I was shocked and saddened by all this single-use disposable plastic on Ikea products packaging. Single-use plastic wrappings, plastic covers, plastic protections, plastic adhesive tape on the boxes, plastic labels, countless shameful single-use plastic everywhere... It’s sad to see how a rich company like Ikea choses to continue maximising profits and minimizing its own costs by shifting the pressure on society and future generations instead of reusing its own packaging. This is not the ethical attitude we want to see from businesses.

I really like ikea. You can find anything here with lower price rather than other brands. You can furnished your home with brand new items. You just walk through a specific line and you can see everything. It has showroom with lovely design and market hall with various kind of items. Also it has a part for food with very low price for example you can buy a coffe with 295 huf! That's awesome :)

Unfortunately we bought kitchen at IKEA. First, customer service at every step was ridiculous, after asking the price of marble, lady just replied it's too expensive. But we survived, ordered the kitchen, paid for your colleague to come measure the space. When we wanted to get the money back from what we pay for measuring, your colleague told us we didn't pay and are lying. Great! Now, our cooking top is not straight, it's 5.5 cm from the edge on left side and 6.5 cm on right side. Is that normal? It's easily visible and annoying. All in all, I wouldn't recommend IKEA.

We purchased around 500 euros worth of general stuff. At the checkout one item (which we really needed) turned out to be “for display purposes only”. This bad news was told to me as though it was my fault when all I did was take the item from the stack available for sale. She told me to go and get another. I asked her if someone could help and get one for me as I’d rather do almost anything rather than hike round a giant store at the late end of a Friday night. She looked at me as though I’d insulted her first born child. The rudeness, arms folded body language and general f-u attitude made was quite something. One lady came over to try and smooth things over but ultimately the ikea customer service told me to get it myself or don’t bother. My advice would be try to avoid ikea as much as possible.

Delivery was supposed to be on a Thursday didn't happen, phoned and was rescheduled for Friday. Same thing with Friday was rescheduled to Saturday and after l called 3 times was assured they would deliver by 6pm. Today is Sunday decided to just enjoy my day. Monday l start calling again to be given the next Delivery date that probably won't materialise.....the worst part is no one calls to update you, you have to beg for a service you paid for.

Love ikea in general, but the classic meatball meal seems not as good as in Vienna or Toronto, especially the lingon berry sauce is not as tarte and contains fewer berries 🤔 also many items in the display were missing from stock. In good news, our ikea gift card from Austria was accepted despite the balance being in euros 🎉

At this point I'm convinced that the delivery drivers are phoning me at times (3 and a half hours before the scheduled delivery time) when they know I won't answer so they don't have to deliver. We have now had four failed deliveries. We were at home able to accept the delivery during each of the four slots we booked. Found out on Friday that one of the items hasn't even been in stock all this time! Customer Services promised a call back yesterday, nothing happened. Now when I call customer services I get a message saying the number is no longer in use. I'll be making a formal complaint but the whole process has been so much more hassle than it's been worth.

Nice place to get every household items in one place. Easy to visit there via metro line M2 or by tram which is just next to IKEA. You can anything there from a table watch to a full sized master bed for your bedroom. Electronics section is the one which attracts you more as the items there were so beautiful and classic.

It has been 48 hours trying to reach ANYONE from IKEA Hungary as I need help with an issue about my oven. I honestly don't understand how a big international name like IKEA is licensing such incompetence in Hungary. I called on the phone and the wait time was supposedly 10 minutes... I waited for FIFTY minutes and still nobody answered. When I resorted back to the website and started the chat support, I realized that I was talk to a bot who couldn't help me (because he doesn't speak English). The next channel was Email. I couldn't find any email address to send to, so I had to fill in a form on the website. The form is not translateable from Hungarian language (via Google Translate) and it was asking for MANDATORY codes and numbers that I simply don't have or don't understand. Next I sent messages on Instagram and Facebook. 24 hours later, IKEA Hungary Instagram said that they can't help me contact any technical person and forwarded me back to the broken website form. IKEA Facebook, well.. Facebook automatically directed me to IKEA in my home country because Facebook does that. I don't know what to say.. Coffee and soft drinks are refillable and tasty. Their hot-dogs are quite good and cheap. Also, we had the chance to try the famous Swedish IKEA Meatballs. Tastes healthy, the sauce is more like neutral and not spicy or overwhelming. If you come here for food, it's a must. I love their affordable furniture as well but this time I came for the food and they did not disappoint me.

Now, well. I do not really like the concept of building a labyrinth and calling it a store. On the other hand there are quite a lot of useful and not that ugly things that you can find there if you have enough patience. The restaurant is a definite plus.
