I couldn’t sleep at all, music was far too loud till “far too late, every single night”. Although I love party, I still need to sleep. If you want to sleep, forget about it. Too noisy. They should call their business party club or something and drop hostel.

Never slept here but visited the bar they have. Lots of people and lots of fun. Not sure how it is to Sleep in this noisy envirement. Had to Wait a while before getting a drink. They play all kinds of music and there is room for dancing. Rumor has it they bring out a surfboard and play jazz every thursday evening for an hour between 18-19:00. If this is true, please send me a picture😀😀

This is the worst hostel i have been to. The music i loud directly in your room as the doors that should cut off the noise were broken. Nobody cared. The music and bass is in your room to extent the beds are shaking, as the rooms are exposed directly to partying patio. And till 6! The bathroom was really dirty unwashed for more days, there were even hair in sink. The toilet was broked also. None of people in the room slept This is total nightmare as there is really no opportunity to sleep one hour. They say there is "party" in the name, ok, but "hostel" is also where there is no opportunity to sleep.

Rooms are unclean. I’ve stayed in many party hostel but this one has the loudest bar beside it. Sound travels through the air ducts so you can hear conversations of people walking outside. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone, plenty of better hostels in the area

It's very clean which is a great +, but! If you want to actually sleep at night, this is not the place. I have never witnessed anything like this. The club is in the yard inside the building and while this could be okay, the volume couldn't be louder. Also, there are no curtains for each bed which is also quite annoying as the light from outside and around the room from other people is very annoying.

We were six friends in a single room. The good: The rooms themselves are pretty good, everything was clean and we had our own shower and toilet. The shower was good current. They have plenty of storage in the room and curtains to block the light. The location is not that bad close to some bars and restaurants. There is an air conditioner in the room. The beds are bunk beds. They have storage room with passkey to lock your luggage until check in. Check out at 11:00. The price for one night was pretty reasonable. The bad: unfortunately we didn’t understand the concept of PARTY hostel- they have music and parties until 5 am literally, it’s super loud that it’s impossible to sleep at night, with the bass and the soundtracks, the DJ don’t rest haha. The hostel is built around the main hallway where the music comes from. Earplugs are super recommended if you care about your sleep. Towels are extra add on 2 euro per towel. Verdict: So overall a good place to crash if you like parties and good vibes until the morning, and mingle with people. But if you like to sleep &relax and care about your sleep this isn’t the place for you.

Only 1 star in a total grade I can give just because of TOO LOUD SOUND until morning EVERY DAY in the center of hotel! If someone going to sleep in this, be sure that you cannot do it until 5 AM. Actually other things (bed, service, cleaning) are more than comfortable, but if somebody hope that you'll can sleep, don't even think like that 😂 P. S.: Guys on the reception desk were very professional in the morning, when I put my complaint to them about my last night, thanks them for this!

So the hostel was pretty good located, very very frienfly staff, good beds, good kitchen and good wifi. They organize daily events, but the cool ones are at the end of the week, but there is a daily Pub Crawl for 10E (20E for 1 hour all u can drink but not really worth it). Which includes going to 1 club at the end. My only issue here was the pub crawl and the bar they have at the hostel, the bar at the hostel keeps overcharging everyone, ask in a rude manner for tips when u pay by card and at times they used to not put alchohol in cocktails, and i would suggest they either focus on the staff at the bar there or remove that bar from pub crawls.

Located in a good spot, but it’s not the best hostel for socializing as a solo traveler. I may have gotten there at a bad time but it seems like it’s mostly big groups and stag parties. They also don’t have a laundry service which most hostels have. It is true it’s noisy at night because there is a bar in the center and has lots of foot traffic on the street at night, but I didn’t have trouble sleeping.

My stay at the hive was just what I was looking for! The room I stayed in was nice, practical and modern and had lockers you could keep your stuff located in which definitely made me feel safer and secure! If you visit the hostel and also enjoy a party definitely consider signing up for the pub crawls too! I personally signed up for the bingo bar crawl and went for the unlimited drinks option that you’ll receive in the first meeting place bar… definitely a good choice. They also offer shots out in each bar you go to so it’s definitely worth the value of money! The hostel is located very nicely, with plenty of restaurants and things to do within a short distance! If I visit Budapest again, I would definitely chose to stay at the hive another time!!

Clean Hostel with a bathroom in every room or dorm. Beds are comfortable and the reception is friendly, everything works by card. They say they are a party Hostel, music will be there up to 5am and could be listened to in every room while trying to sleep. Make sure to be prepared for that. Unfortunately there is nothing going on under the week, the nightclub downstairs seems to be overpriced and empty. You won't find any locals at this place but at the weekends it could be a cool spot.

