My recent stay at the hotel was marred by the absence of the iron in the evening and a rude receptionist. When I requested an iron, I was informed that it's only available in the morning as a paid service. To make matters worse, the receptionist's response was rather discourteous. He bluntly stated that they wouldn't buy an iron just for me, displaying a lack of hospitality. While the hotel was generally clean and comfortable, these two issues left me with a negative impression of my stay.

This hotel was a great find. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The staff are fantastic and so helpful. Would definitely recommend. Some new carpets would be good and start breakfast more early like 6 am would be perfect.

Very clean and spacious bedrooms with nice mattresses, great breakfast in a nice environment, very friendly and really kind staff everywhere. Convenient location in a quiet neighborhood and close to all means of transport. Perfect choice in Budapest, value for money with all these amenities. We booked directly with them, which made the process easier and we also had a discount. Thank you all for this great experience ☺️

Hidden gem. My room on the Sissi side was clean and spacious. The breakfast has a wide variety of breads, fruits, beverages, cheeses, and meats, plus scrambled eggs & cereals. It is a short walk to either the metro or tram lines, and an Aldi and several restaurants are within a two-block radius of the hotel. It's about a half hour walk to downtown. I would absolutely stay here again.

All excellent, despite no bar and half board only (breakfast good). Staff v. helpful, esp. Sandor at desk. Helped us find our way about city, transport info etc., showed us on map, his English also first-rate. Not a place to meet people, but friendly & comfortable all the same.

Budget hotels are hard to find, and this one has some nice historical touch plus a stunning open-air underground garage, rather rare in the centre of Budapest. The rooms are basic and simple for a 3star (which I like), clean and very well maintained. Inner courtyards are very typical of Budapest, this one is worth discovering. No obvious access for wheelchairs, but not impossible.

We had a 3 nights stay at the Corvin wing at this hotel. It was one of the cleanest i have ever been to. The personnel was very friendly and everybody is speaking English at this hotel. The accommodation looks amazing and the breakfast is very good , you also have options as a vegan and there is gluten free food as well. Their garage is extremely safe to park your car in and the location is great, pretty close to the city centre. I can say it is the best for its price. We have really enjoyed our stay!

Hotel is just okay for me, an old one but not so outdated. The cleanliness is okay, above average, no big issue but some hair and dust can be seen. The staff are okay as well to certain extent. The breakfast is good for me, lots of choices and tasty. The breakfast area with nice garden is good. The location is just okay, close to public transport but not so close to main attractions. However the area is quite and safe. I recommend this hotel.

Good position, nearby the subway, few minutes to reach the city center. Clean rooms (maybe just a bit old fashion) and kind staff; the continental breakfast is pretty varied. I consider it a good value for money hotel.

Beautiful hotel, located in a strategic position. Close to the underground line, also to Corvin Plaza shopping center. At the reception they were so kind and friendly. Good breakfast. Rooms clean and very large, it’s so good for families. We will choose this hotel if we’ll come back to Budapest.

Pros: Abt the hotel I don’t have much to say. For breakfast they had tasty food and the staff was really nice. And to be honest we were in worse hotels as well. The location was good as well 👍 Really easy transport and good shops Cons: It was really outdated. They still use keys instead of cards. The room looked like it wasn’t even properly cleaned. There were crumbs on the floor and between the bed we found some piece of trash. We were disappointed that there was no bath only shower. The shower was breaking down (pieces were falling off, and it was really small). There wasn’t much space where you could hang up coats. And the blanket we had on the bed wasn’t very comfortable (IT WASN’T COMFORTABLE AT ALL). TLDR: Bad rooms, good service, great location

Nice hotel in quite central Budapest. The area is quite and is well served by metro and tram. The hotel is clean and the staff is nice. Big breakfast too. The only drawback was the temperature in the whole hotel, very high. In our room we had to turn off all the heater and sleep with the open window to a have a human temperature. The first night was terrible, but except that all was OK

A very nice hotel in the middle of Budapest. A lot of bars and pubs in walking distance. Unfortunately the AC did not work in our room, but everything else was fine. Good breakfast.

The most unique thing about this hotel is the breakfast, as far as it concerns me. I mostly liked the milk substitutes. I am not sure if they had a toaster oven. I only missed lack of heavy cream (milk itself is not an option for me) . Usually prices are higher than same level hotels. Thus, I will book again if I will encounter a good opportunity.

Loud, very loud. Listen, everything is clean comfortable and fine HOWEVER all that is irrelevant if the hotel doesn't have sound proofing down. I knew that it was going to be a problem when I went to my floor and saw that it was not carpeted and the doors are lightweight. I was woken up everyday around 7am by everything, maid doing turn down, people speaking in the next room, doors closing, people walking up and down, flushing and anything dropping. Forget about even one moment of silence where you might be able to go get back to sleep because it's not happening.

This hotel was a great find. Rooms were immaculately clean, beds incredibly comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The staff are fantastic and so helpful. Would definitely recommend. Some new carpets would be good for when come back next time!

We stayed here 8months ago on the 7th May 2023, yet my boyfriend and I have not stopped talking about the exceptional experience, most especially with Domonkos Nagy. He greeted us as we arrived with friendliness and warmth, instantly giving us a positive perception of Budapest. Offered to assist with anything we needed during our stay. We loved that they listened to our request of preferring a high floor room (They even gave us a balcony!) and the room was nice and spacious. Thank you Domonkos! You made us fall in love with the hotel and Budapest. We will be back!😊

A very cosy little hotel in a great location. You can walk all the way to the centre if you want to. But if you don't like long walks, the transport accessibility is excellent. The staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is varied. We were very satisfied. Hopefully we will come back again. Thank you

Value for money hotel, I will recommend this place to anyone. It’s clean hotel, thank you for the upgraded room during our stay. Breakfast were great and we had a good brunch

The hotel was ok and the location for us was good. The room was clean. The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast, selfi service with lots of options. I just don't understand why it wasn't possible to get eggs on another way as never an issue anywhere you go.

