    THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH: The receptionists at this location DO NOT know English enough to communicate basic medical information. They scheduled me for the WRONG doctor after I specifically told them on the phone what kind of illness I had and which specialist I needed to see. They tried to get me to see a general practitioner who WOULD NOT PERFORM BASIC LAB WORK I needed (which is a standard practice any general doctor with an MD should be able to perform). They tried to make me pay for the appointment. The doctor knew that I needed care immediately and tried to explain to the receptionists who were very young and very dumb (the girl didn't even know how to use their system to look up specialists let alone call them or use google maps). In the end the poor gen. practitioner went behind the staff desk and began to do the receptionists' work for her. Also this clinic had no sense of privacy and the girls were actually laughing at my English. Horrible clinic, horrible staff...at least the doctor was trying to be nice. FYI there are NO NURSES here to triage Also, take a clue from the other reviewers...the English speakers score this place 0, the Hungarians, 5 star. That means the language barrier is too big to generate any help.

    Do not waste your money on this clinic. Terrible service for this price, incompetent customer service, doctors couldn't care less about the patients. Here's my story I had an otolaryngology appointment for Monday because I was sick several times during the summer with the same cold-like symptoms. Doctor really did not examine me properly but I was happy because at least he prescribed some antibiotics in the EESZT system that I hoped will help me with the recurring sicknesses. I paid 27.000 HUF for the examination. However, when I went to the pharmacy, the lady told me antibiotics were not prescribed in the system. I called the Medicover customer service line and here's when the funny part comes. The operator totally misled me. He told me I have to buy the e-receipt option for an additional 5.000 HUF in the Medicover webshop to get the medicine. Which was obviously false information because the price of the prescription is included in the medical examination fee. I called them again and another operator told me I should wait a few hours because some doctors prescribes the medications for the patients in bulk at the end of their workday (?!?!???), plus it could take time for the prescriptions to go through the system. Ok, I waited, then went back to the pharmacy, medication was still not prescribed. I called them the 3rd time while I was standing in the pharmacy, hoping this could go through quickly. This time they finally admitted that there might have been a problem and they will look into it (this was on Thursday). I got no information when exactly I can expect the medication will be prescribed, they just told me they will call me when they managed to investigate the issue. So I left the pharmacy. At this point I was so sick that I really needed the antibiotics so I decided I'm not waiting any longer and I reached out to my GP who helped me immediately. Medicover called me back Friday afternoon to tell me the medication was prescribed and I can go to pharmacy and get it. When I asked what caused the problem, they didn't tell me. No apology for the inconvenience. I made a complete fool of myself in the pharmacy showing up 4 times checking whether the medication is available, not to mention the fact that my condition obviously did not improve without the medication. Medicover, please do not copy paste the same text as response to my complaint that you used everywhere and make this even worse. If you do, that would prove you didn't even read this review till the end and you handle complaints with the same indifference as you handle your patients.

    Well, If you want to be taken seriously and professionally, do not go to this place. I have sickness so I have to go to check up every 6 months. I was having check ups in Germany so far, this year I went to Medicover. Firstly I was not informed what is the protocol in Hungary when they can do the test for me.- there was no problem in Germany with that- I paid for the service but the cancer test could not be taken. I was keeping calm, no problem that I live abroad, I scheduled my stay so that I can go to doctor too. It is very important for me that they run the test due to my sickness. I was okay, let’s keep calm , I can go another time when I am in Hungary so that I do not lose the money. I got another appointment, I called them hour ahead that my plan is delayed I will be 10 minutes late, please inform the doctor to make sure that I can somehow secure my place and I can take the test. (I had one exam last year at Medicover and it took 5 minutes with consultation😅) The lady from customer service was ignorant and she did not help me at all. I rushed to the clinic, and they informed me that they can not take the test. 🤯🤯 I called them hour ahead, made the effort, I rushed there. I am leaving Hungary and I will not return back for 6 months at least, they do not have any suitable appointment or they could not resolve it for me even though they know my situation. My parents live in the countryside, 4 hours from Budapest so I was on given days in Budapest. I got an appointment at another clinic, so I have to pay money there too. I asked them to refund my money (30 000 HUF) because they couldn’t accommodate me, they did not want to find any ways. In the end they declined my complain and they told me that I should be happy because they do not charge me for 20 000 HUG because I couldn’t attend my appointment. I LOST 30 000 HUF, and it turned out at the other clinic I have a problem, which was not discovered by Medicover through ultrasound, 2 weeks later it was discovered by other clinic. They reply to this was the following: “the body is always changing” They are not just unethical, unprofessional, they can not even treat patients. IF YOU WANT TO AVOID STRESS AND PROBLEMS, DO NOT GO HERE. vERY UNETHICAL,UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE!🥵😡