Hotel was very good, rooms clean for that money , everything was perfect with one exception , the BAR!!! Please don't go to that bar , the staff was very unfriendly and disparate for money ! The girls form there began to scream at the last drink. She sells me the last beer and she sad that I must brink my beer outside , with an very unfriendly voice. VERY UNFRIENDLY ! She comes to me with the bodyguard ,even if I didn't make anything.

I loved the experience. Here you can have fun, socialize and meet new people from all around the world. I made new friends and had a great time at the club that is inside the hostel. Also the music is not that loud i had a room at first floor and it did not bothered me. The hostel is very clean and the whole time i was there i felt like i am part of the Hive family. I 100% recommend. Also the location is so central that you can visit a lot on the day time and also have a lot of fun after sunset.

Pros -The location is very good -The hostel has modern fittings -Rooftop bar is nice Cons -The bathroom was not cleaned by the staff enough. Sometimes only once every two days. We stayed in a shared dorm and I’d expect the shared bathrooms to be cleaned at least once a day. -The staff are not very friendly or warm. They didn’t really take us through the events the hostel had or show us around anywhere -The hostel is very large and commercial so it doesn’t have a warm inclusive feeling like some other hostels give you.

Do not book this place if you are travelling alone. The door to the rooms did not work so people could come in without a key and I got locked out multiple times. It was so loud because the club is right below the rooms so it was impossible to sleep. The beds were itchy and gave me hives. The overall vibe was very creepy and I ended up leaving the same night because I felt so uncomfortable. Definitelydo not recommend. It was also very dirty.

Every checkpoint checked for The Hive Party Hostel. The best hostel in town. They even have different activities laid out for each day. Just ask the reception team and get it without any worry. 24 x 7 reception team is also available. Friendly team, good rooms, shared kitchen, everyday cleaning, self rooftop club, downstairs club, it has everything one want in a hostel. There is always some to solve any query. It would be always my recommendation for the booking of hostel in Budapest.

I stayed in a 6 person bedroom (women). The room and the bathroom were fine, but there were two details I didn't like: the lack of bed curtains and the fact that it was a little bit cold in the room. Employees were nice and helpful, and there's someone in the reception 24/7. You can't check in until 3pm, which is a downside. However, they offer a room where you can leave your luggage until you can check in (but no lockers, though, just a room anyone can access) One thing I really enjoyed was the location of the hostel, since it's withing walking distance to a lot of the main attractions in Budapest (Dohany Sinagogue, Opera, St.Stephen's Basilica, etc.)

To start, anything to do with drink packages are a scam- Party Bonkers seem to run them for all the events for most of the hostels. They will try and sell packages for pub crawls and river cruises. The drinks are watered down, the welcome shot's are juice and only have a single staff running the bar which causes you to wait an hour for a single drink, meanwhile the event managers will get 4-5 drinks (for free) at a time and just skip the line causing everyone else to wait longer. Just get the base package and just buy your own drinks The rooms are fairly good at this hostel, the shower was like a pool with bad drainage mold everywhere. Legit had some guy bringing back prostitutes to the 6 person shared room, surprised my shit didn't get stolen. Don't expect any sleep as the club in the centre of the hostel goes late, like 4-5am most nights it seems.

Although many guests commented on the good vibes and party atmosphere in my case there were zero party vibes. They do sell pub crawl tickets but that's not special and you can get it anywhere. The shower was great, room was clean and the location is excellent. Felt safe. The private rooms aren't so private because the room windows were facing the corridor which everyone uses.

unfortunately I had to change some plans in my itinerary. when I contacted the property through booking, it did not respond to the request to cancel the reservation without fees even after 48 hours. definitely, if I haven't even received an answer, I don't want to refund the amount paid as an exception and the force majeure of the situation. I will definitely not book again at this place or similar humanity and understanding is more important most of the time

you get what you pay for. for this cheap a price you get decent rooms with lockers connected to your card, which was pretty cool. the upstairs terrace was a great meeting point and usually the place where the evening started. other than that, there’s not much you can complain about that’s not to be expected: the club downstairs is pretty loud, but we got lucky and got a room behind a little hallway, which meant a wall more between us and the noise. with earplugs you’ll be fine. the rooms are fine but the bathroom was a little gross; someone kept flooding it because there’s no curtain and there’s mold on the ceiling and sink. also beware of the people! i probably signed up for this but i was the only girl with five other loud, messy guys that were only quiet if they were sleeping and no regard whatsoever for their roommates. at some point the smell started to get bad too and our window didn’t open so it was a lot of fun. the biggest upside: location!!! we discovered a wonderful little coffee stand a few meters away and the street is really lively with restaurants, bars and hostels.

