Nice atmosphere, but I can’t give a high rating to a place where the waitress gaslights you to your face, saying that she served us an organic wine when the bottle states otherwise, we ordered nachos too, it was too plain with almost no taste in it. The staff were around us all the time but it was hard to get their attention when they are standing in a group talking to each other instead of being just a little attentive. So it’s definitely more of a tourist trap.

Wonderful ambient and music for chill time. No significant special food or drink. The good about this place is good location, big space and touristic area.

Had such a wonderful stay in Budapest, this restaurant was definitely a highlight. We had come here twice, as it was so good. The service from Mario was spot on, considering it was extremely busy. So glad we came here for our last meal.

I love this place! We went there for lunch, and it was so good that we came back the next day again! The staff is very polite and professional, the food is just so amazing that I had no words... I can highly recommend bruschetta with steak, burger, pork ribs, chicken tacos and chicken wings. 🥰 Pity that we are leaving soon, because there is definitely a lot more that I would like to try. Restaurant has comfy design&atmosphere, you can find a secret bar in the basement. Price is very reasonable, you will get great service. Comparing other visited pubs/restaurants, this is 100% the best!

Came here for our holidays last night for dinner, the food was delicious and will definitely visit again in the future! Boti was our waiter and he went above and beyond, with fast service and a friendly smile, especially when a thunderstorm took us by surprise! Definitely recommended.

Nice looking place , but in a tourist area, so quite expensive. I had a burger , which was fine, nothing to write home about. My wife had the Hungarian sausage, again pleasant but not amazing. As I said very pricey, but its a tourist trap, so we only went there to get away from the rain. Staff very nice. The main reason for the low mark was the bill, this came with a service charge on it and the member of staff serving us requested a tip. When I told her there was already a service charge, she explained that the staff didn't get it. So I paid an extra 10% not wishing to cause a scene. On checking the internet it seems I was conned, most places that charge for service don't expect a tip added. So Donna, as you requested to be mentioned, thank you very much, you got me!

The meal was grest and Konrad, the waiter, was really kind with us! The environment and the music were really nice as well. I recommand this place to everyone! Also, there are differents options for vegetarians ;)

The worst experience in Budapest, the service take 30 minutes to get the drink, when you contact the manager he will tell you everything is ordered even we had to wait another 30 minutes to receive a drink. The manager said they have their own system and we need to wait. If you can please do not stop here. The manager is the root cause of everything I think

We got the best service possible from waiter Daniella, she helped us very good by recommending the best food and drinks. She also served us with a nice smile, and gave us a very fun day. We probably come back next year. Greetings from the Dutch guys at table number 11.

Great nachos, excellent cocktails and beers, and the most important- AMAZING service by the amazing waiter called Soli. Nachos were great - a good size for 2 people to share, with a lot of good flavors (jalapeño, sour cream, tomatoes, guacamole, cheese). We ordered the Bounty cocktail that was very good, and also ordered 4 shots of green tea cocktail that were excellent. Sami was the best waiter we had in all Budapest. He was cute, funny and very very helping with his knowledge about the drinks. I really recommend this place for a nice evening with a snack and some drinks.

I have been going to Spiler for 5 year. Over time I have had really good experiences and some not as great, thats why 4 stars. I went back this past week, and my friend & I were happy. Location and vibe are great. Food is simple and good, I recommend the nachos & tacos. The lemonade is large, refreshing. Service is good.

Loved the atmosphere here with outside in the court lighting dining. Location is great too. We ordered Goulash and I must say it was not impressive. It was good enough. Taste was lacking. Service was good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and was served by Mario. I must say, his service was absolutely fantastic! Mario was incredibly skilled, kind, and friendly, truly making my visit memorable. He displayed an impressive attentiveness to my needs as a guest, making me feel well taken care of throughout the meal. Beyond the excellent service, I was also impressed by the restaurant's elegant ambiance. A truly delightful experience!

Very lively place! Actually, our favourite bar in Budapest. We always come here for dinner when we visit the city. The portions are not so big, but enough to feel fed. I must say, though, everything I've tasted is very well prepared. I'm vegetarian and I often order shakshuka. My boyfriend says that the goulash stew is one of the best he had tried. Burgers are also good and prepared with homemade buns. It could take longer sometimes for the food to be served since the place could get very busy. Kind and helpful staff. Thumbs up 👍

Had the veggie burger and a beer on tap, the beer was good, the burger , was alright. Nothing so wow about it cause I have eaten better veggie burgers than this one. But it wasn’t bad at all. It was all in all nice place , chilled vibes. I am sure the other dishes would have been even better.

