It is pretty simple for a Marriott but the location is great and it’s clean. Even though we have platinum status, breakfast was not included. There is also no lounge available at this hotel. Some toiletries such as shampoo conditioner and soap available. No Q-tips cotton balls shower cap, etc. Nice lobby and nice hotel bar. Rooms are very spacious. Beds and pillows nice and comfortable.

Location is good for the price, right next to metro But the service is poor. As a Platinum Elite member 1) I was not upgraded (despite booking more than a month for them to make any necessary adjustments to my booking) 2) My room was not cleaned on daily basis despite asking them to do so 3) Housekeeping is beyond bad - they don’t replace anything until you keep asking for it. This happens only in hostel! This is few days in a row- not one day. 4) No remedial actions The only good thing is concierge can book common things but not anything you expect them to do extra mile You just pay to stay and get out of the place that’s all - don’t expect anything else; it’s like a hostel of Marriott services If you’ve chosen this anyway just take it as a hostel bed to stay at without much services

Great location and rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast spread is excellent and very sumptuous. Standard toiletries are missing but you can get it on request. Reception boys are little slower but girls are extremely fast 🙂. Overall nice ambience, reasonably priced and spacious accomodation at a superb location. Public transport, local shops etc are very accessible.

Breakfast was mediocre (selection) The staff couldn’t give us a room for just 1-2h of a meeting. For the price we paid, it’s a shame. And no proper place to work in lobby…Have experienced different service in other courtyards.

Room was pleasantly spacious. Linens were clean, white and smelled fresh. Towels were provided adequately. Good location. Centralised and surrounded with restaurants, Cafes. Basic amenities for your stay is provided eg. Shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer and if your require something else, they have a mini mart downstairs where you can buy stuff or jist aks housekeeping if they have what you might need. Friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast selection was good. Fair balance of hot and cold choices. Definitely recommending this hotel if you wish to stay in the city and explore Budapest.

Right next to the tram / bus stations, staff absolutely great, Peter and Veronica at the desk, Zita managing the breakfast area, we even once were late and she got us some food although the kitchen was closed, she said we take care of our guests… smooth check in and check out, highly recommended !

This is right in the Pest city center- has some "features" of a US city center (homeless looking people, blowing garbage), and less of what I expect in a European city. Great public transportation right outside by trams. Rooms are fine, clean, good bathrooms. But the bar and restaurant are overpriced, and try to oversell. The hotel breakfast is a rip-off. Avoid, just walk outside, a great cafe next door, bars and restaurants up and down the street. I will not be going back if I ever visit this city again.

We stayed overnight prior to getting on a Titan river cruise leaving from Budapest the following afternoon. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was clean, tidy & well equipped. Bathroom & shower were excellent. Breakfast was really nice but pricey at around 20 euros. Ours was included in the trip but you could have a continental breakfast much cheaper. Hotel is in a great central location in the city with good transport links. Budapest is a "safe" city with wonderful architecture & great places to eat, drink & explore.

a very nice hotel with a very good location near the city centre. the room was quite big with enough space to move around, the bathroom was clean and also bigger than in other hotels. breakfast was also lovely, nothing bad about it. Next time I go to Budapest, I will be considering this hotel again for sure.

Great location and value for the price. Friendly staff members too, however English is definitely limited to the younger generation here as I found it difficult to communicate with housekeeping. Budapest is gorgeous and this CY is right on one of the main Metro lines for easy and fast transit options. The city is going through some growing pains and construction and renovation projects are all over the place and unavoidable. Seeing historic buildings preserved and mixed in with new modern construction will ensure a successful transition. Overall I would recommend this Courtyard (Marriott) location for your next stay.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! Close to metro rail and tram station, this hotel is very well located near the City Centre. The staff are friendly. Clean rooms and a very very good breakfast.

Very good location, convenient transportation, good service. Sometimes the housekeeping forgets about the services. But it is definitely a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Great hotel! Room was great and much larger than we needed. Restocked water every day, although it was only 1 bottle. Great breakfast options. Good location to the metro, tram, and many restaurants and bars. Absolutely recommend!

Good spot in town and large rooms for euro standards. Friendly front desk with a good convenience store selection and restaurants in and near hotel.

