We spent a few days here with my husband in September. It was our fist 5* hotel experience and it was phenomenal. First of all, this building is beautiful on the inside. I’ve spent years passing it by and I never knew what it was like from the inside. Our room was amazing, the bathroom was grandiose, the room service was impeccable and everyone was nice too. We felt like the most annoying guests as we had a lot of requests over the phone but everyone was very accommodating. We got a gratis chocolate cake and drinks to our room for our wedding anniversary too. The food was amazing, we tried the most amount of different dishes we were able to during our short stay. The only negative thing was that the bathtub didn’t function properly so we couldn’t use it. They tried to fix it and then offered another room too but we stuck with our original room as it was much more spacious and brighter. Honestly didn’t want to come home, it was that nice. We will definitely return when we can!

This is the most famous hotel in Budapest duo ti its famous Cafe. It's located at the heart of the city. Give you the impression that you are lives in an old Palace. Luxury rooms, polite staff. You will enjoy the decorations and antique. There are small swimming pool( indoor) , 2 sauna rooms and relaxation room. Large luxury rooms. You have the privilege to have you breakfast in the newyork Cafe. All means of transport around you.

Beautiful hotel, but be wary as they tried to take us to the apartment properties next door through corridors, not the same property. Only when we complained did they take us to a proper room, which was amazing! Still not sure what that was all about...FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Set right in the centre and only a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The food offering here is exquisite but if you don’t want to splash out then there are plenty of other quality places to eat nearby. Most definitely worthy of the 5 stars that it has been awarded! We will be staying here again.

We absolutely love this hotel!! It has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff go out of their way for you. We had a “small” room this time but it was very comfortable, with plenty of room. The bed was heavenly and absolutely massive!! The housekeepers did an excellent job and we were very well looked after. Thank you team Anantara x

I visited Budapest earlier this week on a Sunday from the UK, where me and a friend checked in to stay at this amazing hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is beautiful with nice architecture. The hospitality was the best I have ever received, from the staff at the reception desk, staff at the main entrance, the cafe and also the room service. Sadly I can’t remember any of the staff names except for two (Ivana and Jennifer who worked at the reception desk). All the staff were very polite, and made sure we were taken care of so that we have a pleasant stay. The food was amazing at the restaurant especially the dessert, the spa was also amazing where both me and my friend used the steam room, sauna, and pool area, our room was beautiful and in good condition, and so was the gym that I used twice. I will definitely come back to Budapest which is a beautiful city and I will make sure to check in to this hotel again one day in the future. People from the UK would love to see this.

(Translated by Google) Excellent location, nice furnishings, the studio was not the best cleaned - there was dust and cobwebs... terrible attitude - we should not have been accommodated there at all, we were supposed to live at a different address, they informed us of the change on the day of our arrival in Budapest, they also postponed our check etc (Original) Výborná lokalita, pekné zariadenie, štúdio nebolo najlepšie upratané - bol tam prach aj pavučiny.... strašný prístup - vôbec sme tam nemali byť ubytovaní, mali sme bývať na inej adrese, zmenu nám oznámili v deň príchodu do Budapešti, posunuli nám aj check in

100% perfect - location is very convenient and close to transports, train station and tons of bars and restaurants. The staff is super kind and helpful, from reception to breakfast, room cleaning, in-room dining, spa, luggage etc, everyone was lovely and efficient. Rooms are lush, clean and quiet. The fitness room is top quality. Having breakfast in the New York Café was a highlight of my stay. A true 5* experience.

We only went to the New York Cafe for dinner, and it was nice. The Starters need some help, but the Soups, and Main Courses were very good. Decor is beautiful, but the dining furniture is getting a little rough for the price of dinner... May be time to reinvest into the business.

What a wonderful hotel indeed!!! Currently staying for just an overnight and really wish we could stay longer. We were upgraded to a junior suite💗 and the room is so huge and beautiful. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Not to mention the stunning New York Cafe, no wonder people dont mind to que just to have an experience to dine in this most beautiful cafe in the world.

This is truly 5++ Stars. Old world elegance made us know we were really staying in a palace. We were spoiled by the food service personnel, like Brigi and Szimona for breakfast, and Lizette and (sadly I forgot the name of our main server) in White Restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for elegance and first class service.

