Pathetic , unclean zero value for money place . The hotel states that it charges a low tariff for its central location. However a city like Budapest has excellent public transport. So it doesnt make sense to be paying such a tariff to live in a run down hotel like this one. You might as well choose a decent hotel away from the central location with much better facilities at the same price.c, unclean zero value for money place. There was hardly anything that we liked about this place. Its below par. It cant be categorized even as a budget accommodation as its below those as well. The hotel as such is in an old building. There is no carpet anywhere in the hotel or in the rooms, lobby or reception. There is no elevator. The cleanliness of the hotel is pathetic. There are cob webs all around the place. The windows and window sills are dusty and not cleaned since ages. The bathrooms dont have ventilation or any exhaust so after you take a shower or use the toilets the only way to get fresh air into the bathrooms is to open the window in the room and the door of the toilet. Some rooms have A/C while the one we got did not have one. We could spot many spiders in the hotel rooms and lobbies. The room service was negligible if not non existent. The only thing they did in room service was to provide toilet rolls. Even the towels were not changed during our 5 night stay. They dont even provide a bathroom mat to wipe your wet feet. They dont provide any shampoo. Soap is via the soap dispensers. There are no charging points anywhere in the room to charge your phones or devices. The only accessible one is in the bathroom !!!. You will have to push the TV cabinet around and unplug the TV to use a charging point in the room. I dont think they even vacuum the rooms and lobbies. They just mop up the visible dust with a brush. I doubt if the hotel even has a vacuum cleaner for its huge number of rooms. You can see dust and unclean corners. If you move the tables and chairs around then the edges and corners are dusty. The mattress was like just good enough. The pillows provided are just cotton stuffed bags. Even air pillows do a better job. In the bathrooms there are hardly any towel racks or any place to hang your clothes. As for the rooms well the twin room was really small and cramped. The double rooms were a bit larger. Nevertheless the rooms are really small. The breakfast was also basic - cornflakes, white bread, sausages, cheese slices, cold cuts, margarine. Oh yes you get fruit juice which is not fresh fruit juice but tastes like concentrated juice. There is a coffee machine for tea/coffee. The Wifi signal is poor in some rooms on the first floor. The staff at the reception are friendly and professional. I wonder what they think about the housekeeping facilities in the hotel.

Location is the only good thing about this hotel. Room floor and carpet was dirty, behind the bed was even worse, probably never cleaned. Cobweb everywhere. Big holes on bed linen. Toilet was leaking, showerhead was broken, water was pouring in every direction. More like a hostel than a "3" star hotel as they claim. The pictures on the website looks much nicer than reality. Not sure about the state of other rooms, I was on the top floor room. After all this I did not dare to eat breakfast . Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This was literally one of the worst hotels we've ever been in. There were bugs in the bed, an infernal sewage smell in the whole room, breakfast was a joke. Don't waste your money here even if it seems cheap.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel, but at a fair price and a good location makes for a decent hotel if you on a budget. The staff is nice and should be able to explain anything you questions about such as surrounding restaurants, etc. As for the room it is a bit dated, but that is the charm about Budapest and Hungary. The room is clean and everything worked perfectly.

The location is very convenient to metro station and 2 stops away from Hero's Square. It has no air-condition but the fresh air is refreshing. Quiet place, excellent-friendly English staff and it has a homely feel. The beds look simple but it's truly comfortable. Nice hot shower. I give it a 4 stars with regards to the price I pay.

So don’t stay here if you’re the type that expects diamonds for your dust. At about $60 a night which includes breakfast, you’re not getting much. Beds are basic- small rooms with a standing shower. Walls and doors are pretty easy to hear through. Breakfast is also fairly simple- some cold cuts and cheese, scrambled eggs and Hot Dogs (I guess in Hungary that’s considered sausage?). But about 500 feet from the nearest metro, and very close to sights and many restaurants, this place is perfect for those who only use the hotel for sleeping and a shower. Want to live in your hotel on your visit to Budapest? Don’t stay here- but if you plan on being out taking in the city- this hotel is just right.

The staff is very very friendly and kind. They take special care of traveling guests and make them feel at home. The breakfast buffet is also very very tasty, tho no vegan options are available. The place is clean and small. The rooms were not to our liking, but everything else was top.

The customer service was good but the hotel is in serious need of repair. There are noise issues, plumbing issues, air conditioning issues. Avoid it if you can.

Good location, okay food but nothing special. The rooms are fine and clean, but the walls are very thin. Very nice and helpful personnel, speaks English. Would probably revisit.

I wouldn't call it 3 star hotel... No elevator, the rooms are so minimalistic it's a hostel. All you get in the room is towels and soap. Not even a shampoo or face towel. The room is clean and the breakfast is nice. But it costs way more than you would expect.

Good hotel, very central and good price. The hotel is old and the room are a bit poor. Very good for 1-2 night but you don't have what to comment, the price is low and you have breakfast including in price! The breakfast is a bit poor but was ok.

Only stay here if you’re truly on a budget and don’t have many options. Firstly, if you’re traveling internationally and won’t have internet, plan to have directions before hand. I remember we got lost and had to ask someone for directions. Second, the breakfast is not good and the rooms are pretty bare. Bring your own pillow. Also, I firmly believe this place is haunted. I had terrifying nightmares while staying here. Positives of the place is that it’s cheap and close to the metro. Easy to get around to see the sights!

Comfortable matrasses, newly renovated bathroom, and everything's clean. Very good location: 1 minute from metro line 1, 5-8 minutes from Oktogon Square and 8-10 minutes from Heroes' Square. Reasonably good breakfast, friendly staff.
