I have been insured for several years, but every time I used the services of a clinic, I experienced the same thing: doctors question the patient superficially, then after the second sentence they grab a keyboard and start typing crazy, from now on it is unnecessary to speak, almost not hear. A study of approx. 10 minutes, of which roughly 3 minutes is substantive doctor-patient communication. It is positive that they are referred immediately for any imaging examination, really within a short time, but unfortunately the evaluation of the results (which the doctor reads 2 minutes before the patient is called in) is as superficial and meaningless as the first visit. The problem somewhere is that Medicover is not an individual insurer but provides company employees in groups, so it is completely irrelevant whether an individual patient is satisfied with the service because if it is not, the company will not terminate the collective agreement. From now on, you can go for conveyor-like patient care, expelling the patient with meaningful time and answers, but mostly without consequences. I get it from my job as a fringe benefit, the HUF 0 I pay for the service is well worth it, but if I even had to pay for these superficial, nonsensical examinations occasionally, I would definitely get out of trouble. (Original) Negatív véleményem sajnos nem egy konkrét, hanem több, egymástól független szakorvosi vizsgálat együttes tapasztalatán alapszik. Több éve vagyok biztosított, de minden alkalommal, amikor igénybe vettem valamelyik klinika szolgáltatását, ugyanazt tapasztaltam: az orvosok felszínesen kérdezik ki a beteget, majd a második mondat után billentyűzetet ragadnak és őrült gépelésbe kezdenek, innentől már felesleges is megszólalni, szinte meg sem hallják. Egy vizsgálat kb. 10 perc, amiből nagyjából 3 perc az érdemi orvos-beteg kommunikáció. Pozitív, hogy azonnal beutalnak bármilyen képalkotó vizsgálatra, tényleg rövid időn belül, de sajnos az eredmények kiértékelése (amiket az orvos a beteg behívása előtt 2 perccel olvas el) ugyanolyan felszínes és semmitmondó, mint az első vizit. A probléma valahol ott van, hogy Medicover nem egyéni biztosító, hanem cégek dolgozóit biztosítja csoportosan, így teljesen lényegtelen, hogy az egyes beteg elégedett-e a szolgáltatással, mert ha nem az, attól még a cég nem fogja felbontani a kollektív szerződést. Innentől kezdve mehet a futószalagszerű betegellátás, a beteg kitessékelése érdemi időráfordítás és válaszok, de főleg következmények nélkül. Béren kívüli juttatásként kapom a munkahelyemtől, azt a 0Ft-ot, amennyit fizetek a szolgáltatásért, pont megéri, de ha ezekért a felszínes, semmitmondó vizsgálatokért még fizetnem is kellene alkalmanként, biztosan kiverném a balhét.

    Doctors are way below PROFESSIONAL level, that does not correspond to the level of medical services in EU. Reception staff were USELESS and UNFRIENDLY! Customer service is TERRIBLE, if you have a complaint you will never get reply. For such high price, you would expect different level of service and professionalism! Only stress, waste of money and time! You should definitely FIND ANOTHER clinic!

    Swedish health insurance company operating a hospital and health centre with a wide range of paid health services rendered to companies and private individuals. Medicover works efficiently and quickly compared to Hungarian State Health Service. Visitors can get appointment over the phone. The clinical findings are sent over the Internet. It was the first time I connected this institution and I recommend to everyone who would like to enjoy professional and attentive health service.

    Wrong info. Regarding many processes. Drink, don't drink, eat, go to the toilet. The length of the process. 15-30 minutes. Or 50 minutes. No! 75 bloody minutes. PROS:bright, professional, easy access, free parking. BIG CONS: no.coffee machine, no snacks. Private places like this always have free coffee at hand. Basics. Also, no clear markings from the parking lot OR in the elevator, so stopping at all wrong levels before reaching the right one.

    I came to Medicover in early January. From the time I got there I found them friendly and nice. Dr Oláh Csaba was highly professional and was able to set out a strategy for the next 6 weeks until the operation, including medication to take etc. On the day of the operation I found the nursing staff very friendly and nice (seeing I don't speak Hungarian). They made me feel at ease with a friendly smile and always said the right words at the right time. I experienced a great team effort during my operation as well as great after care with lots of encouragement from both doctors and nurses. They kept my wife up to date with how the operation was going and made sure that we both felt safe and cared for. I really can't thank the team enough. A special thank you to my Doctor Oláh Csaba and Naomi and Évi who were the nurses I saw the most. Procedure prices are very reasonable too and from the first minute till the last, everyone showed a high level of professionalism. I definitely recommend this place.

