Hotel location is good, breakfast is wonderful and rooms are OK but behavior of staff not accepting. We paid before entering and they asked 100 euro for deposit for minibar!!! And while we checked out they didn't even go and check minibar and gave us money immediately. Why they had done this, no meaningful.

Hotel itself not too bad and comfortable. rooms clean, staff helpful. however we struggled to find good restaurants within walking distance that were not fast food outlets. the restaurants recommended by the hotel were all over 1 mile away. however did find two reasonable restaurants about 1km away and one excellent near Heroes Square. Food and drink prices very good value. about £5 to £10 per head.

Initially, I was apprehensive to stay at this hotel due to some negative reviews, but I'm glad that my experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Ramona, the bar maid, was particularly noteworthy for her warm demeanor and helpful recommendations for local attractions. The breakfast options were diverse, offering cold meats and cereals to waffles and pastries, complemented by a variety of tea and coffee selections. I was worried the room may be cold as it was snowing the day we arrived however it was well heated. My only criticism of the hotel is that the room was a bit dusty which had me sneezing, but this is an easily addressable issue. The hotel's location was decent, with a nearby SPAR shop and lots of food options within walking distance, this was especially helpful when grabbing some food after a night out. While I did witness a fight on a nearby street during my stay, I found the area to be generally safe and not as dangerous as some reviews had led me to believe. Overall, I had a positive experience at this hotel and would consider staying there again. I hope this feedback provides a helpful perspective for both the hotel and other travelers.

This hotel is rather 3-star which you realize right when you enter the lobby. Room was normal size, smelly from the chloryne desinfection, but clean. Bed is pretty low with no comforter. Bathroom also clean but drilled tiles,no amenities. Room was pretty noisy, I heard every single word from people passing by the hall to the elevator. Breakfast was quite ok, but having the water with orange sirup instead of orange juice makes the whole breakfast looking cheap.

With the price we paid for our stay here we thought the hotel was wonderful. The staff was all very kind and rooms were clean and up to our standards. We thought the rooms were extremely spacious and the bathrooms were great, was nice to have a fridge in the room too. Parking was easy and it was great to have peace of mind that our car was parked below and we could access the trams and metro right outside the hotel to get anywhere. Can’t speak for any of the other amenities or breakfast though :)

We stayed here in September for a few nights as a city break. I agree the room maybe wasn't as clean as it could have been but, it wasnt filthy, just a few marks in places. The bar was lovely to sit in at night for a couple of drinks and the barman was very friendly! The hotel is only across the road from the railway station. It is about a 40 minute walk into the city centre also. The breakfast didn't have the best variety for vegetarians but there was still a few things to eat considering the hotel was reasonably cheap I was happy with what was received.

Near the train station and very inexpensive. The rooms are comfortable but our shower was stained and was leaking. The floors were also stained and I didn't dare walk on it without shoes. The breakfast was fine but if it's not included in your stay DO NOT pay 12 euros per person for it. It is not worth the price! Located right by the Keleti train station.. which is convenient if you're travelling like us... But NOT locate in a great part of the city. We were nervous the whole time, walking to the touristic areas of the city (45 min away). Would have paid more for a better hotel in a better location if we would have known all this before booking.

Modern chilled hotel. Stayed for 5 nights and had a pleasant stay. The reception staff were polite, professional and helpful. The only reason I didn't rate the hotel a 5 is because of the poor standard of room cleaning from the cleaning staff. The hotel is located in the old part of Budapest about 25 minute's walk from the center of Budapest where all the bars, shops and attraction's are located. The hotel has all the required transport links including metro, trams, buses and trains on its doorstep which makes getting about so convenient and simple. Having a main railway station on its doorstep gives the perfect opportunity to travel and explore some of the beautiful towns outside Budapest and sample Hungary's beautiful culture and history.

Reception staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were good and clean. Situated a 2 minute walk to train station and tube metro which was quite cheap for the tickets. Plenty of shops and bars/restaurants in the area.

