Dr. Czirok my diabetes specialist at First Med provided quality care in English language. Her high level of English also availed the ability to listen carefully to the complications that arose. I went to sleep with a scratchy throat but woke up with a very sore throat, and called First Med who were careful to screen me for symptoms of Covid on the phone before allowing me to make an Appt., but low and behold it was suggested that a Telemedical conference might work for a preliminary screening and it did!! Talk about fast and secure and I didn't have to go out and brave the cold weather, I easily paid online, my prescription was posted city-wide and I was able to choose the nearest pharmacy and have to filled, all within an hour! Great service!!! It really seems like everyone cares at First Med, from the first receptionist I spoke to at 6:00 am who was patient with me while I was hurting and grouchy, to the receptionist at 9, and then the video conference at noon with a doctor who was so great he insisted on having me shine my own phone's flashlight down into my throat to see my swollen tonsils for himself, and then he moved forward with my diagnosis and treatment. Really a blessing to have these professionals available when things like this come up!!!

This is a really great medical centre. Usually not long wait times and the staff are all really friendly and helpful. The only reason that I am not giving 5 stars is because I think it is ridiculous that you have to pay for a consultation so that the doctor can explain your test results too you. I have been travelling to various countries over the past 9 years and I can tell you, this is the ONLY place where you have to pay to have your results explained to you. Not cool. But other than that, a very professional and clean medical centre.

We are a family of five people. We have all needed FirstMed's services during the four years in Budapest. It has been our number one place to go for any medical needs. There is also a dentist clinic in the same premises and we have used that as well, but technically it is a separate company. Service at FirstMed has been consistently good. The only complaint is that sometimes we have had to wait even if we had booked an appoitment, but mostly appointments have started on time. At the dentist, not so much. What comes to the medical care, professionalism and English language, they are very good and I have absolutely nothing to complain.

I am writing to share my disappointing experience at FirstMed Clinic, particularly with Mr. Crow, the owner and supervisor. The clinic's lack of patient-centered care and prioritization of profits over well-being is deeply concerning. My recent encounter at FirstMed has been unsatisfactory, especially regarding the mishandling of my prescription refill request. I have tried other private healthcare providers in Budapest but I must say that FirstMed is simply outstanding. There is pay-as-you-go but I recommend one of the comprehensive annual plans which are fantastic value for money and include multiple consultations with general practitioner and/or specialists, lab diagnostics, and checkups. Added to this is a helpful and efficient call centre for appointments (which can easily be the same day!), weekend and evening service, teleconsulting and online prescription renewal, and a professional medical team with perfect language skills and who are dedicated to take time with you and treat you as a valued patient. I have had only highly satisfactory experiences.

I originally use the FirstMed clinic in Rome however recently during a prolonged stay in Budapest for my partners work I also visited the Firstmed clinic here. I was very happy with the service and the amazing staff. And I will continue to use FirstMed whilst visiting both countries.

Avoid this clinic if you have time, better find more responsible staff. The main pros: qualified pedeatrician. But the cons are more numerous: unresponsive staff in case they are mistaken they won't try to solve the problem, will ignore you, even no "sorry" ( they can't complete my child analysis and doesn't return any money I spent on it). Beware and save your money and time by avoiding them!

I paid a lot of money for an orthopaedic doctor. I’ve had good experiences from first med in general, but do not go here for anything orthopaedic related. I sprained my back to the third degree, and the doctor completely missed my injury, and ordered the mri to the wrong part of my back, so the injury was completely missed. You will have complete peace of mind afterwards If I can do it – so can you - do not be afraid! DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. They are extremely unprofessional and not as advertised. I had initially visited one of their GPs due to skin irritation. This GP examined me in a very rushed manner and misdiagnosed me with a potentially very serious skin condition. Because I left the clinic with a bad feeling about this GP, I scheduled another appointment with a different GP. This other GP was better and told me that the first GP's diagnosis was wrong. He said I just had mild skin irritation from the hot weather. There is a BIG difference between a serious skin condition and mild irritation due to the weather. Additionally, I also asked this 2nd GP to check my eye. He checked and examined my eye and told me "there is nothing wrong" and that he sees "no symptoms of anything wrong." He prescribed me antibiotic eye drops so I could have a prescription just in case things got worse. FirstMed emails patients a doctor's report a few hours after the end of the appointment. When I went home and received this report, I was shocked because it said that the doctor diagnosed me with a potentially very serious eye condition. This made no sense because when I saw the doctor in person, he told me my eye was fine and NEVER mentioned anything regarding the condition he diagnosed me with in the report. As the supposed "leading English-speaking clinic in Budapest" (this is what they say on their website), I went to FirstMed for answers. Instead, I left with more questions. Now about the customer service. I called them today in the early morning because I wanted clarity from the doctor. Why would he tell me my eye is fine and then later diagnose me with a serious eye condition that he never mentioned in person? The person speaking to me on the phone had a bad attitude, but I won't focus on that. After explaining my situation, this person said that the doctor would give me a call. I asked what time the doctor comes in and she said 1:30pm. This call happened before 9:30am. At 5:52pm, I called FirstMed because I received no call from the doctor. The lady that answered said that the doctor had left for the day and was no longer at the clinic. Everything I said above is 100% factual and true. FirstMed is unprofessional, disappointing, and a waste of time. I highly recommend that any potential patients reading this review go to a different clinic. To give you context, I had an email exchange with FirstMed in which they admitted that both doctors gave a misdiagnosis and called this mistake “truly embarrassing.” To anyone reading this, stay away from FirstMed. If you want good healthcare, you should go somewhere else.