    I had basically positive experiences, most recently I was in dentistry, before that in orthopedics. At the dental consultation, the doctor was kind and gave useful advice, I was satisfied. The downside is that the prices are quite high compared to a Hungarian middle-class wallet, I chose the place only because of the company insurance.

    PLEASE AVOID to have it as proper insurance. Doctors will act blind and basically say they see nothing, unless you are in very very bad condition. Doctors have usually agressive behaviour, I already 2 bad experiences. Only good for massage and physiotherapy and stuff. Sadly, can’t change because it’s provided by work but definite NO to sevices. Medicover please don’t reply to send you the case because I already did once before and it seems like you can’t fire doctors for their blindness and bad behaviour. Thank you.

    I had a pulmonology examination where the doctor was extremely condescending and judgmental. Even now, I can't imagine how they treat people like this during a private health examination. I have to agree with the person in front of me that a state clinic examination is also different. It is simply heartbreaking that the company where I work pays serious money for this service.

A pultnál ülő hölgy elég gorombán közölte, hogy még csak 2 perce vagyunk túl az időpontomtól és mindenki időpontra jön. Közben bennt kiderült, hogy a rendszerük nem működött rendesen. Amivel nem lenne bajom, megértem. Az bosszantott fel, hogy így kellett az páciensekkel foglalkozó kolléganőnem kezelnie ezt a helyzetet.

Ezért vettem ki 2 nap szabadságot, melyet módosítani már nem tudok, és ebben az évben sajnos több ilyen szabadnapom nincs. Felháborítónak tartom, hogy ez így derült ki, és az ő hibájukat nem orvosolták. A hölgy által felajánlott alternatívák egy 2 napos, 1-1 órás vizsgálatsorozatból, egy több hétig és sok óráig eltartó vizsgálatsorozatot csinált volna.     Please if you are able make an appointment in any other Medicover institution in Hungary. I’ve been in multiple and the Eiffel Clinic is just a bad apple. I certainly believe they have just as excellent medical professionals as the other private hospitals, but it is for nothing if you are getting held back because of their misleading, rude and unprofessional receptionist staff so much that you might not even get to the doctors office. Truly disappointed. update: shortly after this i needed an other appointment and i went to Medicover Hospital at Vaci street 29-31. 100% better service, i can recommend it over this clinic.

    1.NO BOOKING PLATFORM AVAILABLE IN 2022! 2. NOT RECEIVING EMERGENCY CASES! 1.In what universe a private healthcare provider in 2022 does not have a booking platform? Every time you need to book an appointment it's a cumbersome process of checking back and forth the availabilities with the agents at the call center. 2. On top of that, today I had an emergency eye infection and I had to see a doctor ASAP, yet the call center agent offered me earliest appointment options of weeks later and claimed that they cannot access emergencies. I've been paying Medicover Family insurance for 2 years now and the first time I had a real health issue, they declined to see me. Well, I'll make sure not to renew my membership next year! What's the point really - by the time I get to see a doctor I will lose my eye! I understand that doctors may be fully booked, but shouldn't a healthcare provider like this create a schedule with a buffer for their doctors so that they can receive patients that need immediate treatment? To make matters worse the call center agent told me that I can call back tomorrow to see if there is any cancelation for this week - but at the same time they cannot be bothered to call me back as soon as a slot opens! Well, surely I can keep calling you dear every hour or even holding you in the line for the whole day in the event of anyone canceling - but come on, both of us wouldn't need to go though all this if there was a booking platform available in the first place that I could be checking from time to time manually or even giving me the option as a customer to set an auto-notification trigger in such an event of cancelation.THANKS BUT NO THANKS

    Worst and most unprofessional people to foriegners ever. The doctor here prescribed an allergologist examination and told me to call them in August. I did call them now. And after one year of wait and having health problems for a year. They told me they cannot book an appointment as I do not speak hungrain. I told them I waited one year for this appointment can you please call a nurse to translate. They said no we don't do that. The test was prescribed by a doctor at medicover. They told me to call them in August and now this. This is just an example of how unprofessional they are towards foreign people and their health. Worst doctors, worst services and inefficient people and service.

