. Get the breakfast burrito!! 20,000₩ for two people. Will definitely return

Great food at an affordable price, I definitely recommend coming if you are in the Hongdae area!!!

  • 4/5 Ruth S. 2 years ago on Google
It was typical American breakfast food (or at least what I assume was typical since it's the kind of stuff that every single TV show set in the states seems to say), except for a few dessert waffle combinations apparently. That said the waffle I ate was really good, and if you're looking for your western styled breakfast food, Travel Maker is a good place to be.

Want a taste of America breakfast for a reasonable price? This is your diner. It has all the vibes and flavors. From pancakes/waffles/and French toast to grill cheese and tomato soup.

  • 3/5 Jos A. 4 months ago on Google • 10 reviews
In order to properly identify as an American style breakfast, your portions have to reflect it. 1 slice of bacon just ain't gonna cut my friends. Food was fine, just too little. Combination was also lacking things like fruits or beans and ham. Pancakes only and no crepes, take note.
