Simply amazing room and phenomenal customer service! We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were warmly greeted by Tamas. He checked us in quickly, made a point to recognize our Hilton status, and informed us of our awesome upgraded room. He arranged to park our car and have our small amount of luggage brought to the room. The exceptional check in experience set the tone for the rest of our weekend stay. We were greeted by our name each time we interacted with the staff from then on. The breakfast was very good, with an omelet station as a plus. The executive lounge is currently located just off the main restaurant, but is still nicely stocked and secluded. Again, the staff there were all very friendly and willing to help with anything at all. The view of the Bastion and Parliament from our room was stunning! I have stayed at Hilton properties across the world, and the customer service we experienced at this hotel is unmatched! We will definitely be back to this beautiful city, and the Hilton Budapest will be the only place I consider staying. Well done team!

Charging full night cost for late check out without prior notice. Doesn't pay attention to customer's feedback. In addition to the extra charges, housekeeping didn't show up to clean. Complimentary water is only for the first day. Not recommended.

Amazing location, superb service, great food. This is one of the best hotels I have been for a while. The location is excellent. While you eat your breakfast, you can admire the fisherman castle right in front of you. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and designed with a style. Food is perfect. Great breakfast and even better lunch and dinner. High-quality food and super tasty. For business, they offer huge conference area and a lot of smaller meeting rooms. Highly recommended if you are able to pay some extra euros.

Wow wow wow, what a beautiful view of the Castle and Parliament building. Our room was perfect as were the staff. We enjoyed this location as we also stayed on the other side of the river to enjoy that side too. If you have a chance to stay at this hotel, don't hesitate, but you will need to take a taxi when you want to do most things, which are on the other side of the river. There are restaurants nearby and the beautiful castle is not to be missed...a photo moment.

I love this place! One of the Hilton hotel wish lists that I've always wanted to visit. There is more than just a hotel. I'm sure the best hotel in Budapest. The staff was very pleasant and friendly (though a little slow) and it was a hotel that was renovated from a very old and classic wine cellar a long time ago, so there are traces of old everywhere and it means a very unique experience. You can enjoy the whole day watching "the famous" view of the National parliament building from the room. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, and if you have a Hilton tier, you can enjoy Hungarian champagne at breakfast! I drink three glasses in the morning. I used Happy Hour in the lounge, and I hope there are more food. The liquor selection is a decent level. If you come to Budapest, I surely recommend this place.

if you enjoy bars and clubs, this hotel might not suits you. Quiet surroundings, classy restaurants are nearby. After dinner you could enjoy breathtaking view before sleep. Comparing to other wetern European hotels, facilities are quite new and rooms are spacious.

The view of the Danube river from the room was majestic and the view of Fisherman’s Bastion was breathtaking. The windows were designed to look like a frame from an art painting. It was so good! The breakfast area also had great views

This property is incredible, my room view face the Danube river and Parliament building. Most beautiful at night. The Buda Castle and buildings were all walkable distance. So beautiful. The Hotel is built into remnants of the old castle. Incredible design.

The location is superb in the heart of Castle district. The rooms are very nice, especially the ones with the Danube view. The actual problem with the hotel is the service. Some of the staff are totally unwelcoming and not suitable for the tourist industry. I asked some tissue replacement and after half an hour an unsmiling lady gave it to me in a manner that I felt she was doing me a really great favour! Totally below Hilton standards! On the contrary, the breakfast staff are really nice!

