Rooms are considered good. The beds are comfortable. However, my sofabed is not good. And there are some spider web at the wall. Just walk about 10 minutes to kaleti train station, & very near to city park. There are quite a variety of choices in breakfasts.

A nice hotel slightly on the outskirts of town served by a very frequent bus service. There isn't though anything immediately near the hotel. Our room on the 6th floor was nice with a small balcony, although no balcony furniture, so we couldn't enjoy balcony. The double bed was actually two small singles pushed together, with two single duvets. It was an extremely firm mattress which we found uncomfortable. The minibar fridge maintained a nice cool temperature, and the minibar prices were reasonable compared to most other hotels. The bathroom contained a shower cubicle but this is quite small especially if you are of a larger build. One annoyance is that although they give you a kettle, cups and spoons, you need to buy your own tea/coffee, the hotel will provide these for a ridiculous €5 per day. The breakfast has a variety of choice although it all generally seemed poor quality. If it hasn't been included in the price I wouldn't have paid for it. We had a drink in the bar one evening, very expensive, and the place was completely dead, no atmosphere or background music at all. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Overall an OK hotel but nothing special.

Not bad. Helpful staff. Good food. Small eating area/bar. Can exchange their currency to euro. Room wasn't cleaned every day. Hotel Survey from older resident wasn't collected, could not left our rating. Elevators only work with room key and sometimes they dont work straight away.

The rooms were clean and tidy. The pool area was compact but nice. Spa treatments were available and are good value for money (cash only). Hotel staff were friendly and arranged taxis for us and gave advise regarding the area.

Bad and terrible experience! We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a guy at the reception who was antipathetic and not helpful. I clearly stated and even confirmed before ordering that we do not want a sofa bed. The hotel confirmed that it does not have a sofa, we booked the room. When we arrived we were surprised to find out that the requested bed was a pull-out sofa bed. After we went to the reception, we received horrible treatment from the receptionist who did not agree to help us in any way and only said "I am not responsible, and I have no way to help you". In addition, he did not agree to connect us to the person in charge or the manager. We got a room where the shower didn't work, as did the electrical outlets. After mentioning it again, they changed our room to a lower room. We didn't get bathrobes and they didn't wash our towels every day (even though they say they do) Of course, even after we asked for compensation - we did not receive it. No money and no benefits. The pool is frozen and small, and the hot tub was cold. The sauna on the other hand was good. At breakfast we were seated in an unheated side room - and when we asked for eggs we were told that they were "too busy to serve us" I asked in advance for something for my parents' 30th wedding anniversary celebrations and we didn't get it - after two more requests on different days from different people, they brought them a bottle of champagne for which they were asked to pay, even though I inquired in advance and they didn't mention that it was an additional charge. There is no 24/7 receptionist as indicated on the website. They ask for an additional payment for every detail, such as bottles of water (which we did not receive in the rooms) In conclusion, a bad experience. Lack of courtesy and service, poor value for the price

Ok for a short stay. Spa and Pool Area are very nice, room was not so satisfying as some broken elements in the shower, but all in all ok. Breakfast at 9am could be very crowded and I would recommend to fresh brewed coffee and have some fresh juice instead of Machines.

Nice Hotel with some extraordinary features. Forgot things in the bathroom on two stays due to own stupidity. They never where found and therefore given back to me.

So, if you are hungry DO NOT eat here. We ordered “medium” sirloin “steak”, they brought it, and it was disgusting, it was completely dry, the steak was kinda the most well done steak i have ever seen in my life. I had a good day and i was very hungry, so I just left it here. If there is no rain outside, i would rather go another place to eat. Barmen was very friendly and he was nice. Waiter probably was too tired for this evening service. Cocktails are fine. Wellness - nice, but 25 degrees it was too cold for me. Hotel OK, rooms should be renovated, in a bathroom i founded a mold, and under the windows as well.

The location was good, the room was very nice, everything was clean, the restaurant was excellent. The main reason I gave 5 stars was because of the staff, everyone we had any interaction with was great!!! I can only say positive things about our experience here.

The reason we booked was a spa Facility. The pool and jacuzzi was freezing cold it wasn't the temperature what was written on the wall. When we told them they said I'm sorry madam it is what it is. We can not do anything about it. €5 charge for a bath robe Room were dirty spiderweb and dust everywhere, rubbish left from previous guest under the bedside table. Receptionist called us a cab, Driver was way dodgy ,Taximeter was off. He obviously overcharged us and told us random price. Couldn't do anything about it as I need it to get to the airport. So overall not the best place.

Definitely would not have been my first choice but this was a group trip. The hotel was fairly nice and decent and clean. Some staff friendly/nicer than others. Room cleaned but tea/coffee wasn’t replenished not even towels.

