The rooms are modern and have everything you need. Hotel is cosy and and breakfast is good enough. Sauna is okay, though there is no bathrobes provided. It is a bit hard to adjust temperature in the room, but possible. The hotel has free water, coffee/ tea and juice in the bar area for every guest, which is REALLY nice! The neighborhood is full of nice restaurants and bars, and also close to sightseeing. I would come back

Fantastic staff, friendly, efficient organized and most helpful. The rooms are neat, clean and well maintained. In the lounge area one can help oneself to coffee 24/7, as well as bottled water. The breakfast buffet is superb. All in all great experience and superb value for money.

Place that has a lot of history and is a good blend between historic and modern. The gym and spa are closed which immediately made me feel cheated out of my money. Room cards malfunctioned too many times to count and spending 3 nights on the first floor but having to always wait for the elevator made it very annoying. Breakfast was mediocre at best but the free cooled water and coffee in the lobby/room sort of make that less of a downside. The staff were very helpful and professional on the other hand and we were allowed a late checkout, which is why my review stays mostly positive. I liked the quiet area of the hotel as well.

Great hotel. I echo all the compliments from previous reviews but want to emphasize a few points of my own. this hotel has 2 rare characteristics of similar hotels in Budapest - it is very peaceful and on a nice quiet square, and everything in it seems very clean & new - the bed, TV, the furniture, the lobby etc. The only negative about the place I would say is the proximity to a metro station. about a 12 minute walk. In my opinion you save a lot of money and headaches being outside the city center but you do want to be close to a metro. This may not be close enough for some.

Hotel Palazzo Zichy is a comfortable and beautiful hotel with great facilities but what makes it even more special is the amazing team that work there. Thanks to Fanni and the staff for going the extra mile to host us, our friends and family and for all the extra help you offered in making our wedding at the church across the square, just perfect! It was our second stay and we will definitely be back.

We come very late in the night to the hotel, The girl in the Reception welcome us very nice. The room was organized and clean, big enough for 2 people, Nespresso coffee maker, a safe, and the decorations was very unique, organized the room every day by our request ,the cost was pretty good for the room. Very recommend

Stayed for a week. Great front desk stuff, knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. Fulfilling buffet breakfast (included), access to hot drinks and snacks later on - excellent and helpful servers. Hotel with soul (unlike chain hotels), history and former elegance. 10 min walk to Kalvin Square for metro access to airport (or 100E bus). Walkable distance to everything. Quiet and safe neighborhood . Great choice 👌.

The hotel is exceptional. The rooms are very spacious with 20 foot ceilings. The bathrooms and nice sized with very nice and amenities. The hotel offers free breakfast in the morning and coffee during the day. The coffee machine next to the lobby nice delicious lattes and cappuccinos along with regular coffee. The hotel is also about half the price of the Hilton and probably worth twice as much. The hotel is centrally located and you can get anywhere quickly. It's definitely a 4-star hotel that I would be happy to stay in again NH.

Very good hotel. Very clean, staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast good but not fantastic. Disappointingly, there was no bar, which at the time was advertised as one of the hotel's features. Slightly off the beaten track but not too remote. Superb restaurant opposite the hotel just yards away.

Very nice and quiet location not close but not far either from the city center. In general the room was fine but the bathroom door designed with gap to the frame makes it a “public” affair to go there. I prefer more privacy. The service was good and friendly but the breakfast was very average. The square in front of the hotel is very charming and in general also the neighbourhood walking towards the city center with lots of restaurants and bars.

This hotel is under new ownership as of July 1st 2023. We checked in that day...wifi was out temporarily but they got a new one rather quickly. Front desk was VERY nice and accommodating. Room was cleaned daily...air conditioning worked good. Our only quirk was while eating breakfast. Everyday a male attendant wandered around and asked for our room number while we were getting food...then again while we were sitting. (Same morning...minutes later) He never wrote it down. ...and did this to most people. I understand wanting to make sure the people going downstairs, into a separate location for breakfast are guests...but he did nothing with this information except make people uncomfortable. (Many people spoke of this) He also wore no name tag....so how were we to know that he was legit?😊

We have spent the New Year there for 3 nights and I could say the reviews I have seen before booking the hotel don’t reflect the reality. First of all, we had to change the initial room, due to the constant heating system noise during the night also, couldn’t rest at all. In the end, we managed to get another room, which was slightly better. The breakfast is so cheap and very poor food quality, but very pricey for what they offer. Overall, I would say the hotel doesn’t have the rooms, breakfast and staff services of a 4 stars hotel. I wouldn’t go back again.

We arrived to a dirty room. The floor wasn't cleaned. The minibar not only missing stuff but had half empty bottles of water from the previous guests (I took photos). The ironing board was still in the middle of the room. Cups with water in and lipstick on the rim were on the side. I went down to reception. The man couldn't understand me properly. Offered to change our room. But by this time we had unpacked. He offered to send housekeeping up. She arrived and proceeded to clean the cup in our sink by hand. She understood nothing we were telling her so I got translate on my phone and showed her it. I asked her to completely change the cups, which she did. After that all was good until we turned on the TV. The cable tv that was advertised was ALL in another language apart from BBC news. Then we went to breakfast the next morning and to my horror discovered they do not have black tea (I'm English so I was quite distraught). I was PROMISED that some would be ordered for the next day. This didnt happen. I was promised some for the NEXT day. This didn't happen. Day 3, I went and bought some. Obviously English are not important enough to be made to feel welcome here. Everything else went well. Bed comfy, room nice. Hotel beautiful

Great hotel. Very well maintained. One needs to stay in this hotel to get a feel of Budapest old buildings life. Great staff. The front desk staff was amazing. special mention for Miss. ORSI and Mr. Levente. Also a special mention to the Breakfast staff. Breakfast was good. Rooms were very good Quality. Just that due to winters, the heating was On and it became very hot. when told to staff, they arranged a fan. The Coffee machine is great add-on Location is very good. close to restaurants and pubs. Walking distance to all places. Budapest is a city to walk and see.

