We stayed at this place last year on the 2nd of July and will never forget the traumatizing management failure. After arriving at midnight and waiting for two hours, the receptionist was able to proceed with our check-in we were woken up horrified by the receptionist breaking into our room at 6 in the morning, once he realized that I was woken up he closed the door and ran away. We don't know if he intended to harm or rob us because the establishment never stated if their receptionist had any mental disabilities or was on drugs, and we never received any apologies from them. I highly recommend you put something behind your door just in case you weren't as lucky as I was to wake up.

If you are going to stay at this hotel, please read! I didn't pay attention to the negative comments and I was unpleasantly surprised… We always think that there is someone who is very demanding, who gives a bad evaluation, because in the midst of so many good evaluations it has to go well with us. Unfortunately, we were deceived by the price of the hotel, we didn't expect much for the price, we only expected as little basic hygiene as possible! Did not happen … When we checked in, we entered the room and we were surprised by how big it was, we were counting on a small room and that surprised our expectations. As soon as we went to check the bed, we found stains, which gave the feeling of having been used, and a lot of hair, not just a few, A LOT! We went to call the dear receptionist Támas (the only one who really wanted to help us during our entire stay) to accompany us to the room so we could show him, he was shocked like us and called his supervisor straight away to check it out. The supervisor arrived with the cleaning ladies and there was not a single word for us, not even an apology, they spoke to each other, the cleaning ladies scowled and left to fetch “clean” bedding to change. They came back, made the bed "washed" and left, when I went to check, surprise, more hair and more stains, this time more yellow... we realized that after all, all the bedding they have is badly treated, torn, with stains and hairs ! conclusion we were disgusted to sleep in bed, as it was only 2 nights we lasted, and we tried to wake up as early as possible to spend as little time in the room as possible. Everything is dirty, the bathroom is full of fungus, dirty, disgusting … at anytime were we able to put our feet on the floor without shoes … it's horrible for a person to feel so vulnerable in a place that is paying, please think carefully if you want to go through this, there are many hotels in Budapest that are not expensive, I'm sure you will find one that is a little more expensive but that allows you to sleep peacefully and without this vulnerability due to lack of basic hygiene. To the director/owner of this hotel, please kindly review your cleaning staff, you are paying a salary and they are not doing their only job which is CLEANING! Regarding your Manager/Receptionist whose name I don't know, I'm sorry for you having such a weak person to show his face for your hotel, that when a problem happens he is not able to say a word. And in relation to your receptionist Támas, a piece of advice, I appreciate this guy, it was only for him that we stayed in this hotel, for his friendliness, sincerity, effort to help in everything and please us, it's a pity that he can't do it without the right means better and it is a pity that he is not the face of his hotel, he is a gem of a person.

Nice staff, good value. The place is basic but clean. They saved me in the middle of the night when I had to escape from a hostel not far, because of serious sanitary issues.

the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was very dirty. The bed and the towels were full of hair. I could stay there so I left. They refused to return my money back. The worst experience ever. I don’t want to hear again about easy hotels.

Booked this for a last minute trip to Budapest. The location is great, loads of shops, bars and places to eat nearby. You can also walk or take the tram to the centre. The rooms are decent enough size, they are very basic which is expected. You do need an extra duvet if you are two playing sleeping on a double as it is very very small, hardly even covers one person. The staff are very helpful you can’t fault them. The only things I didn’t like were that the AC didn’t work so it was very hot and there is no privacy if you open the blinds. People from other rooms can see in so we had to keep it shut the whole time which made the room feel really dark even with the light on. Overall if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep only meaning come to the hotel at 11pm then just get ready in the morning and leave straight away then then yes great. If you are wanting a bit of extra luxury such as working AC, decent bedding, bigger room spend a bit more and book somewhere else.

Pros: + Located in the city center within 2 mins walk from the Oktogon tram stop + Very friendly and welcoming receptionists + Reasonably priced and covers all the basic necessities Could be better: - AC doesn't work and we could feel the heat even in October Overall, a perfect place to stay for a day or two if you don't want to spend much on accommodation and would be coming to the hotel just for the night sleep. What more do you expect at that price?

