It’s a little tricky to find the place because the entrance is down a walkway and on the second floor of a residential building. Watch for the signs out front. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm. The upper bunks didn’t have safety rails and I felt insecure about falling so I switched to a lower bunk. The bunks have a small locker, privacy curtains, the beds are comfortable. There’s also another, larger locker under the bed for your bag. The AC in the room wasn’t great, but it was better than nothing. The showers had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The kitchen is a big open space and is well equipped. The lounge area was popular and the hostel hosted events on most nights, so it’s easy to meet people. The hostel is in a central location, it was quiet and clean, so I’d stay again.

My boyfriend and I had bedbugs. I saw one a few hours after checking in (in the daytime), and informed reception. Told us they couldn’t do anything about it currently as it has just been fumigated before we checked in. Night-time came and we drew the curtains and we saw 4 bedbugs on them. We had to sleep there for the night because it was fully booked, and we saw 2 baby bedbugs when we woke up in the middle of the night. They did move us into a different room and offered to clean all of our clothes in the morning. I appreciate their response (albeit later than I had liked). We enjoyed the rest of the time that we were there. We have travelled across Europe and this is the only hostel I’ve experienced which specified bedbugs in their house rules. This has clearly been a problem for a while, I suggest to flow spaces that they treat the wood or completely replace the bed frames, as I saw an abundance of bedbug faeces in the untreated wood. It seems they like the narrative of bed bugs being a common issue, rather than solving the problem long-term. Hostel itself is lovely and you will have a good experience, if you’re not in one of the infested rooms. If you’re willing to take the gamble, by all means.

We arrived at the accommodation and the room was ready (individual room). Red flag 1: once you entered the private room floor, there is a nauseous smell of spoiled food. Red flag 2: the room was poorly cleaned; we had to pick up hair from the floor! Red flag 3: after turning off the lights, we were surprised by bugs on the bed, yes bedbugs! It seems that this is a recurrent problem. Unfortunately, we did not read all reviews beforehand, but this problem was already in July and clearly not dealt with by the accommodation. Red flag 4: after reporting the problem to the administration, the solution was bluntly presented as: "we can't offer another room to avoid contamination, so either you stay in the same room or you get the refund and find another accommodation". Plus, the person at the reception said, "Bedbugs are not poisonous, so you don't have to worry." In the end, we left with a refund. However, we do feel that this problem was simply ignored, and the next guests will deal with this over and over again. If you stay there, be careful!

Absolutely loved my stay at the hostel. The location is ideal! The staff were really kind and helpful! The kitchen has everything you need and there is a computer area if you have work that needs to be done. If I'm ever back in Budapest I won't think twice about where I'm staying.

The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand does. This hostel was a very bad experience, we will not return for sure. I booked a dorm for my musicians, they were excited to get to know some people and mingle in one of the famous Budapest hostels. They asked me the same day to move them out because of the conditions. Then the hostel couldn’t send me and invoice, we were back-and-forth on the phone for one day. The manager called me personally to apologize, so I thought things will go okay from now on. But when I came in to treat the case personally, I basically needed to do the invoice myself, because the evening receptionist was not informed by the daytime workers or management about the situation, and was not trained how to make an invoice. On the top of all this, we forgot an iPhone charger in one of the private rooms, which was not found - nor by the new guest, nor by the cleaning lady, nor by the receptionist. 12 hours after check out.. I understand that hospitality is a dire profession. I am in show-business, that is tough too. But if I treated my audience like this hostel treats the guests, I would sing and maybe even live on the streets.

Had a decent night's sleep, bed was comfier than expected. However, the room, bathrooms and common room weren't very clean, bathrooms had a weird smell and kitchen sinks had food and things in them. Don't see the need to give a deposit and sign an agreement on house rules in order to get keys - we've paid for the beds and it made us feel that they think we're going to cause trouble from the start. Not something that has happened in any other hostel we've stayed at. The person dealing with check out gave us a full stack of IDs so we had access to around 20 people's personal details, definitely need to have better processes and the whole place felt in need of a refresh.

One of the best hostel (and cheap, about €7/day) I have been. Bed is sturdy and with privacy curtain and lockers, kitchen is big, toilet is clean and comfortable. Needless to say, it is always some of the inconsiderate users who cause issue to others. Highly recommended!