The New York Cafe breakfast experience alone makes this hotel a must. Best service I have had and surrounded by a luxurious setting. Parking was the most convenient for a hotel with underground parking lot for guests. The direct area where the hotel is is walkable although at night there is a lot of bars and vagrants so we didn't feel safe after 9pm. When you walked outside the 7th district, things were better. Overall would definitely go back!

We got lucky with a huge room on the last floor with balcony and spectacular city views. Modern rooms with all amenities. Friendly and efficient service at level with some of the best Hotels in the world. Non cheap but worth it's money. Comfy SPA with staff that is easy on the eyes as well as your back.

Amazing stay here with my wife and 3 year old son. Absolutely 5⭐ experience with fantastic service, comfortable room, beautiful lobby & restaurant. The breakfast buffet is best I have ever had. Kristof and Arpy were extremely kind at breakfast, making our son feel very special. Rooms have USB ports and both UK and EU sockets. We had a great view from the 5th floor over the rooftops of Budapest. Very quiet at night - even though there was a dance event happening in the hotel while we were there

This hotel was one of my best stays. The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. These couple of days in this hotel made my holidays even better. Spa is nice and the massage was perfect. The hotel is very beautiful and the food/drinks delicious! I will definitely come back! Thanks

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff are so pleasant and accommodating, the restaurant was great (especially the breakfast buffet). I would recommend this hotel to anyone. A comparable hotel rate in my native Canada would not give me the same level of luxury or hospitality. Highly recommend!

The hotel lobby is pretty, but the room is really outdated. It doesn't match the pictures we saw online before making the reservation from their website. Infact- there were some clear signs of wear and tear in the room. The bathtub is really deep- very hard to get out of and a slipping hazard- even when you are careful. The breakfast at New York palace is the most over blown disappointing experience l've ever had. This hotel is all looks and no substance- especially for the prices they charge. The people working there are all friendly though and the spa is really clean and nice.

I recently had a great pleasure to use the sauna area, the swimming pool and the gym at your hotel. I also had breakfast and lunch which were, both of them up to my standards. I was pleasantly surprised by the extraordinary quality of your ketchup and overally by the freshness and the quality of all the ingredients. The presentation was outstanding, fully in tune with Hungarian traditions and values. I was humbled by the high level of service that your staff represents, those young people are full of vigor, good manners and they received the best training you can imagine as they operate in full discretion and class and there is nothing one appreciates more when going to such a hotel. I have travelled the world but never have I encountered so much kindness and devotion from staff. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything, especially for the perfect treatment I received at the spa area. I will recommend your place to everyone and as soon as I can I will come back. Your place felt like home to me. Thank you again for the warm welcome and the perfect service. Warmest regards. Karolina

Beautiful hotel in a great location for exploring the city, with a nice spa. All staff were very friendly and helpful, and you can also skip the queue for the New York Cafe by being a hotel guest and entering from the lobby. We weren’t massively impressed by that though, apart from the architecture. We had the breakfast one morning and didn’t bother going back again either - I’d recommend venturing out and finding somewhere else which will probably be cheaper unless you have breakfast included. The room was nice, although we were a little walk from the lobby, in a separate section of the hotel which definitely wasn’t as luxurious or grand. We checked in late though, so that could have been why. The spa was super relaxing and very luxurious, although it could have done with a proper hot tub. The one they have is long, thin and warm instead of hot - more like a small warm pool.

I recently stayed at Anantara New York Palace Budapest for three nights and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is very beautiful and the services are world-class. The hotel staff was really good and made me feel comfortable during my stay. The housekeeping was the next level, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail. The architecture of the hotel is so amazing that I would love to come back here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Very satisfied with the attentive service we got. The place is incredibly beautiful - I felt like in the fairytale. They had the best eggs for breakfast we have ever had. The duvets were so comfortable it was difficult to leave the bed. Very much recommended!

The hotel was truly amazing. Especially the service was exceptional. We also loved the breakfast in the famous New York Café. The hotel has avery nice gym and a spa. As Germans we were a bit irritated that swimwear was mandatory in the spa, but we assume the German standard isn't that common abroad. About the location: The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood with many shops and restaurants. Nevertheless the rooms were very quiet. The inner city with the main sights is a 20-30 minute walk.

