The guy at the door said we can't as we didn't have the minimum consumption. He threatened to call the police. I laughed and said go ahead and we left. Then the surprise came that the bartender who was ignoring us was running after us and shouting and was really aggressive. wanted us to pay. I was like no way, leave me alone. He was drunk and really aggressive. Then he slapped me on the face that my glasses fall off my face. Aggression is not tolerable by any reason..shame on this place.

I give this a negative 5 stars. I was there this past weekend and I witnessed the owner and front door guy, physically grab an American tourist for no reason. They were pretty rough with him too. From what I saw, all he was trying to do was get his friends attention through the window of the front door so they could pay and leave. After reading many negative reviews I was a bit hesitant visiting Coxx. The staff were very friendly and music was good with a nice crowd. This is a men only gay bar. So the lady who made a negative review and complained that they wouldn't let her in, that is the reason. I think some of the negative reviews are from people who do not understand the entrance policy and how paying for drinks works. You get a ticket upon entering which is a receipt for your coat check. The cost of drinks when ordered at the bar are added to the ticket. So you don't actually pay for your drinks when you are ordering them. At the end of the evening when you want to leave , you hand your ticket into the bar and they add up the total cost of all your drinks. You then pay for your drinks and then go upstairs to collect your coat when you leave. It is vital you do not lose the ticket! This is because it is the only record of the drinks that you have had and hence if you lose the ticket then you have to pay a penalty of about €35. That only seems fair since the bar would lose out as there is no record of the drinks you had. Yes it's quite an unusual drinks policy but once you understand the concept it is not difficult. Would I recommend this place. Yes. Will come back again.

Conventionally this place falls short of cruising bars across the board - strange lighting in the main bar, I didn't like the music and it was played on a weak sound system. There were some hostile cliques of locals, others were more friendly. It is worth going purely to observe the staff - a fascinating bunch! 🌈 Overall I found the place slightly unnerving, one person fell off their bar stool and another two men were fast asleep 🤣but I'm glad places like this exist.

Had a really good evening in Coxx bar. Unfortunately upon leaving the BITTER OLD QUEEN on the door decided to accost me for not showing a card. When i paid my bill the bar staff charged me like about 100/200ft more, but if you think about that in £ is not even £1, so if you go with an open mind and know that it’s all fine and not dodgy at all! Give it a try and see it yourself just as I did. It’s definitely worth 2.8 on google. I’d say 4.

I got in had the paper from the doorman told me I have to spend minimum 1000 huh and voala. I spent more than 1000 huh I left without any problems.