What a great hotel! I wasn't sure what to expect as I had to book pretty last minute, and sometimes Courtyard properties are a bit more basic versus their Marriott hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised with how nice this property was. I stayed here the first week of September, and had a fantastic stay! The location is great, right on a tram line and near a metro station. And a short walk away are plenty of restaurants and bars too. One of the main highlights was the staff. From check-in, room service, housekeeping, and the bartender, all interactions were top notch and everyone seemed to go the extra mile to provide thorough and efficient service. Zsuzsanna at the bar/room service was great. Provided good wine reccomendations, as well as promptly sending up room service when I was in a rush to head out. The front desk staff were also great at providing directions and other assistance too. The rooms themselves are quite spacious, clean, and the bed is very comfy. The bathroom was also perfect, with a large shower and plenty of space. For spending three nights in Budapest, this was the perfect set up. Also, the air conditioning works really well, which is not always a guarantee in Europe, so this is great for summer travellers! Didn't get a chance to use the sauna, but the gym on the top floor is equipped with a treadmill, elliptical, and a full range of free weights. Not a space for much more than a couple people, but was always free when I went up, so it was nice to get a few workouts in. Overall a great stay, would definitely recommend!

Great place to stay in Budapest. Friendly staff, clean hotel throughout and spacious room with great view over a bustling transport hub. Great transport link. Breakfast had good choices but it was a bit crowded and very busy at peak time. If you are sensitive for noise make sure you ask for a quiet room as the one facing the square is a bit noisy. (We personaly loved looking through the windows and stare the buses and trams passing by) I would certainly stay here again if price remain such a good value.

The perfect hotel to use as your base in Budapest. My room has an excellent balcony overlooking the city. The staff is uber friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Rooms are spartan like a typical courtyard. The service was good. The english breakfast (included in our rate) was generally good. The off the menu items (drinks and food) were over-priced relative to quality and nearby restaurants . We ate at the restaurant a few times and had drinks at the bar a few times. There are no ice machines on the guest room floors; have to come get ice from the bar. There is a hotpot and a fridge in the rooms. No microwave. The location is convenient to two metros, which made getting around easy. On the other hand, good restaurants around the hotel are sparse. There is also a small department store (Mueller) next door (basement) which carries basic necessities as well as a small selection of beer, wine, and liquor. A LIDL is across the street.

Well connected to the city center and nightlife. Good Sauna and steambath, nice breakfast. Big rooms and very comfortable

The employees here are very nice and helpful. Definitely very efficient as well. The lobby is comfortable and clean, great coffee machines, bar, and restaurant. The elevators are quite small but very nice. The rooms are nice and clean - just slightly worn. They’re VERY hot, and we had the heat off and the room open as much as it would open. Very loud street below, but understandable for the location. Breakfast is AWESOME- food is great quality, varied selection, and even had an omelette station. Not terribly close to “the hits”, but the train is very good, or a Bolt is like $8 on average to the big attractions.

The hotel is nice. What made our stay exceptional was the staff. Sofia, our bartender was very informative and gave us great tips about the city. She also made great drinks! The room itself was clean and comfortable. I would recommend staying here.

Fine for anything and the hotel is good for short stay and if consider it’s price the furniture will be fine for me. On the other hand, the service quality is quite good. Because even if I got here on midnight they still pay patent for me.

The room was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft! If I would recommend the place to everyone. It doesn't matter if for one night or more 😊

Great location, excellent staff and services! Greeting Mr. Franciscy (GM), In general, people are quick to complain, but I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation and start your day with a praise and a feedback on my recent stay/experience with Courtyard Budapest City Center, Hungary, and to sum it all up, your team member was all exceptional professional, kind and courteous and did not disappointed me in anyway. I must share with you my feedback and experience I had had during my recent trip, as I was incredibly pleased with your team’s commitment to highest quality services. The Friday and Saturday evening in the Lobby Lounge, as we had truly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere with all the friendliest staff and services, I had ever encountered. I had enjoyed all the friendly conversations, particularly recommendations of their favorite local places to visit and restaurants. As well, I had observed of their engagement with all other customers in the same consistent friendly manner, and they all appeared to enjoy their times and visit the Lobby Lounge staff. Overall, I would like to compliment your entire staff for being so professional. With always wonderful smile on their faces, they have been really very impressive in their service. And of course, I would like to visit your hotel again in the near future for this outstanding experience. Mr. Franciscy, I truly understand of your important role within your organization, but I must let you know of your team effort, and it is such people in the organization as mentioned above, who have helped with making your Company great, and if I may say that they are all a true credit to your hotel and fully epitomizes what a true 5-Star Service is all about. Thank you all for all the wonderful and beautiful memories! Sincerely, Augustine N.

The front desk team need to go for customer service training/etiquette. They were talking amongst themselves and pretended that I wasnt there. One even told me to go to another counter (to a trainee). The trainees were good. Not a good experience. I would spend a little more and stay in Marriott Budapest next time. I’ve booked a room with city view but given a courtyard room! Basic room but clean! The service at the restaurant was good! The lady know what she was doing. I would not stay at Courtyard Budapest! not Bonvoy standard!

