I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stex Ház in Budapest, and it was a truly delightful culinary experience. The restaurant offers traditional Hungarian dishes, and I couldn't wait to try the goulash soup, duck, and pork knuckle. The goulash soup was a hearty and flavorful dish, with tender beef, potatoes, and vegetables in a rich and savory broth. The duck was cooked to perfection, with crispy skin and juicy meat that was bursting with flavor. The pork knuckle was equally delicious, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat that fell off the bone. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a bottle of the famous sweet Tokaji wine and some local beer. Both were excellent choices and complemented the flavors of the food perfectly. Overall, our dining experience at Stex Ház was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making for a truly memorable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an tasty experience in Budapest.

Stex Haz is an excellent place where one can get great service, fantastic food and drink for affordable amount of money. They have both daily and weekly menus, with a selection of three-course or one-course offers. Moreover, they have excellent offer of drinks and beverages. The atmosphere is great over there, as well as the service. Waitors are fantastic and try hard to give their best, professional but hospitable in the same time! Warm recommendations to visit it!

Very tasty food😋, the aged meat is excellent😎 The Rib-eye steak is perfect and the Beef cheek with grilled wegetables is also delicious, we also ordered desserts, which were super good😋

I am really surprised to see the amount of good reviews... Food was awful, and for this quality overpriced, then there is a 15% tip. What happened to the chef from 2021-2022? I really didn't want to put a bad review, but the meat used was not fresh and was below average. Cocktails are okay, but bland. Paid for tomato salad which was not served at all I used to like this place a lot, I write this so owners can see where to improve. For the amount paid, can eat fresh and good food elsewhere. The only positive is the waiters, - despite they forgot to serve the tomato salad - were friendly.

Looks like ordinery bar in the street but...unexpectedly amaising menu. From fish to stakes.. We have tryed chef's choice. Mango soup with ricotta cream and strawberries, black spaghetti with sea food and pork stuffed with ricotta and dryed tomato with bacon. It was exceptional! Everything tasted perfect. Professional. Would recommend it!

We stopped by here for lunch as we wanted Goulasch and they had it. The food was great, as was the service. They had a good selection of food and we even got a glass of Palinka on the house for everyone. The price was right given the quality, service and location. Would definitely recommend this place.

Heard so good things of the restaurant so maybe I should give it a second try. But my experience was unfortunately not good. I ordered a drink that never arrived and it might be because I was alone that the waiters didn’t really pay much attention to me. The goulash soup had a good taste but was mostly potato and very little meat.

Well, in the end of the year they just have Christmas menu, less options, more expensive. Me and a friend ordered a plate to 2 people and the waitress told us for sure that we could share to pay half and half for this food. But, for our surprise, when we went to pay they change their mind and said we could not do this anymore. Besides this really annoying situation, that we could not share the price of a plate of almost 13000 forint (35 euros) , they also charged service fees TWICE, totaling almost 2 thousand forint, And they don't said this anywhere. They was not polite with us when we asked about this. We feel robbed and disrespected. Was it because they realized that we are not from the country? A Latina and an Asian? That was our impression. There was no need to lie, because that's what happened. So desapoint. Too expensive to pass by this situation... too annoying, and also the food is not worth the price. Extremely sad and not nice experience. I don't recomend.

The waiter very fanny and helpful. The atmosphere very relaxed. Many Hungarians frequent this restaurant. Including a couple of friends. The food tasted good and enough. I ordered the Steak Platter with paprika sauce, very testing. For dessert the famous and delicious Somlói Galuska. All with a delicious draft beer. The fair price.

Best goulash soup in the this quarter of the Budapest.

We had such a great evening here. The beer was delicious and the food was so good. We had a plate to share. There was so much food! Pork knuckle, gammon stuffed with cheese, delicious crispy onions, steak and a gorgeous gravy. It really was good food. The service was fantastic and even though it was very busy they fitted us in without a booking.

Nice interior, tasty foods and local beers, helpful staff, not touristic. Thanks 😊 p.s it became one of my favorite in Budapest

We stayed at the Kozmo Hotel and this Restaurant is a short walk away. Food was delicious. Drinks and cocktails were great. Service was excellent. Very reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend.

Food was fine although the grill platter could have been warmer when served (it was almost cold). Service was unengaging, lacking any friendly vibe.

Sharing steak platter was really good, the new York strip just melts in your mouth, quick service and good seating outside

When I am thinking and ordering pork ribs in a restaurant, I imagine to have some real pork ribs (with bone, BBQ glazing and slow cooked - as they usually are!) Not to receive some oily/greasy PORK SNITZEL covered in corn flakes..truly outrageous to call this pork ribs 🤮😔 Service-below average

Beer is good. Atmosphere in is high end restaurant, but with fair prices. But the food. THE FOOD! I traveled a lot and I can say this is one of the best foods I have ever had. Their Pepper sauce is something even Gordon Ramsey would acknowledge as genius.

Great restaurant with good selection of dishes including traditional Hungarian, and Czech ones. The drinks range were also great, with unpasteurised local beer, and craft beer as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend this place.

Atmosphere was good , nice music and the staff were friendly, but I ordered the beef burger and I just couldn't eat it , I tried my best as I hate leaving any food behind but I couldn't stomach it with the "black mayonnaise " I'm sorry but this to me seems like a gimmick, you eat 1st with your eyes then your mouth and the black mayonnaise looks like tar off a road it's so off-putting my stomach was turning! I tried my best to eat around the burger and scrape off the black stuff! The wedges were also alittle soggy too not the way I would like them, very disappointing.

Food and service was amazing! We tried the goulash soup, snitzel and pappardele pasta! Best restaurant we have eaten so far and we actually enjoyed it! Food was amazing and staff was so friendly and helpful! Totally recommend!

Went in for a quick lunch. We had fried chicken leg with rice and veggies, cheese soup and donuts for dessert. Portions were adequate, if not more than enough. The waiters were so kind and attentive it definitely tied the food and the restaurants atmosphere together. Definitely recommend this place, and we’ll obviously be back for another lunch.

I had the lunch special for 2000 Huf roughly $6 and it came with this amazing Fried and breaded apple 🍎in a vanilla custard sauce 😋 dessert!

The best steak house in Budapest in my opinion. Great atmosphere, cozy and comfortable dining environment. Great restaurant decoration and layout. Delicous food and quality services. The best part about stex is that Stex has delicous dry-age beef and billiards tables.