Regarding doctors, I also have a worse experience in outpatient care, which I think is the personal fault of that doctor; this should be indicated to patients to ensure that the quality of the system is maintained. However, I can only speak in superlatives about Dr. Csaba Oláh, who performed my surgery. After surgery, almost zero pain, maximal empathy in the studies. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone in any field in which the doctor is competent. Excellent doctor! Special thanks also to Dr. József Kromerenczki, an anesthesiologist (zero malaise after waking up) and to the nurses in the inpatient department of the Hospital.     Having just received the response to my complaint, I strongly suggest that anyone with a medical condition keep clear of this establishment. Not only did the Doctor provide a different version of events than what actually occurred but went as far as listing medication that he stated he prescribed which is totally untrue. Be aware that you may have to undergo multiple consultations and pay multiple times, which was not mentioned to me at all. I have never had such a poor experience with so called professionals in my life. KEEP CLEAR

    Ridiculous service, only trying to get the most money possible out from the patients, no written response to complaints, only phone calls. Booked a gastroenterologist, and they sent me to some doctors, and then it turned out they did not send me to the proper doctor at all - of course for a huge sum of money - and when I tried to get at least an explanation about why this happened, they tried to fully gaslight and tell me I went to the wrong doctor! Are you kidding me? I said who I needed and got booked to a different one, how is that my fault?? Also, giving out your statements in a phone call instead of written form is utterly unacceptable, unprofessional and ridiculous. Maybe you should consider why there are so many bad reviews.

    I asked for an appointment, stressing that the stress test and blood test should take place on one of the mentioned days, because it is IMPORTANT. If it doesn't work out, I'll go to someone else. They said they would search. They have been looking for me ever since :) :) :)

    If you’re not Hungarian or don’t speak the language be aware to this Insurance because it’s an SCAM. They offer services in English which is basically staff looking at google translator!!! Not all doctors speak English, technicians, etc.Actually, unbelievable they want charge you 10.000ft if you want results of your test in English, because they told me that the clinic it’s just for Hungarian.     1.NO BOOKING PLATFORM AVAILABLE IN 2022! 2. NOT RECEIVING EMERGENCY CASES! 1.In what universe a private healthcare provider in 2022 does not have a booking platform? Every time you need to book an appointment it's a cumbersome process of checking back and forth the availabilities with the agents at the call center. 2. On top of that, today I had an emergency eye infection and I had to see a doctor ASAP, yet the call center agent offered me earliest appointment options of weeks later and claimed that they cannot access emergencies. I've been paying Medicover Family insurance for 2 years now and the first time I had a real health issue, they declined to see me. Well, I'll make sure not to renew my membership next year! What's the point really - by the time I get to see a doctor I will lose my eye! I understand that doctors may be fully booked, but shouldn't a healthcare provider like this create a schedule with a buffer for their doctors so that they can receive patients that need immediate treatment? To make matters worse the call center agent told me that I can call back tomorrow to see if there is any cancelation for this week - but at the same time they cannot be bothered to call me back as soon as a slot opens! Well, surely I can keep calling you dear every hour or even holding you in the line for the whole day in the event of anyone canceling - but come on, both of us wouldn't need to go though all this if there was a booking platform available in the first place that I could be checking from time to time manually or even giving me the option as a customer to set an auto-notification trigger in such an event of cancelation.THANKS BUT NO THANKS