This has to be one of the most elegant hotels in which we have ever stayed, both inside and out. There’s so much to explore. The location is terrific. It’s an easy walk to major tourist attractions, brilliant lookouts, shops, restaurants and the bus stop. We stayed on three separate occasions and each time I received excellent recognition as a Hilton Honors Diamond member including generous room upgrades, Executive Lounge access, welcome gifts and full buffet breakfast for two in the restaurant. First off we were given a King Executive room, which was very comfortably furnished, with stunning views of the Danube River, Parliament building and Fisherman's Bastion. The large bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower. On our return visits we were upgraded to a Danube River Suit which was absolutely gorgeous, with comfy sofas, a table and chairs, and heaps of storage space. The panoramic views were once again magnificent. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub and a heated towel rack. The Club Lounge was very comfortable with good views and a very nice choice of all day snacks. In the evening there was a yummy selection of hot and cold canapes (including soup) which changed nightly. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, with a great variety of hot and cold items as well as an egg station and a fine selection of fruit, cereals and bakery items. Although they were very busy, food was replenished regularly. All members of staff we met, from front of house to wait staff in the restaurant and Executive Lounge, were exemplary, being friendly, helpful and professional. Pre Stay emails were answered promptly and all requests were granted. It has become our new favourite Hilton.

Wonderful location, staff, and hotel! The hotel is beautifully updated with clean, comfortable, and modern rooms. The views on the city-facing sides are incredible. Staff was very attentive and both the breakfast and the happy hour in the executive lounge were great. We will definitely be back!

Here is my experience with Hilton Prague old town 1. Room is clean and river view is fantastic. 2. Executive lounge: provides different main dish & soup every night which is great and staffs are friendly & helpful 3. I have breakfast at hotel restaurant for 3 days. Coffee could be better. 4. Rooftop Restaurant service is great - drink & service.

This is a beautiful hotel located in a wonderful part of the city with simply stunning views. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were wonderfully presented. We also made use of the executive lounge which felt like a peaceful retreat after a busy day sightseeing. We would love to return to Budapest and in particular this Hilton in the future.

Just beautiful. Spent one night in transit here. I fully recommend it. Fantastic place. Great location. Great rooms and very clean, stuff always eager to help you. Executive Lounge and the breakfast were memorable. Worth every star. Great job to the management and people working there. Now in Christmas time you get a lot of Christmas places and fare arround. For sure we will come back.

Great view and setting. Main menu wasn’t too big, but anything we ordered was well cooked and presented. Breakfast was slightly better in comparison to other Hilton’s I’ve stayed in. The concierge(s) I dealt with were fantastic. The room was spacious, well laid out, modern looking and clean. A great place to base yourself when exploring this amazing city. You’ll need to enjoy waking and have a degree of fitness as it’s a good 15-20 minute walk to get from the Buda based hotel across the bridge to the Pest side.

UPDATE: Management has resolved our issue and made it right. Once they were informed of the issue they acted swiftly and courteous. The Concierge staff is rude and not friendly to foreign tourist. The one I had an experience with was combative with me in the main lobby and was raising his voice causing attention to the situation. Beware of concierge, they put charges on your room without authorization or your knowledge until we were on our way out the door. I am currently battling to have them remove the $240.56 off my bill thru Hilton. Drinks are $15-20USD per drink in the bar off the lobby as well as their splendid rooftop bar. Only issue we had with the roof top bar is that guests staying in the hotel do not get preferential treatment and it was completely booked during our stay, I realize it's a "hot spot" but feel they need to leave a 10% of tables for the actual hotel guest. We were able to sit on the sofa not at the railing during daylight hours which isn't the primo time, night time is the most opulent time. Room we had did have am amazing view of Castle Hill, the Danube, and Parliament House. The complimentary breakfast provided for Diamond and Gold members was excellent. Wait staff was courteous and accommodating. The location is on top of Castle Hill so while it had a great view most the things you want to tour is down the hill and across the Danube. The capital hill area is completely walkable but can easily be seen in a day.

Absolutely stunning location, it may seem far away but really is up the hill and is in a fascinating location in the castle district. We loved it! Definitely one of the best Hiltons we have lived at around the world. The only complaint I have is that the staff at the reception are not super friendly. Training in hospitality is probably required. Would highly recommend this hotel over any in Budapest. Buda castle district is mesmerizing.

A bit far from all the good restaurants and shops. Staffs are helpful and nice. The services are great! Rooms are spacious, have tub and shower. So much better than the one in Barcelona.

