I’ve been to many places in Budapest, and I can confidently say this one was the worst. I lived here for four months and a half. The rent is way too overpriced to begin with, and the landlord suddenly decided to raise the rent 20% with no notice and no proof of gas prices going up. The place is poorly heated, you have to pay a fortune to use their precious washing machines and tumble dryer that barely work (even though they want us to pay more than 80K for the utilities, which realistically should include washing), when you walk inside, the parking lot is pothole-ridden, and they refuse to open the door that opens next to the building to make moving in and out easier. The landlord and all the workers are extremely rude. Their receptionist lied about having a meeting when we needed to talk to him, he kicked us out of the room only to enter it a few minutes later right in front of us, it was hilarious and embarrassing. And above all, they took our deposit money, refused to inspect the room, and decided to keep the money for themselves. A BUSINESS decided to take the money of two students who needed the money for food. Do NOT even try to come to this place, as there are many many other better places for even less money. As I cannot reply to your response, here is an edit: It is not true that we are the only ones, as we have spoken to at least 4 of the tenants and we know they are all leaving. We left the room in perfect condition and we still have the list of inventory showing that we gave back the room as we received it. We have not breached the contract, but you have. And your very helpful employees run away when someone wants to talk to them. The day we moved in, we arrived at 12 PM and asked your very helpful receptionist to open the gate for us, but he refused even though it was during his working hours. Of course you are going to defend your business in front of everyone so I don’t expect honesty when it will ruin your reputation. Anyway, the money we were going to use for food, as foreigner students, may be helpful when you lose business due to your unfair actions and poor service.

I would not recommend this place for students who have a limited budget for many reasons: 1. they WILL raise the rent all of a sudden and without prior notice. We stayed here for less than 6 months and the price of utilities went up from 25k per person to 41k in less than four months. 2. The heating was on for two hours a week and it was off the rest of it. 3. The staff are only helpful when they want to, otherwise, they will lie about having other appointments to avoid confrontation. 4. you will have to pay for washing your clothes and it will cost you a lot of money. The shortest program on the machine is 30-45 minutes and you have to pay 200 for each 10 minutes or else it will stop. the same applies for the dryer. 5. the electricity went off for two days and the response of the staff when we asked about the problem was to simply go buy mobile data. 6. when we moved in, the fridge was not working, and it took us more than 20 emails back and forth and 3+ weeks to get a replacement that is basically a used fridge from the staff office. Not only that, the landlord suggested we buy our own fridge if we don’t like the one we have. After that, the man in the reception room was very rude to us and would never say hi back when we said hi to him. 7. they kept the deposit of the room although the room was left in impeccable condition. 8. every time we emailed them about an issue, their response was sarcastic and very demeaning. we never got a decent and mature response. 9. do not get yourself involved with this place, it will drain your money, mental health, and comfort. believe me, you can find better places for much cheaper. 10. I have proof of all the emails and interactions so when they reply to this comment making excuses and lying i will not be interested to argue further because I have no reason to lie when I have every single incident documented by date and hour. stay safe everyone.

Great hostel located in a good location. It's not too far from city bikes aswell as trams. The staff were friendly and helpful and you can buy bath tickets. The room itself was clean and as we opted for the private bathrooms this was clean too. Great value for the price and we highly recommend anyone visiting Budapest.

They are extremely rude in terms of their behaviour. Need to upgrade it.

Handy location, very quiet and no dramas getting in or out. Staff were mostly friendly and the room was decently clean. Not much in the the way of communal areas, but then again, you have the best of Budapest at your doorstep.

For the price, it is what I expected, no complaints.

I highly recommend this place, especially for long term living! I moved in here on 19th of September and I love to be here, I feel like I am in my home country at my home! And staff are perfect, there are really attentive!

Absolutely perfect dormitories for young people! Everything is close: universities, supermarkets, shops and so on. Quiet place and, of course, amazing staff

I would like to inform this place. This hostel is quiet, save and beautiful place. 1. Kitchen and cleaning service are a good thing that you don't have to look around for cleaning services. 2. If something is damaged, it is repaired immediately. 3.If you want to rent an iron or a vacuum cleaner, you can get it at any time. 4. Every day the reception office is open except weekend.

I am going to miss the dormitory. Its like a well equipped dormitory with highly secured environment.

The place was nice and cozy, and the prices were really good. They have a big kitchen and a smoking area, and the room was big and clean. Even though most hostels are good only for short-term stays, this one is very good for longer periods. It is located in a quiet area and they don't have bunk beds (at least not in the room I slept in) and this is a big plus from me. The staff was very friendly and you can ask them to reccomend you free city tours, ATMs and coffe shops.

Decent place for a budget travelers. The downside is their lack of air conditioning. They charge 2 euros per night for a TINY fan rental. Kitchen items are quite dirty and probably have not been replaced for years. The room can be comfortable and quiet to stay in if you rent a fan and close the door because outside noises can be bothersome. Otherwise, would recommend. Staff is friendly and provided free towels.

I feel like I can really recommand this place to every tourist. It is clean, in the kitchen you will find everything you need, like bowls, plates, cups etc., it is in a good place, close to shops, not far from the tram/bus stop, and the people on reception are nice and helpful. The price is also good, adequate for the conditions the hostel provides.

Clean, quiet and well priced with a good location. We stayed in a private room with an ensuite. Staff were friendly and helpful. Towels are provided. The accommodation is basic but perfect for travellers on a budget not wanting to fork out for a hotel or Airbnb but still enjoying their own privacy.

Professional receptionists in the reception. Dorm rooms and bathrooms are all clean. Kitchen with few tables . Balcony to relax. No smoking inside but outside ok. Free maps available. Not very close to the city center and to get to the city need to walk around 10 minutes to get the tram/metro line.

Nice location, near center of Pest and Gellert baths. Very kind and helpfull staff. We had room with own bathroom, both clean. Common kitchen well equipped, however no electric kettle. Very good value for money. Parking spot behind the building (not on the street).

It's very good for budget hostel. It's clean, and have a nice look. It has kitchen with lots of places to sit, 2+ separate shower rooms, 2+ toilets for each floor. Automatic turning lights and chip-entrance system for comfortable entering and leaving 24hrs by own (without asking anyone to open/close the door). Snacks/drinks machine is situated in the hall if you starving.

Have been here for the second time. Nice, very flexible people. Let me stay in the old room as it was better for my breathing issues. Got a good price and they were really helpful. The room is like being part of a flat, nice kitchen, 2 bathrooms for few people, showers and close to the Danube. Coffee machine available. I would recommend them.

The place is very good and the stuff is so gentle. The rule is simple here: it's not a party house. And thank God, because after a long day you want to take a shower and lay in bed.. We have a nice room for 2 person. I definitely recommend this place.

A very well managed hostel!

The service is great and very professional, since before the stay. Excellent structure. I got a room with a private bathroom, and it was all very clean and beautiful. The bed is comfortable, the bedding, the blankets and the pillows are very good. The kitchen is always clean and organized. The kitchen area is also very beautiful. In summer it can be a little hot, but they have a fan for rent. Thank you BBHostel so much.

Fantastic place to stay in Budapest. Clean, with big rooms and kitchens. Honest and serious owners and a very nice staff (the owners are nice too, of course). Highly reccomended.