Review for Spa: World class spa, with highly attentive service and well trained technicians. I had the pleasure of getting a massage from Ilona. She was phenomenal! I had a sprained ankle which she therapeutically massaged with so much care. I can’t recommend her enough. Zita coordinated everything and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She fit me in the last minute on a holiday. Thank you!

We were in Budapest for 3 days as a tourist. We definitely had to visit the famous cafes of New York. We waited in line for about an hour, but that's normal for this place. At any time of the day to come you will have to wait in line because it is very crowded. The inside is beautiful, we are speechless. It's really worth the hour wait. We took hot chocolate with 24 karat gold, it's really delicious. To go to a place like this you have to be armed with patience, if you are not ready for that, don't even go. I definitely recommend it.

Love it! Must try! Very nice service. The breakfast for hotel guests is in the famous New York Cafe! If you book breakfast at check in counter, it’s euro25 per person. Hotel lobby is bright and pretty. Room is very clean, big enough, beautiful washrooms. Welcome drink in hotel lobby. Swimming pool, spa and gym! Want to be back again!

Price place, but for the price you get opportunity to make amazing, movie like photos. Amazing interior. Coffe average quality.. Food tasty.. Crowded all the time. Stuff not too friendly, but it's reasonable too much people daily.. overall if you want to wait in line, pay 12e for coffee and 25e for a breakfast, get Amazing photos for a social network.. This is a perfect place!!! 5*

The hotel is indeed impressive, our room was a little disappointing (didn't look like the pictures), though still quite nice. However, hotel's own (the best) part of the New York Cafe makes it a must experience. The dinner at the White Salon (the balcony) with delicious and reasonable menu, beautiful live music, the best ambience and impeccable service, made it the highlight of our visit. The breakfast was even more incredible with the whole crew of waitresses, servers and managers going out of their way to please guests in the sublimely beautiful environment with outstanding food offerings. 6 out of 5 stars. Both reception and the restaurant/breakfast staff were extremely professional, attentive and friendly. Special thanks to our wonderful dinner and breakfast waitresses! Again, this is a must experience in a beautiful Budapest.

This is a high camp tourist route stop. It is not for me, but I am not particularly attracted to decor like this. If you are then I guess it is quite eye catching. I had a glass of wine, nothing to write home about. We did not eat, but the food appeared to be fine and decent portions. The bar is large in a curved space, has the ground floor and lower ground. The whole place was very busy. Small queue to get in but went quickly. Live piano with a very eclectic music choice! Unless you like this type of decor it would be fine to miss if you are here for only a short stay.

From the moment you step into the lavish lobby of the New York Palace Budapest, it becomes clear that this is more than just a hotel—it is a historical landmark steeped in grandeur, elegance and the fascinating narrative of a bygone era. The hotel offers 185 rooms, including 29 suites, each exuding a blend of traditional luxury and modern comfort. Rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and some offer stunning views of the city. The marble bathrooms, plush bedding, and attentive room service elevate your stay to another level. A highlight of my stay was the unforgettable dining experience at the hotel’s famed New York Café. The café is a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Vaulted ceilings, crystal chandeliers and ornate frescoes offer a regal backdrop while you indulge in the rich culinary offerings.

Exceptional hotel by all standards. Definitely one of the most beautiful and most luxurious hotels I've seen in Europe. The architecture and interior design are second to none. The attention you get from the staff is beyond expectations. The rooms are so comfortable and equipped with everything you might need. On top of all that, the breakfast in café new York is phenomenal 🙌

Truly beautiful hotel. Stayed for 2 nights this week. Magical ambience at breakfast with amazing food, decor and live music which showed Hungary at its finest. The breakfast staff (manager?) who showed his magic Rubik’s cube and card tricks to a young boy at the table next to ours was amazing - we were in awe! Thankyou for the unexpected entertainment. This hotel is one in a million, professional friendly staff, high spec bedrooms - and all in a city full of history and architectural splendour.

Absolutely stunning hotel with luxurious rooms, beautiful architecture and service to match. We stayed for 4 nights and accessed the cafe next door as well as the spa and pool. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool can be accessed from 9 to 9 daily. Breakfast is in the New York Cafe (own private area downstairs) as the main area is incredibly busy all day long with queues! Cannot rate this place highly enough!

