DON'T BOOK IT! It's dirty with black mold - PLEASE READ: We totally NOT RECOMMEND this place. The room was dirty - tons of dust on the chair (you don't even want to touch it) and decor, stains on the curtains, dirty mugs, old food in the fridge but the worst thing is the bathroom - there is a lot of BLACK MOLD in the shower which is disgusting. When we saw the room we immediately sent pictures to the host and tried to call him few times but he purposely didn't answer although he read and respond to our message via WhatsApp (which means he had access to the phone). He had ZERO interest in solving the issue, he sent a person from the cleaning staff to us to ask about our PROBLEM with cleanliness and she said that she knows about the dust and black mold but it was impossible to clean it - MIND - BLOWING answer. We asked him to change our room to clean one (there were other rooms) but he only answer that it's impossible. He did NOTHING about our dirty room. Didn't offer ANY solution. ALSO - we get totally different room than the one we saw on the pictures when we were booking. Host tried to tell us that we book exactly this room but it isn't true. Of course we had pictures and videos of the dirty bathroom and room so trust us, it's true (we can sent them at any time). It isn't some cheap place (you pay not less than other places with clean rooms) and this is unacceptable

As seen from most of the recent reviews, the apartment/hotel is absolutely the worst apartment/hotel we've ever seen in any country. Upon arrival there is nobody at the desk. This will stay that way during the entire stay, as they don't even have any staff. The hotel is, as probably a consequence of never having any staff there, disgusting. Black mold covers the entire bathroom, the bathroom floor is clearly not cleaned after stays. etc. etc. There were hairs in the bed and the carpet and curtains have stains in them in 45 different colors. The A/C was broken and the room was 29,5 Celsius, without the ability to open a window. We tried to fix this with the owner, but he wouldn't respond on Whatsapp and didn't want any calls or anything like that. Decided to call booking.com to just get our money back. Only after booking.com representatives made contact with the owner he wanted to speak with us and would be waiting behind the desk. He never showed up. Eventually we just booked a different hotel for the same price, which was way better of course. Quick summary: Owner is not helpful and not present, rooms are disgusting and the apartment/hotel doesn't even have any staff.

Rooms are not so clean. Dust and other peoples hair was found in my room. Towels and sheets could have been cleaner. Location is great especially when the chain bridge is open.

Awesome place to stay, staff very friendly and english speaking. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!

we never met the owner or anyone at the reception we paid a very beautiful room and put us in another one which had marks of rust in the sheets, hairs, 2 only towels (we lived 5 days with the sams towels), yellow tiles in the bathroom (and it wasn’t the colour but dirt) we and the best? spider web on the ceiling. Run!!!

I think the hotel is overrated. Hotel rooms are cramed with everything in one room (toilet, shower, bed) and w/o 24/7 reception. It is essentially an Airbnb operated as a hotel. They have no own facilities, so even breakfast is outside. You get a voucher with choice between croissant or one type of sandwich. My stay was fine, but for the price and valuation online I expected something much better.

If you are planning to stay in Budapest these apartments are 10 minutes walk from Buda upper town and 5 minutes from Cyclo. Service is excellent. Owner has provided us with useful advices two days before arrival on places to visit and where to eat and drink. They are great advices for someone visiting Budapest for the first time. Apartment are clean and stylish. Absolutely recommend!

Looking for unique accomodation during Eurotrip / short business trip? Butik is indeed a good choice. Modern clean studio like accomodation 5 minutes from Metro.

Super convenient location to explore the city, super friendly staff, especially Adam who greeted us and helped us get settled in to the hotel room, each room unique to Hungarian and/or Budapest culture, I recommend the “Ruin Bar” themed room if you can request it.

Amazing room and recently renovated with a big, upgraded bathroom, extremely comfortable beds, and a great location. The owner was very responsive to messages and provided everything we needed for a good stay!

Fantastic hotel, great location (5 min walk from chain bridge and in front of Buda castle), lovely staff and the themed rooms really help immerse you during your stay. Amazing experience for the price, can't recommend it more highly.
