Cakes are always good. But this year cake portion is suspiciously small 🧐 though it costs 950 huf if you take away, 990 if you eat inside and +15% if you want it with the parliament view. Service was average Hungarian: tremendously unwelcoming attitude (“you should’ve asked me first before taking seats!”) and pretty all right after:

Good place to have a break! In front of the Parliament. If your buddy is tired you could leave him to have a coffee with smth sweet or her here and go to make some photos😄

I know its a lunch meal cake…but this is shameful. It is not correct. Its not even worth a penny. 🙂 The lunch itself is 3 or 4 star (depends) out of 5.

Great cakes and good coffee, but not the nicest atmosphere — a little chaotic and very busy. Still, a very good place overall.

Very rude service, the lady wouldn't move from her place to get my order correctly. There were 3 ladies serving two customers and they messed up our orders. It would've been worth it if the food was nice, but the panini sandwich was just ok, and the 3 cakes were subpar. From the sacher cake, ishler and salty caramel cake, the caramel one was the only enjoyable one, others were too greesy/fatty with artificial margarine taste.

Came here for lunch today with my wife. I enjoyed a black Han panini with a local wine. It was very good. They have both a full service area and self service in case you are looking for something more casual.

Steps away from the epic Parliament building, you have many breakfast/brunch light snacks including gorgeous desserts in a well-lit display. 2 floors.

Tasty 😋 treat, as slice of cake is usually a good direction go. I choose Eszterházy cake, and black English tea. Cake itself was very good, not to sweet, but I would go with different frosting. Tea always compliments good slice of cake. At least in my opinion. Overall it was very good stop during my day. Price wise, this place offer two prices for the same product, at least in case of sweets. If you order something to go, than it's cheaper, than if you would like to sit, and relax inside.

The heat outside is unbearable. I see that these people have milkshakes. We each order one (family of 5), and what do we get? Milkshakes that are not even cold! Why would we want a room-temperature milkshake? Awful!

It’s a nice small cafe in front of the Parliament, some of the tables inside have a view. It’s self service. Upstairs there is a bigger shop and chocolate museum. We had esterhazy cake and E80 Heleyben and both were good. Cappuccino was nothing special , classic lemonade too but raspberry lemonade is very tasty. We have been there in June.

Super convenient and located steps away from the parlamento building no and right off the tram stop. There’s two floors so there’s plenty of space. Food and drinks are reasonably priced with great quality options. The cafe has many options ranging from pastries to sandwiches, coffee and tea. Service was quick and friendly staff. It’s a great option to take a break before heading out for photos. They have large windows so it allows plenty of natural lighting in as well.

It’s a good coffee/cake place. Plus, it’s near the top attractions in budapest. So it will be a good choice to have some rest after a long walk ☺️

Love the cakes and those chocolate delights. Cafe gets crowded all the time which is a good sign.

Adequate food, excellent low price for the daily menu (2000 ft in July 2023 for soup+main course, add 300 ft for dessert).

I was there for coffee but I loved everything about the place. They have a beautiful section for chocolates, pastries etc. great place. If you are in Budapest you can try this place for coffee, cakes, chocolates and sandwiches

The cafe offers great cake and coffee, but it's important to note that there's an additional charge of 100 HUF for table service, even though there is no actual service, and you still have to pick up everything yourself. The service, regrettably, remains slow and unfriendly.

The cakes are so-so, lots of butter and the usual before regime change like pastries. Scones are much better, but the ultimate, sadly not always available yummies are these cube formed salty tea cakes and the coconut kisses (kókuszpuszedli).

We had 2 cakes, dobos and plum dumpling, and they were both actually very good. Not just typical cake good but actually very tasty. Both were also lighter than expected.

I came here couple times to have hot chocolate and cream on top is the best for me. Cappuccino and americano were very good coffee as well. The blackcurrant jam shortcake was tasty. The cashier who took the order had some kind of attitude, rather than that it was good.

Delicious cakes and coffee. Great location with the parliament view. Service is not great. You have to collect your food by yourself on different counters

We found it accidentally during our walk around the Hungarian Parliament. This place is absolutely perfect. Coffee, sandwiches, croissants were amazing. Service was quick and polite.

This place is one of my favourites in the city. It might be one of the oldest confectioneries in Budapest. It is located in the Kossuth square and has an excellent view of the parliament building, which is always an advantage. I usually get the daily specials here during lunchtime. The food is always good, but the portions are not that big. They are not expensive though. Not to mention that the confections are legendary.

Nice place just beside the parliament. Samos makes a lot of amazing desserts and they have a museum too. Worth a visit.

Good coffee at affordable prices. Chocolate cake was good but the maracuja was so so, with no swetness at all.

If you want to enjoy a cup of coffee… this is not the place. The servers (coffee section) acted like she was doing me a favor… very rud and unpleasant. We left…DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

Rude and not helpful older lady at the cashier . We tried to order some pastries and coffee etc. waited for a while… not a sign of service, we were standing for a longer time (where it states “ order here” ) she did not help us nor another couple to order so we left.

Great location near the Parliament building and only steps from the Danube. Tasty coffees and pastries are available and the Chocolate Museum is one flight upstairs.

Ice coffee with a great cakes for a very good price with a view to parliament. 5 stars!

  • 5/5 craze m. 6 years ago on Google
Near parlament. Cakes were really good as well the espresso coffee. There is a very very very little chocolate muzeum, 500huf entrance fee but not much chocolate there haha it was things they use for making chocolates.

They got great ice cream since the server it in a cold metal bowl making the ice cream not melt . Their vanilla ice cream taste heavenly

Fantastic view from a lovely coffee shop to the Hungarian Parlament. And the chocolate museum upstairs is recommended but not necessary

World class service and amazing choices. So far we tried 4 cakes and all of them were fantastic.Tasty, not too sweet ,perfectly balanced. The coffee is lovely too. Very polite staffs ,especially as costumer service can be quite disappointing in Hungary but this place ticks all the boxes. Million thanks again.

    Nice but expensive !

Most of the tables inside the store were dirty, with previous customers' leftovers. They are not cleaning the tables, just collecting the dishes. This is unacceptable, even before covid era. Mediocre cakes, good coffee