The room was okay although the walls looked like they haven't been painted in years and no one bothered when I sat at the bar but the place looks tidy.

Decent place directly across the street from the main train station. Clean rooms. Simple lobby. Breakfast buffet is not fancy, but it was exactly whatbwe needed to get up in the morning.

Great little hotel in a good spot to catch bus/Metro to the city centre (around 10mins). Great service, helpful staff. Room very nice but compact. Bathroom great, but the usual problem of nowhere to put your toiletries! Unless you want to eat KFC/McD/Pizza, there is NOWHERE to eat within a 20 min walk - be warned!

Me and my partner have just had a 5 night stay here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and excellent service all round. Bar was lovely and bar staff also very friendly and helpful. Nice little terrace area for breakfast and smoking. Very central to everything which made getting around easy. Shame they only offer breakfast though but apart from that we’ve enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Would recommend

Where do I begin? So we booked this hotel from the US, choosing a 4 star hotel because we like our comfort. First we arrived at midnight, and nobody was at the front seat, there was a sign saying I will be right back, so we sat and waited. The hotel smells so weird, it has there reed scented perfume bottles all over and smells like they are trying to cover up another smell. We sat and waited for about 25 min. Then we went to our room, we were both so tired that we slept, but omg. The beds are like kids extra leant twin beds. It’s two very skinny, VERY low, very hard, beds pushed together. And everywhere is just a bit run down, lots of signs for prices and weird commercial soap dispensers. There is no way this hotel should be called a 4 star, at most it’s maybe a motel 8 standard. We checked out the next day and moved to a real 4 star.

Would not recommend this hotel. We had a nice day out, only to return to being refused entry to our room. The hotel staff accused us of vomiting on the carpet WHEN WE DID NOT!!! They showed us a picture of the sick (which was never visibly there) and charged us 50 EUROS!! We told them countless times that we did not do this. However they said we could not have our luggage/belongings until we paid the cleaning fee. Very hostile and unpleasant experience. Even if the dried sick was UNDER the bed, cleaning should have noticed this before our arrival!! Instead we were told it was their word against ours - painting us out to be liars 🙄&took our 💰 Advantage is the public transport accessibility and ample heating in October.

Excellent little hotel with clean good sized room. Lobby bar open from 3pm. Only breakfast available. Staff very approachable and friendly however, because they are so friendly be prepared to wait whilst they give their full attention to the customer in front.

I would not be one at all to leave reviews on any hotels or whatever I stay in but this one was subpar and that’s being generous. When we arrived, we wore given the incorrect room that we booked (given a single room and a double room was booked), the staff wore completely uninterested in helping you and rooms just felt dirty even after being cleaned. The room we wore given the painting on the wall was drawn on with marker, the hairdryer only worked now and again, walls and carpets wore badly stained and the room itself had a funny smell to it. It’s in a rough enough location In Budapest so be weary when booking , it’s not close to anything of interest and overall me and my partner wore extremely displeased with the whole experience. The only saving grace it had was tram stations near and buses etc, but I booked under the pretence that it was in a good location and it just wasn’t. The minute me and my partner left the hotel we wore met by undesirables outside it sitting around and drinking , getting nasty looks off people the minute we left the hotel until the time we got back to it. If I had one word to sum it all up it would be AVOID.

It is definitely not 4-star, 2,5-3 as maximum. Rooms and lobby and everything is shabby. Overall it is not that horrible, just don’t expect 4-star. I’m attaching photos of the ceiling in main lobby.

One of those better hotels I have recently stayed in. My room was clean, quiet and really, really pleasant. There is a nice, little bar on the ground floor and location I just perfect, only a few steps from metro station.

  • 3/5 Murali K. 9 months ago on Google
Strangely the bathroom smelled of gutter one night and did not the next night. Apart from that rooms are decent and staff are nice. Location is freaking great though. Right next to the metro.

The hotel and the room were clean enough. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was fair. Heating system was really not functional and hairdryer wasn’t working properly.

