The bar service was awful. Many of the items listed in the menu are not available and one of the bartenders (fat , blondish) was very rude when we asked for an unavailable drink and he gave us options while swearing in Hungarian against my girlfriend. We have been living in the area for years and maybe he thought we didn't understand. Places like this ruin the district and should close to leave place to proper places!

I celebrated my birthday here, spent a lot of money and everything was fine until we had to leave, the guy working there (fat, dark haired, short) was very rude (we were spending a few extra minutes to work out who was the owner of some belongings left behind) and after some discussion got very irate and started a fight. Very unprofessional, we will never go back and I recommend that you spend your money elsewhere.

Long story short, rubbish bar that can't even make cocktails on there menu. Full story below. Went here for a few drinks at a moderately busy time. Waiting at the bar to order and when finally making it to the front. I ordered a classic cocktail which was on there cocktail menu, once ordered the bartender said he didn't know how to make it and to ask his colleague, again waiting in the line again to order I just kept getting skipped. I was probably there for an hour without even being able to order a drink, so we just left.

This is a party hostel as the name says. It is cheap, it is in the heart of the city. But it is definitely not the cleanest and most well equipped hostel. It is a very informal place. Think of it lake friends hosting you in their dorm room. This place has the most friendly staff you will ever find. They are fun very helpful. But one warning if you are looking for a place to sleep peacefully at 10pm this in not a place I would recommend. But if you are looking to make friends go crazy in Budapest party till 4am this is the best place.

I am 18 and as a solo traveler on my first trip outside of the country I was nervous, this hostel is one of the best I stayed at. If you are young and want to get drunk, party and meet others doing the same thing then this is the best place on earth for you. the staff were friendly, it had a great atmosphere, there is a bar open until 1 am. I will definitely be coming back here on future travels. That being said I truly believe that if you are in your later years and are looking for a relaxing place to read a nice book then go to bed early this isn't your place.

Customer service is one of the worst I experienced in Budapest. 30 minutes to get 2 burgers in an empty joint (grand total of 2 peeps: my friend and I); couldn't get a drink cuz' the bartender didn't want to open the bar until 1pm and didn't seem to care at all (we showed up at 12:30pm). When the bar eventually opened, they were out of the one draft beer we ordered, so we settled the bill and headed off after having eaten without drinks. The place also looked like a dirty commie headquarter with graffitied walls, old shoes hanging right over the outdoor plastic tables, random scavenged items and tacky slogans for immature, disoriented blue-haired, collectivist hippies. To each their own.

Full of annoying Australians who think they own the place

If you want to have a nice time in an original place at Budapest you just go there. You'll enjoy it for sure!

My experiences with this place are quite good. If you like a relaxed atmosphere and can party almost 24/7, then this is for you. Affordable accommodation and the staff is nice.

The bar was one of my favorites in the past few years, I have many nice memories here. Unfortunately, last night we had a different experience. We came here to celebrate with a bigger group (35 people) service was extremely rude and disrespectful continuously, it was a huge disappointment.

Amazing location and wonderful decorations! Loved having drinks with my friends there, so relaxing!

Had a great stay at this hostel, even though it was only for a single night. The staff were friendly at greeting us, sitting us down and walking through the whole check in process - and then gave us a concoction of alcohol - tasted good though. We were in a 4 person dorm, beds were decent nothing amazing and for the age of the building the utilities were okay - not amazing but pretty good. There is a kitchen upstairs if you need to cook. The best part about this hostel was definitely the courtyard area - very unique to this building with a bar and a great atmosphere. Definitely a place to stay in Budapest if you are looking to party anytime, anywhere.

Great atmosphere. The best place to meet new people.

It's open at noon on Sunday. From outside it looks a bit scary. Inside there's polite service, although it's self servie. Its a beer garden mittens in downtown. It's ideal for young people.

We went there for a nice cold lemonade in the afternoon. The service was absolutely lovely and the place (inner courtyard) is also a typical budapest ruin bar setting which makes it a coll place to sip a drink at and have a chat. I can imagine the atmosphere getting more partylike in the evening. Ps: the strawberry handmade lemonade as recommended by the bartender is a must try.

One of the best youth hostels in town. You get a nice accommodation for a cheap price. But what's best about this hostel is they schedule fun events like parties and pub crawls everyday where you can drink and meet a lot of new people. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to someone ready to have fun and party.

Had the best week staying at the Grandio Party Hostel. Staff were super friendly and helpful when asked questions about Budapest. Food quality and drinks are also excellent value and very tasty - definitely try the steak sandwich! Best place to stay if you are in a big group and want to go out most nights. It had a great vibe and provided everything you need for your stay. Definitely recommend.

Prices, atmosphere, staff, everything is lovely. Good for chilling in the daytime. You need to pay 400 huf for plastic cups.

Better order before the pub crawl shows up...
