Great hotel, friendly staff. Worth to pay some extra money for the room with a view. Really like this place

We were on 8-9-10 September. The guy at the reception desk was very unfriendly. During the day none of the hotel representatives even said hello. At 10.30 pm we went to the bar and made sure it was open beforehand. It was supposed to be open until 12 midnight and we calculated our time to have one drink until 11.30 pm. When we went to the entrance of the bar, there was a sign that the bar closes at 12 at night. But we were standing at the entrance at 10:30. When we called the bartender, both he and the waitress who worked that night just ignored us, without even coming up and explaining the whole situation. When we returned to the room we called the reception, again our "professional guy" at the front desk just ignored without answering our attempts to call him. A horrible impression was left by the hotel. If you position yourself as a 4 or 5 star hotel - comply! We gave a lot of money for quality service and professional staff - not for resentful, unprofessional personal.

I like this hotel as it has very spacious rooms all nice decorated. The service is good and friendly. In the morning jou can enjoy a great breakfast buffet....one of the best breakfast buffets in Budapest.!! It is located on the Buda side but you have a direct view over the river to the houses of parlement. Beautiful...also in the evening. By this location this hotel is very good located for a City trip....as it is very central located.

Location location, location. Just a short walk to the chain bridge and historical tours of both Buda and Pest. A LOVELY breakfast. Be sure to request a room with a view of the parliament building - GORGEOUS!

Had an unpleasant experience in family room 106. The room has 2 single beds which are ok and a sofa which is horrible. Our children couldn’t sleep on that sofa so my wife and I had to make the sacrifice. It was the most unpleasant experience in a hotel. It is impossible to sleep and get rested on that sofa due to its level which is uneven, having very hard sections on had and legs and a softer section in the middle. Anyway, the room carpet was fool of stains and cigarette burns, the window has a bad insulation feeling the wind blowing and the ventilation system is loud during the night and difficult to find a comfortable temperature. Bottom line: stay away from this hotel which is way to expensive reported to what it has to offer (payed almost 500Euro for 3 nights). Later edit: I’ve explained to the reception manager the situation and invited him in the room to see with his own eyes the reason of my complain. His was kind to accept the invitation and he told me that the sofa is not for adults but for children only. If my children ages 11 & 13 felt it extremely uncomfortable you must imagine how uncomfortable was for my wife and myself. And why children must take an uncomfortable bed??? My philosophy is that my children deserve the best! In other words, I understood “between the lines” that usually they do not accept families/children, and this was an exception. The reason is that children are “destroying” the rooms… most probably the cigarette burns on the carpet were made by children as well… 😊. C’mon. Anyway, the manager was kind enough to change our room with the one that it was supposed to give to us from the very beginning. A nice room at the 7th floor with 2 large double beds. Additionally, they waived the 60 Euro parking fee to compensate those two terrible nights. Bottom line: • The manager was nice and helped us ending the vacation is a positive note. • The upper room was ok with a nice river view and warm. • Beware if you are traveling with you family / children. • In my opinion the hotel needs immediate refurbishment. • The price does not reflect the quality. • Nobody smiles over there. The smile is very important where you are in vacation :)

Just had three nights here for short break. Great value but we did upgrade room by 40 euros a night to get a river view and Parliament building, beautiful to wake up to with the sun pouring in. Hotel is very clean, nice modern bar and restaurant with good food and well priced and perfect place to come back to at the end of a long day. Service from the team at the hotel was faultless. Very friendly and attentive. Fully recommend. Also prefer the Buda side to stay as you look over Pest.

a hotel in a fantastic location, on the bank of the Danube, with a view of some of the most attractive sights of Budapest.. the breakfast is really excellent and the staff very friendly.. The downside is the poor maintenance of the facility and the staff at the reception.. namely, they gave us a room with a faulty air conditioner while it was >36°C outside (and in the room more or less the same, so after a few hours of stay I got sick), which unfortunately they probably knew, but the hotel was full, so only after a couple of calls and insisting that we talk to the hotel manager did we get a replacement room of Standard category (and in the end we were charged for a Superior room). I didn't want to argue with the staff at the reception and thus ruin a nice weekend, but that kind of behavior is definitely not right. The reassurance from the receptionist when I called the reception for the first time was that we are not in the USA so that the air conditioning works flawlessly and do I know that today is the hottest day with a temperature of 39°C and what would I want?!

Health Hazard: stench of sewage room with the best view of Parliament In an unsanitary room, reeking of sewage, the restaurant staff treats guests like intruders. Deep-rooted in post-communist times, the customer service reflects a lack of hospitality, with General Manager, Andrei Shvaich, too preoccupied to address guests' concerns.

It is a nice hotel to stay in. The location is great. The only concerning thing was that when we left the room in the morning for a city tour and returned in the evening....... the room looked so unkept. The used towels were still in the room. The tea area had leftover empty sachets. It was not cleaned. The other areas of the rooms were just left messy.