Best hostel I’ve been to. Obviously not the place for a quiet night’s sleep, but rooms are comfortable and ensuite. Noise goes on until 5/6am so take ear plugs and request a room that doesn’t face into the courtyard.

I get depressed from this hostel they dont put lights its dark !! And theres a night club and i knw before i sign it was ok to sleep but its not my thing .. but to be honest the room facilities are good .. but the bed is not comfortable

I’ve stayed at party hostel several times , but this hostel is the noisiest one ever definitely.I was surprised. They give you free earplugs. There’s possibility that the earplugs doesn’t work because of the loud music and beats. Personal lockers are good and are closed by the room cards.And they are also big enough to put a backpack into. Wifi is very fast in our room but in the kitchen it’s never worked. That’s why there were few people in the kitchen all the time. There was not labels for labeling own food in the fridge.I stayed five nights and went to the kitchen every day but I didn’t see labels and pen even once. ps. I asked the reception to give me a label and to let me use a pen. And told him lacking labels and pens. But they weren’t also in the kitchen the next day.

The Hive Party hostel was mostly a good experience. The rooms were clean, and the beds were fine. But as the name suggest, it's a party hostel, which means you're gonna be listening to non-stop music until the morning. If you want a quiet place, this isn't for you. We were lucky enough to be in a room with nice people, although a guy who was loud all the time thankfully left at the second day. Now let's see the negatives: The stuff wasn't very helpful, and sometimes a bit rude. They also do not accept credit cards if you want to buy water, coffee, or anything really. But they do accept Euro, so have that in mind. The most annoying thing about the Hive Party hostel was the card that works as a key to unlock the hostel's door, your room's door and your private locker. It kept stop working for no reason, not only to me but to almost anyone at the hostel. You had either to start nocking and if lucky having someone opening the door your you, or else ask for help from the stuff. Upgrade that thing or something!

Rooms are normal, overall clean, liked the locking mechanism of drawers and location isn't far from tourist sights and airport bus stop. I could hear loud club music blasting from 9 pm to 3 am from my room. Sadly, no hangers for clothes near the beds. Good for 2 nights, many other clubs and cafés in the area

I stayed in a 10 bed female dorm and the room was so good. Even though I checked in the room at 3 pm. I could stay in the lobby. This is a party hostel so the music can be heard in the room and I thought this would be annoying. However they have earplugs and the music wouldn't be a problem at all. I really liked this hostel and I can totally recommend it for women who travel alone just like me.

Noisy, but that wasn't an issue at all. Great room layouts (easy to make friends) No Curtin's on beds, so not really any privacy. Good location.

Horrible hotel experience in Budapest I recently stayed at this hostel in Budapest, and I had a horrible experience. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and the hotel was dirty and unkempt. First of all, the staff was incredibly rude. They were always dismissive and unhelpful, and they never seemed to be interested in helping me. I had to wait for a long time to check in, and when I finally did, the staff member was rude and impatient. Finally, the hotel was not accommodating. After a colleague spilled water on my bed, I asked for new sheets. The staff told me that I would have to wait for an external company to come and change the sheets, and that I would not be given any sheets in the meantime. I ended up having to sleep in a wet bed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a horrible experience, and I will never stay there again. Recommendations: The hotel needs to improve its staff training and customer service. The hotel also needs to be cleaned more regularly.

It's a party hostel, so its loud and busy. But the beds were comfortable, and the vides unmatched. There is plenty to do organized by the hostel, boat cruises, bar crawls. Would come back for a weekend.

Good experience ruined by checkout, didn’t know my room number and was being asked it so asked if I could give my name and blonde girl gave me a grunt and an awful facial expression and was silent for rest if checkout until she just said ‘done’. Very rude.

Very well located, with big rooms, great price and with a bar on top floor and party on ground floor. Not that it needed the extra fun since it's very well located to other party places. Staff was helpfull and at the reception you can use an iron if your clothes needed. Each bed has a dedicated locker which is a plus. The only thing I missed was a curtain for the bed. Fully recommend the Hive Party Hostel.

Very good location in Budapest. Very cheap price, too. It is what it says, though, a party hostel. So don't expect to sleep because it is loud! The downstairs is a club dance floor.