Nice hotel, stayed here for a week. Very convenient location, close to good restaurants and mass transit. Too bad the gym and the sauna were under construction. I expected a small conpensation for it, but unfortunately nothing was offered. I also got irritated by the single elevator, especially in the morning. The breakfast is OK, only I did not really notice anything new. It was the same every single day of my 6 night stay. So overall a good hotel, only some points to work on.

Great hotel opposite a small square with 2 restaurents that serve great food. Good for location to venture around Budapest. The only downside to the hotel was the rooms had dark wallpaper and not enough lighting.

Very beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff a few pros and cons: Pros The location is perfect, everything is within good walking distance, we went by foot for the majority of our stay (no longer than 30 minutes). Soo much choice for places to eat and drink spotted along the way, a lot on the doorstep or on route to excursions. The hotel was very quiet (staying during the week may have been a factor but could never hear outside noise considering location) clean, and a good supply of bathroom supplies and access to coffee/drinks in the room itself. On site gym is small but has everything you would need to get a decent workout, was never an issue of being in use as it was very quiet- tv is very close to treadmill though. Nice breakfast included. Laundry service is available at an extra cost but handy if needed. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Cons Keycard system kept being faulty so had to go downstairs a few times. Also need your room card to access the lift to your floor (great safety feature but also a bit of an inconvenience when the faults occurred). The sauna operates at set times to reduce energy which is great, you can request out of hours if you wish - we did this on our first day and was told to wait around 10-15 minutes but was never turned on, we also noticed that even during the stated times that the sauna wasn’t on until our third day of staying. There should probably be a better system for knowing rooms that have breakfast included- maybe like a wristband system as each morning the staff would have to ask your room number. Only a small issue but sometimes feels a bit annoying to have to do it each morning.

Good location, used the business area but no air conditioning available had me go to work back to the room. All the reception personnel are highly qualified with perfect English. A pity that the bar has always been closed the whole 4 days we were there at the beginning of September. Used the gym and the floor there was very dirty, dust piled up for months and months!

Excellent. Staff superb & very welcoming. Reception area has coffee on tap. Breakfast was well organised, clean, tidy and, of course, good food. Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Only downside is the bathroom door is see through-ish. Location was great. Short walk to kelvin ter tube, liberty bridge and some local food. Would recommend.

This place really looked after us, they really go out of their way to give a helping hand, one young chap, who looked after me when I was in an accident, he was on the night shifts and he done every he could to help. Even went out of his way to provide me with food after the accident I was in. I think his name was Andor, he has a heart of gold, bless him 💚 top service, provided any info and maps that I needed to get about. Would recommend this place, it's in walking distance and the prices are cheaper out that route in certain bars. Nice one 👌👌🙏

I've contacted the hotel twice about changes to travel plans for a family member due to flight delays, and thus a request for changes to car service at the airport. The staff has been prompt and attentive in detail, and this has made my life exceptionally easier. I am grateful for their effort and flexibility.

Almost everything is great. The rooms have amazing aminities, including a nespresso coffee maker in each room, with access to free coffee and tea 24/7. The breakfast is amazing and is 30 min longer on the weekends. The wellness centre is free and they have other free services, too (like a movie service). The staff are fantastic. Everyone is very helpful and very polite. The only problem was the daily room service staff who disregarded the notice on the door handle. They woke us up twice in a 3-day stay. We had the notice hanging on the doo, but the staff opened the door, woke us up, and despite our shock and protest, did not leave as quickly as one expected; the only bizarre and odd experience in and otherwise fantastic stay at this hotel.

We got our flight days wrong, embarrassing enough, and last minute found this hotel that would let us check in asap from an very early flight. Staff were kind and attentive. The location was great. The bed was comfy (and very needed for a nap lol).

A great place to say, friendly professional staff and perfectly located for visiting Budapest. The rooms and hotel are spotless. Great breakfast and coffee making facilities in lounge are a bonus. Stayed for 3 nights, loved it.

It was a bit expensive but very much worth it. We asked a couple of questions and the staff seemed to just take the extra step to help us compared to some other hotels. The essentials are also in order, comfortable enough beds, good breakfast, nice shower.

One of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Great service and just an absolutely gorgeous hotel. They have complimentary coffee and water, which was such a pleasant addition. Can’t wait to return to Budapest.

Located in a quiet street, but not far from the city center and from many Cafes, bars and shops. Nice and modern lobby, very clean rooms with excellent service. Breakfast is also good and tasty, I'll come back to this hotel for sure

The location is really great for this hotel; it's easy with public transportation and within walking distance to many interesting top sites. There were no noise from the other guests and the breakfast was really great! Would stay here again if we ever come back.