    If I could give zero stars, I would. Through my workplace, I was able to use the tests for free. I experienced amazing incompetence in all areas. Even a simple blood test was painful, and it had to be repeated because it wasn't their fault. It's not as pleasant as a blood test, but when after a colonoscopy I get the result that it may not have been successful... so it would be worth repeating it, that's rough. Its only positive is that the waiting room is more civilized compared to the state healthcare. However, in all other respects, a series of incomprehensible errors characterizes every investigation. It's as if only interns work there... I don't recommend it to anyone, and I say this as seriously as possible on behalf of many, many people I know! In my opinion, I would only say that I wrote the problem to them, but they didn't even reply!

    DONT GO TO MEDICOVER! DONT GO TO MEDICOVER! If you are an expat don't go here!!! On the website, it says they provide Healthcare in English and Hungarian. But when I saw the doctor she spoke very bad English, also I told her where the pain was and she didn't examine well. She gave me some medicine and send me to get an x-ray, when I asked her how do I get the results, she was not sure and didn't know. So I asked the lady at the reception, How do I get my results? She also was not sure, ask the nurse that will take the x-ray. The nurse said the doctor will let you know, I think. So when I got back to the reception I asked one more time, can you please tell me how I will get my results? She asked some colleagues and she said you will get it online. So I went home with medicine and I had to wait for the results of the x-ray. Next day I had so much pain that I can't walk, I can't lay down, just laying on one side. Long story short at the end I had to go to the hospital, and I had no more trust in Medicover so I went to Duna Medical Center and they are the best! The doctor speaks English, all my doctor papers are in English and they take the time to help you. So my conclusion: DONT GO TO MEDICOVER!

    Do not go here! Dr gyorffy laszlo shouldn't even be practicing! I went to him and told him what I thought I had, he repeatedly told me no, I told him I have got this from sex and he also told me i didn't and i had to argue with him and he told me not its definitely not that and gave me cream for something else.. long story short I was 100% correct and how he could be so wrong amazes me!     Mixed to bad experience. Wasn’t sure about my Botox appointment , so call center told me to register as a consultation and if I have the procedure they will charge only the procedure price. If I’ll be advised not to take the procedure then only consultation price. Guess what. THEY CHARGED BOTH for 20 min I was there !!! The specialist was good tho. I made lab test and nurse couldn’t find my veins and she did it terribly, she did it on my wrist and while doing it, it was hurting and she was moving the needle while it was inside!!! Also, I paid 27K forints to look into my ears and nose and throat, and after I was advised to go for a CT but no help to book it, and I was told that I need to book another appointment to get help with result of my CT test…of corse payment will be needed again… such a waste of money… However, orthopaedic was a great experience. She was very helpful, kind and professional. She is 5 stars but the rest is 2.

I entered the room, she asked how old I was and why I came with my complaints when covid epidemic was around. "You complaints are not important, at your age you can't have anything serious" . No questions were asked about how I feel, what might cause this, how longs it lasts, nothing. I guess I wouldn't have come to a doctor if I felt OK and didnt suffer from stomach issues for several months. I asked her to prescribe me a lactose intorency test and she prescribed me the one that they don't do at Medicover because of covid nowadays. When I asked about another type of lactose test, she refused to give it to me and said that I should wait until epidemic is over and maybe then they will be so kind to check my issue. If I am not OK with this then I should visit another clinics - that was the answer from a doctor. This is not that kind of service that you can expect from a PRIVATE clinics. I dont think I will ever come back to general practitioner at any of medicover clinics, very terrible experience

    Horrible experience at gynecology. The doctor told me im young so i can't have problems. She dismissed everything i said. I am throwing up and fainting regulalry and she was like: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The audacity to act like this at a PRIVATE PRACTICE where you pay to be listened to and checked out, It is unacceptable and I can wholeheartedly say to anyone reading this, not to go this clinic for gynecology.     The call center staff tell you they know English, but a toddler has them beat. They can't understand simple medical terms. Not a first time offence, I wouldn't post a review based on a single experience. I think I went to Medicover in Budapest 4-5 times this past year, there's always a cvasi-speaker answering for English callers. "press 9 for an English speaking operator" is an example of pure optimism. It also took them 5 working days to send a test result that I know takes 24-48 hours (been doing it for years in at least half a dozen test labs). I'm waiting for my other set of results that also should've been ready in 1-2 days. Went there on Monday, I'm writing this review Friday night, so it will be a week at best until I see them. Absolutely ridiculous standards. The staff is friendly, though, it's only fair to point that out. It's the only reason why I'm giving them two stars, not one. Too bad management is sub-par.

