I seriously don’t get why this hotel have a rating of 4.1 on Google. The worst hotel experience ever!!! Pros: @ Reception is nice, when there is someone actually there @ Location is great @ Not expensive, but I wouldn’t say it is worth it Cons: @ Room lights doesn’t all work @ Ordered queen bed and got two single beds instead @ Water pressure is terrible @ Reception is shared with the Dormero hotel so no personnel is staffed and no service provided at the City Hotel Budapest @ Since the lack of reception, I’ve left a message on Bookings message without answer for more than 14 hrs and counting @ Last but not worst, janitor walked in without knocking at 09:45!!!

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in my life. Internet is very slow and barely reaches 1Mbps. You may get 5Mbps if you are lucky, but good luck trying to chill with Youtube while staying here. Room is also not clean when i first came in. I started sneezing throughout the night. The walls are also paper thin. You can hear people talking at the corridor. The room next door also was talking loudly and started punching the wall, which we can hear everything through our room. The area is also shady and very dirty. Do not let their pictures fool you, the hotel is located in some shady alleyways full of graffiti and garbage. The view in our room is also poor, unless you enjoy counting bricks (see picture) Staff is incompetent. Checked for 2 rooms, but put us in different floors even though there is space. Also, carelessly handles passports. They need your passport to check in, but getting them back... I can literally pick up someone else's passport by saying their room number. No ID verification checks. Someone else almost took our passports. One elevator was also broken, and breakfast? You have to go to the hotel next door for it. Nothing really good to say about this hotel. If it had stars, it deserves a -1. You are better off sleeping in a car, at least you don't have to pay anything.

Our group was treated terribly: they downgraded us to make more money on Formula One in town. They even made people switch rooms mid-stay. They even threatened to put two friends who had a twin room into one with a single bed. Just overall unprofessional

Very rude staff. The reason I booked this hotel is because they say they have an electric car charger. I couldn't get it to work so I asked at the front desk but they said they have no idea.

We were in the older hotel part on the right hand side. We were received by an incredible rude female receptionist. Never experienced something like that. Someone should tell here that an hotel doesnt work without customers! The bath smelled extremely like vinegar cleaner. Air conditioning was more bad than right. Breakfast was really good and the employees were very nice. The only ray of light in this hotel. Unbelievable!

the hotel is nice, with a great location and really clean. But we had card problems during the night and the reception was empty. The sign that said only the other reception was missing and i had to wait for like 30 mins until someone told me to go to the other reception

Great value for money, and very convenient if you are traveling by car as there is a garage next door.

Rooms are spacious, well equipped. It looks like hotel is renovated recently. WiFi is not available at all even in the lobby, there is no restaurant or caffe corner as well. Very good location, close to the city center and public transport lines.

DO NOT STAY HERE! There is zero wifi in the rooms. No help from staff. This trip was ruined. In this day and age, why is a hotel providing a clunky television and cheap room furniture while not investing in wifi for their guests. Its quite pathetic, we couldn't look up restaurants, make reservations, check location distances, or do literally anything else. Dont spend your trip hunting down a coffee shop to connect to wifi in order to plan the details of your trip. Please do not stay here, it will ruin your trip. Spend the extra $ and go somewhere else.

Find other options. No wi-fi in the rooms, rooms too warm, not a safe location. Ssaw a fist fights in front of the hotel and the car in front of the hotel broken window and stolen bag. Many homeless people and drunk people. No wi-fi in the rooms.

The AC is not working. We went to the receptionist to have it fixed but all they can do is to provide an electric fan. She is not friendly to the customer and not apologetic at all. We had the worst 2 night sleep in this hotel. By the way, we are on the #expatexplore balkan tour group and it happened during the summer. Thus, the room is too hot and humid. I will not recommend this hotel at all.

No service at all (in my case) and rooms are not well maintained. Reception is closed at 11pm and although you inform while doing the reservation about a late check-in they don´t pay attention to this information and they ask you to contact them again if you are checking in late. Also when contact them, they take too long to answer, in my case more than 4 hours which was already too late and I was almost at the hotel with no guarantee if I could check-in or I would sleep in the street. Since I stayed only for two nights I didn´t have many things so I only left my tooth brush and paste in the bathroom and a bottle of water on the table. When I arrived at night, all those things were gone. I wonder what would have happened if I left more things visible... Also, the shower hose was broken and there was more water coming out the hose than the head of it and what´s more important, the plate was stuck and I had water up to my ankle. Paint of the walls was also falling off the wall and curtain was too thing, it didn´t make any difference having it or not. I couldn´t talk to anyone about these things because at morning the reception was closed and at night too. Not very pleasant and not happy with my stay

The hotel was very well located, room was clean and tidy. The walls are too thin as you hear everything your neighbours do + wifi was not really good. Other than that good deal money wise

This hotel really need to improve their rooms. In the room I stayed in toilet seat was broken and shower was not functioning as it should. Of course I understand this is not a luxury hotel but basic equipment needs to work.

3 star hotel, but very clean. Rooms are cleaned every day, towels changed. Breakfast nice, plenty of choice. Location excellent - in the city center.

Very nice service. Clean rooms. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I asked for a quiet room (which they gave me at the back of the hotel), but I think they forgot about construction work next door which starts at 7am.

Good choice if you're visiting by car. Inexpensive three star property with all basic amenities in the vicinity of the Budapest Opera and the Nyugati railway terminus. Massive underground parking facility with direct elevator access to room-floors. 24-hour Convinience and tabak shops within 5 minutes walk. Breakfast limited in choice but top quality produce on offer.

Small room but cheap price. Soundproofing so bad that you can hear all the personal sounds in the next room. Friendly or unfriendly staff. smelly bedding. In conclusion I picked a cheap hotel, but it was the worst choice.
