perfect location. it close to airport and many amenities. room is big. wi-fi is fast. bathroom and toilet clean. bed is comfortable. breakfast should be better.

You hand over such a big hotel to 2 receptionists at the age of 20. They take care of people as they wish. There is no health personnel in the hotel anyway. They don't care when someone has a problem. If you come to Budapest, there are hotels in the center that offer both cheap and better quality services.. don't go to such bad hotels

Location is very convenient to public transport, including the metro. The blue metro line is a two minute walk from the hotel. We were downtown in 15 minutes. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with nice amenities. The staff was very helpful, especially Szabolcs. He was very helpful in providing information and arranging logistics. We will definitely return on our next stay.

A lot of people complain about the location but it's only 10/15mins from the airport with plenty of public transport options right on the doorstep to take you to city centre. There is also a shopping mall across the road with all food and clothing outlets as well as some restaurants/takeaways. You also have the option of Bolt for taxis and food deliveries. Clean and spacious hotel, friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast. Can't fault anything. I will be back. 👍👍

Ibis Budapest City South is a nice hotel where you can stay with the comfort of rooms with balcony and its location close to the city center and the airport in Budapest. Have fun!

Decent Ibis hotel halfway between the airport and the city centre (via metro), with plenty of shopping options available next door via the Shopmark shopping centre. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. Room was ok, bathroom had very recently been refurbished and the tubs seen in older photos had been replaced with a modern shower (much to my bemusement). Rest of the room was slightly older but still clean. The room did have a tendency to get hot so having the AC on at all times was a must. Some street noise at night but nothing that didn't let me sleep. TV had a mix of both local and cable channels (including some international ones) and Wifi worked great the whole stay. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, restaurant served amazing portions (albeit slightly pricier than local restaurants). Restaurant also had a terrace portion at the back (right next to a pretty community garden) but I never used it. Great place to stay on short trips and flight hops, not to mention much cheaper than the Ibis Styles on airport property. Recommended.

Although it was a last minute reservation and check in (as we got refused by other Ibis in the airport), the staff were kind and welcomed us. The checkin was smooth and we got a family room. The bathroom smelled a bit but was manageable. The breakfast was good. The staff helped calling taxi the next day. Thanks!

I had a lovely time staying there, very friendly team, especially Mira during breakfast time who would always greet me with a smile, make my stay memorable.

Practical location in between airport and city centre with metro access in few minutes walk. Rooms have very nice new shower that has great water pressure and temperature. Top service, and many thanks to the kind and professional General Manager who helped me out with transport despite roads that were flooded because of storm the night before!

I love how the hotel is so well located, everything is near: metroline, buses, there’s even a shopping centre almost next to the hotel. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the staff was very helpful and kind, and the breakfast was delicious. I totally see myself coming back, thank you!

Nice hotel conveniently located within a 1 minute walk to several buses, the subway, and a shopping mall. The subway goes directly to the Budapest square with several attractions. The receptionist talks perfect English and is very nice. Storage is available if you arrive early. 40 minute train/bus ride to and from the airport. Half of the rooms face a busy street that overlooks the bus station and subway. The other half faces trees with no view. WiFi has good coverage in the rooms and provide decent speed. Showers are hot with good water pressure. Air conditioning get fairly cold. Beds are reasonably soft. TV channels are very limited. Overall, a comfortable lodging experience.

The hotel is a classic ibis. A bit older building but well remodeled. Shoutout to the night crew from the 11.12-12.12.2023 who proactively offered a late check in because he could see how tired and exhausted I was. Absolutely amazing service. Thank you so much.

I spent one night at this hotel in between two flights. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was nicely remodelled, but very tight. The breakfast was my only concern though, as most of it was gone by 9:30 am and nothing got replenished. The eggs were cold and the only remaining bun was dry. The fruit was also gone and staff was walking by oblivious to it.

Hotel was nice, the rooms seemed renovated, however the bathroom needs an upgrade. The cleaning in the bathroom was not very good. But overall good value for money

I made a reservation at a non-refundable rate, but it's too inevitable, and I still have a month left to travel, so if you don't overdo the hotel, I'd appreciate it if you could cancel the reservation without a fee. Great little hotel for a 3 night stay. I was here for the F1 from London, and it’s location to the track, city, metro and local shops was perfect. Rooms are a bit dated, but overall it was spot on. Cute smile from FOH receptionist ;)

I would recommend this highly. Great Hotel, Spacious rooms, Almost midway from airport and the City. Its little bit far from City Center but connectivity is good.. metro/ bus stop is infront of the Hotel. A shopping mall is also there at walking distance of 300-400meters and has supermarket as well.

I have been to ibis in multiple cities. So far this is the best. Rooms are compertively large, clean and has a Balcony. Staffs are cordial. So far a nice staying experience. The bus and trum stops are infront of hotel. There is also car and bus parking facility on payment.

This hotel and people who works there have absolutely NO STANDARDS. When i was booking room i had an information that i am booking a FAMILY ROOM, but when i recieved the confirmation it said that i have 2 rooms. So i was trying to contact hotel to solve it. We came with 2 kids by night, i was trying to call to the hotel for about 5 hours! 5 hours No one picked up the phone, No one anserw my e-mail. When i Asked man at the desk he told me that „ phones are off and he sees No problem” It is a joke, to treat customers like this. I had to change hotel in the middle of the night. By the way the hotel is totally dirty, it stinks, there are flyes everywhere. Do not choose this one.

Not as good as in photos, breakfast food it doesnt have any quality, and i found an insect on food as well, rooms smell bad and in the whole place especially in afternoons and evenings its full of insects. Not the best choice!

Very noisy area , lots of buses passing through , staff not speaking english very well , noisy other guests . Watch out PARKING IT IS NOT FREE . Breakfast is 6/10 plenty of food but low quality , would not recommend and will never stop there again

Fairly basic facilities but good for the price. Hotel clean, staff were friendly and a good range of breakfast choices. Well worth the price & all forms of travel right outside the door. Perfect choice from the airport.

Very friendly staff at the reception, the rooms are much better that I thought. Very clean. The breakfast is quite nice because you will find everything you need including Hungarian salami and various drinks but the most important thing is that they have normal coffee, not Nescafé. Will do the job if it's a short stay in Budapest.

It is a bit far from the highway so no easy to find. However, we stay late August in this hotel. The rooms are decently furnished and clean but there is no mini bar in the hotel and the food in breakfast room could be improved. Location is central and parking space is available.

Bigger hotel with nice personnel in good location (near to a shopping mall, bus station and metro station). Room was clean, bathroom also. Breakfast is good, big choice. Only one negative thing at breakfast is the diluted juice.

The hotel, with its best years, is over. Rooms in accordance with the Ibis standard, but the furniture is badly worn. bathroom of medium cleanliness. Breakfast with a small choice of dishes and quite monotonous. expensive parking lot.

Everything was as good as expected. It was not expensive. Only bad thing was that the wifi didn't work. It was Christmas and they couldn't fix it. Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful

Very good service (the bar), the rooms are warm and appropriate. It is located in a place from where much of Budapest could be reached relatively quickly by public transport.