Stayed here in January and unfortunately did not check the reviews - my hostel room also had bedbugs! To the credit of the staff, they were really great with handling it once I’d shown them my bites. They gave me a refund and washed all my clothes for free as well as providing new ones to wear in the mean time. The communal areas, location and price are great, but it’s not worth getting bedbugs for. Wish I could recommend this place, hopefully they get the bedbug infestation sorted because it was great otherwise.

This is a very good hostel in the city center of Budapest, just near the central market. The 24 hour service was very friendly and the equipment was good. It's in a traditional Hungarian apartment, so you can also have a feeling of old architecture.

Amazing hostel! Highly recommend! The staff were friendly and helpful. It was cool and quite and I had a great sleep. The bunk beds are well designed and have a curtain for privacy. They lock your luggage in a locker with a key if you arrive before check in and provide you with a padlock for a locker under the bed during your stay. Clean, comfortable and friendly with lots of space for people to hang out and meet each other.

A hostel thats good for the price. It is in a good location with metro and trams nearby. I did feel that the rooms were slightly cramped especially when your lockable box's are under the beds. The services and staff were great, such as the clothes washing service for €8 and they sort everything.

Flow spaces is a modern, fairly well equipped hostel with pretty much everything you may want from a hostel-class accommodation. Large and nicely furnished common areas to sit & work, eat or just chat with others. Plenty of free coffee. Lockers for free are available (finally someone!). The hostel and hostel rooms are accesible by a card and everything is reasonably clean and spacious. Almost anybody will appreciate the furnishing of the bed in the 8-person bunk bed rooms, featuring a curtain for privacy, personal light, power outlets and even a little wardrobe for your clothes and belongings. Bedsheets are included in the price, towels aren't, which is nothing unexpected, because a night at this place costs less than the damn eggs and a coffee I had for breakfast in the café across the street. Seriously, it's almost unbelievable. However, what exceeds any expectations is the absolute next-level service. The staff are doing their best to keep the place in top condition and everybody happy, but the receptionists are total rock stars - always smiling, always ready to help 24/7 (yep, at 3 am too, try it) and going above and beyond to do anything you need. True story, they saved my a*s and printed some important documents for me. Thank you from all my heart! So is your hard-earned €15 you spend for a night here going to be worth it? You betcha.

Nice hostel well decorated. It has free-coffee and great facilities except for the showers. Beds have a curtain for extra-privacy. I travel with one friend and we share room with 3 german guys, who were so nice to us. They even invited us to drink beer with then at night.

The staff are really cool people, really eager and ready to help, even at 19:00 when you want to change rooms for some more peace and quiet, very very nice! The nicest thing was that the person behind the counter asked if I was moving rooms because of a problem with particular person, and that wasn't the reason, but it was a really cool gesture, much appreciated. One slight downside would be that the shared bathrooms and showers could be a bit cleaner, and the fridges too, that would make the experience 5*.

I love this hostel. This is one of the best in Budapest. It has a very nice atmosphere and everything is just great. Toilets and showers are cleaned regularly, the bed and pillow are okay and they have curtains for privacy. The room I stayed in is a bit small but still okay. They have a big box to store your stuff but I would say it’s kinda hard if you’re staying on the upper bed and sometimes to pull out the storage box can be a bit noisy. Location wise, for me it’s great, close to Market Hall and near to most places so it’s recommended. Trams and bus stops are not that far including the bus stop to the airport.

Make sure to be there at 15:00 not EVER before that because we arrived at 7 am and tried to check in early, the receptionists refused multiple times even though we said we would pay extra and we have seen people checking out by 9 am already and the housekeepers cleaned the rooms but they still refused to let us in any room. We tried to sleep for 5 hours in the common area (which was dirty) so the first day of our trip was terribly ruined. Other than that, the rooms/bathrooms are clean. The room is spacious, too. Each person has his own light, locker and curtain.

First of all, the location and the price were absolutely amazing. It's close to multiple sights, metro stations and tram stops. The reception staff was super kind and helpful. The common kitchen area is cozy and useful. I stayed in a female dorm, with a private bathroom. It was clean enough and the people were nice. Thank you!

Decent hostel in a handy location right by the first airport bus stop and near the big food hall. Staff were super nice and helpful. Would stay here again if coming back to Budapest. There’s a really great pizza place called Pizza Manufaktura, worth checking out and it’s just the next street over.