Spending the holidays at the Hilton Budapest was wonderful. Right outside our hotel was the Christmas market. We were able to attend mass at the cathedral next to the hotel on Christmas Day listening to the glorious organ. Our view from our room was high on a cliff overlooking Buda and the lights of Parliament were spectacular. We would definitely stay again.

I always choose Hilton in whatever city I am in, as I am sure that I will feel comfortable and get the service I am used to. But this time I can't call my experience with Hilton 100% positive. I stayed there from November 9 to 14th. The guy at the front desk and stuff was friendly, the gym looks amazing and the food in the restaurant wasn't bad either... but the internet in the room was just disgusting, also my view was on a construction site and it was a bit noisy during the day.On the first day at the restaurant, they mixed up my order and brought chicken soup instead of goulash. Of course they replaced the dish when I told them about it, but again I had to wait for them to prepare my order. I was very hungry after the flight. I paid for breakfast at the hotel since I am used to eating oatmeal at the hotel in the morning. Having a usual meal helps me to be less stressed when traveling. I think a lot of people know what I mean. I was surprised that they only offer two options for breakfast - semolina and flavorless lactose-free oatmeal on water. The first day I chose the semolina , but the next day I decided to politely ask the cook if he could make me some regular milk oatmeal. This guy was really annoyed that I talked to him. He rudely told me there was a pot of oatmeal behind me. I politely reiterated that I wanted oatmeal with regular milk, but the guy rudely told me that there was milk behind me and I could find cereal and make my own oatmeal if I really want.He obviously didn't want to talk to me and did everything so that I would leave him alone as soon as possible. I felt very uncomfortable and just walked away. If he had just told me he couldn't do that for me and smiled, I would have been fine. But he acted rude and ruined my mood. I don't think I will go back to the Hilton in Budapest again.

This is one of the best Hilton properties in the world. Pick this location for the views, the amenities, professionalism, and luxury stay. I highly recommend the Hilton of Budapest. The experience was positive such that I would like to plan another trip to revisit Budapest, Hungary just to stay here.

Stunning location. Impeccable service. Beautiful room. This was the best Hilton stay I’ve ever had Andy redeemed a past poor experience with the brand (at another location). Wouldn’t hesitate to boom again! We were upgraded to the King Corner suite room 121 and the view was over the top amazing!

We had a great experience staying here.. Great Location - Just walking distance to castle district, funicular, fisherman bastion and lots of tourist destination - Supermarket just 200m to the left and lots of eateries. Starbucks coffee are located just behind this hotel - Theres amazing souvenir stores just behind this hotel and they provide lots of budapest wine selections with good ranges of price Amazing view from the rooms. i got room overlooking danube river and had amazing view of sunrise Breakfast with lots of choices (ready at 6.30 am). And they provide free coffee & pastries if you want to have morning walk before having breakfast. Highly Recommended!

My recent stay at the Budapest Hilton was an experience I’ll fondly remember. The highlight was undoubtedly the upgrade to an executive room with a stunning view of the Danube River. Waking up to the sight of the Halászbástya and the Parliament building on the opposite riverbank was simply mesmerizing. The room’s grandeur was matched by its comfort. The bed was exceptionally large and provided the utmost comfort, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. It felt like sleeping on a cloud, with the added luxury of a world-class view right from the window. The staff at Budapest Hilton deserve special mention for their outstanding service. They were not just helpful and professional but also genuinely friendly, making me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Their attentive service significantly enhanced the quality of my stay. Dining was another delightful experience, with the breakfast being a true culinary delight. The room service breakfast was not only convenient but also delicious, offering a wide range of options to suit every palate. It was the perfect start to a day of exploring the city. Overall, my stay at the Budapest Hilton was exceptional. The combination of the luxurious room, the breathtaking views, the friendly staff, and the delicious breakfast made it a truly 5-star experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a blend of luxury, comfort, and warmth in the heart of Budapest.