Stayed here Tueaday 13th - Saturday 17th September. Its centerally located, 5 minute walk to nearest tram and Metro station. Its situated on one of the side/back streets of Budapest, so its quiet and away from the main roads. Now for the hotel, clean room, larger than the room I the EasyHotel room, I stayed in, in Berlin. Adequate storage space for clothings (shelves in bedroom to put stuff 👍). The room had a mini fridge, which staying in an EasyHotel I did not expect ❤️. The bed was comfortable, extra pillows were giving when I asked for them. Only issue was the duvet, that was more for a single bed. Staff were friendly and checkin was quick and straight forward. Bathroom / shower, small, and when tou have the shower curtain pulled to, its a tight squeze. All together a pleasent stay, and would recommend it to anyone on a buget.

We choose this hotel for its location and reasonable price. The location makes you take any public transport in 3-4mins walk. There is a money exchange in 300m (KoRoNa) which has nice rate. There is a SPAR supermarket close by with everything at a very cheap rate. Now coming to the hotel check in process was smooth. Just keep in mind if you want to check in before 3pm you will have to pay 10euros extra. The room had all the basic amenities. Though it was not big it was enough for two people considering the amount you are paying. The wifi was functioning great. We had a room overlooking the road so we had ample light. The room had a functional AC though for some reason we couldn’t get the temp below 24degree celcius. However it was okay for amus as it wasn’t that warm while we were there. There is microwave in the lobby if you need it. The fridge in the room wasn’t working but we didn’t need it. Overall, Nice hotel for easy stay in budapest! Will recommend.

Great value for money. It’s a budget hotel so didn’t really expect any frills especially for the price you’re paying. The location is excellent to get around Budapest. The rooms are small but functional and clean. There’s free WiFi, hair dryers and air-conditioning in the rooms too. Overall, if you’re looking for a simple place to stay on a tight budget, I think this is a good option.

I'm really happy with the hotel. The room is not big, but big enough. It is clean, tidy, warm and if you need anything the staff is always there to help you out. Yes, the bathroom is a bit small if you r a big bloke ,but not a major issue. The location of the hotel is really good and the staff is amazing. Overall I am very satisfied and given the price you pay, can't really fault it. Definitely will book again with Easyhotel.

Rooms are a bit particular, not so comfortable, minimal style, sink did not drain well, did not like so much plastic in bathroom. However rooms were clean, well suit for function, staff is very kind and helpful. All together would return if price keeps being competitive

It's in a great location for sight seeing, the staff are very welcoming, kind and friendly, and their English was very good. I have seen comments on the room size but if you want a luxury apartment pay the price!! I came to see the city and the hotel is for sleeping, the room was clean the bed was comfortable the shower though small was powerful with easily adjustable temperature, the WiFi connection is great!! value for money was excellent. for a short stay I'd highly recommended it!! Room was fine, quite small but good for short stay, location was brilliant, only a small walk from centre, staff were very friendly but lift was very scary, luckily we were staying on the second floor so we took the stairs, overall would recommend for a city break.

This was the first hotel or place I’ve ever been in Hungary, the staff was so kind and helpful, my room was basic, But I felt so welcomed and I would definitely recommend it ^^

Great price and location. Ideal for anyone visiting that wants access to landmarks and attractions within walking distance. My partner and I spent every day out only returning late evening. Clean, spacious and comfy room to rest and recharge.

Great little hotel, very clean, modern, very well located, quiet and close to public transport. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bright, big enough for two people and very efficient with everything you need for a perfect stay. The rooms are very clean but small. The windows can't open and air conditioning doesn't work well. The hotel doesn't have parking and if you come with personal car, you have to pay parking to let on the street between 8:00 AM to 22:00 PM

staff are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. they allow us to store luggages for free- which is amazing. they provide extra towels etc on requests. love that. our room comes with a smart tv so we are able to access netflix and it’s such a treat. location is convenient. walking distance to tram stops with mcd and some good food in vicinity. probably the biggest easyhotel room i have stay in compared to berlin & london easyhotel. wish they are slightly bigger but it is a budget hotel after all.