    I scheduled our COVID PCR test for a flight home back a couple days before. They send you a confirmation email letting you know what time to come, so make sure you double check that after making your appointment. There was no option to pay online, so we came 5 minutes early to pay and then sat down in the waiting room. There were clear indicators of where to go for the PCR test on the doors leading up to the entrance. We were in and out within 10 minutes. We took the oral mouth test at 7AM and received an email at 3PM with the results. Make sure you take a picture of your invoice because it also has the password to open up the results. The receptionist will also remind you when she provides the hard copy of your invoice. I would highly recommend if you need a PCR test to fly home! Quick, easy, and reliable!

    Beware... i booked a visit with english speaking doctor. The visit was 36k huf - I thought ok bit expensive but ok... haven't been at doctors ages, maybe that's the price... Turned out they charge 9k huf of it only so the doctor speak english to you! But this you figure out only when you pay (prepay before meeting a doctor) your invoice... they don't tell you that on the phone at the time you book your visit... Disgrace! Also tge whole examination was a joke for this price... and it ended up not solving my problems whatsoever. And the doctor said "i'm not sure but it could be this or this but I'm not sure." And he didn't even offer any further examination or anything... my god...

    Dr. Lengyel Zsófia Laura has treated my teeth and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. One of my canines was almost totally decayed and another specialist I consulted elsewhere concluded that treatment of that tooth would not be possible. Nevertheless, she was able to clean up the root canal and strengthen it for further crown placement. Exceptionally competent and professional. With that kind of standard for service I would recommend this clinic to anyone, without hesitation.

    Today it was a total circus. I have booked 3 appointments (with same person on phone) to nefrologus, to belgyógyász and to pulmonologus, on same day, one after another. I was charged for all 3 in advance. I had consultation about my kidneys with nefrologist and then for the next appointment I wasn't called. And it happened that nefrologus and belgyógyász is THE SAME PERSON so he decided this was "2 in 1". So for 1 consultation I was charged double price. I said I have non kidney related questions too. So doctor saw me again for 5 min. But come on! Did I really need 2 appointments 1.5 hours waiting time in between, and to pay double price?? Why would they book me same doctor twice? Why when I was checking in and paying nobody said anything. It's pure cheating. Then pulmonologist. He literally said he has no possibility to help me in this clinic. And we talking here about simply diagnosing pneumonia. He didn't even have a CD drive to see my CT images. I pushed so he went somewhere and borrowed one. How crazy is this, doctor for lungs is sitting in a room, consulting for money and doesn't even have possibility to see images. And he literally told me that I should go to state hospital because there they can make everything - blood test, CT, sputum microbiology, etc. And here if he send me to examinations the time I get next appointment to him results will be already old. And that even sputum test he has no possibility to take. Please, tell me, what did I pay the money for? To listen that I should go to háziorvos and get beutalo for another place where I will wait for 20h like in every ambulancia here. That's why I went to private hospital, thats why I pay - not to do that. And if this clinic can't even fast check u for pneumonia then what do they can? Why on earth can't Medicover orginize a comprehensive check like other private hospitals, when x ray can be done right away and blood test if necessary and especially blood pressure monitor fixing on your hand should not require a separate appointment in a week. Why can't they make joint examination nefrologus + kidney ultrasound. No answer. But signing twice to one doctor and charging double for one consultation is the best. But maybe pulmonologist telling u to go to state hospital instead is even better. 27 000 HUF advice. I thought something changed. Medicover was cheating before, that's why I broke my yearly contract with them like 12 yeaes ago after rheumatologist sent me to MRI included in the contract, I had it scheduled, and then I got I call from unknown general therapist, who has never seen me in her life, that she overruled the decision of reumatológus, of specialist consulting me, canceled my MRI and decided that x ray will be enough.     started with a basic rude reception experience. but what is really ridiculous is that i have received my MRI report in Hungarian only i have asked to get it in english and they not bothering to give it to me so my insurance company cant accept this report so i paid for nothing the reply was “ We checked your booking, you didn’t ask and pay for the English version. In that case already we can not provide.” it’s a simple thing to do and they won’t bother at all! also i would have paid for the english version but they didn’t even offer that option after hence also when i booked no one asked anywhere if i wanted in Wnglish or hungarian also asked to talk to a manager and no reply!