Had a lovely 4 nights stay lovely hotel the only down fall was the location bit far out of everything going on its about 30 min walk plenty of transport 2mins from buses, metro, trains and trams would recommend hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located beside a metro station and many bus routes. It was clean and warm. There was a mini fridge in the room with prices on display which was good to have. We were on the 5th floor but the only view we had was a concrete wall across from my window. We had a double bed but with two single blankets which was a little strange. The shower was nice and we had an option of normal shower head or a big overhead shower head which was definitely a winner for us after running around Budapest in the cold all day. The only things I was wary off were the towels which were not in great nick, and could do with replacements and room cleaning. We had left out a sign on the door for our room to be cleaned, but the only thing they seem to have done was make the bed and take away the bin bag. If an empty bottle was beside the bin and not in the bin they didn't touch it. Also normally in hotels drinking glasses would be washed and put back in their place ready to be used again but that wasnt the case here. Another thing was the walls in the hotel are pretty thing, so if you have someone loud next door to you, you will hear them which was only a problem for us at night when we were trying to go to sleep or in the mornings. Overall the hotel was nice in a good location with plenty of shops around (spar, pizza me, KFC etc).

Rooms were comfortable. Perfect location access to public transport with ease. Breakfast a had good options to eat & drink. You can even make your own waffles.

Hotel was handy for the metro, but not ideal being a few miles from town in what seemed quite a run down area. The hotel was fine, apart from the wet bathroom floor from a leak that's been there a while I think, the bed was the worst ever, and on that note I would advise to look elsewhere.

I'll give it not more than 2 start. Can't understand why it is rated as 4 stars hotel.

Avoid. Dirty, very dirty in fact. Staff isn't nice. Rundown area of town, basic breakfast. Greatly overpriced.

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. It’s a 3 at the most. Really nice lobby but dated rooms and the sewage smell was horrendous in the rooms. It was good for a place just to sleep. Perfect location and shop just outside the hotel as well as lots of takeouts.

  • 3/5 Svavar 1 year ago on Google
I'm giving them 3 stars because they're a 3 star hotel. The room was tidy but did not have coffee or tea making facilities. The mattress was a bit firm and was at a 3 star standard at best. The breakfast buffet was OK but only up to a 3 star standard. So, in short, this is a 3 star hotel.

We stayed here 15 to 19 August 2022. Having read some reviews I was a bit worried, but I need not have been. The location is so close to Keleti railway station and bus stops, its easy to get about. There's a supermarket, takeaway outlets and little pubs all very close by. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a fridge and air conditioning. Yes, in some parts of the communal corridor there were minor carpet stains but seriously, if you go to Budapest to sit looking at the hotel carpet, you need to re-evaluate your life! Breakfast was full of choice and buffet style so you could eat what you liked. The bar was cheap for a hotel and the staff were lovely. I would definitely go back here.

Amazing hospitality and delicious food! Worth every single penny. Its even good for groups of people.I have been in the resturant more than 10 times now every time I love the food more than the time before.

Friendly staff and hotel very tidy. Location was fine for us (unlike some of the other reviews) and was around 40 min walk to everything we needed down a main strip of road, allowed us to pass by great coffee shops, restaurants and explore. Location was also quiet and a stroll away from shops and some great restaurants around a 15 min walk away, Only downside is I definitely wouldn’t pay for the breakfast, awful selection of things like bread, sweet corn, slimy pancakes and other random things, go out and eat for half the price :)

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We LOVED the breakfast - these little jam-filled breakfast pastries were a delicious treat to start our day in Budapest.

