I and my husband been stay for 2 weeks. After 4 nights pass, we been itchy in every night. I have ask the reception to change our bed sheets, but she don't understand. I try my best to explain them change fabric that cover on your bed, she still doesn't understand then I said pillow case, then she said "Oh yes" and she wrote down only change pillow. We have bed bugs situation on Sunday night and found them on Monday morning. We ask for medical expenses that they should pay, but they can only provide us as following 1. Reduce price for 10euro/night 2. Wash our cloths for free 3. Change to new room Once they know about our what we faced, no one say apologize to us. However once the reception manager saw us, she return back to her office immediately. Then I ask for the manager to reception staff she said the manager has something important to do. I mind mine the most important she should do now is us. People life is more important than her staff. Please see how bad for our symptom on the attached photo. ****Updated**** After waiting for email from the Hotel GM, he has no reply back. They gave me just only 270euro for medical expense and ask me to remove this review. Very very bad service from Receptionist Manager and GM with bad mindset for asian people.

THE WORST experience in staying at a hotel. Totally SCAMMERS. We booked a renovated room and they gave as an old creepy modest room without heating in the middle of the December. We complained about it ,and they denied changing us room. So we had to leave

Accommodate requests made during reservation, work towards making the stay comfortable. Instance 1: room was very hot. Air conditioning didn't work. Requested the staff to look into it. No response from staff. Instance 2: Requested a room at a higher floor during reservation and much before arrival at your hotel. Not even an acknowledgement of our request, forget providing it Instance 3: We had provided the hotel staff our arrival time. I understand that your hotel policy is 1500 check-in. However, they may have tried to place us into the room a bit early or give us a valid justification that due to the hotel policy they cannot accommodate us prior to 1500 hours. However, they invented a petty excuse saying due to the in-progress cleaning they cannot check us in prior to the the cleaning was done. However, miraculously the cleaning gets done exactly at 1500 hours. Meanwhile, we were asked to sit on the sofa in the reception area. The stuff didn't have the decency or perhaps training to offer us any water. I doubt these comments will have any affect, but am still writing in hopes that the management take cognizance and work toward improving your services as the industry you are in is called the hospitality industry.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at K+K Hotel Opera and I can confidently say that it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The bed was absolutely marvelous. It was incredibly comfortable, providing me with a restful and rejuvenating sleep each night. The plush pillows and soft sheets contributed to the overall relaxing ambiance of the room. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the bathroom. It was spotless and well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic environment during my stay. The breakfast buffet left me delighted every morning. There was a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, ranging from freshly baked pastries and bread to hot and cold selections. The quality and variety of the food were truly impressive, providing a great start to my day. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable and pleasant stay. They were genuinely friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. Their warm and welcoming attitude truly made me feel at home during my time at the hotel. Finally, I must mention the wonderful bar area. It provided a tastefully designed and relaxed setting to unwind after a long day. Overall, my stay at K+K Hotel Opera was great. From the comfortable bed and clean bathroom to the delightful breakfast buffet and friendly staff, every aspect of my experience was top-notch. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Just returned from a fabulous 4 night stay at the K&K Budapest. Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Complimentary drink voucher for the bar on arrival. The bed was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Hotel is very clean and breakfast was good. Great location, within walking distance to major landmarks. Would recommend.

A great hotel in the middle of the city Walking distance to all the attractions Staff are so friendly Breakfast was good, a variety of food that you can choose from, fresh bread, cheese, eggs, jam…etc. Rooms are spacious and clean, though they lack some amenities but room service is good Recommended for whoever wants to have a nice stay while enjoying good service and convenient location

Overall a nice hotel. Big plus where it was located, walking distance to the center and to the Jewish district. There were a few things that could have been improved, as you expect when you book a four-star hotel. The air-condition was not working and the breakfast was a little bit beige, it could have been more options and variety. The service on the otherhand was superb, and also the cleaning of the rooms and the common area.

DO NOT use the private parking in this hotel if you own a big car. Despite knowing the issue, the staff did not warn us or suggest to park at one of the nearby parking lots (price difference is about 3 euro). Our car got damaged in the hotel's parking lot and at time of reporting this we got to know more people had the same issue just that day! One of the rooms we booked was very hot and the air conditioning in it was not working. All in all, however, the hotel is clean and the location is very good, but we wouldn't stay there again due to the service at the front desk.

My only issue with the hotel is data privacy. They ask and require you to fill out a paper form with personal information that could indeed open you up to identity theft. It is 2023 and that level of Mother's Maiden name, birthdate etc. is 100% not acceptable to ask anyone and dangerous. Incredibly irresponsible management policy.

Fantastic location and great breakfast. The staff is obsessed with collecting all possible data from the guests. The hotel is decorated with first class, original art work but the hotel staff could not tell the names of the artists. A mistake.

