One of the worst places I have stayed in my life. The receptionists are nice and they let you leave there your luggage, that's the only positive. But the apartment is pretty bad. I lived in Budapest and traveled there many times and I always stayed in the center, in the party area (7th district). If you can hear noise, it is because of the apartment, not because of the street - the door and the windows are not sound proof and do not fully close and thats a big problem, because downstairs there's a Burger shop, each time they fry, that pork fat smell goes inside the apartment (because the window quality is very bad). You can hear all noises from drunk people outside (which is the apartment fault, they should invest in windows and doors). I went out, then when went back to apartment, I couldn't open the door, because the door lock is 99.99% broken - I had to call them, which then called security, which then knew what to do, (apparently he is used to it - why don't you just invest in proper doors and door locks?? ) Also, the pillows are very very big that it's hard to sleep (+ the combo of the pork smell and loud noises of drunk tourists screaming and singing). Those pillows are nice to hug tho, but they should provide normal pillows. The bedroom has 2 single beds put together as a big bed, but the covers are very small, and if you are taller than 170cm you might have problems covering yourself. Wifi was ok, and there was hot water, there were also glasses. Homeless people outside is not a fault of apartment owners, and pretty much everywhere you'd stay in the center, they'll be there. they don't bother me in the least and I don't blame apartment owners for that. The price was 50-60€/night - it's too much for what you get. 20€/night would be more reasonable. AFTER YOUR ANSWER: There's no need to LIE about your BROKEN doors/windows/door locks - your door lock was 99.999999% BROKEN that's why I couldn't open it, not because I am not able to open a door. Don't lie at least. So now you are saying that you have sophisticated doors that guests are not able to open? Don't be ridiculous. Just accept your faults and try to fix apartments. No, your pillows are not standard hotel pillows, your pillows are big pillows, good for hugs, but not good for sleeping. And I am a big 6'1" man.

I was bitten by BED BUGS during my stay. I had around 50 bites on my body so I went to a doctor when I got back home and his diagnosis was bed bugs. I called the reception and told them what happened and was assured they would contact me the next day. After a few days I called again and remembered myself. Nothing again. After three weeks I called and was told that the manager would call me back the next morning, but that didn’t happen. The next day I called again and was assured I would be contacted. Somehow I got ahold of the manager, whom didn’t really know what I was talking about. Eventually, she remembered and she said they take bed bugs very seriously. How seriously do you take it if it took me three weeks to reach the manager and you don’t remember a guest who complained about bed bugs? I gathered from the conversation that they’ve had problems with bed bugs so I asked about it, the answer was yes, it happens everywhere, in Prague, Berlin, etc. Apparently they closed down the room for a week and didn’t find anything but I guess didn’t care enough to contact me. Not a great look.

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! BEWARE. Thieves and con artist- stole my wife and I's items from our luggage. We requested for a late check-out as we booked a circus show at 11am, the receptionist declined our requested but advised to leave our luggage in the room and it will be brought down by their cleaners. On the morning of check out, we went to reception to request once again to bring the luggage downstairs to keep it at reception instead of keeping the bag in the room and she said no need, and assured us. Upon our return from the show, we picked up the luggage and was about to head off to the airport but fortunately my wife needed something from the luggage, she opened the luggage to find the following items missing: Raybans, Nike trainers, levi sliders, Levi Jeans, Dior Jadore perfume, Diesel Bad perfume, Levis Hoody, 2x Michael Kors tops and jackets, Timberland Tshirts and tops all have been taken The receptionist was absolutely useless and did not help. She even said that the CCTV camera are not working at first then she backtracked and said they are fake and just for show. We called the police and they provided us with crime reference number. We have a video recording of this horrible ordeal which I am happy to provide to anyone thinking of booking there! We have written to Last Minute, The ASAP – Association of Serviced Apartment Providers and all other major UK hotel/apartment booking services to take these con artist off their websites!

A perfect location Clean and basic could do with a spruce up but to be honest didn’t spend much time in the apartment such a great city to be out in

Seems to be situated in a good location. Very close to the city center. However, very noisy at night. The appartment was extremely dirty. I think nothing was changed since the previous renters. Not even the bed sheeds and pillow cases. They smelled horible and had stains on them. I called the contact from booking.com to replace and he said he couldn’t solve the issue because it was too late. He promised to do it the next day. However we only booked for one night so it was useless. It’s my worst accommodation experience in the last 20 years and I am quite a traveller both for work and leisure.