Great location, near the city park.... If you like to live in the center, it's not for you. Nice rooms, but so much light.... We could not sleep at night. The hotel say that you have dark windows, but it's not true!. We had to try and cover the windows with our blanket to get some dark.... Not a great success :( When we complained in the reception, they said that it's what they have... Very rude. The breakfast was OK... But the juice was mixed with water... Very disappointing... I expected a real orange juice from a 4 stars hotel. I will never stay in this hotel again.. There is others good hotels in Budapest, and much cheaper.

Lion's Garden Hotel in Budapest truly lived up to its reputation. From the moment we checked in until our departure, everything was seamless and efficient. The accommodations were comfortable, and the staff was attentive and professional. The ambiance of the hotel added to the overall experience, making our stay in Budapest all the more memorable. A commendable choice for any traveler seeking reliability and comfort in the heart of the city.

Lion's garden hotel is conveniently located near the Keleti train station and you can find a bus stop just over the street, so the city centre is easy to reach. There's also a lovely park just 10 minutes away, in which is the Szechenyi bath. Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view of a church. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and there was a lot of storage space. The breakfast was ok, had many options. You could use a fitness room as well as a pool and a sauna. There's only a few deckchairs by the pool, but it was enough as there were not many people when we were there :) Overall we had a good experience and would recommend this hotel!

There were some minor issues with the room, most people wouldn't notice. Circuit brraker was down in the bathroom. Some other really minor things. On the TV HDMI source is disabled, i do not know why, bad idea. Internet speed is awful, it cannot even load videos let alone a meeting.. In 2023 9/8mbps speed is not acceptable... Personnel is helpful and polite. If you have a poil it should be heated, it was so cold, i wouldn't want to risk getting sick. AC is freely adjustable thats a good point. Having a balcony is really great plus. Parking garage exists, although it does not show up on the website, it is not very spacious, decrease the amount of parking spaces in order to be abel to get in and out od the car without scratching the other car... Food great, the morning coffee machine is not gonna win any awards soon, the machine in the bar is excellent.

Clean, comfortable hotel. Delicious breakfast, pleasant staff. Good location, close to the station.

A very average hotel. The style reminds old hotels of 30-40 years ago. Bathroom was pretty small. The spa includes a small gym and a nice swimming pool. The location is pretty good, with busses every 5 minutes going to the city center and the old castle. Overall, I expected something more up with the times.

Nice Hotel and modern rooms. Breakfast is okay but the coffee is from the maschine. The spa has a great pool to offer; however the sauna is not well isolated so the temperature is quite low. The whirlepool is not hot. Public transport is easy accessible just in front of the building. All in all the good price exceeded the small issue.

The hotel was okay, but the receptionists were rude and pretty sure they charged me double for the city tax and actually called the tax the “tourist tax” instead of the city tax. I will not be coming back here

Not very clean. They forgot to clean our room one day, when the cleaning lady finally came she was very rude. All other days, they forgot to give us schampoo and shower gel bottles. The room next door ordered room service and the tray with the dirty plates was standing there for 24 hours before anyone came to remove it. The breakfast was not very impressive, little options if you are not into pork sausages. Ok jacuzzi and sauna area but pool was too cold. The staff at the reception were nice.

It was a really nice stay. Everything is nice and clean. And the hotel staff seems to be the only people in Budapest that speak fluent english

The rooms and the location of the hotel is great, but it is not a four star hotel as they claim. Overall the hospitality lagged to core, the receptionist at checkin didnt even say hi or have a smile, he was sad and was looking tired making our mood low. Rooms were the only savior for us, it was not perfect but the cooling was a bit lagging. Breakfast was a big let down, all the days we had same menu(breads(toaster was old and not working for 2 days), salads vegies, french toast, fried eggs, jogurt and juices and pork sausage. Spa had a jacuzzi(warm water) and a pool(normal cold water). The pool side could have been cleaned, floor had dirt for 2 days. The same receptionist annoyed us further saying that the pool is not for kids, but in the pool area its clearly mentioned kids should swim with adults. The cab booking from bolt costed us just 25 euros, whereas the Reception(new guy) said that they can book for 40 euros and needs prior booking. Overall wont visit again, please downgrade your hotel to 2 stars.

Nice, clean. Won't wow you in any regard. I chose it because Google says they have an airport shuttle...that was wrong. The included breakfast was so so, but tht coffee was next level bad. There is some automatic coffee machine that makes Expresso, lattes, cappuccinos etc and all it throws out is watery coffee. If you care about your coffee maybe avoid this place. Otherwise it's good and worth a stay.