For the Americans who visit- Not great service for a Hilton. Went to the restaurant and did the wine tasting here. The food was expensive for American standards. ($22.00 hamburger) and very, very, very poor quality. The order wasn't as ordered and it was inedible. They did not replace it and only gave us the water for free as an apology. Yes, the water, which was actually quite expensive itself. The wine tasting - it's in an ancient wine cellar (at the latest, the year ~1250). Really cool surroundings, but the croissants were just over cooked grands biscuits. Seriously. The wine itself was sub par. If you're looking to stay, I recommend the hotel at the bottom of the hill named after spring summer, fall and winter. That place was gorgeous and great service and much better wine.

Beautiful hotel built incorporating the remnants of a 13th century monastery. Very comfortable rooms with enough drawer/closet space for a longer stay. Excellent food.

Absolutely enjoyed my two-night stay at Hilton Budapest in October. The room boasted a spectacular view, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Despite not pre-booking parking, the accommodating staff ensured a seamless experience. Although I had to park on the street the first night, they helped validate my parking sticker and moved the car to their garage the next day. A pro tip for future guests: Reserve parking in advance as the garage tends to fill up quickly. With the best view in Budapest, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel! Plus, the breakfast was fantastic.

The hotel is located in the old town, but has the best spot for the view (need to face the river). Can see the whole view of the Pest side from the room, even better during the evening. They have a variety of buffet options for breakfast.

Such a beautiful hotel, the rooms were spacious and clean, front desk and bell service staff very nice. Amazing views from the room and rooftop. So many options for dining around the hotel and close walking distance from the main attractions.

We traveled as a family and had 3 rooms in total. As HH Gold Members two rooms received an upgrade of which only one is mentionable. The second upgrade was a joke, the room was no different to the third room. No Executive Lounge Access anymore, last time we were at that hotel, we had access . A staff member explained that only diamond members would get one now. Other peoples experience tell a different story whatsoever. Disappointing. Our room(which was a beautiful corner suite with a stunning view!) welcomed us with a cockroach in our sink unfortunately. I flushed it down and complained at the reception. The answer of the head of reception was: "What do you expect us to do?". Okay. Thanks for that. After asking again after 24h, how my complaint is being handled, I received a bottle of wine. Ridiculous. Overall the staff (reception, housekeeping, restaurant) is unbelievably rude and unwelcoming, which unfortunately lead me to a 2* rating. We traveled many Hilton Hotels, never left one without a 5* Rating, so that's a first. The only friendly person was the guest relations manager. She was very kind and welcoming. The location is beautiful and the rooms are, too, especially the ones with nice view over the city. Unfortunately, that can't make up for the rudeness of the staff. I have to say, that I would not recommend staying there anymore. (It was our second or third stay at that particular hotel, but probably our last).

Every aspect of the Hilton Budapest experience was fantastic. The website provided a seamless reservation process and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel special - truly superb customer service! The hotel and the rooms are beautiful, and the location is excellent. The evening happy hour and the morning breakfast set the hotel a part from others in the area. Overall, I could not be more pleased - we look forward to our next stay in Budapest soon! Also, an added benefit is that the hotel is dog friendly!

Beautiful property next to the Fisherman's Bastion and St. Mathias church. The property itself offers great view of the Pest side. The staff are attentive, I would love to see more smiling, relaxed faces though. :) There's restaurants within walking distance from the property. I definitely recommend Hilton if you are in Budapest.

  • 1/5 Tímea R. 2 years ago on Google
My rating is not even one star I will tell you why. I was not a guest of the hotel, I was just a walk-in. I have always heard that Hilton is prestigious hotel which cares for its visitors. I had an emergency. I had to use a restroom, it was really urgent. I went in and I asked a staff member if I could use their restrooms in the lobby. He was very impolite, sent me out of the hotel and told me that I should find the public restroom in the castle, by fisherman's bastion. I begged him, I even cried it was so urgent, but he did not even blink as he showed me to the door. In the end I had an accident and I had to use my friend's coat as a shield to hide my stain of shame. I know that I was not a guest of the hotel. I know that I did not pay the big money to be there. But using the restroom is a basic human right and I was in dire need of help. I will make sure that whenever I am travelling abroad I will pick a different, more humane hotel. I am asking the management to review this situation and give me a fair feedback.