We stayed for a long weekend, and the views of the Danube and Parliment are fantastic. There are 2 local restaurants nearby. Trams run outside with easy access into the city or down towards the Citadel and Gellert thermal spa and baths. The Palace and Fisherman's bastion can be seen from the rear of the hotel, we got the funicular up there. We had a room on the 5th floor, the bed was comfy, shower pressure was good, and it also had a fridge that we filled with drinks and snacks from the little shop located on the back street behind the hotel. We did manage to break the shower head holder, and reception sent a chap to fix it while we were out. The only negative was that the air conditioning was not working properly, the wall controller was not working correctly as the thermostat did not do anything nor did the fan speed selector. Reception said the maintenance chap made an adjustment, but there was no change. However, they did supply a decent plug-in fan that helped circulate the air at night. The outside air temperatures was only around 25'C and humidity was bearable. Having visited Budapest twice before, the summer can be very hot, so I would not be giving a semi postive review if was hotter. In my eyes, working AC is a minimum requirement for the price of the hotel. Anyway, we are not people to let things like this ruin our trip, and overall, it was fabulous.

OK hotel, although a bit pricey. Views from the room was excellent with the Danube just below and the parliament just across the river. Room was OK in size and had the usual amenities including A/C (which was highly needed with 37 C outside). Restaurant on-site with a really excellent Gullasch-soup, which can be recommended.

The location really is perfect. Situated facing the Danube and behind it is the castle. The views are fantastic. The building itself is stylish with lots of art around. The rooms were very good : large , clean ,tidy and worth paying for a riverside view as the view from the room can be put on a postcard. On the left was the parliament buildings and on the right was the chain bridge. I highly recommend their breakfast. Its fantastic. A massive variety to suit any diet. When we were staying , the front desk had two staff members, Dorka and Zoltan who really were fantastic. They were efficient, keen to help and had lots of suggestions about where to eat and visit. It really made the stay even better as they sorted any niggle we had. One word of warning - beware the taxis! Some take advantage of a tourist unfamiliarity with the currency - so make sure you have agreed a price before you set off. We loved Budapest and I doubt we would look at another hotel next time we come.

The rooms were very clean and we got upgraded to a suite which made out experience fantastic! We didn’t want to leave our room! Only issue was that it was far away from the city center for my taste, which is also why we preferred to be in our room.

Great place to stay. We had a beautiful view of the parliament from our room. The reception area was welcoming. The bar was great. Breakfast service was excellent. The staff polite. Only con was the work on the chain bridge which made travel to Pest longer and expensive.

In our Central Europe trip, we had always chosen Radisson Hotels. The best experience we had, was in art’otel Budapest. It’s a great hotel to stay. All staff was so helpful and friendly. The concept of the hotel is wonderful. You feel that you are in a high quality place. The view of hotel is also marvelous. We also tried “beef goulash soup” which tastes so delicious. Finally, the breakfast was also so good. Thanks to all staff.

We loved it! The hotel is warm and welcoming, because the staff are making the experience about you and your comfort. I had the car driven into the garage by a concierge. That was completely unexpected, as the hotel is not that expensive. The hotel has two wings: the old and the new. The old wing is gorgeous, spacious, elegant, while the new is modern, with an artistic twist. The rooms in the new wing are comfortable and the bed sheets are superbly soft and pleasant. The breakfast was yet another beautiful experience.

The Danube view rooms are awesome. The underground parking is a bit strange and tight, and it's frustrating that you always have to ask the reception to leave/park your car.

We had a wonderful experience with this hotel during our 3-night stay to spend New Year in Budapest. The rooms are clean and cozy, the staff is friendly and helpful, great breakfast with so many options available and overall a good choice to stay here. There is a tram station in front of the hotel where you can go in both directions to visit different objectives in the city as the public transport is very well organised and even if the tram line is close to the hotel and there is some traffic you don't hear anything in the room or feel any vibrations so you have all conditions for a good sleep.

The hotel has some great views of Budapest. Rooms are comfortable. Cushions need to be improved. Housekeeping needs to be improved. Room supplies were not replenished and we had to ask for them everyday

Very good 4 day stay. Good service. Room with Castle view - so no trafficnoice. Very good sleep. Carpet though in room 526 needs cleaning - really stained. Breakfast with good variation and very alert staff cleaning ones table as soon as a plate was empty. One day only cold water available - it would have been good with a sign in the elevator informing the progress on getting warm water back. But overall - a hotel to recommend.

Really nice hotel, great location, quieter than the Pest side of the river. Staff are really helpful and friendly, food and drinks in the restaurant aren’t badly priced, but typically more expensive than bars/restaurants elsewhere in the city but that is to be expected. Views of Parliament at night from the river face rooms can be spectacular.