Staff friendly and helpful however I wouldn't say this hotel is a four star hotel as it states more like three stars. Breakfast is continental with a couple of hot options and for what it is cannot be faulted however there could be more choice. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable enough however they are not the biggest and there are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. You are also not allowed to take drinks up to the room from the bar. God location to catch a bus or metro into the centre

  • 4/5 Sadie S. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel was lovely, the rooms spacious enough, with a mini bar in the fridge (€50) deposit. Lots of marks on the walls and the curtains were falling off the windows. The shower is great, breakfast was ok 8€. Train station right at the end of the street, and the subway not far away buses run frequent too.overall great transport system

AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!! I had a terrible experience at this place. I booked this place as it was close to the central train station. I booked for two nights separately, the guy at the reception couldn't find my second booking, I showed him my reservation and he said ok I found it. I asked him to give me quiet room as I had been traveling for a while and needed a good rest. He gave a room on the first floor right next to the elevator which was super noisy. I asked to change that then he gave a room on the fourth floor which hadn't been used for a long time. It was smelly and I could hear other people flushing toilets etc. The next morning my room key didn't work, the guy at the reception said it's because of the check out time. I explained to him again I booked for 2 nights, he again can't find my reservation. After about 30 minutes he found it and wants to see my ID again. I told him my documents are in the room and my key doesn't work. I saw a lot of guests were having issues and they were getting annoyed. Awful awful experience! Overall service was very poor and the hotel wasn't very clean.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff and nice cleaning services. Unfortunately the beds were 2 separate beds just pushed together so if me & my partner wanted to cuddle, 1 of us would slide down the gap between them. We had our own sheets and the beds were uncomfortable! We didn't have a view out the window nor did we have barely any TV channels working. Also there wasn't many plugs at all. The bathroom was nice and the location was perfect. Due to the main bed situation, I wouldn't be staying again.

The hotel has a very good location. The bed is comfort. The breakfast has a lot of diffrent food.

  • 3/5 Forrest F. 1 year ago on Google
Located out at the railway. Great for matches I would say. 10 min walk to shopping centre with lots of designer names. Rooms are basic but so was the price we paid. Avoid the breakfast. Everything is cold, even the cooked stuff. Nice cheap beer

  • 4/5 Carl S. 10 months ago on Google
Hotel is Def a 3 star..some furniture damaged lightly but clean. I stayed here on my own & had a comfy bed. Staff very helpful.. I was expecting the location to be better but that's my error. Yes there are homeless but no bother at all.

  • 2/5 Astrid K. 1 year ago on Google
+ Definitely not a 4 star Hotel, maybe 2. Buffet breakfast with many varieties and the guy from the breakfast was very helpful. Great location near the Keleti railway and city center. - Parking is on the street and quite expensive. The rooms are dated and the beds are very low. The cleaning can be done better, it was very dusty.

Don’t always judge a hotel by its reviews. Perfect hotel for tourists. Clean room and clean bathroom/showering facilities. Hot water was amazing. Couldn’t fault the hotel as you get what you pay for. Our beds were made each morning and towels replaced each morning. Cheap and cheerful hotel, No complaints. Location is amazing !

  • 3/5 Keith J. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely bolt hole for buses, trams and metro. Clean hotel and breakfast is ok. Our room was on the third floor and had the maids office just outside it so we were woken early by them chatting away every morning. Some reception staff were good others not very helpful

  • 3/5 Andrew A. 2 years ago on Google
Hotel needs updating. Stains all over the carpets and getting a bit tired. Staff were very helpful and a decent breakfast set us up for every day. (No English breakfast teabags though, take your own). Bed was uncomfortable and a large stain on the base of the bed. The cleaning was very poor and the cleaning staff would sit chatting in their service room (facing our room) from around 8am for an hour or so whilst we were still getting over the night before. Location is not great. This is certainly not a 4 star. more like a 2 star and certainly at the lower end of the budget hotel range.

  • 1/5 harry “GUNNER94” f. 9 months ago on Google
Staff are uninterested in anything you have to say, we asked for an extra duvet and pillow as the beds are really hard but was told sorry we cannot do that and they wouldn’t even try to help. The breakfast is terrible, hardly no options other than ham, cheese and sausages. Got woken up at 3am two nights as the staff decided it was an okay time to start shouting and laughing! Just overall a terrible hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was bang on, aircon was free, breakfast was decent and the beds were comfy. On arrival the staff were nice and helped guide us to some good tourist spots and nice restaurants, can’t complain at all!
