nah bro, don't stay overnight here. i like to get buckled like the rest of you, but all i ask for in a party hostel is an attempt to clean. keyword: attempt. the rooms are awful. i saw one of the workers just flip over the mattress when one of my roommates checked out, and he had yacked on it the night before. at least the sleeping conditions are so bad that it makes you get out of the hostel, explore and get so drunk you can't feel the bed bugs that night. stay elsewhere and come to the parties here, you'll get the best of both worlds. the parties are actually decent, hence my 3 stars.

Awesome place to have fun, make friends and get wasted. Super cool, open and friendly staff. The place is pretty clean for how crazy things get there. I strongly recomend it if you want to have a great and memorable time while in Budapest. It's all about partying and having fun so what can be better than that. Go for it !

One of the best hostels I've even been since I started backpacking. Highly recommended if u are planning to visit Budapest! Incredible atmosphere, comfortable rooms and of course crazy and unforgettable parties. Thank a million Big Mike, Sindrome and all the lovely staff who made my stay memorable! Already miss you guys! Honestly the best weekend I could had ever asked for. Such a great vibe and atmosphere in this place. The staff are quite possibly the best part about Retox, so warm and welcoming and up for a good laugh with everyone! I'd highly recommend staying here if you want to see the nightlife side of Budapest, but also if you want to do the cultural or activity side of things the hostel is in the perfect location within walking distance of some of the main sights and has a wide range of information on offer to help you out with navigation etc. It's a simple place, but you get much more than your money's worth for the experience. This place will not disappoint if you're in Budapest for a good time. I will be back very soon for sure!

I spent a couple of nights here and it was the best time I had through my entire Europe trip. The vibe of the place was incredible. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Good location. The staff are seriously the best, one girl especially who was Aussie and she had red curly hair I think her name was Liv she made me feel at home and welcome. Keep up the good work. I will be coming back for sure!

Absolute best hostel I've stayed at! Definitely lives up to the expectations. Staff are amazing and so nice. They know how to party and are more than keen to party with you! Much cleaner than I expected and the vibe was so good! Highly recommend but it is not for the faint hearted! :)

Absolutely amazing hostel, the atmosphere is the best one I’ve ever experienced, the staff is always pumped up and ready to party. Good security with watch-type badge that are easy to always have with you! Only downsides are the common room closing at 9.30 pm, and my bed was backbreaking (although I know others were better)

I love this Hostel!! I stayed there in 2017 and it was amazing, the party the vibe and the people created memories that’ll cherish forever. At the beginning of the month of July (2020) I tried to book again for this place but they send me to Vitae (a family Hostel of Retox) and it was also amazing!! You can see that the stuff is always there to help you and make the best out of your stay. Special shoutout to Big Mike that Party hard with us the three days that we spent there 🤟🏽🤟🏽

Best place ever! We were supposed to stay for 2 nights, fell in love with the place and stayed for 10. It’s the Budapest triangle, it’s so hard to leave. The staff is the best people in the world, they have the best events and overall the best atmosphere I ever experienced on a hostel. Please do yourself a favour and experience this!

I did not stay here. I came for a drink with some friends and it was supposed to be a quick stop. 4 hours later and i was still having a blast! The people are amazing and so friendly. BEST BARTENDER EVER! Cynthia was her name. She’s freaking amazing. Ask for her and be polite and she will treat you right.

Wicked place to come and stay, a must see if you like a good party and good people. Extremely welcoming, felt at home after 10 minutes of being here. Shout out to SJ for being an absolute weapon and looking after us like her own kids. Love the crew here would recommend to anyone!!