    I had an absolutely ridiculous experience with Medicover. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs. It is nearly impossible to get an appointment with them, and their customer service is extremely lacking. Every time I called, they were clueless, unable to assist, and promised someone would call me back, which never happened. The receptionist seemed completely useless and lacked any knowledge or ability to help. I visited the center for a blood test and gastroenterology consultation. Days before my appointment, I tried contacting them to modify my blood test for a more thorough diagnosis, but they were utterly unhelpful. They had no idea which package to recommend and told me to check their website. Even upon arriving at the center and informing the receptionist of my request, she couldn't assist and directed me upstairs. The level of incompetence and lack of coordination was incredibly frustrating. During my appointment, I explained to the nurse that I needed to modify my package. Instead of offering support, she blamed me for not addressing it earlier and told me to ask at the reception. She rushed through the blood draw in just five minutes, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. Shockingly, she didn't even wear gloves while taking my blood, raising serious concerns about hygiene. Furthermore, when I needed to schedule a gastroenterology procedure (commonly referred to as a "stomach mirror"), I couldn't make an appointment at the reception. I was instructed to call a call center, where the representative couldn't provide me with an appointment, assuring me that someone would call back. Despite emphasizing the urgency due to my limited stay in the country, I never received a call. Multiple follow-up attempts have been fruitless, leaving me without the necessary medical attention. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had within the medical industry. I paid a significant amount of money, expecting better service, but it was worse than what one would even receive from a free medical service. I strongly urge anyone seeking quality care and wanting to save their nerves and money to avoid this place.

Also, they turned me down without seeing me. So how did they know that I have a condition that they cannot deal with without any details? Unprofessional. Very disappointed.

    Not satisfied at all. Been there several times. Both staff and doctors (with a few exceptions) were unfriendly, customer service is terrible if you have a complaint. What is worse, I found that some doctors are way below the professional level one would expect them to be at such a place for such a price. Not going there again if I can help it. You should find another place too!

    Just paid 36,000 Forint (about 100 Euros) to see a doctor. The appointment started about 30 minutes late. When I saw the doctor, she rushed me and essentially told me to stop asking questions after about 10 minutes. I came to see her for 3 separate issues and I couldn't possibly cover all 3 issues in 10 minutes. I was so rushed that I couldn't ask the questions I wanted to and the appointment was essentially a waste.

    I received a recommendation for thyroid surgery. I first tried to go to state hospitals, but due to the poor conditions, I decided to have the procedure done privately. Which in retrospect was a very good decision, even if such an expense is above average for an average person! But health cannot be measured in money, and this hospital is outstanding with its professionalism, kindness of the staff, and technical standards! Special thanks to Dr. Endre Pálfi for his high-level work!

    I do NOT recommend it to anyone. I have been a patient for 8 years now. In the past, it was so much better, the doctors had time for examination and giving advice, now they only do their administration during the reduced 20 min slot for a patient. In my last 5-6 visits at different doctors none of them could give me any helpful advice or receipt. Also, you have to wait 10 days for a BASIC specialist (like gynecologist) with an urgent matter. Thanks, but even the national health care system is better now than Medicover.

    Bad service! First my appointment was cancelled and only when I arrived there they told me that but later they managed to fix it. The papers they give don't have the contact information of the doctor (meaning you can't contact your doctor directly). I tried calling the call center maybe they can transfer my call, they refused and asked me what I need! A patient should not be discussing their medical situation with the call center, only with their doctor, Medicover apparently did not know that.

    I have two consecutive appts, then I need to check in twice, all my data are read out loud, twice. Before my 2nd, I had 20 mins, but I wasn't given the consent form for mammography, so when I am called, it turns out I have to wait yet another 10-15 mins because first I need to fill in the form.     Adminstration is as bad as a state hospital. The health care specialist confused the neurologists with a gastroenterologist. If you dont speak Hungarian a random receptionist will help... Great place for healthy people. however, if you have a serious condition, go anywhere else ...literally anywhere else... After 3 months of navigating in this unprofessional system, our investigation led to the only truly good professional that we met at Medicover: dr Agnes Tóth, an endocrinologist, who looked into the entire file and explained the bigger picture in detail. She was brilliant, precise, genuine, straightforward and really throughout diligent. She went an extra mile to solve certain problems that in Hungary are labeled “nemlehet”, meaning “not possible”. She made it possible.

    From January this year, my workplace took out insurance for employers with Medicover. My girlfriend spent 25.000HUF (≈70€) on a consultation with a doctor who got rid of her in a few minutes, having barely examined her and telling her she suffered hemorrhoids. After nearly 3 months of inefficient (expensive) treatment, we went to a public hospital where she was diagnosed a totally different problem which required another treatment —after a proper examination and explanations provided by the doctors. Don't waste your time and money in private clinics.

    I highly recommend going for a treatment to Medicover. Having an operation at the hospital of M. I found the whole process excellent; starting from the examinations, to the adequate waiting period, through the professionalism and kind approach of the doctors, nurses and support staff. They have great doctor's and the surgeon I saw had over 20 years operating so I was happy to meet him. After years of uncomfortably trying to walk, I am now pain free.

