Yummy vegan food, friendly service. You pick a main and a side to put together for lunch and you move along to different stations kinda like IKEA. Food was delicious, the fried kale critter balls was so flavourful and potatoes were done perfect. the decor is cute too. tray returning system is also very straight forward, I would absolutely return the next time I'm on Budapest.

The place to visit for any vegan cuisine enthusiast! Friendly, great prices and impeccable taste. We went there everyday after discovering it during our stay in Budapest. Our favourite was the club sandwich and chickpea omlette!

Popped in late on a Friday night and it was full, came back again on Saturday night and it was empty, the ambience was not as nice and the music was a bit off however we had an amazing meal! The options were very exciting from a vegan point of view - 'faux foie gois' caught our eye and did not disappoint! The food was prepared with a lot of love, presentation was on point and it all tasted delicious.

A WSIWYG nice and quite place to lunch. On your plate it doesn't look like much, and choices are rather limited. But quality is good and its definitely something different. If you're looking for a trendy vegan place, give it a chance! They have beetroot juice and strong espresso's too. Personally I would have liked to see a bit more 'surprise' in the dishes. But it tasted great, so either way 4 stars. Keep it up :)

This is a great little vegan place with a changing daily menu. The Hungarian layered cauliflower with cucumber salad was delicious and I loved the coziness of the place. It’s very cute with its little chairs all pained in different pastel colours. They offer coffee with either rice or soy milk. The flavour of the soy latte I had was great but unfortunately it was only lukewarm. Prices are reasonable and I would recommend having lunch there.

Love this place, its such a relief when you don't need to think what you eat which doesn't contain gluten because everything is glutenfree here and vegan and delicious. This apple pie is heaven. Nice and kind service, highly recommended

I thought it was a good idea to go here for my birthday. We travelled to Budapest for a few days and the great bistro was the first place for us to have vegan food. Unfortunately it was a big letdown. The service was okay. We didn’t wait too long for the food but as soon as it arrived we were disappointed. I ordered the avocado sandwich with tempeh. I already thought that it’s pretty expensive but I thought maybe it’s worth the price. Sadly it wasn’t. 3 veeeery tiny slices of bread with maybe a third of a half avocado on it and tiny pieces of tempeh. The cream cheese was pretty good to be honest. My sister ordered the vegan omelette. We eat that sometimes at home and I don’t know what they did wrong in the kitchen. It was a very compact, gummy-like thing that tasted only like chickpea (I know that you have to use chickpea flour, but you can still make it taste like egg, for example with kala namak). I wouldn’t have been so disappointed if it was declared as a pancake or so. The coffee was cold and also not really good. I don’t know why the great bistro is rated as one of the best vegan places in Budapest, especially when there are places like Napfényes.

I went there a few weeks ago and tried their pancakes. The vegan pancake itself was really good but for the price it was such a small portion and worse than that is that the amount of chocolate on the pancake was so little. It’s like they were trying so hard to squeeze half a spoon of chocolate sauce on the 2 pancakes that I barely felt the chocolate flavor. Also the strawberries on the pancake were slices in the thinnest way possible. I know you can pay for extra chocolate and stuff but I felt really offended for this food as if I’m desperate to just have a pancake that looks like it has strawberries on it rather than a pancake with decent amount of chocolate and strawberries. I hope they take this into their attention and make a pancake that is rich in ingredients not something that doesn’t fill you up.
