The
Avenue
is
absolutely
everything
that
a
hostel
should
be.
Entry
is
via
intercom
or
key
card
to
a
spiral
staircase
or
vintage
lift
for
those
uncomfortable
with
heights.
The
staff
are
friendly,
helpful,
and
enthusiastic.
The
day
begins
with
a
wide
ranging
buffet
breakfast,
and
plentiful
fruit
juice
and
coffee.
In
the
evening,
spend
the
equivalent
of
3
euros
at
the
bar
and
get
a
free
dinner.
In
between,
after
the
kitchen
is
cleaned,
guests
have
full
access
to
the
open
kitchen.
The
dorm
I
stayed
in
shared
its
own
small
kitchen
area
and
restrooms
with
another
dorm.
Each
bed
in
the
dorm
had
its
own
privacy
curtain,
light,
power
supply,
and
lockable
box.
The
community
area
around
the
reception
did
get
busy
and
loud,
but
that
was
due
to
its
popularity.
The
immediate
area
outside
the
hostel
has
grocery
shops
and
every
typical
fast
food
and
coffee
place
for
those
who
can
or
don't
want
to
cook.
The
only
downside
is
the
distance
to
the
main
train
station,
and
a
fair
walk
for
those
wanting
to
explore
historic
sites
and
parks.
Overall,
the
helpfulness
and
quality
of
the
hostel
staff
made
this
was
one
of
the
best
out
of
a
dozen
hostels
I've
stayed
at
early
in
the
year.
Most
definitely
highly
recommended.