Exceptional service and very nice facilities. If you stay use the baths and sauna, a great experience. The breakfast there is not to be missed. The exercise room is well painted but could use some additional weight benches for major muscle workouts.

Very good service. Architecture is great. Amazing hospitality, especially from Arpy in restaurant (for breakfast) which you can ask for some magic show from him as well! Very entertaining for kids. Thanks Arpy. Rooms are spacious. Location is not best. Still only 15-20 min walk from most attractions, but it is not in the heart of attractions. Breakfast is A+++ service.

We stayed here for a short vacation and it was worth every penny. The room was amazing, service and the team was fast and attentive, room service was also deliscious and quick. Enterior of the hotel is great and the spa is worth visiting. As for the attached New York cafe, it is nice but nothing out of this world, there is always a queue so I recommend asking the reception to reserve you a table if you plan on visiting it.

The hotel is beyond beautiful- big halls, big rooms, so luxurious and the architecture amazing. Definitely a hotel worth visiting. However I must add i was extremely disappointed by the staff working there. Most of them were cold and arrogant, a guy at the bar was plainly rude to me when I asked him for a small favour. My collegues told me theat the staff was very unwelcoming at the coffe bar as well so nothing good i can say about them, except for the one young boy who made us feel welcomed when we went to the congress room. The food is delicious, very appealing, also the desserts look perfect. I was a little irritated by the women restroom. There is about 2 cm gap between a door you could actually see who's waiting outside and they could see you. Only two toilets for women at the congress room, there were more than 250 attending.

Impressive from the outside and inside. Staff were mixed, room missing some amenities which were rectified quickly but not 5*. The room was spacious and clean with nice toiletries but the room itself needs updated. On a noisy street but quiet rooms on the other side available.

One of the best hotel experiences.... ever! From the orchestra playing on arrival at the hotel, to the staff that couldn't do enough for us. The bartender made some of the nicest cocktails we've ever tasted, the spa is excellent and our room was absolutely wonderful. To top it all off we had a view that looked over the rooftops of the city. World class hotel and incredible staff, thank you very much for your hospitality!

Well they were filming a #NETFLIX movie the day we arrived and no signs were posted on how to enter the hotel. But, otherwise the customer service from the staff was awesome. They were friendly and down to earth. The property is beautiful!

Beautiful hotel with a friendly and efficient staff that was always looking for ways to make sure I had a pleasant stay - everything from check-in, the New York Cafe, the spa, and guest relations people all did a wonderful job. Beautiful architecture and the New York Café at the hotel is something you just have to do when you visit Budapest. If you’re a hotel guest you’ll have the breakfast buffet here, but it’s also open to the general public with an a la carte menu. It feels like you’re eating in a museum. Very busy all day though. Buffet breakfast has a great selection. Hotel room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Very comfortable bed and slept really well. Hotel was quiet but is located about a 15min walk from the main train station, so very convenient if you’re arriving by train. Short walk to the main shopping and tourist district. Very beautiful hotel to stay and appreciated the helpful and attentive staff.

This hotel is beautiful inside and out. the architecture and interior design is like nowhere else I have stayed before. We stayed a few days for my fiancée’s 40th Birthday and we were so well looked after by the lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble for them and we were met with a warm smile and exceptional customer service from every team member we came across. A special thank you for organising the delicious birthday cake, such a lovely gesture and was greatly received.

Great location near the Jewish quarter. Extraordinary interior in the entry hall and breakfast area (New York Café) Super friendly and helpful staff that will point you to the best places. The breakfast is at a very high level with a great selection at the buffet and complementary a la carte dishes; like eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon etc. Rooms are specious, beds are very comfortable and cleaning is spotless. In some areas it is visible that the hotel isn't new or newly renovated. Especially the wellness area shows the wear of time, especially in the pool where tiles were coming off and some of the facilities weren't functional. Compared to the size of the hotel the wellness area is small and we were lucky to have it to ourselves most of the days. If more than 3 couples were using the pool, there weren't places to put your robe, towel and slippers. Nevertheless it was absolutely amazing to relax in the spa area after a long day of sightseeing in Budapest and value for money is great.

