Pretty good level hotel having in mind the visitors. :) Good prices. Clean room and comfortable bed. Bathroom also very clean and not bad surprises. Breakfast was very nice and good variety. Place for parking. Location of the hotel is very good to downtown and just for a couple of minutes walk you are at the main sightseeings. Enjoyed the view from balcony. :( during the night you hear the cars from outside boulevard. During the morning you hear the closing of the doors in corridor. Small rooms. Anyway, recommend it for short stops! Enjoyed the stay so far.

My experience was very positive. It was my first European hotel and the Ibis Styles Budapest City has all the styling of a modern Scandinavian apartment. The bicycle theme is also great. IMO this is presented well with factual information and unique art pieces. The room has a functional design so it is spacious. I was fortunate to get the big balcony so I could enjoy the sunsets over the Danube River and apartments to the West. I did choose the breakfast buffet and this is again a great service offering from the hotel. All diets can be accommodated for by the very efficient and kind staff. What I did appreciate was the ability to communicate with the staff in advance to clarify some shopping needs for when I arrived. And a big thank you to the front of the house who came running out to me in the street with cold water on hand. I recommend this hotel if you do not require direct city centre access as I found the area perfect for running errands and shopping for my next week or two out of the city. Many thanks team 😁🇦🇺

Terrible experience. Visited this hotel in spring (15 degrees outside) but there was 30degrees inside. So you would think why not to turn on air conditioning? Air conditioning was doing the exact opposite - heating. And it was not even possible to open balcony because of the noise outside. Hotel is located in the city centre but the noise of the traffic is unbearable. Last drop was the screaming of the other hotel visitors on the hall in the night. I slept around 3 hours that day.

Much better hotel than the others with 3 stars. The only negative is: parking fees

Super modern hotel, the stuff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very vibrant and fresh style. Good location, close to public transportation and close to a lot of sightseens.

This hotel is designed for drivers of Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Volvo (parking lot, 2. hand), who want to pose as bicyclists and enjoy enviromental feelings. It has an empty, secured bike stand. Otherwise the location is ideal for visitors arriving in Nepliget or the southern quarters of Danube east bank (Pest). I never book chain hotels, but for organisatorial reasons I had to check in there for 2 nights. Rooms are narrow, but ok. Clean with several lights. I had a calm one to the backside. Some of the design features haven't worked properly, bathroom is a bit poor, but clean. They have an ironing room on the level of an ethiopian no-star hostel. But the scrap iron worked a bit after 10 minutes tweaking. THE MINUS: Breakfast under the chain hotels budget rigor. Choice is limited and all things are small, old and of very unpleasant taste. Also buffet is always plundered. I came at 7.00 oclock when it was guzzeled empty by several dozen brawly people - on sunday !!! No butter but magarine and and .. During a 5 weeks bicycle tour through 7 countries with more than 25 different hotels this was the absolute looser breakfast for a much too high surcharge. Even in Bulgaria and Romania always much much better. So my conclusion: If you must book this chain hotel, do it without breakfast and take a 15 minutes walk to the nearby tourist quarters for a breakfast cafe. If you are one of the unfortunate package tourists without own choice of booking: do the same.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay at the Ibis Styles and would highly recommend it. The hotel is smart and clean, with quirky designs and touches throughout. We loved the breakfast room and the variety of options available was great - the coffee/tea machine in the lobby for guests to use throughout the day/night is a nice touch. We had a family room, very spacious and well laid out and with a view of the courtyard and apartments at the rear. The hotel is a 1 minute walk from the river Danube for evening strolls and the tram line and the Metro are just across the road so it's easy to use public transport. Although it's not right in the centre of town there are restaurants and shops nearby and so many streets to explore if you enjoy walking. The staff were very friendly, letting us have a late check- out on our final day, storing our bags and booking a taxi for us- they couldn't have been more helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The location of this hotel is fine. It’s not exactly near the shopping street but definitely in the city centre. The hotel is okay. The lady at reception wasn’t very courteous, it felt like, she being at the reception was a punishment for her. There were other 2 gentlemen who were very courteous & warm. What really bothered us was the cleanliness- I understand it’s a budget hotel, but clean room is a fundamental requirement. Our coffee table had sticky stains which weren’t cleaned the other day too. And housekeeping just kept couple of towels & left, without vacuuming. I hope the hotel takes proactive steps towards cleanliness, because otherwise the hotel is super fine- breakfast buffet was good, it’s safe & secure and has basic amenities. View from our room was great too!

