We truly enjoyed the food we tried. STARTERS: -Classical Hummus - delicate, tender, perfect, served with hot delicious Lebanese bread -Maghmour - special Lebanese vegetable stew, a bit too savoury, but really nice to start the meal

MAIN DISHES: -Mix grill plate (great option for a big company) which includes grilled lamb, chich taouk (special Lebanese chicken), kafta (minced meat with vegetables), grilled vegetables and pickled cucumbers 

-Shawarma - amazingly tasty grilled veal with onions, tomatoes, and Lebanese spices, served on a bed of hummus and topped with Tahini sauce and Lebanese bread. Delicious. 

DESSERTS:
-Halawet et Jibn - Lebanese sweet pastry stuffed with delicate and creamy cheese, and topped with pistachios and pomegranate
- Mafroukeh - AMAZING pistachio dessert with home-made cream cheese and topped with roses and orange blossom syrup

COFFEE with cardamon: It was cherry on the top - for those who love coffee with cardamon, you will understand. I loved how it was served in the traditional Lebanese coffee set. Recommended to visit.

I found the 'authentic' in the name a bit cocky, but this place proved to have nothing short of textbook authentic Lebanese/Middle Eastern flavours. Colourful and lovely dishes served by an attentive staff. The desserts were exceptional, too. I liked the decor as well - just the right amount!

We ate here two times and found the food, service and atmosphere to be excellent. We hadn’t made reservations but the host was very accommodating in squeezing us in. The salads were fresh and delicious- with ample variety for vegans and vegetarians. My carnivore partner said the meat dishes were also high quality. Coming from the Levant and a home that prepares this food for generations, that’s a good recommendation.

We have visited the restaurant several times and always been impressed. However, we tried the takeaway/delivery service today and it was really, really disappointing. Grilled lamb arrived cold, tough, overcooked, dry and tasteless. The accompanying vegetables were far too little, and cold. Pita bread was dry, thin and also without taste. The hummus was kind of ok. However, for this kind of cuisine Leila's is easily the most expensive on Wolt. Come on guys, this is not good enough. It was my first time eating Lebanese and I must say it was really tasty. There were many many vegan options as well as gluten free. The service was really nice and the music and decoration makes you fell the Lebanese hospitality. I ordered the pesto. Hummus and it was delicious, creamy and I could taste the pesto. The chickpea stew was fine too. The portions of one dish isn't that big for one person.

I’m from Bahrain and whenever I’m feeling homesick and craving tastes of home I turn to Leila’s 😀 Proper creamy hummus, proper crispy on the outside falafel, proper toum and proper khobez (no pita rubbish)... you get the idea! Plus the staff are super friendly and considerate and always make that extra effort to make sure you are well taken care of no matter how busy they are. So happy to see them representing true Arab hospitality in the center of Budapest ❤️

I was really hungry for some Lebanese food and there are a few options in the city. I chose this place out of convenience. The serving sizes are generous, and the prices are similar to elsewhere in the city. The tabbouleh was delicious, and I ordered the hummus with meat. The hummus was really good, but the meat had a lot of liquid in it, which made the hummus watery. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I liked sitting outdoors, but a heater would have been nice.

The service, the atmosphere and the location is great, I assume this is the reason for the decline in flavors and the food quality. I've brought my family there and I was bragging that it's the best in town, and sadly it's not anymore 🙁 But for those who are trying Lebanese food for the first time it might be still impressive. To me it's my absolute favourite ever and that's why I expected much more. The kunafa for example was made out of semolina instead of vermicelli, I've never seen that anywhere before.

We were so very lucky to have found this superb restaurant. As a Lebanese, I can tell you; with the utmost certainty, the food here is as authentic as can be. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and exquisitely delicious. The Falafel was the best I've had in decades. The Fatoush Salad was supreme in presentation and flavor. The Sautéed Potatoes were perfectly fried and tumbled in cilantro, garlic and olive oil... a terrific flavor indeed. The Humus was precise in flavor and texture. And then we have the Kafta... the two skewers were grilled to perfection with that moist and yummy taste. And then we couldn't leave without completing our meal without satisfying our sweet tooth and so we chose Mafroukeh and I'm glad we did. It was absolutely amazing and heavenly. I must also give credit to the owner, Ahmed and his entire team. They are running a fabulous restaurant and putting out delicious food and impeccable service. Ahmed is very hospitable and mixing with his big smile and humble demeanor. We loved our dining experience at Leila's as it was most definitely memorable and I look forward to the day when we return to Budapest to enjoy Leila's Lebanese Cuisine. Where can I start, the food was absolutely amazing. We could really tell that the food was cooked with love. The hummus was better than any place we’ve tasted in London, the garlic sauce phenomenal, the chicken was not dry at all and was full of flavour, kibbeh was nice and not dry, tabbouleh was again one of the best I’ve had, and the environment inside was so lovely and cosy. Definitely a must not just for people who eat halal food but for anyone in the area. The service was amazing too! Will definitely come back next time we visit budapest!!