We stayed 4 nights at Anantara New York Palace in July 2021 and were very satisfied with both the room, amenities, the very (very!) helpful staff and the breakfast. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding from our booking company, which resulted in no vacancy for that type of room, but the staff were very forthcoming and chose to upgrade our room to a junior suite. At our arrival we were presented with a standard room, which we hadn’t booked - and the particular room, was dark, with a small window, the air was stale and we got the impression that this was a room that hadn’t been used for quite a while. That room was definitely not a 5 star room. The junior suite however was amazing. Spacious, light, the AC was quiet, 2 big windows, luxurious bathroom. The room was worthy of 5 stars. The breakfast downstairs underwent a change in experience and offering during our stay and it resulted in an exceptional breakfast experience as well. On the last morning we had breakfast as room service, and it was delicious. Coffee made to order and freshly made juice excellent as well. We arrived by car, and that experience was actually bad. At the street entrance a sign informed that the hotel wouldn’t cover any damages to the car, the parking floors looked unguarded and dirty, smelly and with unrepaired damages to several structures. The signage was scarce, and the main elevator was broken (we were on level -3), so we had to find another elevator that ended in an empty (abandoned?) conference hall at floor 0 so we were very confused at how to get to the hotel. There was no sign telling guests which button to press or where to go. In the end we found the hotel reception and were shown that first dark almost windowless room - so our first impression of the hotel was not good. Fortunately - with the help of the very friendly staff - our stay ended up to be worthy of 5 stars. Thank you 🙏🏻

Excellent place. Reasonable, Comfortable, and Excellent indoor. I strongly recommend you to stay in here. Other 5 star hotels are also great, but this has gorgeous restaurant (cafe). Only wierd thing is that why the owner changes frequently? I use this hotel usually when I go to Budapest, the owner always changed from Boscolo, Dedica (Marriott) to NH hotels. 🧐

Lovely historical building in central location, super clean, large rooms, good service (if you are nice they will be even nicer to you). Get the breakfast in their New York Café, it's worth it, I mean look at that room! 💜

I can't decide whether the service or the building is more spectacular. I felt welcome and well catered for. The rooms are spacious and really comfortable. Amazing stay in this hotel. Stayed here for three nights in December in the new extension (designed in keeping with the original building). Rooms were spacious and aesthetically pleasing and beds were very comfortable. I did feel quite warm and had to ask for a fan even with the window open, but this did do the trick (however this is December we are talking about). The lobby area is gorgeous and as well as tentative staff they had a lovely live band play briefly in the evenings. I also used the gym twice. the gym features the best in class technogym equipment and although they didn't have heavy free weights or barbells using the cable machine I could get a good upper body workout in. The hotel connects to the New York Cafe and guests can skip the queue which got ridiculously long at times providing a real sense of being a VIP. whilst I think the food here is over rated guests can also sit in the balcony area and overlook the main restaurant which made for a really pleasant dining experience. I also did really enjoy the buffet breakfast. In terms of location, it is perhaps not as well located as other hotels such as the Hilton or Four Seasons however bolt/taxi's are quite cheap and the city isn't huge/too congested so not really a problem getting anywhere you need relatively quickly. Overall a really enjoyable experience, I am not someone who stays in hotels of this quality too often so thankfully I left feeling I got my fix of luxury having stayed here.

Amazing hotel and even better staff. From the cleaners to breakfast staff and also the Guest Manager, Adrienn. We are so grateful to have received a handwritten card, cake and champagne for my partner’s birthday. We were bought cute little gifts each day (flowers, handmade chocolates) and the fitness room is perfect. Such an amazing experience. We will definitely be back to experience the spa, which was unfortunately closed for renovations. Thank you!

Ornate luxury hotel in center of Budapest. Large comfortable and quiet rooms. Many modern features - even a USB-C outlet on each side of the bed. Bidet. Tub with many shower features, but it has a wide step up to get in that is quite challenging for most people (otherwise I would give the room 5 stars). Posh breakfast in New York Cafe under baroque ceilings. Attentive staff.

This hotel is totally amazing and out of this world. The location is very central and close to all the attractions. The hotel building is breathtakingly beautiful and full of little details. The staff are incredibly kind, thoughtful and helpful. The spa is great, in particular massage services, and the breakfast buffet is something else! Still dreaming about it and wish to come back very soon. Perfect for a special occasion and great value for money.