Great place, highly recommend to anyone. Beds were comfortable, place was clean and very spacious the living room and kitchen facilities were perfectly fine to cook and relax after a day of walking around. Only a 15 min walk to the major sights and the inner city markets. There is also plenty of bars and restaurants around the area if you want a quick snack or beer. Second time being there. Still love it and staff are very helpful and friendly 😁

The furniture is just right, the kitchenware is just as right for being an apartment, the reception justifies the check in at 3:00 p.m. and check-out at 11:00 a.m. (24 hours have not passed) due to the cleanliness of the apartment, there is no shower gel, the WiFi does not work very well, the air conditioning does not have a remote control so you cannot connect it and it produces heat and the filters are dirty, the filter of the extractor hood is at least to be washed (I am sure I do not cook under it) I will attach a photo of this because it is worth seeing and it also never stops making annoying noise. The best of all is the heating, the radiators are capped even if you give them power they will not increase their heat since they are limited, all of this is clearly to save (I see it well, energy saving is important) I am not going to say that We got cold but we were not comfortable either because outside today at about -2° I think it is cold enough for the heating to work correctly, it is good that they limit it but not so much, some are even cold.

Great location, clean and cozy rooms, easy to get into the apartment. We literally had no problems with our 2-night-stay. Staff speaks English and they're helpful at all. They also have a room that you can leave your luggage in if you happen to arrive before the check-in hour. You can choose Agape for Budapest with your eyes closed.

don't book it if you need more than one night. Apartment is very dirty, sheet wasn't very clean, you can't close the balcony door at night so it will be noisy. Good thing is position, but it doesn't very matter. Just pass this appartment.

Lost its sparkle, worst allowing noise ALL night and majority of it to my eternal shame are English shouting - rooms need massive upgrade, boarding on filthy, locks on doors need a master wrist twisting expert You pay cheap You get cheap - and I will pay more somewhere else next time

The only positive thing about this is the location. Room was unclean and had an ant infestation. It was due to the poor cleaning; I swept the floors myself and got so much dust and garbage off of them I think they haven’t been swept in months. The ants were munching on some crisp piece left on the floor. Room was also completely different to the “Studio” one that is on Booking. Nights weren’t exactly calm either, the apartment was right above a bar. Parking 20 EUR is also really expensive, we got it for 8 EUR at a different location. Washing machine was disgusting, kitchen furniture dated, mattresses looked really old and had stains. Wouldn’t recommend this from my experience.

On first appearance thought it was all a bit odd as there seems to be a range of people /companies using the apartment block but had a nice clean spacious apartment right in the heart of the Jewish Quarter and even though above a bar was quiet .girls in reception were so helpful and friendly ...would recommend for a city break ,walkable to a number of places on our list

I do not advise. They kick people out immediately after the end of the rent even if they want to stay another night even if they have the money they kick people out in an inappropriate way

This was quite a pleasant place to stay, a good location and is a close walk to a lot of the main tourist spots. It’s also close to many great shops and restaurants nearby! The room itself was modern and clean with a lovely homely feel to it. The balcony was a nice addition to the room, I quite enjoyed sitting out and relaxing. However, it wasn’t so easy to relax with the building site right across the garden. One of the mornings, I was rudely awakened at 6 am by the sound of a constant hammering noise coming from the site. I was flabbergasted and couldn’t get back to sleep at all! If you’re booking this hotel definitely look for one of the room’s opposite this side of the building. I found the location of our apartment to be quite strange, it wasn’t even in the main hotel building but was a walk across the gardens and then up six floors. This was very badly sign posted and not explained well at all by the man downstairs. It must have taken us about 20 minutes of walking back and fourth before we finally found it. Not to mention, we were looking for it at nighttime and this entire complex is in pitch darkness. A bit scary if you ask me. When we finally got up to the floor our room was on we had to navigate through the black of night going down a daunting hallway before finding our apartment, and finding out how to switch on the lights! It was a bit of a troublesome experience but the pleasant look of the room did make up for the trek it takes to get there. We enjoyed most of our stay and despite the noisy building site, for the most part, slept quite well. That was until our final night at the establishment… we decided to take the stairs up to our apartment in order to burn off some of those holiday calories! The stairs were not well signposted and we actually climbed up more stairs than we were supposed to. This led us up to the “8th Floor”. My advice for anyone considering staying in this hotel would be, do not under any circumstances go up to the 8th floor!!! Why you might be asking? Well at the top of the stairs on this floor is a solid brown door different from any other we seen in the entire building. Upon approaching this door we heard music blaring very loudly. I looked at my partner as if to say “we’ve gone to far” and motioning to head back down the stairs. When suddenly the music coming from the door on the 8th floor stopped. We started to retreat down the stairs when the door was bust open and a woman came out screaming at us. She yelled things like “What do you want!?” “Fuck off!!” And “Get out of here”. It was terrifying. My partner barrelled down the stairs and I ran onto the nearest floor spamming at the elevator door, hoping that the elevator would come before the 8th floor psycho did… Luckily I made it away in the nick of time and I reconvened with my partner downstairs. We have never been so terrified in our whole entire lives. Whoever this woman is, I would stay away from her and her space. For this experience alone I will never return to this establishment but I would definitely recommend to those braver than I am.

