A charming villa where his family lived, restored and furnished as it was at his time of residence. Amazing stain glass works. Toilets, gift shop. An exhibition of metallic sculpture in the courtyard.

A must-visit museum for art lovers who enjoy mosaics and Art Nouveau. The ticket prices are pretty cheap (1000 HUF for an adult). It was easily accessible on weekend without advance booking. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Small but lovely experience. Tickets are 750 HUF and the staff were friendly and spoke English well. Most of the text available inside is in Hungarian and English.

Small private museum in the former house of the master glassmaker, restored after being transformed into a community apartment during the communist period. The works on display are what the family saved while living in 2 rooms of the house.

A very small exhibit with limited hours. But this is an important Hungarian artist who would have been world renowned if not for anti semitism and WW2.

We were given an impromptu personal tour of this former residence of one of Hungary's significant designers of the 20th Century. You see his work all over the city without realising it - the ceramic rooftops of many significant buildings and churches

Small museum but the pieces were enchanting. Got some postcards from their small selection of souvenirs; I wish they had some kind of stained glass or mosaic trinket as a souvenir, but it's a small operation so can't imagine the funding allows for much creativity for souvenirs.

The artist's living rooms have original furniture. It was a pleasure to see this beautifully decorated museum. (Original) Csodálója vagyok Róth Miksa művészi munkáinak! The Roth Miksa Museum is small and has beautiful works of stain glass and mosaic by mosaicist and stained glass artist Miksa Roth. The building itself is a peaceful place to visit.

A lovely little museum a few blocks behind New York Cafe - it includes some late 19th/turn of century stained glass and home of artist. The work includes stunning etching, and stained glass works which look quite contemporary. Inexpensive to get in & well worth an hour of your time if you like art.

(Translated by Google) I really liked. The miracles of the night can not be filled with glasses. They are very elaborate. There is also a mosaic. I can be down there all the way. On the top floor, we can win a little bit of a little bit of a roth. The biscuits on the floor were not only made of o alltala, but were also made by the mornings that were occupied by the collection. The epule is in a very good condition, and it is the place where it is located. Elotte wont be mas muveszekbeloadasa when we were the gerrilla statue on the stage. (Original) Nagyon tetszett.

Beautiful place! Unexpected also. It used to be the house of Róth Miscka. I visited the free entrance day but still worth to pay to check it out. It’s well conserved, staff was nice and the interior was interesting. Finally my doubts about the style of glass mosaics in Hungary has been cleared. It was his influence! 🙌🏻 Go before they close until 2023.

A beautiful museum of the famous glass painting artist Róth Miksa ...definitely worth a visit

  • 3/5 Enzia 6 months ago on Google
Overall the museum was disappointing in regards to the way they take care of the house and also the way other museum activités and spaces are taken by didactic activities to the detriment of what is left to be seen by visitors. So a very small space is actually available and have some original glass pieces ( some are photos or collages of the art work). Sketchy explanations of the different technique Roth used for his stained glass and mosaic work. There are few beautiful pieces there so don’t get me wrong. Enjoy the uniqueness of these pieces but don’t expect that you will learn more/ or that much information is displayed or shared with you.

Quite a small museum, some of the room sets aren't much but there are some lovely examples of Miksa Róth's mosaics. The best examples though are on buildings around Budapest.

A tiny but nice museum with extraordinary Jugendstil style glasswork of an excellent glass artist. It will take you an hour to study the collection, and the entry fees are moderate. I recommend visiting it if you like the Jugendstil style.

It seems small and simple, but it is full of works. It is close to Budapest Keleti Station. I left my luggage and looked around in the time I had left before catching the train. On certain days of the week, various events such as concerts are held in the small garden. I am glad I stopped by before leaving on the last day, but I knew it in advance. It was a shame that I couldn't do it. It's comfortable because there's no one inside. There's a place to sit.

Interesting mosaic and stained glass work. We were there as part of a tour group and it's hard to see things in a large group as the rooms are small. Also half the musem is up a fairly steep flight of stairs and there is no lift so it's not suitable for anyone who has difficulty walking up or down stairs.
