We booked and paid for rooms for 16 people in advance and everything went smoothly and quickly. The staff made a reservation for us for dinner in a nearby restaurant upon arrival, so we didn't have to struggle to find anything decent quickly for so many people in such short time. Also we got free welcome shots in the restaurant thanks to the hotel reservation. Both check in and check out were immediate. We could store our luggage after check out for free until later so that we could still enjoy the city without dragging our stuff around before we head back in the afternoon. Best of - communication, services, staff, breakfast and hotel bar. Their staff was very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delicious and fresh, with plenty choices, a nice hotel bar. The only thing missing at the breakfast was better solution with coffee - there is just one "coffee machine" with a constant queue of people. Rooms are a bit older and slightly worn out, but still in good shape. Sometimes we could hear other guests through the walls but not too much, no disturbance during the night. Locationwise the hotel is unfortunately on a smelly ugly street with a gas station on the opposite site. On the other hand you have a Costa coffee almost next to it and a shopping centre and a metro station nearby. There is a small nice "garden" in the back of the hotel to sit and drink/smoke. The hotel has also a free sauna for guests but we didn't have time to try that. We were all satisfied and would recommend this hotel. Thank you.

Not our best experience, for a 4 stars hotel, somethings cant be seen! The second night we found some strange insects (bed insects) on our bed and after communicating that , the answer was “Oh u did, sorry” Another night we found the room without even a towel ! Took 2 bottles of water but paid for 4 by mistake!!!

Extremely dirty hotel! They never vacuum. The floor is very dirty all over the hotel, inside the rooms, at the corridors.. everywhere! We stayed 4 days and they never cleaned our room. They never changed our towels! They never changed our cups of coffee or glasses we used for juice.. This is not a 4star hotel! Shame!!!!

Very conveniently located hotel with loads of bars and restaurants nearby. It's only a few minutes walk from a couple of Metro stations and buses stop near it too. The receptionists were good on the whole but of the five we saw, they varied in cheerfulness with one being particularly surly and another being very chipper. On entering our room we could smell cigarette smoke. It turned out that our room overlooked a courtyard where smoking was permitted and the room's window was open. We closed the window and the smell soon disappeared. The rooms could've been cleaner. We had a twin accessible room, which was good in itself, but the handles in the bathroom and the radiator were rusting in places and obviously hadn't been wiped down for a while as there was a layer of dust on them. It made us think the room doesn't get used very often. I also found an empty bottle behind my bedside table. Our room got a 'very light touch' from the cleaners during our stay. In fact, we never saw any room cleaning staff. The breakfast was great. Plenty to choose from and it varied slightly every day. Loads of low carb options but never any bacon, oddly. Still, their scrambled eggs were delicious. The hotel has a 24 hour bar, if that floats your boat. Despite the flaws we'd stay here again. Not sure how it can claim to be a four star hotel but it was very good value for money and the twin accessible room set up was ideal for us. The room was right by the lift which we'd never seen before in the many other hotels we've stayed in.

Nice hotel, near to center (1-3 stops away with bus). The bathroom not so clean. Kind stuff. The breakfast was perfect so many thing to choose and eat. Very warm hotel. They print out airport tickets, so kind of them.

Nice and spacious rooms and a good service from the staff. Breakfast is OK, but the timeslot for it could be expanded. We had wished for a more exiciting bar at the hotel, so we didn't have to go to the city center for a nice cocktail. Distance to the city center is a little far by walking, but easy to reach with bus/tram/metro.

Take your money elsewhere. You can find much better and cleaner rooms than this in Budapest. For a 4* hotel, rooms are dirty: black hair on pillows and sheets (we called them and they replaced the sheets and apologised), lots of hair in corners in the bathroom (we reported and took them 2 days after calling twice, because cleaning lady does not clean, only shuffles pillows and our pajamas), breakfast incredibly mediocre, 4 types of ham/salamy, eggs, coffee machine, sausages, every second day backed beans. Sauna is offered on web site and it is not working, we found when we got here. Reception staff is polite non the less.