If in Budapest it's a great place to stay for its location. It offers the basic amenities, it's clean and the staff are helpful. Great value for money.

Perfectly good hotel, very close to the nightlife in pest. Room clean, secure, booking in easy. Lots of cafe, bars, restaurants right on your doorstep. Bit of noise at night but nothing too bad. Buda part is a good distance but the 16 bus gets you straight to the castle for about £1. Hotel is very good value for money.

First of all, the flat was very dirty when I arrived, especially the kitchen utensils. Also the sheets and the mattress. The cleaning service came twice in three weeks! There were some broken things that were never fixed. The key was constantly stuck in the lock!

It is really one of the best options because of it's location which is very near by the heart of Buda for the night life experience. All the top rated Pubs/Clubs are just walkable from this place. So, no need to worry about conveyance after a long night party. Awesome location, clean and really specious apartment in decent price. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary stuffs required for short stay. Lot of places for good food even late night. Overall, a considerable option for party lovers who is planning to visit Buda. Happy holidays :)

The staff were very nice and helpful and the apartment was a descent size , I asked them to book a taxi for when leaving at 3am which was straight forward but was charged double the recommended price, I was half asleep before realising . The lock on the apartment door was extremely difficult to deal with, I would hope that they address this problem soon.

Rooms are abit dated but it was cheap so worth it. One bad point is the keys can be difficult to figure out.

  • 2/5 Bahador E. 1 year ago on Google
Except the location which is amazingly nearby to all of ours needs including restaurants, bar and nightlife, the rest of things are just ok. The room is little different from actual pictures. Mattress and pillows were so uncomfortable. The reception works only until evening and cleanness is just ok and a bit below expectations. The window had a problem and it was always open which means all noises at the night was double and it was annoying a lot. We didn’t have a good rest at night due to noises but we did enjoy the location of the hotel.

Host were very nice. Room was on 1st floor, impossible to have no light inside, nor no noise or smell. In fact there was a Windows with no curtain facing corridor, taking light from it. Curtains for outside balcony could not cover light also. Just under my room big renovations, new tiles, etc. were installed everyday, even at 9am on Sunday. Smell of burger restaurant at 10m. Rooms were Not very clean. Fridge doing noise all the time. Floor broken tiles. 5 glass but 4 different. Bed were confortable. Cleaning Lady just came once to give me towel. Stayed 9 days.

No reception after 19.00. The KEY you can take from the door man even I ask two keys. Poor cleanliness!!! Extremely uncomfortable pillows!!!! Need renovation. Bad smell from the burgers downstairs all the time.

Good location, the room was large and had everything I needed - a fridge, microwave, kitchen utensils, stove, etc, and was very comfortable. It was clean and well presented. I think the only issue was that it was a bit confusing to get to (they have two buildings ??). The courtyard area was also quite nice, but it was difficult to get your luggage across to your room (if your room was in the other building). The lock was also a deadlock (I think), meaning that you had to turn the key like four times until it opened or closed. Just be aware of that, because I’m not used to that so it was quite confusing. But the staff were really nice and patient with me!!