I absolutely recommend this hotel. Loved my stay here. Positive aspects: 1. Great location, Terézváros, District 6. This hotel is surrounded by beautiful buildings such as The Hungarian State Opera House, Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem, Saint Stephen's Basilica, the Liberty Square, and the Ferris Wheel of Budapest, among others. 2. The employees were friendly, attentive, professional and efficient. They made recommendations for my walking tours and provided me with a map. I walked 11.7, 10.9, 12.5 and 15.1 km in my full days in Budapest, many of which involved climbing hills and stairs. 3. The buffett included Hungarian food and covered nutritional needs. I'd have liked to have access to fruits besides tomato, however. 4. My room was beautiful and the bed was extremely comfy. The hotel bed that was soft and comfortable was like a cloud that you could sink into. It was a bed that was so plush and inviting that you couldn’t help but want to curl up in it and drift off to sleep. The sheets were silky smooth and cool to the touch, and the pillows were fluffy and supportive. The mattress was firm enough to provide support, yet soft enough to cradle your body in a gentle embrace. It was a bed that was fit for royalty, a bed that made you feel like you were sleeping on a cloud. 5. The room has a hair dryer. 6. The interior design is nice. Negative aspects: 1. The hand soap and the "moisturizer" have citric acid, aka lemon, which destroyed my hands and left me scars. 2. The shower doesn't have much pressure, and the area from where the shower came from was small. Getting yourself wet takes a while. 3. The room is a bit dark.

Hotel is well located in a high class city center area, close to great Opera of Budapest and so many luxury brand stores, as well as many bars and restaurants. Also 10 mins walk to almost all public transports and some attractions. The lobby is spacious, bright, clean and have many sofa and seats, also high speed wifi to spend some time, 24/7 staff at reception who can help you out if you need relevant staff or have any questions. Plus, there is a small room considered as Gym and have sauna for some hours in the afternoon Our room was in the new part of this hotel, they call it “cozy new style” in reservation system. Room was in good size for two people , However, beds were not comfy. Matress were too soft, pilows were so big while duvet was small. Room in second floor was so dark that you could barely understand what time of the day it is, with a view to an empty patio. Overall, great location, very clean, nice shared area, not a pleasant room

I was pleased with the location of the hotel. It's not walking to train station or most sights but with a daily public transportation pass, it was easy to get around. There are dining options within an easy walk.

July 2023: DON'T RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY AT THIS HOTEL Short version of why I rated this hotel 1star The hotel reception staff "Fanni" was unwelcoming. No shower curtain in the bathroom. She did not have any clue on what was available or not. I sent an email to the hotel but did not hear back. They are not concerned about customer dissatisfaction. Now, the long story. The on arrival experience at the Opera hotel has been quite disappointing. The receptionist 'Fanni' (Don't know if I have spelt it correctly) has been extremely unwelcoming. She has no clue what's happening. We arrived at the hotel from London at 11:40 AM. She said we are too early and can keep the luggage and come back at 3PM for check in. We asked if she could give us a call in case the room is available early but she wasn't helpful and said we'll need to come back later and she can check. We then spent the time outside and came back at 2:40 PM. We asked her if the room is ready now, to which she replied we can fill in the form and she doesn't know if the room is ready or not. This was already shocking for us to learn. We again asked her if the room was still not ready and she said she didn't know. While she gave us the form, her colleague was at the reception and he asked us if he could get our luggage. We told him that she said that the room isn't ready but he quickly (within seconds, looking at the computer screen) confirmed that it was ready. This was ridiculously shocking. Fanni said she doesn't know and now this guy says it's ready. We again asked Fanni if the room was ready and to our surprise she said it was ready (This all happened within minutes). She gave us keys, directions to our room and that's it. No greetings or welcoming remarks. Absolutely unprofessional! After we got settled with the luggage in the room, we learnt there was no shower curtain but there were rings in the rod. We called the front office and not sure who answered but we asked if there was a shower curtain in the bathroom and the lady on the call said "No" . She then said she could get one and have it set up. After waiting for a few minutes, I went for a shower and noticed that the hotel had put a sign "Keep the shower curtain inside the bathtub". How can you put a sign and not know if there is a shower curtain in the bathroom or not??? After I took the shower, I called reception for room service because obviously there was some spill without the shower curtain. The guy from the reception asked what I needed room service for and I told him that there was no shower curtain in the bathroom. To which, he responded surprisingly. I told him that I called earlier and the lady who answered the call did not know. He said he was going to send someone and within a few minutes, the room service lady arrived and fixed the curtain. You can imagine how frustrating all this is. It's absolutely ridiculous to see how mismanaged the service is at a four star property like this. I sent this detailed information to the hotel email but got no response. No one contacted me. They have no management whatsoever. Please look for another hotel for a better experience.

Just stayed for one night. Nice, if small room, fully functional with good climate control, TV, free internet. In spite of the hotel being full (100 years celebration of Harley Davidson) the level of service was unaffected. I had suspected that the restaurant breakfast service would be slow but it functioned perfectly well.