The rooms are absolutely tiny, the shower doesn't drain very well so the floor tends to get a bit wet, I found I had to block the door when using it as some water would've gone into the main room. However the staff are helpful, the location is excellent, the bed was reasonably comfortable and it was quite quiet inside too, I would stay there again

Price was very reasonable less than £50 GBP for an en-suit room booked ad-hoc IndyCar travelling from the airport to downtown as my flight was very, very late and I missed the last train from Budapest Keleti to continue my journey to Southwest Hungary so I had to find a room for the night which, I was initially very worried about because it was happened to be a public holiday in Hungary and chances were that most of the similar rooms would have been taken by other tourists already. I gave 4 stars for services simply because of the very limited payment options offered by Easy Hotel in Budapest.

Nice place to rest your head. It’s far from the Ritz but for what you’re paying it’s just right. No noise from roads or other guests and get a good nights sleep 👍👍👍

Cheap and cheerful, comfortable bed,warm,clean and tidy, very limited space, big problem on my 2nd night with noise from next room that woke me a number of times, finally stopped around 5am after I went down to reception to report it! for the price it's a great option especially if you're travelling on a budget.

This hotel has a great location, right in the center of Budapest. Many restaurants and bars are within walking distance and there is a big shopping mall close to it too. One of the best about the hotel was the service. Very friendly receptionists. Thank you Tamás for all your help and kindness.

While help to refugees is great, mix of refugees from rural areas and regular customers paying in full turns to bad idea in reality. Especially in premises with literally zero sound insulation and in capital or very popular cities. Give some suburban hotels totally to refugees, or best 5* hotels if government or someone ready to pay, that I will appreciate. but not mix please! Luckily Google now display hotels witn special discounts for refugees right on the map, so I could choose from another hotels with hooe to get some peaceful sleep after night flight

Clean, cheap and central. Highlights: + the friendly and helpful receptionists (I will mention here Tamás and the lady that helped me with the luggage after the checkout, I apologise for not remembering her name); + the location of the hotel; + the small but cozy room; + the private bathroom; + the overall value that you get for such a low price. Will definitely return!

If was an amazing experience with easy hotel ! The staff are extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Love how much they are willing to help in anything (food,taxi and how to us transport tickets). Location wise it was perfect, you can find many restaurants within 5 mins of walk, franchise like burger king, McDonald's can be found too!! The hotel itself comes with a huge locked gate ,you will need an access card to enter the building, in my opinion it is safe! Really recommend for anyone who are planning to travel to Budapest

Small rooms,very very basic. Good location, very good value staff are very nice, shower small but very hot water and strong pressure.

Easy check in, easy to locate but could have been cleaner in the room. I could hear people staying in the room next door. Not bad for the price.

The photos are representative of the design of the room. However the reality is much different. The bathroom is like an airplane WC placed inside the room. Plastic with no ventilation resulting to a sauna where you cannot open the door since because the sensitive fire alarm will be triggered (there is relevant message at the bathroom door). The washbasin is too small and the water cannot go away, increasing gradually the watel level into the tab. The room is covered with plastic and you can hear the people from other rooms talking. It was clear when we entered the room but nobody get into the room for 4 days. We need to ask them change the towels. There was no soap at the bath. The receptionist was kind and the location was good. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Value for money, but the most important thing that made this rating extraordinary was the personnel... It is also placed in the central area. Convenient for the metro and almost all busses.

Very bad old uncomfortable mattresses, instead of pillows I roll up the blanket! Dangerous for life lighting above the bed! Heating can not be reduced so we got up during the night and radiated so we could sleep. Hygiene is bad! the day I was looking for a printout! Breakfast ok but we came right after 8, all the doses of sugar were empty we were looking for the fat workers 6 times during the cold we ate we went and locked the kitchen and came back. Definitely I will never come again.

"Air conditioning does not exist in any hotel, only heating". This is the statement from Lazlo at this hotel. The room was set at 25 degrees, the outside temperature was 1 degree. I was told if it is too hot open a window. When it is too cold close the window. We asked to move to a room with working air conditioning which is the point we were told all hotels only have heating. Mental! So three nights with zero sleep. This is the first bad review I have ever left, I am 45 and review often. Stay away. Seriously, avoid like the plague.

I’ll give four stars. Is a good hotel but short stay. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are small and lack many services. Still recommending it. It’s clean too