I am currently staying in Hotel City Inn. It is a nice small hotel with very a friendly staff. It is not really located in the centrum but it is close to a lot of nice places you could visit. The rooms are ok, but the cleaning services are not so good. They will make your bed every day but they do not change the sheets every day. My room was located on the sixth floor which was kind of warm. In the winter period you have no airconditioning, but opening the windows is good enough. (Have to say, I'm a person who gets too hot quickly. So for me it was too hot, but that doesn't have to be the case for you ofcourse) The breakfast is a bit basic but it is good food. They serve different kinds of bread with cheeses and meat products. There is a coffee machine and a variety of drinks like milk, orange juice or lemonade. The staff behind the reception are very helpful and they can give you good tips what to visit or what to do. The bar is open 24-7 which is also nice. I would come back to this place

It helps to overlook on the bit retro building that the stuff is brilliant and the breakfast is amazing. Perfect location tempting even not to leave the area. The mall nearby is the only black sheep, but you even have a cinema with cool atmosphere just next to it. If you are seeking for luxury, go somewhere else but if you want good value for money, it worths to have a closer look.

The Hotel City Inn is amazing with its clean rooms, great staff and a good quality breakfast with multiple options. It's located between two metro stops that can take you to the city center and there is also a shopping mall almost right next to it. Grabbing a quick dinner before bed is as easy as it gets as the whole street that leads to the Mall is covered with restaurants and there is also a food court in it. P.S. bring a small pillow with you that you like to sleep on :)

I have stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. Hotel is located in a very good area in Budapest which is near Corvin plaza. The room is very clean and the cleaning service is done every day on time, The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and has something for everybody. In addition to above, the stays cost is great in comparison to other hotels in Budapest.

Of course, I understand that the Hungarian language is closer for the reception staff, but when two guests check in, one of whom speaks Hungarian, this does not mean that information about the hotel, what time breakfast starts and what time you need to check out should be provided in Hungarian , not in English. It feels like I'm an inferior guest. I had to ask my friend everything. Personally, I work at the reception in a hotel, and never in my life will I allow myself to speak in a language that at least one guest cannot understand.

Close to mall and public transport but still a few min from center with public transport. Toliet a little small, room size is fine. View yard. Breakfast was all you can wish for. Friendly staff that do what they can to help and they are there 24/7. We stayed 3 nights and it was very quiet here. Shop across street if you need water, food or other stuff.

Definitely was not a 4star hotel... Room service from 07:00 outside the rooms talking loud and making noises. Reception stuff was pretty good. Breakfast choices were pretty low for 4star hotel,"salty" scrambled eggs not even fried eggs or bacon 🤣

Very clean, well equipped and perfectly situated hotel near to city centre and close to metro station. Very reasonable price and comfortable parking option. We stayed one night, but I would definitely recommed this hotel for longer stay. Breakfast also OK.

Stayed here with my husband for 3 nights. Great location, comfy beds, staff are welcoming and professional. Local shops and restaurants as well as shopping centre. Nice quiet neighbourhood. Not much halal food options but can opt for veggie stuff. Defo stay here again.

For the price can be ok for 1-2 nights. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, impossible. In addition the room is around 12 sqm, do not believe what they are saying on booking or other platform, breakfast normal to poor, bathroom is way to small, you barely have place on the toilet, not cleaned with mold. In my opinion, just pay more and get a real 4 star hotel, this one in reality has 2 stars.

Nici lovely hotel, great location, accesible from many sides with a variety of means of transportation. Prices are decent. Room was spacious, tidy, bed was confortable. Great breakfast included. Parking not available, but you can parc around on the street or you have a parking house in the shopping mall 3 minutes away. Will be back for sure

Ideal for a short city break. Rooms clean and roomy. Reception staff really helpful with no request being a problem. Would use again if visiting Budapest.

An amazing place to stay in Budapest and it's only a 6 mins walk from the nearest metro station. Service was professional and our room had a bathtub inside, which was pretty cozy. Room was clean, decent and very comfortable. Breakfast was good enough.

A quiet little hotel. Our room was fine for our requirements and was spotlessly clean and serviced every day. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Positives: very helpful staff, awesome breakfast Negatives: there were no slippers provided, the temperature was high during the night and there wasn't any alternative to a thick blanket

Located in central Budapest, on the Pest side of the river, this hotel is small but comfortable and good value for money. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. They will happily sell you tourism attraction tickets but do make sure that you research well and know what you want beforehand because some of the staff aren't entirely certain what it is they are actually selling you - we were sold some sightseeing bus tickets for the following day but half of the services weren't even running and we were not told that we'd need to pay extra and still have to get on a metro train to get to the first stop! I'm not sure if there's an on-site restaurant but there are drinks and snacks available in the mini-bar for a reasonable cost. The on-site bar next to reception is great value for money but is in full view of the whole of reception, so the noise of people checking in and out can carry through. I enjoyed it here though, for what it cost it was worth it.

Relatively good hotel for good price. Rooms are quiet. There is small garden - great place for smokers. Food is also good. Close there is shopping centres, Costa, many restaurants.