This hotel has the best location in Budapest! We booked 2 rooms, one with Dandube view on one side of the hotel, and one with Castle Hill view on the other side. Both were very nice, the Parliament view is just AMAZING, our room was located on the 3rd floor and we even had a nice balcony! It was fantastic! Highly recommended. Also, the hotel is very quiet, and the staff is very nice, but I have the impression that it's understaffed. There are long lines at the reception as there are only 2 people taking care of check-ins/-outs. Also, one situation was quite surprising, we were at the hotel after 3PM which is after the check-in time and they told one guy that his room is not ready yet, I would be angry if it was for me, because the check-out time is 11 and they still didn't have a room for this poor tired guy after 3PM because it wasn't cleaned. Cleaning is another thing, I'm pedantic so I see everything and the room wasn't cleaned very well. I had hair on the counter in the bathroom, and there were terrible fingerpritns on the mirror in another room. One more negative thing at the end, we checked-out, but after some time I realized I left my charger in the room and there was NO WAY to get it back! The guy at the reception called 3 different people from the cleaning service, but nobody knew who cleaned my room and if they found anything. Management seems to be poor, I once left my charger in another hotel and they did EVERYTHING to get it back and returned it to me eventually. Here the guy just said they can't do anything else and that's it. Generally- I recommend this hotel very much and I'd stay here once more.

We were part of a large group (125) from Canada coming for Christmas. The hotel was not prepared to process such a large group efficiently. We chose a one bedroom suite which was lovely with double french doors in each room that opened to a direct view of the Danube across the street and all the splendour of the mountain side of Budapest (see photos). The king sized bed was like a Star Wars cruiser and appeared to float above the floor. Dangerous tub/shower with no safety grab bars!! The elevators are very small and the overweight buzzer comes on at four people with no luggage. Not good when a hundred are trying to get to their room. There were only two luggage carts and no porters which was murder on our older guests and the hallways were stifling hot. The lounge bar/restaurant did not bring in any extra staff even though we were there for five nights. You had to fight for service at the bar and trying to order food was out of the question, so we ate elsewhere, which was a good thing. There are no ice machines either on the floors or in the minibars. The bar reluctantly would give you a couple of cubes in a paper cup. The quality of the room furnishings and the view should make this a five star, just don't plan to stay when the place is busy!

Fantastic location, spacious rooms, lovely staff and great views. I especially enjoyed the breakfast room service at the hotel because I landed quite early in the morning after 24 hours of travelling and would have never made it down for breakfast. Highly recommend.

Room was big, bed was comfy, bathroom was nice and clean, location was great - very close to the popular sights and the metro. Internet was working well. The only issue we had was that the temperature was high even though we turned off the heating system and the radiator about 2 hours after checking in. We stayed for 4 nights and were sleeping with the window open. We assumed that the room would not cool down because pipes may have been crossing the floor or walls. To be honest we did not ask if it could be fixed somehow, we were just opening the window. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and rooms are spacious. Bed was a bit hard for our liking and the room was hot. Breakfast is expensive at 15eur per person, there is a great cafe round the corner (25 Main Street Cafe) which does fresh, delicious breakfast.

Nice hotel. Pretty convenient location on the Buda side of the river across from the Parliament building shown in my photos. Our room had a window that could be opened and it looked over a nice courtyard which provided a pleasant view from our view which was a nice complement to view out the front of the hotel.

Very nice hotel right at the Danube river. If you're lucky, you can get a aroom with a view across to river to the parliament building. Rooms are well kept and large enough, staff is friendly and speaks good english. Breakfast buffet is very good. Several intersting sites can be reached on foot or with a short ride.

Great team managing the hotel all the way through the check-in to checkout. Rooms are spacious, clean and well planned out. Loved a separate dressing room, was very comfortable for a family stay. Varied and quality breakfast choices. Staff very attentive, professional and helpful. Hotel is situated in a great neighborhood, walking distance to castle district, budapest funicular and many others attractions. We were assisted at check-in / checkout by Barnabas who was a great help. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.

the rooms are clean but with a lot of signs of wear. The bathroom is old fashioned. The staff is friendly. Really good and varied breakfast. The location of the hotel is otherwise good, but the main bridge is under renovation and therefore you had to take three different trams to the center, which takes a lot of time.

It's on the Buda side. From our room we have a perfect view of the Parliament Building. We can lay in bed and see it all lit up. There is a Hop on Hop off bus stop about a block away that we not only use fir sightseeing, but it works great for a free taxi. Staff are exceptionally helpful and nice.

The location is really convenient, easy to reach especially from budapest kelenföld. The breakfast is great, rooms are nice and clean and the location is beautiful. We had "backside" room at only second floor and still had a great view with fishermans bastodion and st michael church. River side is even more beautiful.