    I paid for surgery, along with anathesia. They promised to refund me for the anathesia, which I never received. It has now been 3 to 4 weeks and I hav yet to receive the refund. I have called and emailed them over ten times and my follow up has needed to border on harrassment to receive any response to them whatsoever. If you want to do with a hospital that refuses to respond to you when you need something from them, then this is your place. Otherwise, go somewhere else with your hard earned money.

    Worse Possible Care Provided: I chose Medicover for my Child Birth Due to below reason. 1. Language Barrier: Medicover People Speaks English so it should be easy. 2. Reviews and Facility : With 1st visit you will be impressed with the facility and I aggree facility was good. What Was good: 1. Initial Checkups to check baby heart Rate. 2. Few Nurses(I can count on fingers) which were really good and served really well (be it Delivery or after care) 3. Alertness of Pediatrec Doc: Thanks to his alertness we caught hold of my baby's sickess at very early stage. What was worst: 1. Except one Nurse : No Nurse speaks English in Baby Care Department and except few no nurse speaks English in mid wife section Inspite of knowing that neither me and nor my wife speaks Hungarian : Out of 3 nights Spend: for 2 Nights there were none of nurse were speaking English and my wife had to make them understood using google translate and that too her already painful condition. 2. Food Quality: Worst possible food is given for vegetarians. One on hand doc was saying to avoid food which could cause gas and on other hand Gaseous foods are being served from Medicover! 3. Here comes my worst nightmare which is still not stopped: My wife's sutures were not done properly and got infection in 2 weeks. for that Medicover re did them again(At Medicover cost) at 3rd week and after that start charging us for control appointment(2 times) and by that time Medicover just wanted to get rid of this case and finally doc said every thing is ok and come back after 3 months but my wife is still in pain so looking at such behavior from medicover we had second opinion and seems there the sutures done for second time also is not done correctly and there is gap and now it might need to lead another round of sutures. So in the end my wife's medical case is ruined by Medicover so I would put second thought for people who wants to go for them and inspite for paying an hefty amount of 800K HUF we are still doing rounds of hospitals just because team in medicover could not do their job properly !

I was in many countries and visited good and bad clinics and this one the worst Ive ever been to, and not only in Budapest. Their foot "specialist" is a complete joke. He litterally didnt even check me. Gave me a wrong diagnosis which was not relevant for my symptoms, even he said that. He is litterally didnt get out of his chair even to check my feet, and I had savere pain on top of my foot. Their website clearly states "provide translated documents if necessary" and "assist with any ad hoc requests" both of which are a lie. Their "Medical Tourist Manager" is a glorified receptionist whose only abilities are limited to booking appointments, and she's not even good at that. Terrible service - do not recommend.

    I used to be international student in Hungary and I have been covered by medicover. They are one of the best healthcare system in the Hungary. People might say they are expensive or something else but we should not forget that they are privately owned and most of the private companies is there for to make money and give quality services. I used their service three and I was quite happy with them. One of the best healthcare system in this country.

    Very good experience. I always use it for normal appointments and doctors are always very nice, and everything is punctual. Since im insured by my employer, i dont pay, so i dont know about the prices. I had tonsillectomy surgery which was not covered by my insurance, but there was 20% discount. Dr Csoka Janos did my surgery. It was very successfull. The night at hospital was great, nurses took very great care of me. Healing process was very easy.

    I would have used the insurance paid for by my company for the first time, but I lost interest and am looking for something else. I have a Medicover white package, but it does not include a simple specialist examination. In my opinion, vascular surgery is a basic thing, especially in this country, and HUF 27,990 for an examination. I would have liked to have the surgery done by them, but no longer, I'd rather look for something else. Another simple thing I wanted to use was the lab. Thrombosis has occurred many times in the family. I wanted to see this. You can't do this just like that either... You need an internal medicine recommendation, because if you don't recommend it, then it's also fully paid. In private medical care, I would have received an appointment with a "simple" internist (every second general practitioner) on March 7th, i.e. 3 weeks! I think this is unacceptable in a highly paid sector! I finally asked for an appointment with the state internal medicine yesterday and I can go on Wednesday! (4 days) This mindlessly promoted medicover is a damn big disappointment. I can't bring you good news for sure! I personally cancel the insurance with my company. I don't pay for anything.