Great party hostel with good facilities and friendly English speaking staff. The hostel is centrally located downtown with easy access to all the major attractions. Clean and tidy rooms with varying levels or privacy from dorm room bunks to shared and private rooms there are options for different budgets. On site kitchen and cooking facilities are available as well as luggage storage and access to the private roof top bar. With the downstairs courtyard hosting the Ellahotz ruin bar there is always a time to party at the Hive Hostel Budapest

The party is definitely here, but that does mean dormmates who fall asleep with a pizzabox in their lap, and toilets being covered in below-average attempts to aim correctly. Absolutely not a problem if you're here for drinks, parties, clubs and two-player-bed-parties, but ill suited for solo or duo travelers looking to explore this beautiful city.

It's a huge hostel, so it's not the best to solo travels like me that want meet people. Cleaning is great. Location is really good (except for noise at night on a party street). Wifi is terrible in some places, like my room. Unfortunately I don't wanna come back there, I learned my lesson.

Perfect accomodation for party-seeking tourists: good value for money, central position, clean and functional rooms, convenient bar/common area to have a fun night in. Also many activities (e.g. parties, pub crawls, markets etc) are organized or affiliated to the hostel. Only negative note: the music at night is quite loud and keeps going til very late (around 5am), which makes it quite difficult to have proper rest if sensitive to noise and without ear plugs.

Great for what it is (get absolutely trashed), but I would steer clear if you're a solo traveler or if you want to do anything prior to the mid afternoon, because you will not get sleep. But hey, it's advertised as such.

I spent 3 nights at The Hive Party Hostel. The best thing at this hostel is the location. Everything you can possibly need is nearby and there are at lot of bars and restaurants in same street. Also the public transportation (bus, metro, tram) is just a few hundreds of meters away. The personnel are very friendly most of the time and happy to help you out in discovering Budapest or giving you recommendations. For a party hostel the hygiene is ok, you can't expect for it to be perfect. Also the earplugs are free and you probably will need them, as they have a rooftop bar and a bar right in the middle of the hostel. I came alone and I felt quite safe, but you shouldn't expect to meet new people in your room, because apparently there are lot of groups that come here for partying together. All in all I can't complain, I liked my stay. I was really uncomplicated and I always got the help I needed. I will probably stay here again, if I'm going for a party weekend with my friends. It's been an overall really nice experience for our group in this hostel. It's a very well organized place, with nice decoration, modern furniture and generally all the necessary commodities you may need to make your stay better. The best thing is its parties at the ground floor where you can have a beer and enjoy its many attractions such as billiards or karaoke room! We stayed in a room that accommodates 10 people in total and we had the chance to make some amazing friends! The hostel also has a shared kitchen room with many fridges for your food, as well as a luggage storage room at the rooftop to leave your suitcases after your check-out. We definitely suggest this place to big groups that wish to be close to the city center and stay at a good place for a low price!

The Hive hostel is really clean and the structure of the rooms are really good. I spent one night there with my friends. In the basement is a club. If you have problem with the load music sound do not choose it for resting. The location of the hostel is in a nice neighbourhood. Many nice and good cafes near there. Enjoy your stay 😊

This hostel is good for the price, location, and party, but if you're trying to sleep, you may hear the noise more when the party is on, which lasts until late in the morning. I understand that this is a party hostel, but please fix the broken window in room 215; the room was also infested with mosquitoes, which prevented me from sleeping in the morning.

A very good hostel. The place is great, rooms are good with your own lockers which you don’t require a separate lock; they work on RFID which is inbuilt in your keycard. Receptions friendly and helpful and the bar is great too! Will definitely visit again!

Not the best hostel. There is a bar and disco which is nice if you want to go out. But the soap in the shower was out and they just told me to go buy some from the store. Also there weren't activies other than a sub par pub crawl. Compared to other hostels i felt as if the common areas were not good for socializing.

Big hostel with huge party tent in the middle. Rooms and beds were clean, lockers worked, staff was friendly and helpful. If you like parties 100% recommendable. If you like to go to sleep before 5am, you will have to ask at the reception for earplugs. There is also nice rooftop terrace with some couches and luggage storage.

One of the coolest hostels I've ever been to! The party goes on until 5 am every evening , so have that in mind, but I got earplugs for free at the registration and since I'm a heavy sleeper I didn't have issues with the loudness of the Party. It was super clean and the guys at the reception were really polite. You can get a great espresso for 1 euro at reception as well. One thing that is kinda related to the hostel that I didn't like was the pub crawl. The bars selected weren't good in my opinion and finally when we got to the club the bouncer refused to let me in without the organizers of the pub crawl (even though I had the bracelet and it said in the email that free entry is included) They had already left by the time I arrived (10min later) So there needs to be better communication between the pub crawl and the venue. I was also surprised that there were no stationary hairdryers in the bathroom, since light travellers do not travel with one. (maybe you can rent at reception?) Overall: Thanks a lot for the whole experience, it was awesome!