Nice, lively place. They offer good food (even some veggie options are available) and a wide selection of beers. The service prompt and friendly. Mario is very nice, friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere is pretty chill. :)

We had a fantastic meal here tonight. The food was delicious (especially the Goulash) but the service was amazing. Dana served us and she couldn't have been more helpful. Explained everything perfectly and checked in on us. Highly recommend!

Overall had a great meal here. Was a bit disappointed by the Caesar, paid for chicken and there was barely any added. The burger and sweet potato fries were both really great though.

If you go for lunch they may not have ready traditional food other than the roasted sausage (which was a small portion overall). But overall a good place to eat. Be careful to the step that connects different rooms.

Very good design, atmosphere and the area is really bubbling in the evening. So, very good vibes down there! The food was Ok, nothing to write home about and the kitchen got busy so it took about 1 hour to get our food (but the waiters were very helpful and informed us upfront about the load, so we were OK with that). The waiting and Maître d'hôtel we’re very helpful, nice and professional. Anyway, that is the main reason I took away 1 star from my ranking. Hungarian draught beer is very light and very filtered. To be honest I am not sure why they even call it ‘beer’.

So perfect atmosphere especially at night. The light are beautiful. Waiters are the most precise I ever met. Food perfect, prices too.

It's a cool place, buzzing with life! An original, stylish restaurant/pub in the heart of Budapest. The waiters are friendly, smiling. Our waiter was David or Carter. We waited a bit long for the drinks and food because of the rush, but we were informed in advance and David did his best. Despite the this little waiting, we really enjoyed our time here.

We had a great time, the first stop on our Budapest adventure. The food was fine, ordering the Chicken stew and Goulash soup. I feel there are much better places. The choices of beers and ciders are great! More importantly we were drawn to the lovely location and outdoor seating to soak in the Spring-Summer sun. Though I must comment, they have the darkest bathroom I have ever experienced. Was it the lights weren't turned on, but I couldn't see a thing when I was down there. Overall the service makes up for it immensely, big shout out to the lovely lady with Blue Hair. You made our experience so enjoyable!

Everything was good except awaiting time to be seated. There was couple of people inside and we had to wait about 10 minutes on the entrance. The food was really good, being first time in Hungary of course I had to try traditional Hungarian goulash and it was excellent. Other meals were good as well 🤤🤤 I can really recommend this place.

We discovered this gem accidentally while searching for a suitable place to have dinner. The food was so delicious and the ambiance was pretty. The waiter who first came didn't know English at all, but a man who came after to serve us was very nice and welcoming, so it didn't matter. We will come again when we visit Budapest next time!

Relaxed dining experience any time. Good selection of tasty menu items. Vibrant social atmosphere. The table service was excellent from Norina who was both entertaining and attentive.

I had the salmon with a side of Cole slaw. I enjoyed it, the coleslaw was a bit spicy to my delight. Salmon was cooked properly with a nice green salad. Wait staff was attentive but not overly so.

The environment is very interesting and its the reason i give it a 3 star rating. The food that we had (burgers) was really bad. The bun, the meat it had a bad taste. The prices were also absurd compared to the rest of Budapest. I think their logic is "we are close to the hotels so lets rip off some tourists". The staff was polite however so this counts to the positives.

We were attracted by the beautiful decor and the setting of the place, only to realize that it was the actual restaurant our friend suggested we visit when in Budapest. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very courteous waitress Dominika, shown to our table, food and drinks didn’t take long to arrive and Dominika kept on checking on us every now and then to make sure everything was going well and that we were enjoying our meals. We really enjoying dining in Spíler, and I would suggest it to anyone going to/in Budapest. Good job!

We visited Spiler, Budapest in June 2023 three separate times. Everything was exceptional! The menu was diverse, the food arrived hot and was delicious. The venue was clean, quirky, well decorated and welcoming. The staff (particularly Mario, Pepper Guy and the cocktail lady of which I can’t remember her name) were all so polite, helpful, punctual and spoke good English. Their service was second to none and I highly recommended visiting Spiler.