Dr. Boros and staff were kind and accommodating when we took our young son to the clinic for an exam. He is frightened of doctors and procedures, but they were all kind and helpful as they accomplished their duties.

Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Spoke good English. Facilities were clean and looked well maintained. Easy accessable by public transportation.

Compared with my experiences of state healthcare, I have found the services provided by FirstMed to be much easier and less stressful to handle. I have not had to call upon the help of friends to navigate my way around appointments because I can use my first language in all communications. I feel listened to by all medical staff and appointments are long enough to deal with all my issues and at a convenient time to fit in with my work commitments. I cannot recommend FirstMed highly enough.

We could take a vaccination for travel as a foreign people. We contacted with some hospitals but only this hospital replied quickly. This hospital opens in weekend. Actually we had a small problem, but they were sincere and honest. We hope that this hospital literally become the first medical institution in Budapest.

Every time I walk in, I am met with stellar customer care and service. From the reception to the doctors/nurses, everyone is professional, welcoming, and has time to listen. No one ever wants to have to visit a doctor, but FirstMed works hard to ensure I have the best experience every time I am there. You guys are role models for customer care! Highly recommend!

I would never recommend this hospital because their charges are not transparent at all, my wife made an appointment for a routine blood test and ended up charging 93,000 HUF which is about 245 EUR. whereas the same test would only cost 28,000 HUF at Medicover. when my wife asked them why they were charging so much, she did not get a reasonable feedback. Now I also sent an email to them to explain the reasonableness of their pricing logic, let's see how they are going to reply.

I personally had a good experience: I don’t speak Hungarian and the doctor did speak English and explained everything to me. Furthermore, he seemed like he cared about what was happening to me and that is a plus. Very happy with the service.

Everything went well, the staff and the doctor was very friendly and informative.

The best thing for me was that FirstMed have direct contact with my private medical insurance (Aetna) so I didnt have to pay anything and they sorted it out themselves after I showed them my insurance card. The doctor was very nice and professional - asked questions and I felt like I was listened to when I was answering them. The waiting times are also very short.

Came with solid recommendations, but absolutely horrible medical service. We went for COVID 19 PCR tests and received our results directly from the lab the following day with all family members testing negative. Next morning they reversed one of the test results to positive. I asked for reimbursement to get another PCR tests administered in a different lab since the lab they were using sent contradictory results from one day to the next. They denied it. We did 2 additional tests on that very same day when they reversed our negative pcr to positive and from both labs we received negative results. Almost ruined our travel plans and they were unapologetic about it. Horrible customer service, rude front office and reception. Nightmare of a place

I have Covid and wanted to ask for feedback about possible scenarios/ treatments. I got an appointment and had technical issues right away which was not solved, I needed to call back on a landline. Then from the precious 30,000 Forint appointment we spent more time on their questionnaire than on the issue and consequences. IT WAS A FAT WASTE OF TIME. Then registering on their website failed for their technical reasons so I could not even access my $95 file & "advice" of resting. SERIOUSLY??? and they said if I get worse call back any time for another $95 for 20 minutes ... Never again.

I was a patient of First Med many years ago and *may* become one again. I emailed First Med via the form on their website to make an appointment - I specified which doctor - I did not receive a response for a few days. I called them today. I asked to make an appointment with a doctor. The young woman said there is one appointment with her this week (great! but I can't go at that time) then the receptionist said that the doctor will be here in July but they don't have her schedule so I need to call next week once the doctor's schedule is known. Okay. I generously gave them the benefit of the doubt that this might explain why they did not get back to me from my form inquiry. Then I asked how much a one-off appointment would be and she went to check with her colleagues, came back and said "64,000 HUF" which I clarified is for 30 minutes. So, the doctor is being billed at nearly $350/hour in Hungary.... So then I asked if there were some kind of pre-approval forms that they provide so that I can get the appointment pre-approved from my insurance company - after a little bit of silence SHE HUNG UP. I called back and isn't it funny... no one picked up the phone. What a surprise! IF there is management reading these posts who thinks there is room for improvement and will manage the implementation of new best practices for the team, the phone call was at roughly 4:45pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

We have been very satisfied with the excellent care we have received at FirstMed: the ease of making appointments and billing, and above all, the patient care and followup. We are grateful to have this resource in Budapest.

The clinic is nice and was very welcoming up until my sister entered Dr. Agnes Hegedüs where she was literally treated like trash. She was fat shamed, miss treaded and completely bullied by this doctor when all she needed was a second opinion and insulin prescription (my sister is diabetic). She rolled her eyes at her all the time and didn't even provided with solutions.

Usually good center with nice staff. I had a bad experience with a Dr ( GZ ) who forget a patient is NOT "patient "but a "guest", and that basic education (looking at the patient instead of only his computer ) is valid for him too.

Saturday and Sunday open, make an appointment in the morning and afternoon to see the doctor. Awesome... 👍🏼