Pleasantly surprised with the location. Very close to buses and I had a good view from the hotel room. Parking is challenging but possible. (Smaller cars are easier since it is very tight) The staff was very friendly.

Stayed for one night, hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Public transport is really close next to Petőfi bridge. Plenty coffee shops and restaurants can be found around

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE Unfortunately yesterday I had a very bad experience in this place. Approximately a week before, I sent a message to the hotel's email address explaining that I would arrive on July 18 at 1:00 AM and that I would check-out that same day in the morning (in the end I arrived later because my flight was delayed but I also updated the company about this) When I arrived at the hotel there was a blonde girl who anyone would have a hard time believing was an Ibis receptionist because she was extremely rude and arrogant. She didn't want to give me my room and even wanted me to pay for it again. I gave her my cell phone so she could read all the messages that I sent to the company and also all the messages that they replied to me... but for some reason, she only pretended to read them. Then she told me ironically: do you plan to stay here to sleep and then leave in the morning? And I answered yes... then she told me: and why didn't you tell me that? So I told her that I had communicated all this to the company several days in advance and that she didn't actually read the messages on my cell phone that I showed her. Then she immediately proceeded to pretend that she would agree to give me the room, but only for being "nice" to me even though I didn't "deserve" it because I supposedly had to pay again.. She gave me my card and at no time did she accept her mistake, much less apologize to me. The next day, I went to the reception and a man in glasses was the receptionist. I asked him if breakfast was included in the amount I paid to which he replied: I've heard about you.. You're from 506, right? You're lucky I wasn't here last night because otherwise I wouldn't have given you your room… Therefore, again I had to take the time to explain my situation. Fortunately, this person unlike his colleague, actually read the messages I sent to the company about my situation and accepted that I was right. He also mentioned that the other receptionist never informed him that I had shown those messages to her... In conclusion, in addition to the fact that this woman was hostile and wanted to force me to pay for an extra night, she also lied to the other workers at the company about the events that occurred. I would also like to mention that this man paid me my taxi ride to the train station as a way of apologizing for what happened and I'm very grateful for that. Anyway, I would like to kindly recommend that the next time something like this happens with any client, that he first listen to both sides of the story because the way he initially approached me was not appropriate either. I have been an Ibis customer for many years and all my experiences in other countries have been very good, except this one. Just a couple of days ago I was in an Ibis in São Paulo - Brazil and I have to say that I was very satisfied with the service. Instead, the experience I had yesterday made me feel like I wasn't in an Ibis.

"desk" chair was uncomfortable for long sit (it was a pub stool). Desk too narrow and TV could be in way of opened laptop. No guest chair, other then bean bag chair, which was a low sit. Bed comfortable. Shower good with detachable head. Ample room for clothes for week stay. Breakfast had a wide selection with breadth of Euro tastes. No fruit salad. Was apples, bananas, and oranges (many bananas were bruised). No restaurant, but many local places (american, asian, persian), although a 20 min walk for Hungarian restaurants.

Perfectly located for ease of getting around, we had a great view of Danube in 609 although was noisy we slept with door to balcony open as the room was warm and slept well. The beds are not the comfiest though, the staff are warm and welcoming and allowed us to check in early as a room was available 😀 Breakfast is great as are the free tea and coffee in the lobby. Rooms have plenty of plugs but no usb or no kettle x

Quick check-in, great room with terrace, great breakfast, interesting interior. The only complaint is the coffee. Maybe the coffee is good, but the coffee machine is bad, so it makes bad coffee

Rooms with great value for money. Location is good. The parking was very small, narrow and crowded. You have an alternative to park across the street in the underground parking at Fizeto or on the nearby streets witha limit of 3 hours each time. I really liked the bike tematic which was pressent on all walls inside and rooms 🚲. At the hotel lobby bar I ordered a bottle of wine and the guy couldn't provide 3 glasses (same model). Also one of the received glass was dirty and stained and i had to go and clean it myself 👎

Clean and friendly hotel. Train and bus station across the street to take you anywhere you want to go. Quiet place to rest. Breakfast in the morning has a good variety of pastries, Meats, cheeses, cereals, etc. Worth staying at.