    I went there with coughing and pneumonia symptoms with medicover silver insurance provided by my company. They said I need an immediate lung x-ray, so I should go to the nearby state hospital, they can’t do it there. In the phone, a week before I said I probably have pneumonia, corroborated by my local physician, I specifically told that a lung x-ray will be required. Another colleague of mine went there with some symptoms requiring a blood test, he was also sent to the state hospital for a blood test. This service is absolutely useless, telling me to go to the state hospital could be done by phone. I spent a full day travelling there, waiting forever in the state hospital then travelling home. I don’t care I have silver there, I’m so disgusted I rather pay and go somewhere else to get proper care.

    Went to medicover in Budapest for some dental work after an accident chipped my front tooth. My contact was called Bence and he couldn’t of been better, arranged taxis to and from the airport always available to give me advice on the local area covered all requested paperwork for tax returns and notes for work. Always came back to me instantly with any questions I had, truely a gent. I had the pleasure of working with Dr Adam and Dr Laszlo. I felt they genuinely cared about my well being they are confident and gentle with me throughout my procedures. Dr Laszlo spoke slowly and made me feel calm and relaxed (great taste in music) explained everything in a way where I felt so comfortable and calm. Highly recommended and cured my lifetime fear of the dentist. If u need any work done come here!!

    I am a patient of Medicover Eiffel Clinic from 06/11 - 10/11/ 2023 where Dr Lengyel Zsófia has charged me for two extra services which she never provided to me. I had asked for it verbally but Doctor Lengyel never done it for me. Please if you go to Hungary dentist check all your payments from invoice before leaving country. Doctor can be a racist and lie to you what happened to me.

    I've had an appointment there today for PCR test, for such in Hungary you need to have first an appointment with Police (done 24 hours before). When arriving the PCR test centre was closed. I went to the next door and the lady there did nothing but blame me for such, not a call to try another appointment, nothing, according to her, i should have noticed that the e-mail entitled " Online Individual appointment booking PCR Coronavirus PCR testing" didn't have an exact time in the end and therefore was not valid. Of course it was fully my fault, they never aknowledged that MAAAAYBE is not good to send and e-mail of appointment when there is no... appointment. I was extremely mistreated, lost days of work for a mistake that for the size of Medicover should be easily overcame. I would never trust them my health when so many decisions depend on the least of empathy and they clearly do not have.     We had a great experience getting tested to fly back to the US. We requested our appointments online and heard back with day and time within 30 minutes. We arrived at the clinic (which was very well marked with PCR signs) a few minutes early to pay and got in right away to get tested (throat swab only). We were in and out of the clinic in less than 10 minutes and received our results later the same day. Thank you!

    Medicover used to be good. The past years has really deteriorated. To see any other doctor,you need an appointment with a GP now. That was not the case a year ago. The awful thing is that you need to wait almost two weeks to get an appointment with a GP. So for a doctor to check my issue,I need to wait a month? Pathetic for private health care.

    It has been the best medical experience of my life, I got back my faith in healthcare. As a Hungarian I am used to terrible healthcare. Even in private you often pay a fortune, and barely get attention or treat you well. This clinic is different. I was here for a dermatology consultation. Through self-check in I got a number with the room number on it, there was no delay. I got everything I came for; and as I will be away, they did not only look at my problem, also treated it right away. Totally can recommend it! 🤘🏼

    Very poor experience, esp. at administration. Even at setting up an appointment for COVID-19 test full registration process has been done in 15+ mins over the phone. All those details could be registered at reception within 2 minutes at log in. At sending results another 2 calls were needed as mail address was copied incorrectly and obviously no one realised that it is returned as non-deliverd. After receiving 1 result out of 4 another follow-up call was needed to get the nother 3 reports. I will never ever return!

    Scandalous! We took our elderly family member there, without any effort or examination the orthopedic doctor suggested an useless spa (not to mention expensive) treatment. Subsequent examinations elsewhere revealed serious issues in need of urgent treatment. A waste of time and money. Irresponsible! Avoid orthopedic treatment here at all cost.
