Really one of the best Italian dinners I have had outside Italy. Fantastic and plentiful food. The starter (meat and cheese plate) was just so enormous that the rest of the meal was almost too much! Loved the stoned walls and arches, it gives a nice cachet to the place. Great staff, we got a digestive for free. Really quite evening but I reckon that it may be much busier.

I was SO glad I stumbled across this gem. I may not have if it weren't around the corner from my hotel, but if anyone now asks for restaurant recommendations in Budapest, I always tell them to come here. The restaurant is quaint and cozy. Beautiful exposed brick and low lighting. Right from the first steps inside, it felt cozy and inviting. To me, half of what makes a good restaurant is the decor, and this was so nice. The staff were quick to show us to our table and were friendly right off the bat. I ordered a beautiful Caprese Salad for entree and it was not only delicious, but so beautifully plated, it was almost too pretty to eat. The mozzarella cheese was such stunning quality and the vegetables so fresh and tasty. It came out in a reasonable time and couldn't fault it at all. For main - which also came out in a reasonable time - I ordered the Penne Al Salmone Fresco E Salsa Rosa, which was a salmon penne pasta in a pink sauce. Sooooo good and delicious. The food was hot, well presented and faultless. While it felt almost "wrong" to be eating Italian food in Budapest, it was one of my favourite meals. The restaurant is near the banks of the Danube and a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth a visit. You'll be so glad you did. Not only will you have a really good meal with friendly staff and a good atmosphere, but the meal was well priced and reasonable. Do yourself a favour if you're ever in Budapest, and make a reservation to eat dinner here. You'll hopefully love it as much as I did.

Excellent Italian just of a newly renovated square. Inside looks modern and is nicely decorated. Apparently the chef was grumpy (see photo below) but nevertheless he was able to cook very well 😀 😉 staff is efficient but could be a bit more engaging but overall excellent food in nice surroundings. Recommended. Been back a couple of times now and better staff around more engaging and create better atmosphere. Food still very nice 😀

A good Italian restaurant. Nothing special. Nothing to complain about but nothing was amazing. The beef tenderloin was very good and recommended.

The Restaurant serves great food with huge portions. We were satisfied 100%. We had a family meet (4 of us) for a birthday celebration. The Whole restaurant staff greeted with birthday song and wishes. The staff members are very friendly, listen and provide us what we need. Most important, the food was one of the best what we had in the past 5 yrs at Budapest. A great place not to be missed. Since the restaurant has about 10 tables recommend to go with reservation.

Best dinner in Budapest. We walked right by it because it’s on a street with construction at the end and some Government building across the street with an armed guard. We double backed and found it. So glad we did. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We started with a glass of red wine, liked it so much we switched to a bottle. We had the mushroom risotto as a shared starter. Over the top creaminess and flavor. Wow! My husband had the grilled octopus which was perfectly spicy and seasoned well. He said it is hard to make grilled veggies special, but in this case they did. I had the filet mignon with grilled goose liver and mushrooms. The sauce was a red wine based brown sauce with the liver and mushrooms flavor that explodes in your mouth. Writing this is making my saliva glands go crazy. We were too full to have dessert. Don’t miss this place!

As a dinner for a celebration of a middle autumn day, it was great! The staff was warm and very helpful, recommend some nice dishes for us! Every dish was delicious and the material was fresh. spaghetti was an only half portion, we cannot how big the whole portion is.Tips: they will not serve you without reservation.

A very good restaurant that not only serves Italian food but also provides an entire Italian experience. The pasta dishes are huge. The score is 4 because the seafood is not fresh.

The best Italian restaurant in Budapest. I really recommend this place for good food (mainly Italian traditional recipes), Italian wines and the nice atmosphere. Franco, the waiter, offered us a spectacular experience, cooking some dishes in front of us and guiding us to the best menu with the most fresh products. Expensive compared with most of the restaurants in Budapest, but worth it.

Nice place and good food.... the exceptional tiramisu to try just for that