Great hotel! It has all your basic needs and functions covered and very tidy and clean. I’d love to be back the next time I come to Budapest!

Tidy clean, well-located, friendly staff. The most I liked was the cell phone in the room that I could use outside the hotel. A lot helped me in the fast-track of the city of course Internet, as the calls for Croatia were free. Breakfast was average, standard. The Hotel also features a beautifully decorated small shady garden.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Check-in was fast and the staff were pleasant. Our room (315) was clean and tidy and warm (which was nice after walking to hotel in very cold temperature). The room was okay although I think putting a large bath in the main room is quite strange (we didn't use it). Even though the room was warm when we first entered, we turned the temperature right down but it made no difference and we got too hot overnight. When we returned to the room the following day, a maintenance man was just finishing work he had been doing on the air conditioning. This made no difference to the heat in the room so we opened the window to cool the room. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good variety of foods that would cater for all tastes. The restaurant staff were very pleasant. The hotel is in good area with a large shopping mall a minute away and also there are a good variety of restaurants and cafes close by. The hotel is a short walk from metro. All the staff were very friendly and professional and all spoke very good English. We would stay here again when visiting Budapest.

After reading the reviews was a bit sceptical. I didn't have worried, the hotel is great a bit dated but has everything you need. For those who are unhappy with breakfast I'm not sure what the problem is. There is so much choice available albeit not an English cooked breakfast but food a plenty. They will even cook eggs for you. A bit of of the centre but no noise. Would definitely stay here again.

The information about the hotel faciliteter can differ from receptionist to receptionist. Bad experience...by something near to the city center. It is definately not 4 start. Ar conditoning very bad and cleaning too.

Don't be it off from the outside as once inside you won't be disappointed. Our room was clean, modern and spacious. The staff on the desk spoke English and were very helpful. Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am and has a great selection of continental stile breakfast items, as well as fresh coffee and juice.

The construction work nearby is really a bummer. Though it is not the hotel's fault. Anyway, overall services are satisfactory! Breakfast was sumptuous, i really enjoyed the eggs and bread! Very friendly and accommodating staff. The cleaning staff did good job! Towels smells lovely and I always bring my own shampoo and soap but here smells really fruity and seems to have really good quality so I ended up using them ☺. Very commendable! Thanks a lot.

  • 5/5 Valerio V. 5 years ago on Google
The hotel was nice overall; everyone working there was polite and smiley, the bathroom was a little small, but definitely functional and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was nice as well, the only "bummer" was that there was mostly savoury food, not a problem for me, but some people are used to eat sweet in the morning, and that wasn't too much of a choice; so don't get me wrong, I just want to point out the lack of sweet food, the rest was really good. The hotel is also not far from a subway station, and so it's not hard to move around the city. Indeed, I'd really recommend this hotel.

  • 4/5 Nick P. 1 year ago on Google
Very friendly staff. Breakfast is barely typical, nothing special, just something to eat in the morning. Coffee comes from a machine and like most places in Central Eastern Europe, it's impossible to get proper espresso. There is a parking lot available right across the hotel entrance, on the 1st floor. It's the same entrance as the gas station. First you need to go to the hotel reception to get a key card. Cost is 15euro per night and space is not always available so ask the reception before booking. Room was big, bed was OK. The fact that the bathtub was in the room is rather...strange but I guess it has its perks. Toilet and shower where each in separate rooms and the toilet sink was also in the room. Not very nice when it comes to the toilet arrangement. Cleanliness was kind of an issue as well, since the bed was made daily but the toilet was cleaned every two days and the towels were also changed every two days. It's about 3km from the city center. Not a bad location but definitely not downtown. Would go again if the toilet arrangement was better and there was proper daily housekeeping.

We absolutely enjoyed staying in this hotel. Great location, very good breakfast for this price, polite reception. The underground parking just next to the hotel, 15 EUR per night. And you really don’t worry about your car’s safety. Amazing combination of cost and quality ❤️

The hotel is great for short stays. Clean rooms, clean toilets. For the declared class of the hotel, a good price. Good breakfast. The staff understands and speaks English well. Courtesy, courtesy and efficiency liked at the reception. The downside is there is no parking at the entrance. But nearby there is paid parking, and at the entrance you can stop only for a couple of minutes.

Hotel is located next to the enter of the city. The trains and buses are close, metro is close also. By walk is around 15 min to the river and to the nice restaurants/bars. Price for the double room is not excessive, tasty breakfast included. Quality of rooms is good. Everything clean and fresh. Employees on the reception are nice and helpful. I really recommend this hotel.
