Heroes' Gate

Tourist attraction Monument Attraction

👍👍 Beautiful work of art. I read afterwards what it was about (memorial for the Szeged's soldiers who died in world war I). From a visitor point of view, the frescos are impressive, and it was the way I entered the city centre. You'll just have to wait the traffic to pass by to get a good shot.

From the hall above the Heroes' Gate, the view of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Arad Martyrs' Square is very beautiful.

Very strong architectural memento of the wars suffered by people. Respect to the heroes. The square around is really nice, even in winter time.😊⛩👽🙏🏼

Beautiful gate to visit leading into the historical part of the city. It has paintings underneath which depict various parts of history. Definitely worth a visit.