Best hostel ever. Friendly welcoming staff available 24/7. Privacy, security and comfort even in an 8-bed Mixed dorm. Excellent cooking facilities and bathrooms. Plenty of space to relax. Luggage storage. Washing facilities for a fee (€8) exceptionally fast and easy process. Easy check in. In a central location!

Best place to stay in Budapest. Friendly staff, cool lounge and overall, the hostel is kept quiet clean with proper hygiene. The location is very close to the central + they offer free tea, coffee, juices and some breads. Completely worth the money !!

Affordable price One of the good hostels that you can find in Budapest, rooms come with air conditioner along with little fridge.. staff is really friendly... Highly recommend

Loved my stay. Place is clean and modern. You can tell they have put a lot of time effort money and thought into making the rooms and the hostels into a welcoming environment. We stayed in a private room that is separate from the actual main hostel but you are welcome to use the main hostel premises. They have bar crawls and will give you free wine to “warm up” and socialize before going out. Overall really great. The lobby people were nice and welcoming too.

This was a nice hostel with cheap price.. but rooms/beds could have been bigger and better.. bathrooms are good and maintained.. good kitchen and games were also there.. but no towels given.. and its near to the main streets metro, bus and tram stops.. but the photos given are much nicer than reality of the rooms.. 😜

Good place to stay in Budapest. Great placement with everything you need close: grocery store, metro station for lines 3 and 4, nice bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as being close to the river. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, checking in and out was very quick. Didn't really use the common spaces but they seemed nice enough. The rooms are OK for the price, the biggest problem with the rooms is that you can hear everything outside so when trying to sleep at night when there are people active can be annoying. Other than that the beds are comfortable enough and have curtains for some privacy.

Me and my wife really liked the location of Flow Spaces. With a simple walk you are in a nice center and close to bus - tram - metro. Workers in Flow are friendly young people who try to help you the best they can. Rooms are okay i guess. We were unlucky to have two guys sleeping in the same room who started talking loudly from 9 in the morning while others were still sleeping, they did every morning. Staff should instruct people to be silent in bedrooms in mornings, and i think they didn't do this enough. There is a cantine with kitchen where people chill out and can socialize. You can store your stuff there and label your own products with your name. We had things stolen from our labelled basket more than once.. One also stole our umbrella at the entrance basket.... That was a bit of a bummer. Takes away the feeling of save place to store your groceries and stuff. Very rude! There is a chest in the bedroom with a lock that you can use to place your clothes inside. I found it very unhandy and would've preferred a cabin with lock, now i struggled to get my clothes, toothbrush etc every morning and night. You can rent a locker in the hall but not if you are already checked in, also something weird imo. If it was my hostel i would've done things differently as you can read. But overal it was not bad and with a few easy changes (instruct guests much better not to take stuff and be quiet) i would recommend this hostel. It's a 3 star for me.

  • 1/5 Vlad A. 4 months ago on Google
Rooms and facilities seemed ok but a bed bug was crawling on the bed at midnight (checked in late). Got offered a change of room and washing of clothes. Sadly after reading the reviews here it seems like it's an ongoing problem for well over a year. Stay at your own risk, just because it's really bad here it doesn't mean that other hostels or hotels are safer

  • 4/5 Grace K. 4 months ago on Google
Decent hostel for its price. Stayed at a private room but did get a bit noisy at night due to communal kitchen being used late at night. No late night quiet time rules placed by the hostel that allowed other residents to be as loud as they want at late night.

Everything was perfect! I really liked the vibe inside of the hostel. In kitchen there are everything you need to cook such as oven, microwave, kettle and so on. Everyone washing their dishes. I loved the staff they were super kind and helpful. I stayed in female 8 bed room and it was pretty clean. We had bath in our room. Since it is winter season the heat inside of the hostel super warm. Even you could have rumbled by wearing shorts! I strongly recommend this hostel! It was worth to its wage. If I visit Budapest again, I would stay in flow spaces as well. Thank you for everything💖

Pretty dirty. The beds aren’t awful but the bathrooms and rooms felt a pretty run down and just weren’t that clean - shower floors were constantly covered in hair and had a slimy and sticky feel. Useful for the price and in a good location, but, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

This place is ok, very cheap and good common spaces. I recommend to stay on single rooms thou. Some receptionist are extremelly nice and solve your issues ( a girl looking for a tv controller for me at night), while others were a bit less friendly.