Just one word: PERFECT 👏 Location is top notch. You have some of Budapests top attractions right in front and around the corner. Incredible views over the city. Rooms are spacious and in top condition. Bed is Hilton like = perfect! Nice, big bathroom with walkin shower and bath tub. Staff and service perfect and friendly. Parking right below, but pretty expensive!

Really appreaciate Tamas at the guest relation for making the effort to select a great room for us! Impeccable service of him! Would have given five stars if it’s not the breakfast. I’m writing this review as I’m waiting for my omelette at the egg station - have been waiting 20 minutes in line just to get an omelette. And in front of me there are just fewer than 5 people. I don’t get this. Can you not prepare this in advance? This is the slowest egg station in a hotel I have stayed. My morning time is really precious and I don’t wanna spend half an hour for an egg.

We held our company’s annual kick off at Hilton Budapest in February 2022 and it turned out to be a great decision! We stayed here for almost a week - the hotel and its rooms were clean and pleasant, breakfast and lunch were tasty with a great selection of dishes. Hotel’s staff were extremely nice, smiley and helpful! The hotel is located in a beautiful area of the old city, on top of the hill next to the main attractions. Rooms with river view have amazing view! Day and night! Highly recommend for business purposes and for pleasure purposes for a night or two to explore and enjoy this side of the city.

We were booked into the Hilton by Viking River Cruises as part of an end of cruise extension. Our room had a magnificent view out from castle hill, looking down towards the river and across the Pest side of the city with the Parliament Building in full view👍 The room had all the facilities you would expect of a top class hotel, including a great shower. Breakfast was included (good selection) and several great restaurants nearby which the hotel recommended and were able to book. The real big win with this hotel is the splendid location, and for the adventurous buy a Budapest public transport pass for all buses, trams and metro, available just outside the hotel. Highly recommended 👍😄

The location of the hotel is very nice, the rooms are fancy for that price. The service`s very good and they are very good English speakers. The only problem is the parking option, but for an extra fee, you can use their private parking garage.

Great hotel in a beautiful area of the city. Close to tourist attractions and buildings. The rooms are clean with fresh linens. The hotel staff is superb. Always willing to help with a smile and will make everything possible to make your stay the best experience. Some rooms have views to the river and some don’t. The rooms are nice but is you want a view you need to request that at the front desk. Breakfast has plenty of options to suit your needs with fresh fruits as well. What can I said but the hotel and their staff makes you feel welcome.

My first time in Budapest I stayed on the Pest side so was nice to try out the Buda / castle district area. It’s very quiet / peaceful and you get amazing river & Parliament views from the hotel and area. The hotel is very well maintained (much nicer than some similar properties I’ve been to in the US) and has a good breakfast offering with clear allergen labeling

This is an excellent Hilton. The view is exceptional. Rooms are great. It's pretty hard to fault. Breakfast is a very good buffet. The view of the Danube and Fisherman's Bastion from there is really nice. Parking cheaper than outside on the street as far as I'm aware and very convenient Staff are great, only reason for the 4 star service is absence of 24 hour dining menu. The location is in great for relaxed sight seeing, and also convenient for business on Buda side.

Possibly a favourite Hilton. It’s right in the centre with some beautiful scenery around. Just take note it takes around 45 minutes to get from and to the airport. Staff are really helpful. The river view rooms are fantastic and the finish inside the rooms are great. Very cozy and comfortable beds. I’ll upload pictures to this review soon.

Great view and nice rooms, but unfortunately the rooms have poor noise insulation and you can hear people from the hallway. Got woken up several times through the night because of this. The breakfast and lounge was good, but there were very few local Hungarian things available. Late check out as Diamond member was only available until 2pm.

Excellent hotel, fast and efficient service. Good breakfast, mesmerizing view (in a room with a river view). Far from the city, but in my opinion a definite advantage, to stay in the most beautiful area of Budapest. Near the hotel there are excellent restaurants and a very fun atmosphere. It is highly recommended.