Much good, changes needed Kind staff, so clean I had to leave window open to diffuse detergent smell, quiet, excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, good AC. Well away from tourist sites. Tiny plates for buffet were annoying as was smoking allowed on dining patio & cumbersome door locks. Was awakened each day at 5am due to inadequate light blocking drapes. Important to note that if I would've changed rooms to other floor, it would not have AC which is critical here. So losing sleep was the better option. Ugh...

Rooms are spacious, equipped with everything that's necessary. No amenities like shampoo, only soaps on the wall, but that was ok for me, as I had my own. Nice staff, very helpful. Clean rooms, even though not the newest. But cared for. Tasty breakfast buffet, nothing fancy, but offers variety. Located few tram stops from centre (I would highly recommend using public transportation, fast and comfortable way to get wherever you need to). Surrounded by few pubs and restaurants, also at least 2 grocery shops. Parking behind closed hotel gate. I would visit again.

Maybe best you can expect from 3 stars hotel. Quiet place but just around the corner of the main street, metro, supermarket and a shopping centre just 5 min walking. Clean nice room, good breakfast. On weekend we easily found a parking place at public parking on the same street.

Pleasant hotel in Budapest, good choice for a silent stay. There is a Corvin Neged metro station nearby and also Ferenc korut tram stop, so the superb connection with the whole centre of city. But the most is a healthy walk among Danube, river is only a few metres from hotel. Recommend :)

Very clean room, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Very good location (10-15mins walk to váci Street and town centre) and the breakfast was with good variety of dishes.

Good: The breakfast spread is very good, with some decent vegetarian options too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very close to the metro and bus stop. Bad: The shower was very cramped. The room was very hot. Even after we turned off the heating, the room remained too hot to sleep unless we also open the balcony door. And this was in March. No water kettle in the room.

Clean and comfortable room, near bus, metro and train stations. It is 2 km far away from the city centre. The only complaint is the fact that the wallets haven't been changed during our 4 nights stay.

Hotel Sissi was a great experience! Even the check in was at 14:00, we only waited 20 minutes to check-in at our room. The rooms were clean and modern. It fitted two persons well. They had very friendly staff, that actually could speak proper english. The breakfast was amazing and had a lot of different things to offer, so you won't get bored. The only negative thing I experienced was we had power shortage in our room, but it was fixed 10 minutes after. But after the shortage fix, 2 days later my laptop charger broke from the wallet socket. So now I need to buy a new laptop charger, because after I just put my charger in the wall and in my laptop it wouldn't charge. But otherwise I could definetly recommend this place!

I do recommend staying here, the room was bigger than I'd expected and very very clean, the staff is friendly and very helpful. It is close to a lot of tourist destinations and restaurants. They also offer parking for an extra fee.

I think its a very good hotel for a short stay. Its almost in the center, nice rooms. The breakfast could be a little bit better, but overall for the price its ok :)

Don’t stay at this hotel unless you’re an early bird. During my stay , there has been constant banging noise from 8 am to 10 pm, most likely from the cleaning staff and the very poor soundproofing between the rooms. The carpet was also very thin (and smelly) and had no padding, so you can hear people walking in the room above you (apparently whoever was above was a stumper) I don’t know if that was their normal rate or just this weekend, but I expected more after paying $200/night!

We were placed in old part of the hotel. Furniture in room is old but it's clean. Bed is comfortable, they put new, thick mattress. In the bathroom you will find a tub. Towels are included. Mini refridirater and aercondition also. Breacfast is fenomenal, there is something for everyone, bealive me! Location - 25min walk from the city centar. I would stay again in this hotel.

Beautiful little hotel. I have spent 7 nights in an apartment with small kitchen. All very clean. I liked the silky green wallpaper in my room, made me ask where they got it from 😀. Modern bathroom. I had all I needed in the apartment. They have a very generous breakfast buffet for everyones taste. Breakfast can be taken inside or out in the garden. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, bars, shops, and anyway in a quiet street, close to Corvin Square with connections to anywhere around Budapest, close Corvin Plaza, the big shopping mall. I ll be definitely book again next time when I am in Budapest and recommend it to my friends. I hope they keep the price.

The beds in the twin room we got in the sissi wing were extremely uncomfortable. They had a dent in them! My friend had to sleep on the floor and I was afraid to end up with strained back. It happened to me 4 months earlier because of a same uncomfortable bed with no support to the back. We stayed there for the first night. Because they were almost fully booked we had to pay 140 euro extra to take a room with reasonable beds in the other wing. That was totally unfair! It’s a shame that a well respected hotel have these horrible beds. Even if I’m the first one to complain about it it doesn’t matter. Decent beds are a basic thing to provide to the visitors. I’ve slept better in hostels. Be ware!

Coming back to the hotel answer, don’t mix the hotel policy with the receptionist answer. I would never lose nonsense time just to write mean reviews, literally that was his answer, and I would advice everyone to avoid the hotel. Because regardless of any cultural problem, in hospitality you should follow your business interest and to attract the customer, not to speak with him/her like you are prepare for war. Worst experience ever! A fat receptionist told me that I have to pay upfront because I am from Romania and if it would be his hotel he would never host people from Romania, Poland or Ukraine.

The rooms were clean and warm with a very relaxing mattress. Good placement within the city. The most positive aspect is the very helpful and kind staff 4.3/5. Highly recommended.