Hotel was bright and cheerful and very convenient. It's a modern European style hotel, not particularly Hungarian.

  • 5/5 Vlad T. 2 years ago on Google
Good location to stay overnight, kind staff, good breakfast. If hotel parking is full, you can park on the street, taxable after 8am. Is a payment machine 15m from hotel entry. You can have / exchange Hungarian currency at reception.

No, no, no and no! Other 3 star hotels are doing way better! 1. Stained bedsheets, felt like it wasn't even changed at all! 2. The A/C would not go lower than 10°c and the room was so hot. 3. I could literally hear the room upstairs, some poor soul was snoring their brains out. 4. Street noises. 5. The mattress was awful and felt like I was sleeping on some sand sacks. 6. No water in the room to drink! (Not all people are drinking water from the tap) 7. No mino fridge mini the room. 8. Breakfast - awful, poor. Bread and pastries felt like they were at least 3 days old. 9. As s bonus - electricity went out and they did not have back up generator. 10. Staff didn't care when requested a room change. The list can be longer but I think that's enough. So, I did this mistake and stayed in Ibis hotel years ago because I didn't have any other options. Now the same - it wasn't my choice. Never again. Better stay in a hostel, probably get better rooms and service than a 3 star hotel like Ibis... There is no 3 starts in there :))) don't get fooled.

Excellent hotel within budget with excellent hospitality. Breakfast is exceptional with great variety. Right next to tram and bus station, the place is most convenient to travel around Budapest

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good location near Petofi bridge and the main bus stations, so visiting Budapest from here is a breeze. They have very few parking spots.

The overall experience is 5/5, they allow pets and they have their own parking ( paying more but worth it ), you have two options of room view, one looks on river Dunube and second on backyard, more peaceful. Breakfast included too 7/10, room cleanliness is 10/10, and room services cleans it everyday!

Small rooms , no frige in the room. Rooms faced to the bulevard are very noisy . Basic breakfast . Very close to the river and city center.

Pretty basic rooms. Safe in the rooms are very small (not enough for a 13" laptop). Decent breakfast. Good position. Helpful people.

The hotel is okay, although the room was little worn and someone spilled something on the wall and it wasn’t cleaned 🤦🏻‍♂️ On the other hand, the bed is really comfortable, great breakfast was offered, and the location is fantastic. The only real problem is that the walls are sooooo thin that you can hear: every door open and close; people running through the hallway; people talking etc. and this is especially disturbing during the night as people run and have fun irrespective of the time. And I don’t blame the people, it’s just to emphasise how thin the walls are.

Service was great, breakfast was very nice 👍 Room was all right, there were some issue with the air conditioner, but the hotel swiftly offered me a new room, thank you!

Excellent place to stay over looking river. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Location just a bit out of centre. But if you download taxi app "Bola" it about £5-€5 to hotel or about 25 minutes walk

We stayed at Ibis for five days. Staff was super helpful and pleasant. Was willing to help with anything or answer any questions. Rooms were great and clean, and were being cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Highly recommend!

Perfect hotel in central location only 10’ by public transportation(trams lines 4&6 buses and suburban train stops right outside)The room was spacious and everyday was cleaned. The staff was great. Some rooms also offer a balcony. The area is quite so there is no heavy traffic. I highly recommend it and I will stay again in the future.

This is a nice hotel with very nice staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Fast WIFI and good breakfast. A solid Ibis Styles offering. Street parking at a fee and with limited availability. But that is to be expected in a city location.