A decent hotel in a good location. The rooms are spacious and clean but definitely not a four star hotel. There are no slippers in rooms which is very inconvenient. The breakfast on the other hand is amazing with great variety of local delicacies.

Conveniently located hotel. Rooms are modern and spacious. Bathroom felt small and shower water pressure was very low. Breakfast buffet was great as typical of Courtyard marriott hotels. Gym is very tiny, barely big enough for 3 people. However, they have a sauna and steam room. Great value for money. If you're choosing between this one and another more expensive hotel which promises luxury, take this one. I stayed here one night then moved to W, which 4 times the nightly rate, but in hindsight I should have stayed here.

Location was good, we liked our room since it was large and we had balcony. But staff was cold and that’s not the way to work in hospitality business. Except that we enjoyed:)

Decent hotel in the middle of Budapest. Within easy walking distance of the Danube, Budapest Castle and other historic points of interest. Morning breakfast is ok with several options. Be aware that breakfast may come with your room rate or it might be extra.

A fantastic hotel for a reasonable price. A room with a balcony actually comes with a whole terrace. The staff is extremely courteous & helpful. The subway station near the hotel is somewhat shady with all sorts of characters hanging out there at night, BuT it’s also right in the middle of everything, which is great for exploring the city for the first time.

Our room at the Marriott in Budapest was one of the most comfortable we've ever experienced. The fact that it was just five minutes away from the main railway station was a major factor in my decision to stay in this area. This hotel is also located in close proximity to the line for the hop-on hop-off tour, and we were at stop number 11. Which is the well-known New York Café This hotel provides outstanding service to its guests. There is a cafe around the corner, where you can get your morning coffee, and breakfast bites so conveniently. McDonald's is also on the other side of the road. This hotel is near public transportation. Strongly suggested as an option to stay when in Budapest.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be let down. Conveniently located a few feet from tram and subway stations. Treated well by the staff. Rooms clean and well kept. Beds comfortable for a good night's sleep.

  • 4/5 Juuso L. 1 year ago on Google
Solid Marriott quality in a very good location in the center of Budapest. The metro and tram is very close to the hotel, so it's easy to get around town. Rooms are fairly new, clean and quiet. Good sound proofing from outside, which is needed as there's a lot of traffic and a building site of a square. Breakfast was quite expensive if bought on the day and is quite average, so I'd recommend venturing out to one of the many shops and restaurants for better value.

My stay was nice and staff was ok..A few things to highlight though...there is no luggage drop service to your room. You have to carry your luggage yourself which is quite surprising considering that we were travelling as a family and had lots of luggage. No one from the hotel offered to help. Another thing is there is no room services for food ordered so you have to go downstairs and carry the food to your room.

It is a good, clean and tidy hotel. Location is also good. Clubs and other facilities are situated nearby. The only thing what is missing, is that some of the employees from the reception could be more welcoming.

A little over 10 mins walk from airport shuttle bus. Quite easy to find. Staff were efficient but a bit cool. Room is quite spacious and clean, air-con is a bit weak though.

Location is the best of this place. Hotel is clean and has comfortable rooms also. Breakfast is very tasty and staff there is extremely friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Walking distance to many shops and dining options. Clean rooms and a fitness center that could use a little renovation. With the steam room was in operation but slept well in quiet rooms and fit our needs well. Restaurant in hotel has good food and a bar in the lobby for a convenient drink.

  • 4/5 Havi H. 1 year ago on Google
Brand new hotel spacious and well cleaned. Staff could be more friendly and a smile would help when customers approach front desk personnel. Breakfast had variations of fruits and bakery items and coffee was fresh and tasty. Location is great but rooms are a little noisy if facing plaza and the street.

If you're from the US and you see Marriott Courtyard, you probably immediately think, nice, simple, clean - a "safe" choice. Overseas, these types of chains tend to operate at a higher level. The Courtyard by Marriott in Budapest is a great example. This elegant establishment far exceeds the US Courtyard experience. Excellent service, spotless rooms, a location in walking distance to everything, and a WONDERFUL breakfast make for an excellent experience. I highly recommend.

  • 5/5 Saif A. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing hotel. Marriott never lets you down and the staff at this hotel were amazing. Extremely professional and the rooms were very clean. I highly recommend this Courtyard

Stayed 3 nights, the hotel is at a great location, the staff is friendly and welcoming and the rooms are sufficiently spaced. I wanna shout out to Peter from front desk and Kata from the lobby bar, you guys were so friendly and nice to us. Kata was especially charming and shared with us the knowledge on Hungarian drinks as well.