It is a very good hostel in a nice neighborhood of Budapest. The receptionists are very nice and helpful. The only thing I don't suggest it to cyclists!!!😉 Too much stairs and there is not a certain place for your bike. They asked me to change it every day.

  • 4/5 Mindaugas 2 years ago on Google
In general, really well designed and planned hostel with good vibe. The staff was superb as well. The only issue I had was noise! You can always hear people from the main lobby super loudly no matter where you are - your room, "silent room", or else. It was so loud I couldn't sleep, couldn't work and had a headache from it. Also the wooden platforms and strairs creak waking everybody in surrounding rooms.

Central Spot near the river and city center. Nice rooms with air conditioning. We had a 4 bed room with bathroom and a shared kitchen. The mattresses are just cheap foam ones, not super great. All in all pretty nice hostel!

Clean and nicely decorated hostel with some privacy (bed curtains) and a great location (next to the Central Market Hall), however, the bathroom was tiny (hardly any space to stand). Nice common areas. Friendly staff, quick check-in and check-out. Possibility to use a locker after check-out for only €3.

Nice Hostel with chill rooms and good staff. We enjoyed the pub crawl, although one of our friends definitely drank too much. We booked a private ensuite room since we're 4 people and enjoyed the private bathroom, although the shower was somewhat dirty. We had access to a nice kitchen and cooked some good breakfast. Definitely a good hostel for tourists in Budapest

  • 5/5 Robert J. 1 year ago on Google
Calm area very Close the river, and at the same time very city central. Staff are 5/5, and I've been to 4 other hostels in Budapest. I had a 4 bed dorm with our own shower 🚿 and toilet 🚽 which was awesome. It was very quite at night, even with the window open. 24/7 reception. Kitchen with free coffee or tea ☕ Luggage 🧳 storage after checkout possibility. Washing services for 8 Euro 💶. Id definitely highly recommend flow spaces.

Great hostel with a modern feel. Loved the rooms, especially the bunk beds. Kitchen areas were always popping full of conversation. What started out as a mixed vibe turned into a real one. Will come again next time I'm in budapest.

Good location in the middle of Budapest but the staff could have been more helpful in recommendations for the city. The staff put used water glasses back without washing them and the bathrooms could have been better cleaned. I would recommend this place to other travellers but make sure to wash everything in the kitchen of before using it!

  • 5/5 Dingo D I. 1 year ago on Google
Great hostel. Perfect for working from home. Great internet speeds. The free Hungarian meals are a great way to taste Hungarian food. Showers could have been a bit better. The drainage was a bit clogged but that aside it was a very nice hostel.

My favourite hostel I have stayed at in all of my travels. Unfortunately I was only able to stay for one night. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, they made me feel at home within seconds. The hostel itself is very clean, smells great and has such a nice atmosphere. And for the price in the location!? Incredible value, and you should definitely stay here

  • 5/5 Judit M. 1 year ago on Google
Very cool place! I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Budapest. Central location with great public transport links / lots of stuff walking distance. The rooms are comfortable “, warm and super clean, with very good showers which is a big plus for me. The staff is really nice and helpful too, especially the ginger girl and the tall blond guy. Will go back for sure

Best Place to stay in Budapest, Very Close to Central Market and Chain Bridge. Large with privacy curtains Beds in Dorm. Huge kitchen with full of crockery and good vibe sitting space. Staff are friendly and supportive, I dropped my Debit Card in lobby area and they kept the note on my bed however I was drunk and didn’t noticed.😝😅

  • 2/5 Elisa G. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms are modern, the bed is comfy, well situated (close to public transport ), very friendly staff, nice kitchen However, it is quite dirty. We found hair in our bed (just when we arrived), the trash bin was not emptied before our arrival, the public restrooms and showers were filthy. The kitchen was not cleaned often enough. And attention, you need to pay for the towels

  • 5/5 Matea T. 1 year ago on Google
Everything was smooth and nice. Power outlets all around the place and a private one with light in your own bed. The showers were somewhat dirty but I'd still give it a five star review because everyone was so pleasant and helpful.

Nice enough hostel- shared bathroom great but en-suite not so nice. Each bed has a privacy blind which is fab and quite rare to find! Free tea and coffee and the use of the kitchen; with fridge space

Really great hostel in a great location! Rooms are clean and spacious, with adequate lockable storage space. Comfortable bedding. Reception is 24/7 which is great for those checking out for an early flight. Kitchen is just ok - with just the basics