First the good parts - stunning property, generally nice rooms, nice spa/pool area, got an upgrade on the first night and good location. The bad parts, and unfortunately there were far to many for the price of this hotel. First of, the AC broke in our first room, we moved to a second room, and lo and behold - that AC also broke, moving us yet again. Room service served a borderline frozen goulash soup, the room keys constantly would stop functioning, and overall the housekeeping staff lacked training and would consistently burst into the room straight away.

If you are looking for the best service and want to feel yourself like a royalty then this hotel is for you !This is the best hotel I have ever been too, considering the fact that I travel a lot ! The service is literally amazing and had the best time ever. I felt myself like a royalty being there. Also what to say a huge thanks to Jessica ( hopefully I remembered her name right ) who has dealt with some incident in a very high level ! Once I’m back to Budapest definitely gonna stay there again !

Luxury hotel that could remind you of the 'Grand Budapest Hotel'. I had booked a premier room with the upgrade but just found out that mini bar wasn't perfectly refreshed. There was one open soft drink in it. I told it to the reception and for the whole night, they had amazing extra service as an apologize. Greatly motivated staffs. I would highly recommend Anantara over Marriott or Intercontinental, it may cost more but quite exceptional compared to the ordinary big chains.

A 5 star hotel where breakfast is served in the "most famous cafe in the world" ... which does not have a smoking terrace, which "invites" you outside if you want to smoke, outside where there is no ashtray, a " something "to put the coffee on, the coffee that has meanwhile been poured into a plastic cup ... Simply, from the dream cafe, you wake up outside next to the beggars who look trough the windows, with both hands locked by coffee and cigarette and trying a telepathic communication with the phone from the pocket which is full of news and which has to wait to be read ... I think, should I quit smoking or choose another hotel next time? The answer is simple ...

Great experience with very Friendly staff. We enjoyed every minutes of it. Cafe is the best in the city with wonderful staff. Compare to 5 star hotels in US, this hotel charges like 80% less

Visiting Budapest from the USA. Wow! What an amazing hotel. The food and service was excellent, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The spa was also fantastic. A special thanks to Tamas for going out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful stay!! Can't wait to return.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! I was there with my wife to celebrate our 2 years anniversary and they upgraded our room for free from a standard room to a junior suite! The breakfast is absolutely astonishing and every time we ate there I wished I had a bigger stomach because they have more delicious things than you can taste! Hands down the best hotel I ever was in!

At its heart, this is a large, anonymous chain hotel tailored to conventions, corporate events and tour groups. The branding and folklore portray an opulence which simply doesn't exist in reality. This is still a very good hotel in many ways, but it's too big and impersonal to achieve the luxury suggested by the marketing or price. Expect to queue for reception every time, and to never be alone when using any of the facilities. The Deluxe Double rooms are weirdly designed, with nowhere for two people to dine (another sign that this is a business hotel, not a luxury one) and a desk which stretches into the open-plan bathroom. The attached photos show it best. Sleep quality was superb though: the bedding, a/c and blackout all worked without compromise. Noise is an issue as passersby in the corridor are easy to hear. As other reviewers have mentioned, the surcharge for city view rooms is a bad idea, because the street is not attractive and very loud. We still reminisce about breakfast in New York Cafe. Full of interesting Hungarian delicacies and staffed by the most attentive, witty, professional team I've ever seen. Every option is delivered with flair. That's the only aspect of this hotel which lives up to its own hype. The spa and fitness room are dimensioned to cater for a hotel this large and all equipment was in perfect working order. The fitness room has no changing/shower facilities, so you can't avoid walking through the grand atrium and past function rooms in gym gear. This is a similar oversight in the spa, which does have a tiny changing room, but with communal showers and no toiletries, so you're likely to find yourself passing through the crowded and draughty reception wearing a bathrobe.

A beautiful hotel with very caring staff. I was treated incredibly well at reception, at breakfast, by the staff at the entrance and the housekeeping did a wonderful job. I had a number of requests during my stay and the staff were able to accommodate all of them. I would like to especially highlight the help I received from Jennifer, who helped with a room change, recommendations and locating a lost article. She was very professional, helpful and understanding.