Good day, It was almost a perfect stay,, not only if, the staff on duty (Dora) during our check in day 1930H, had made a fold in my Bio page of my passport. I was so disappointed on how she handle such very vital travel document of customers.. I think, it is better to orient them again on how to take care of such documents and be kind on how to entertain customera. It was not a good experience of welcoming us. During our departure, the airport has not checked our passport. But i hope i won't get a problem in my future travels because of this mishandling of your staff. Please, reorient them. . Thank you.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL they took my money via Expedia and will not issue a refund. I have a coupon to rebook but cannot travel. Expedia are claiming that it is your policies that are preventing a refund and only allow a voucher. I have no reason to visit Budapest as the event I was coming last year for is now indefinitely cancelled. Other vendors involved in my trip have a full refund, so between you and Expedia you are witholding my hard earnt money and not offering good customer service like the other companies have.

Decent moderate hotel down a side street. 10min walk to shops and restaurants. Small rooms. Comfortable beds. Average breakfast. Great staff.

Great location and good facilities. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. In general, a good hotel which stands for the 4-star standards. So why do I give it a low rating? Because the breakfast is lower than average. Also, I had a negative experience at the reception desk on arrival. The receptionist was sceptical about my nationality because of stereotypes (I have a dual citizenship). The receptionist asked a few questions about where I'm from, even asked me to speak my language, and wanted to check my cards. Just because I'm not blond with blue eyes. This is sad.

My husband and I had a great visit at K+K Hotel Opera with our two Boston terriers. The parking at the hotel was convenient. The garage has some tight spots but my husband was able to navigate it all right. The location of the hotel is very convenient for exploring Pest. The rooms were clean, beds and pillows very comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional. K+K also has a nice breakfast buffet. We pre-booked the breakfast with our reservation and were not disappointed.

Good hotel with better location and excellent pricing. Definitely worth considering to stay. Pros ✓ Hotel and Room were clean. ✓ Just around the corner of the Opera and the main street. ✓ 5 min walk from the Cathedral ✓ Staff spoke Spanish and English really well and they were really kind to us. ✓ Beds were comfy ✓ Mostly quiet Cons. × The taxi they recommended was way more expensive than the bolt (Hungarian Uber) app × At times you could hear the other rooms doors slamming × Cleaning personal arrived one day at 7 am

Nice, cozy hotel with a helpful staff. Room was nice and tidy, all what you need in the hotel. The reason why I didn't give 5 stars is breakfast. It was good, but nothing special, just basic options and nothing on top of that. You won't be disappointed nor surprised.

Friendly staff, contemporary and clean rooms, comfortable bed. Central location, good breakfast, friendly and competent staff. If you arrive by car and want to use the hotel garage, be prepared - it is not for beginners, driving in and out is very challenging due to the narrow passings and curves.

We stayed here with my boyfriend during F1 races. Hotel has amazing location. Great thing is, you can park your car in garage and enjoy day without worrying about it. Staff is very friendly, ready to help any time of the day. Room was nice and clean, bathroom aswell.

Dealing lost and found is really poor I have used K+K opera hotel since 2003 so many times. I didn't have any problem until now. But I had a very disappointing experience on last stay, so I share the experience. I left my cloth in the guard robe at the room. I recognized it same day of the night of checkout. When I called them, they didn't have any finding information and requested to send it by e-mail. Finally I received reply 4 days later, it was not found. The cloth was business suit, and it was hang on a hanger. I don't believe room keeper doesn't see it. Of course there is no evidence but based on situation I believe room keeper or someone who is belonging to hotel took it own. So be careful own items especially who stay several night. I suggest don’t let them go in the room for room keeping. I can not believe the four star hotel can not handle correctly for most tipical problem that is "lost and found" at the hotel.

My secret little hiding place when in Budapest downtown. Very cozy, art deco rooms, with all the amenities I need. Clean, comfy and friendly place. Highly recommend it!

Wonderfull service & staff, they were very helpful with everyting. Location is perfect. Rooms are kinda small and mini fridge was all empty but it’s ok. My only complaint is; the room was looking to the well so it was so cold because of the absence of sunlight, and the air conditioner was working only at 15-20 C. When we arrived it was working so hard to make the room even colder. Eventually we got sick. Generally it is a good hotel for a good price, would recommend 🙌🏼

  • 3/5 אלה . 1 year ago on Google
The walls are thin, which makes the hotel pretty loud. In addition, the maid disturbed us twice (she just walked in), the receptionist charged a credit card that we didn't want to charge and then had to refund us, which made the check out long and annoying, and room service didn't work. All in all, just ok. But the location is extremely good.

Heating in the bathroom was broken. There was a crack in the sink. They accedentilly gave us 1 bed instead of 2. Laundry was about 5€ an item. Buttons in the sauna shower were broken. Overall very good service and nice personell. Would definetly come again.
